help with game maker 6.1 simple

i cant seem to work game maker 6.1 can someone help im not sure how to compose a game

Using GM takes some learning, especially if you want to make an RPG, so don't expect to be able to make a pokemon game without alot of time and dedication. Don't let me scare you though, GM is a great tool once you have a firm grip of it's ability.
