Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Heros

In the June CoroCoro Magazine, along with DP screens the two heros were shown. I thought it would be nice to edit them and make them look like the official arts so I did it. So what do you think of the Characters?

Sure you can :) They are free to use. :P (Hehe I already designed my profile in DP style :D) I think the boy is ok. It's just difficult to stay with the idea. BTW Am I the only one that thinks that Pearl looks like Blue? o.o (The FireRed/LeafGreen hero)

Seeing as the game's characters default names are the versions names, I'd assume Pearl is her name and Diamond is the guy's name.

Like the look of the games so far, don't really like the character designs for the main characters themselves though. Something about the boy just seems off.

It has to be, they name every hero by the name game of course. Diamond looks very cool with his hat, like Aragornbird said, he looks like a french guy with that hat and Pearl somehow reminds me of Winona..maybe its because of the red thing she has around her

Pearl's cool-looking but her outfit is soooo unpractical for a Pokemon journey. In fact Blue's new outfit was too. I cant imagine traveling through a region with a skirt that short and such a long scarf. What happens if she stepped on it and she choked herself? Now Hinata's outfit is much more practical
Pearl reminds me of a witch in a way. And she's kind of normal-looking compared to the last few girls. And YEA! SHE DOESN'T HAVE BROWN HAIR!!!!

The boy looks freaky-like a french/english school boy from England!!! O_o If I ever be him in teh game, ill name him Alex or Jaques! But the girl looks soo awesome! She'll be my Jaquie, Pearl, or Sasha!^^ Well we wanted something unique, and we got it! (at least in the boy) The girl looks, (like someone said) like the one from LG/FR.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Sadly, no snow in the new screenshots but hopefully we’ll have actual wintery cities and areas.

The girl on the other hand is awesome. But her hat kinda annoys me too... and her skirt is reeeeaaaallllllly short! O_O;

They make me think of Italy for one reason or another, but I find them to be alright. Pearl is indeed pretty (mainly because of the hair), and I, for one weird reason or another, like Diamond's hat (probably because of the angles).

The only male player I liked was the one in R/S/E. (Brendan).
He was cool looking, and his little in-game sprite was adorable!!

Out of the two games, I was really going to get Diamond, but just because I like the girl better, I'm now getting Pearl!
XD Yes I know they'll have the 'Pick the gender' thing in the games so versions won't matter....but still!! xP

I'll give my description again:
Diamond is ok, but the hat bothers me (And nearly everyone else) adn I agree when some are saying that Brendan was the best Male Hero. I liked Red, but he was plain. To the response of someone saying Diamond was plain, I think the scarf stands him out from the others.
Pearl is hawt and all, the skirt, the hat and the top are great (She would be a nice addition to Ash's group in teh amine) and yes, she does look a lot like Blue (FRLG Heroine) and those boots are pretty fugly, but all in all if I get both Diamond and Pearl, I might have to play as the girl in Pearl.

I agree with almost everyone. The male's hat is kind of bad, but, still, unique. Just like Pokémon characters and games should be.

The girl is hawt, like Matt said. I just got my DS today after seeing the screens for D/P last night, made me excited.

You know what would be cool? If they were siblings (They could be siblings). So your sibling(=rival) could be trekking across the countryside (one step ahead of you as usual) and then you can meet up with him/her at times for some awesome battles.
I hope in D/P the Elite Four get stonger each time you challenge them, you can rematch the gymleaders like in Emerald, who also get stronger, and you can rematch your rival, who of course also get stronger each time.

I'm talking about this because I want to always have a challenge.

I think the game looks nice.. but it seems to me, that the character designs are getting worse and worse, like they're running out of ideas or something.

Because I really don't like the look of either of them.. the girl doesn't have the cute factor imo, and the guy doesn't have the coolness about him.. it's wierd.. But ever since Wes in Colosseum, the characters have gotten worse.. Brendan and May have beent he best set IMO.. and FR/LG are nice too, but these just look.. well.. different.

The overworld sprite for the dude is ridiculous. I am actually gonna be embarassed if someone sees me playing this game and walking around looking like that. No problem. The male heroes scarf also looks gay. I dont like the male hero at all. What is it with Nintendo and making silly male heroes? The Ruby/Sapphire one had a sock on his head! If they go and call the dude "Pearl" I am going to be seriously pissed with Nintendo. Diamond looks alright i suppose but it could have been worse, look on the bright side. His overworld sprite looks abit bad.

I don't mind the characters much, but I'd still wish they would let us customize our own main characters in the begining of the game.

Give us like a option of different face types..and body builds...and then go into extra detail like chosing hair color, different clothes, shoes, and accesories.

There's so much Diamond-hating! I like Pearl and I think Diamond looks alright. It's just his back-sprite in battle that looks wierd. He's not really that bad. I think I still might choose him just because I prefer guys over the girls. (Crystal was an exception becuz I had Silver and I wondered what It'd be like playing as a girl.)
