New Diamond & Pearl Info featuring Manaphy

It would seem that the cute water Pokémon that is the star of the upcoming Pokémon Movie, Pokémon Ranger & The Prince of the Sea - Manafi, is unobtainable in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl.

According to the information revealed in CoroCoro, you need to have obtained and completed the mission where you have to regain the Manafi Egg from Team GoGo. After you have regained it, Professor Shinbara in Ranger says that the egg cannot hatch in Fiore but can only hatch in Shinou, the new region found in Diamond & Pearl, and that it must be sent there.

So using 2 DS's, and a copy of the new games aswell as your copy of Ranger, you can send the egg across to your party in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and hatch it there.

So there you go, thats how you obtain Manafi

And when we thought that with a WiFi Fuction all Nintendo events would not be to catch unobtaitable Pokemon... This however give us hope of the W Mission coming in USA and Europe. Thanks for the information.

Thank God that it doesn't require a Nintendo event because thats what I first thought when I first seen this Pokemon. But now I have to buy a copy of pokemon Ranger. So since its an egg I'm guessing that its breedable and one of my friends can give me one if he or she breeds.

you know someones going to make a online program code that will go thru your home network and send it to your ds that way like they can do with everyother special pokemon you get infared or wirelessly if not that then you will download manafi thru a cable

Well I'm not going to do anything special untill I get more background information of Manafi, but its not a legi because it hatches out of an egg.

yes, it's unbelievably rare. It's the freakin' star of the ninth movie! It's rarer than mew, celebi, Jirachi AND Deoxys!

This will be the first "star" Pokemon that actually has a way to get and its a simple way.

How is it rarer than them? They can't be rarer than eachother, since only one can be gotten per game normally, except Manafi, which could be obtained multiple times in Diamond and Pearl if you replay Rangers a lot, making Manafi more common than them in a sense and making your post worthless in meaning.

wait a minute. Your saying its not a legi cuse it hatches from an egg? Not true, im afraid, the part about manaphy not being a legi I mean. Jirachi, the "mew" in R/S/E was a legi and Jirachi hatched from an egg in "jirachi wish maker" And you'll probly respond, " that was a movie" Indeed, but manaphy is also hatched from an egg in a movie, therefore, manaphy, too, is a legi. O.O Well, there's my theory.

Game Freak/Nintendo is getting on my nerves. With this, we are coming out with pokemon "XXX" but you need pokemon "XXX" to get all the pokemon. Or you need an event or to do something special, to get a really legendary pokemon or something.

That is getting on my last nerve. What are these events to get mew n stuff anyway. Is it like, you trade a useless pokemon for a mew. Or they transfer into your game?

Dude here in Canberra/Australia[with the exception of Jirachi] We haven't HAD a Nintendo event since 2000ish, so we miss out on most of "Legi"s unless we cheat.

And I cant understand why Nintendo insist on keep doing this stuff, in the long run there just boosting there profit by making you buy two DS's and games and stuff. <<

GBA games don't use DS wireless functions.

Wait I'm confused. Well you can't get that Manafi because like what Zone said you cant have that because GBA's dont use DS wireless functions. They have that clip thing (the thing that came with FR, LG and Emerald)

You're starting to confuse ME now. My idea was to capture the signal from a WonderSpot. Now they capture DS signals. The Manafi download is a DS signal, which means that people can capture it with a laptop.
