Hnnmm... I reckon there will be most of the old ones, and some new ones.. Depends on what new regions [Like desert, beach, cave etc etc] they have.

i think, now this is just more of wishlist thing actually but it would be different and better to the whole pokemon ranger: road to diamond and pearl thing if they replaced team rocket and magma and all that with Pokemon Rangers ( like the one's from the comic ) and say the main one you battle through out the versions eventually has to help you when you prove to him his boss is actually evil or something along them lines blah blah etc. etc. typical pokemon story with a twist........................... i dunno i do tend think about things to much though

I'd like to see a wannabe trainer type for some reason O.o
They'd probaly use Pokémon like:

Larvitar
Dratini
Bagon
Charmander
Squirtle
Bulbasaur

And basicaly first stage Pokémon of Pokémon cooltrainers use.

Cruiser-lots of tropical pokemon like perappu
Flower lady-flower look a like pokemon like sunflora and roselia
Farmer-Miltank, spoink, mareep, and other farm animals!
Show trainer- lots of fancy pokemon like ninetails, vaporion, and maybe even manene!
Chef-munchlax, snubble,maril, etc

I think they had a couple of those in the GSC series, near Goldenrod City.

Anyway...

How about insomniac, with Ghost and Dark-type Pokemon? Should be worth a laugh or two, perhaps with opening or closing statements involving coffee.

I also randomly thought back to the Copycat in Saffron City, and I suddenly thought it'd be a cool idea to have an impersonator/copycat trainer, with either a Ditto or constantly with the species of Pokemon you have on your team. So no matter how many times you battle that trainer, it might always be a challenge (unless, of course, you train to be several levels above that copycat).

I'd also love to see actual ghost trainers. As in, they're dead and wandering around graveyards or haunted points with Ghost Pokemon.

I would love a diver who has the underwater pokemon. I have always wanted a regular trainer that has a starter and other normal poekmon, ex: wingull, zigzagoon.

Um... those names sound rather lame, and trainer types like those already exist:

Grass Grower - Aroma Lady
Fire Blaster - Kindler
Oceaner - Swimmer/Fisher
Ancient Trainer - Ruin Maniac

Flower ladies already exist, they are called ''Aroma Ladies'', though.

As for Show Trainer, Cooltrainers use Pokémon like the ones you mentioned.

I like the idea of chefs though ^^
I don't see why they should have Marills, though O.o They should have Pokémon like Shellder, Slowpoke, Chansey, Exceggcute, after all, clams are considered real treats in many countries, people in the Pokémon world eat Slowpoke tails, Chansey has those fancy eggs and Exceggcute looks like food O.o

Oohs! How about....

Goth-Umm...Dark types....obviously.

Merchant-Hmm...meowth, murcrow, and other cheap/sneaky looking pokemon.

Builder/Construction worker- Machop, Machoke, Loudred, Graveler, and other pokemon that could lift alot!

Disco dude- Jigglypuff, Ludicolo, Illumise, and other pokemon that seem "hip and hoppin..and...you get my point..."

Stunt man- Manene, phampy, numel, spoink, ditto, and other weird..circus pokemon.

Sky diver- Perappu ?evo?, swellow, pidgeiotto, gligar, and other gliding....flying...pokemon.

Begger (( poor guy...:( ))- wishcash, wistmer, spinda, and other hopeful pokes.

Detective- Natu, Unknown, and other mysterious pokes.
