This is an interesting thread. they did say they would put full use to the ds's abilities... so it makes me wonder, but im guessing that they probably wont.

It's called a stylus. And they'll probably use it only for minigames.

I reckon just use it to select your items and stuff, it would save a lot of time instead of scrolling through everything to get your one item. ._.;

There will probably be some use for it. I think there will be mini games and stuff that require the use of it.

On another note, k.webb can you stop attaching so many images in your posts. It takes up space on PC's server. You can link to an image by using img tags. Thanks.

I think menus, Pokemon has never been big on minigames.

But they started getting better a minigames. ex.Pokemon Jump. They just need better ones, and I agree that the menus will be on the touch screen.

Hmm, yes it'll probably need the pen function to play the game... who knows , I maybe wrong...

I think you use it to quickly scroll through entries of the PokeDEX, for one.

That is kind of true, you need something to scroll the pokemon down so you can see all of them..

The pokedex would be good because it's so long to get through.

i say it would most likely be for menus
and i also think that you will be able to get more attacks,and chose them on the touchscreen(thats what it is really called,not thumbpad)

I don't really care for minigames unless you get something out of it.

Well the FR/LG Minigames gave you prizes, and if you got 200 on each(jumps/berries) then you get a star.

it'll make sense if its the pokedex. maybe during battle and you catch the pokemon, maybe instead of a message, it'll be on the touch screen.

I think its for the Poketechi and if there is Pokemon Contest (like RSE) you can breed your Pokemon.

Yes, I'm sure D/P will use the touchscreen. Well, just my opinion is that when you're on the field (Walking around in towns and stuff), the touch screen will have the town map on it, while when you're in a battle, it'll be used for attacks/items/ect. :3

It would make no sense if D/P didn't use the Touch Screen
