Could p/d possibly be set in... Johtto? (sp?)

Sorry if Johtto's spelled wrong. ANY way, ok here's my theory. They seem to be remaking the gamboy color games. Hoenn was made for gameboy advance. They just remade Kanto on gameboy advance, in fire red& leaf green. So, if they continue the pattern, it seems like the next to be remade to more modern cartridges would be the Johtto world. I guess they might make a new world. But I hope they remake Johtto. What do you all think? am I awefully wrong here?

Well i heard that it is going to be a new place but they should
add the jhoto to it like after you go through the game you can
go to jhoto and catch poke mon from the first and second

Diamond & Pearl won't be Johto but hopefully they will make a new Johto version game for the GBA.

The 6-10 year old kids who the games are mainly targeted towards won't care about what Pokemon they can catch in them, they'll just get it because it's a Pokemon game.

And D/P have been confirmed to take place in a new region, Shinou.

Yes, but you sure can't catch all of the r/b/y and g/s/c pokemon in there.... most you get from there that are out of region is maybe like 18-20 new species. Aw I would love to see Johtto remade for GB advance, It's my personal favorite region.. :D But what do we know about this new one?

Yes, it's already ben confirmed that D/P will take place in the Shinou region. And as much as I would love a G/S/C remake, it just doesn't seem likely at this point.

For one, I've read that G/S/C was actually the least favorite generation in Japan (although people outside of Japan seem to love it for the most part). Since the developing company thing is in Japan, it doesn't seem like they'd go to all the trouble and money to remake the least favorite series. If they did, it would probably be for the large number of fans outside of Japan (and the kids who will buy anything with "Pokemon" written on it like Zone said) but I can't see that happening either. However, this is all just going by if what I read was true.

Maybe after D/P and all the other games in production right now come out, they'll try it. However, I really just can't see it happening.

...I agree with Enyce....even though I mostly just traded to get all in Red (the first..) it was annoying...and I don't like it...also cuz they want you to buy both versions just so you could complete one....but at least due to trading though,on my blue version,....I have a party of 100% mewtwo...(six mewtwo)..:P :laugh:

I refuse to trade, and I refuse to buy two games. This time around I will by only one game. I'm gonna decide which one based on the pokemon avalible in it. Also I will not by the 3rd game. That they will most likely make.

Well thats what Gamefeak wants you to do is trade from game to game. Gamefreak is way to smart to put all of the Pokemon into one game.

Sure it would be smart of Gamefreaks/Nintendo to remake G/S/C but face it, it more than likely wont happen since the pokemon are being integrated already. We can trade from R/S/E once you reach certain marks in D/P.

What would be the point for re-visiting the Johto? We already have all Pokemon from third gen.
They made FRLG because we didn't have most of the first gen Pokemon back then, but now we have them all, I think it's pointless to make it.

The DS already has a chat room function which can hold 16 players. My thinking is that the 16 players can be in there but only 2 or 4 people can only battle each other.

pokemon is a collectors item lol im 22 and i play it and i have all the games including green (neva playd cos its jap) pokemon wont ever give up cos theyll find new pokemon to make new types and everything, sure u can buy 1 game u can buy 2 games u can buy the 3rd game but in each game 1 of those 3 will be different and from what looks like ur gunna have to buy pkmn ranger to get manifi lol now that sux big time.. complete 1 game to get an egg yet cant be caught thats a big blow... ull have all ur pokedex filled but that 1 and u cant get it cos u dnt have pkmn ranger... as for the johto thing... bring it johto was the best land and they should forget the hoenn region it was too long and boring took a while to get the hang of things.. thank god for Gamesharks and the walk through walls code lol but seriously if they remake games they should include regions of past present and give a small hit for the future...

I could see this in two ways
1: Nintendo doesn't want to spend the money to re-make them
or 2: Nintendo remakes them (in that that's an extra 1-2 items that they sell)
