THE PLOT
Out in the vast open floats a large island known as Koden. Koden is protected by raging oceans, thunderstorms, heavy rain, whirlpools and so on. And even if you manage to get on the actual island you face the dangers of having to run from erupting volvanos, sandstorms, blizzards and so on.
These disastrous events are caused by the legendary Pokemon that live on the island. Their goal is to get you as far away from the island as the possible. Each legendary causes its on natural disaster, such as Articuno does the blizzards and Zapdos or Raikou might cause the thunderstorms.
Many trainers have tried to get on the island to capture at least one of the legends, but have had no success.
Professor Kusaba has decided to give nine new trainers the chance to actually attempt to get on the island and capture at least one of these legendaries. Your character can have a most wanted legendary that he/she builds up her whole team just to capture that certain legendary.
You are allowed to team up with someone or go alone. The nine of you are given a special backpack that contains useful items that will help you on your journey. This includes a thick blankets, three boxes of matches, four lighters, a thiner blanket, a raincoat, a hat/cap, wollen gloves, ect.
While you can do some shopping for some new outfits later on, you do have winter and summer wear in that bag of yours. The bag is pretty big and is usually used for camping. You should also have a sleeping bag, a torch, some rope, two pairs of sunglasses and a small medical kit used for the minor cuts and bruises.
THE STARTERS
Since there are nine new trainers there will be nine starters-one for the each of you. Depending on the starter you pick you'll be given a TM to use on your starter. They aren't attack TMs, though. They're only ones like Reflect, Double Team, Light Screen, ect. Your starter will also be holding a Berry, Paralyz Berry, Oran Berry or any other self-healing item.
And lastly, your starter will also have a random Egg Move. When I've accepted your character and you've choosen a starter, you'll be given the information you need.
RARE POKEMON
Some Pokemon such as Chansey, Houndour and Eevee will be difficult to obtain. They're mostly gotten as prizes, fork over thousand of dollers to buy one and so on. I'll even award you a rare Pokemon of your choice for excellent role playing.
THE LEGENDARIES
As I explained before each legendary is the cause of a natural disaster or two. Not muchis known about them, so you'll just have to use whatever skills you have.
RULES
Besides the usual rules such as no godmodding, using chatspeak and so on I have my own set of rules for you to follow. They're fairly simple, too.
1.I want good role playing. You don't have to be a great role player, but surely you can be good. I want to see long sentences, paragrapes, correct spelling and grammar and so on. I don't want too many "lazy posts", but occasional ones are fine. I want well-thought of posts.
2.It would be nice if everyone made this as story-like as possible.
3.Pokemorphs, were-Pokemon and humans with special abilities IS allowed. It just depends on what it is. NO legendary 'morphs please.
4.It is possible to be a human or a Pokemorph with special abilities and Were syndrome. It's also possible to play a Were character with special abilities. This is specialy allowed to GOOD roleplayers ONLY. With the except of me, of course. XD
5.You submission to join this roleplay must be "given" to me by PM. That was this topic isn't crowded with character submissions.
6.If you want a certain thing done you MUST request it to ME and only ME by PM.
7.Good roleplaying will get you prizes eventually such as a rare Pokemon (Eevee for example), lots of money, great items and so on.
8.While a legendary can appear in front of you at anytime it's only possible tocatch if you have the right "special item".
9.You can use ALMOST any means nessasary to get what you want.
STARTING POINT
If your character has been accepted then he/she can choose either one of these starters: Torchic, Mudkip, Bulbasuar, Cyndaquil, Squirtle, Chikorita, Treecko or Totodile. My character shall start off with Charmander and EVERY starter is normal.
You'll start off at a Pokemon lab of course and from there you'll gain your starter. *points up to the small list* Eventually you'll be able to get on the island.
THE LEGENDARY SPHERES
They're about the size of a Pokeball, look similar to the three spheres on the Pokemon movie with Lugia and are VERY difficult to get a hold off. If you do manage to get one then it is in everyone else's right to try and take it from you.
To do this, only the following is allowed:
1.Battling for it and setting FAIR rules-The winner gets to keep the sphere.
2.Tricking someone-It's nasty, but with lots of skill and a bit of luck you could pull it of.
3.Grab it-Yeah, if possible then just grab the orb. Then run like the wind.
4.Almost any other means. Seriously. X_x
I'll list the spheres on another post.
SUBMITTING YOUR CHARACTER
Remember that your character must be submitted to me by PM and PM only. If I accept your character then you can start posting here. Also remember that your starting point is at the lab. It's you typical lab with off-white walls, a small table on one side, rows of huge shelves, a small brown wooden box containing the nine starters. It's really just a very boring place.
You can roleplay your character waiting for the only trainers to appear, talk amoungst yourselves or whatever. It really depends just how quickly nine people are accept and start posting.
If your character doesn't have a certain thing such as abilities then just leave it blank.

THE CHARACTER EXAMPLE
I'll show you my own character so that you get a good example of what I want.
Name: Azra
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Human Appearence:
Were-form: Shiny Houndoom with Charizard wings
Were Appearence: A were is usually larger then the normal version of its species with hunched shoulders like a football player, larger teeth, huge paws, glowing eyes (usually red, orange or yellow) and a thirst for blood.
Azra's Were form has no exceptions to any of this. Her Houndoomic body is like your typical shiny blue Houndoom with their silver steel "bones", but the added appearence of huge dragonic wings give her the ability to fly, making her a tough Were to deal with.
Pokemorph: Houndoom, Charizard, Dragonair and Espeon
Pokemorph Appearence: Her hair is butt-length and white-lavender in colour, lightly streaked with wisteria coloured streaks that she applied herself. Her eyes are described as being purple-pink and have a weird name known as heliotrope. Or at least that what she claims. They give nothing away about her past nor her intentions. It's as if they're looking deep into your soul, studying you, waiting for you to make a move.
Ayra is a mix morph. A rare Pokemorph with mixed DNA of more then one Pokemon. In her case she's a Houndoom, Dragonair, Charizard and Espeon mix.
Her fur is short, silvery-lavender in colour and soft to touch. While her feet are pawed her hands are completely normal, save from the soft fur and cruel-looking claws. A long-sounted muzzled filled with sharp canines is enough to scare off any unwanted tag-along. Despite having huge silvery-lavender and purple-black dragonic wings, Azra hardly flies. She perfers good old fashioned walking.
Lastly apart from a red gem on her forehead and huge Espeon ears, she has a long, thick fur-covered Dragonair-like tail, complete with a bright violet orb near the end.
Her outfit is designed to make her feel comfortable. It consits of a pair of tight bondi blue shorts complete with large black buckle and deep pockets that are difficult to try and slip your fingers in. Her thistle coloured top is cut short, covering only her breasts and leaving her midriff exposed. To add to that she also wears a large white coat that is only buttoned up just under her breasts, showing off her slim figure.
Personality: She appears either shy or aloof. Prehaps even both. Just don't let her keep-to-herself nature fool you, though. She does have emotions that are quite well hidden. Some people find her constant silent staring as irritating, but others tend to shrug it off. While not mute, she usually speaks in short sentences, one-worders and a soft tone.
Ability: As well as having the ability of her anthro self, Azra posses a special ability that allows her to tap into ANY Pokemon's mind and make them use a technique they never knew they even had. Unless she gets premission from the Pokemon's trainer this ability will only work on her own Pokemon.
Goal(s): Unknown so far
Favourite Starter: Charmander
Most Wanted Legendary: Rayquaza
Dream Team: Charizard, Espeon, shiny Houndoom, Dragonite, Tyranitar and Skitty

Please excuse the double post. This is where I'm going to put a list of accepted characters. I'll put your name on one side and right next to it is your character's name.
So far we have only seven people who have joined. This does NOT include me. Two more to go.
Starting Trainers
Ayzka-Azra
kokobean22-Kiki Komodo
Eiken-Jeff Wem
Wolf_Goddess-Sam
Barboach-Kona Kombardo
Scottura-Scottura Wyvern
Ninetales-Ari Monokai
Kunoichi-Mina
Water&icepower-Jason Broadwell
Extra Characters: Yes, I will be accepting extra characters now. Extra chracters are different from the original nine that start off from the beggining. The difference is that the "extras" are already on the island of Koden and their Pokemon's level (while having been stronger) doesn't start any higher then twenty-five. While "extras" can role play on the island they may not meet up with the new trainers until sometime later on. At the moment, the "Newbies" aren't even allowed on the island until they've gained their starter.
Extra Trainers
ybur_angel-Candle Nawe
Cheeky Typhlosion-Sorrica Pyra
Nikki23- Minori Nishita (Nishi)
Utami-Rika
Yes, I have decided to begin the role play and if you're one of the seven people who submitted a character and he/she got accepted then you can feel free to post at the bottom. Please make sure to use proper grammar, spelling and add in details. I still have room for one more character to make nine all up, so please sign up by my PM if you're interested to join.
A young women prehaps in her twenties scanned her eyes across the screen, occasionaly sighing in disbelieve as she spotted something that was either idiosyncratic or dubious. The page had a lot to tell about the mysteries of the legendary Pokemon on th island of Koden, but most seem ambiguous. How the legendaries got onto the island and why was unkown. It was easy to think that Articuno, Rayquaza, Mew and the other flight-capable legends flew there way there and how Suicune and Kyogre could have swam their way to the island, but no one could explain how flightless water-hating legendaries such as Entei, Groudon, Regirock and Registeel got there.
Professor Suzuki sighed again as she pulled back a strand of grey-blue hair behind her ear with an index finger, wishing that the ever comical yet resourceful professor Oleastro was there to help her. He was the one who suggested she get this job and she had reluctantly agreed to it, but now she was glad that she had decided to give it a go.
This time she sighed in anxiousness as she checked her wrist watch, the time displaying almost six in the morning. She had been up very early today to prepare for the arrival of nine new soon-to-be trainers that were to arrive at anytime. Grabbing herself another cup of streaming hot coffee and setting down back at her desk she considered reading some more articles about mysterious things, but then thought against it. She might as well just relax before anyone else came in.

Mina had awoken as soon as the dodrio announced daybreak. The first one out of bed and excitedly plunging herself into a shower, cleaning herself and chattering with her family (which consisted of her three elder brothers, her dad and the family garbage bin, Grimer). She was ready in three minutes flat after doing her daily chores like her run around Tanzanite city.
Her brothers obviously beat her like always- but after it was six am, they all departed to the dojang they owned with their father. She was obviously not invited.
But that day, Mina was also heading to her own destination. Professor Kusaba's lab.
"All set," Mina glanced into her pocket mirror, adjusting her thick, dark plaits in front and pushing her huge glasses back up her nose.
Aside from dressing in her travelling clothes, consisting of a dark green tunic, tied with a band and fraying trousers. By face, she didn't appear like a traveller, more like some researcher's assistant or computer nerd- but her clothes suggested otherwise.
It had been a three day hike to get to this Professor Kusaba's lab to obtain her pokemon and she was determined to go to that island and make lots of new friends. Or so the big, almost insane smile told of her face.
She knocked on the door, only to find it automatically opened and skipped inside. Mina was set to make a brilliant first impression.
"Good morning everyone!" Mina cried in a sing-song voice, bowing humbly.

...There it was! The mysterious Pokémon! The one he'd been looking for all along! Jeff finally had it! After all the time he'd spent looking for it, searching for it, hoping for it, there it was, right in front of him. There was no way that he wouldn't be able to catch it now! He threw the Pokéball and...
...And he woke up. It took Jeff a few seconds to adjust to his surroundings, and to accept that the Pokémon was not right in front of him and it wouldn't be getting caught today.
"Hmm, that's the third time this week I've had that dream.", Jeff thought to himself. "I honestly wouldn't care if it ran at this point, I'd just like some closure."
But Jeff had more important things to think about than his dreams today, yes, today Jeff had somewhere to go. The lab of a Professor Kusaba. In a few minutes, Jeff was ready to leave, he made sure he had all the necessary things, he said his goodbyes and set off. Jeff might not have looked the part of someone who was use to traveling long distances, because of his pale skin and such, but he was. He spends most of his time outdoors in some way or other.
About a day or so later he had reached his destination and knocked on the door, it slowly opened. When Jeff saw that no one had opened it, he was slightly taken aback and quietly made his way in.
"...Hello?" Jeff said, closing the door as he walked in.

There were already two people to greet the two new comers. One was a tall women with slightly tanned freackled skin, her grey-blue hair tightened into a neat bun. She smiled as she walked up to the two kids, flicking away that annoying strand of loose hair away from her eyes with a neaty nail polished index finger.
"Hello, I'm Professor Suzuki." She gave Mina and Jeff a quick up and down glance, stil smiling politely. And you two would be?"
As she waited for an answer the second person, also a female also plotted around the room. She payed no heed to Jeff nor Mina, having been more occupied by the single small metal box on the table. Her curtain of silky white-lavender hair cascaded down her back, flowing as she walked. One couldn't help, but notice the girl's fur-covered skin, large dragonic wings, huge Espeon ears and Dragonair-like swinging tail.
The way she dressed and presented herself made her look at least eighteen, but she was probably no older then fifteen.

"...Hello?"
"Hello, hello!" Mina greeted enthusiastically, grinning toothily at the boy and bowing to him. She was certainly cheerful.
She was about to ask where he thought the professor had disappeared to, but was interrupted by a new voice. A woman's voice.
"Hello, I'm Professor Suzuki. And you two would be?"
Mina clasped her hands in front of her in the traditional fashion she'd seen and bowed so low, that her glasses almost slipped off her face. She smiled sheepishly as she slid them back up her nose.
"Oh!" Mina realised she still needed to do her introduction, and she really wanted to do it before Jeff and set off a brilliant first impression. "I'm Mina, from Tanzanite City. I live with my three, nasty older brothers, who think they're cool but aren't and my lovely, kind papa- he always makes me breakfast and calls me his 'princess'... oh yeah, and there is our garbage bin, Grimer, but he's also become part of the family. Hehehe, that's all about me! I left like, millions of things out, but I'm sure that the boy next to me wants to introduce himself too! Hehehe!"
"So far so good... let them think I'm stupid... please..." She pleaded inwardly, though what she showed to Professor Suzuki and Jeff was a huge, beaming smile.
She had been too occupied in making her first impression to notice the large furry creature until now. Her dark eyes went as big as her glasses and she visibly paled. "What the?!"

The professor continued to smile warmly, but it was almost sure that Mina might have noticed the slight tension on the corner of the women's lips.
"It's a please to meet you, Mina." the women said silkily. She wave a lightly tanned hand at the furry girl still examing the metal box. "Why don't you introduce yourself to Azra? She came in here ealier, eager to start. I'm sure she's just bored."
As if having heard the girl in question turned away from the table containing the box and proceeded to walk towards them. She gave the two new arrivals a quick once-over and placed a furred-covered finger on her canine-like snout.
She said nothing, but gave the Professor a curt nod. It was almost as if Mina and Jeff were meant to be new arrivals for some job and Ayza was the one who had to accept them or something.

Jason looked up at the ceiling and then at the clock. 5:00 AM, it read. He thought about what would happen later on that day. He was going to get his starter Pokemon from Professor Kusaba. He thought about all the starter Pokemon, but he had already knew which one he wanted.
He got up because he couldn't sleep anymore. He thought about going to the lab but it was to early to go so he decided to take a morning swim in the pool. He loved the water and everything about it. He enjoyed swimming alot. He looked as if he was on a swimming team because he was well built and swam alot. Because he loved the water, he enjoyed water type pokemon as well. ever since he was little he had played with wild ones, his parents being very afraid of this, although the wild water pokemon never hurt him and enjoyed playing with him too. After swimming for a while to wake him up so he wouldn't think about sleeping again, he got dressed and ate breakfast with his family.
It was a 'quiet' breakfast because he didn't talk to anyone at all. There was too much on his mind to small talk with his family. So, he ate his breakfast quickly and said his goodbyes to his family. They said to him back, "Good luck and take care!... Remember to call us!" and before he could leave his older brother and sister gave him a big hug and said that if he needed anything that he could always talk to them and they would always be there for him, them being Pokemon trainers themselves and having experienced alot during their own journeys. He was slightly suprised at them because usually, especialy his borther, always teased him and his dreams. He wanted to become a Gym Leader of Water and Ice type Pokemon but they always had teased him and said that he was to whimpy to be one. He would prove them wrong and laugh back at their face, but he felt coomforted by this sudden sign of affection. He too had a somewhat arrogant and conceited personality but this was because his older siblings had the same attitude towards him and he wanted to prove them wrong. He was generally alot nicer than them. He then returned the hug and gave them a strong embrace and left.
He left and was on his way to Professor Kusaba's Lab. When he arrived he let himself in without even knocking because he knew that there was bound to be some trainers that already arrived. He saw that 4 people were already mingling with eachother. One, an extremely nerdy-looking girl, but her clothes suggested that she was someone else. The other, a pale-looking boy standing next to the nerdy looking girl. There was also this very bizarre looking girl that had furry sking and a weird body shape, resembling the body of various Pokemon. Lastly, the Professor, but she didn't look like Professor Kusaba. Instead, this Professor had freckly skin, and grey blue hair.
"Good Morning..." he said simply and sat himself down on a couch.

The blue haired women with grey tinges smiled warmly at the new comer, trying to look welcoming. The fur-faced girl beside her gave the boy a quick glance and proceeded to sturdy her neatly plished claws, her Dragonair-ish tail flowing two to fro behind her.
"I'm so glad you could make it," Professor Suzuki simpered, looking down at Jason from his position on the couch. Either she didn't notice the boy's rudeness or didn't seem to careor mind. "I'm Professor Suzuki. I'd invite you to make yourself comfortble, but you seem to have already done that."
She gave the brown-haired teen a humorous smile.

Listening to what the Professor had just said to him he smiply smirked and said, "Thanks I'm glad i'm here too, Nice to meet you I'm Jason Braodwell." He continued to look around and he couuldn't help but scoff at the nerdy girl that kept giving toothy grins. He was still curious about the furry looking girl. He was wondering where the Professor Kusaba was.
He didn't want to be rude to the other Professor but was still curious as to where Professor Kusaba was. "Excuse me but where is Professor Kusaba?," he asked curiously. "I don't mean to be rude," he added politely.

Before Jeff could introduce himself to Professor Suzuki, Mina, and the girl with the furry skin, another new trainer came in. After the new trainer, who identified himself as Jason, had a small conversation with Professor Suzuki, Jeff decided he'd introduce himself.
"Hi everybody, my name's Jeff Wem.", He smiled a small smile, it was nothing compared to Mina's huge toothy grins. "I don't mean to jump into the conversation or anything, but, I agree with Jason, where is Professor Kusaba?"
He walked over to a chair and sat down, looking at each person in the room, as if staring at them would give him some clue as to what they were like.

"Professor Kusaba is currently away at a business meeting, but he shouldn't be too long. Not that it really matters as we still gotta wait for the other soon-to-be trainers."
She took a quick look towards the door as if half expecting the other five trainers to make their way through the closed entrence. Glancing at her watch, the Professor gave a soft sigh.

Jason gave Jeff a quick glance and kept a straight face and turned back to Professor Suzuki noticing that she had looked at her watch and sighed at it. He could see that she wasn't too happy about something.
He wanted to know about when they could finally pick their starter Pokemon. "Sooo....," he said casually, "How many trainers are supposed to be here and how many starters are there?" he asked the Professor.

The Professor looked up from her watch, a confused expression on her face. "Starters? Oh, right. There's nine of them. Since four of you are here we just need to wait for the other five." She glanced down at her watch again. "If they don't arrive in time, well they're just going to have to pick one of the Pokemon that's left."
She smiled pleasently as she added that Professor Kusaba would be arriving here in ten minutes and that they could feel free to look around.
The fur-faced girl stared eye-to-eye at the girl with the glasses known as Mina. There was a short pause as the tailed mutant seemed to have a thoughtful look before asking, "Starter?"
Prehaps Mina wouldn't understand the morph's one word question.

"Why'd there have to be a thunderstorm now..?"Candle grumbled, clinging onto the black raincoat he was wearing, just to make sure it wouldn't go flying off. The winds were so strong, it left like a tornado was to come and sweep the whole island of Koden off any second now.
Perhaps he was exaggerating again.
The fifteen year old let out a tired sigh and he sat down, leaning against the trunk of a nearby tree, his chesnut brown hair untidy and ruffled. The boy opened the knapsack he had been carrying, pulling out a comb and a mirror. He made haste to neaten his hair, knowing for a fact that it was rather dangerous to be anywhere near trees in a storm like this.
... Too bad there were only trees around.
Candle held a fustrated look on his face as he crossed this thought, he was travelling around in a dense forest in the middle of a freak thunderstorm? "Maybe I shouldn't have come after all..."the trainer blinked his emerald eyes, storing the comb and mirror away as he tugged at his black sleeved shirt to straighten out the wrinkles, beating a hand against the short sleeved, dark blue jacket he wore over the afforementioned article of clothing. Brushing his black pants just to dust off them.
If he was going to spot a Legendary, he had to look descent enough, yes?
Candle yelped as he saw a blinding flash, followed by a thunderous crash of lighting not too far in the distance.
Instinctively, the boy dettached a pokeball from the silver belt he wore around his waist, releasing his Pokemon for protection. A snicker was heard as the red flash which was the form of the creature died down. A grinning Gligar taking its place.
{Wuz' buggin' ya, boss? Scared of the lil' thunderstorm..?}Remius mocked his trainer, flying over and perching at his favorite spot on the boy's shoulder.
Candle hadn't known this mischevious pokemon for long, so he still had trouble understanding it's speech pattern. Though, judging by that grin he held, the boy just knew he was making fun of him.
"I'm not scared! I thought you might be!! See, wasn't I nice enough to bring you out here to accompany me?"the trainer exclaimed loudly, as he continued trekking through the forest, buttoning up his black raincoat for extra measure. The rain didn't look like it was going to let off anytime soon.
{Right....}the Gligar chuckled, nudging his owner lightly, before drawing back his claws, taking to inspecting the amount of greenery around him. Despite the fact that it was only just the morning, the black clouds hanging over them made it feel like night had just fallen.
"Ahh, whichever. Just- just don't leave my side. Wouldn't want you getting scared, would we?"Candle stuttered at the front of his statement, pulling the hood of the raincoat over his head as the pair ventured deeper into the forest.
{Right....}
OOc-
In case anyone was wondering or something, the {} brackets I used were pokemon speech. I just figured that it would've been more interesting than just hearing, "Gli-Gligar~!!"
If this isn't allowed, I'll edit. X3

Mina smiled brightly as the woman replied how pleased she was to meet her. She turned to find this Azra girl and realised that it was the same person? as before. Confused, and in doubt, she inched forwards, that well-practiced smile still in place and bowed at the girl.
She was about to launch into another introduction to 'Azra' but was interrupted.
"Good Morning..." The newest arrival greeted, not making it sound like a good morning at all.
"That one is impatient... he has no tact." She analysed, grinning at him and nodding in return at his 'greeting'.
She turned back to Azra. "I'm Mina, I live with three nasty older brothers, who think they're cool but aren't, and one brilliant Papa! Hehehe!"
"I like swimming, fishing, reading, writing, drawing, eating, sleeping, singing, well- everything! I don't hate anything... except er... Rattata's cause once, when I was little, one grumpy one hyperfanged me till I was screaming in agony!" Mina finished off in agony, and she'd said all this in two breaths flat.
The moody boy introduced himself as Jason Broadwell. She waved at him childishly, but inwardly was thinking of Azra could even hear her... or talk...
"Professor Kusaba is currently away at a business meeting, but he shouldn't be too long. Not that it really matters as we still gotta wait for the other soon-to-be trainers."
Mina looked up, her brow furrowing a little and her mouth curving downwards.
"Maybe they got hyperfanged too..." she said aloud, sadness and worry evident in her tones.
However, Mina thought that the Azra girl was agreeing with her as she looked at her eye to eye. "Starter?"
The first thing she wanted to say was 'You can talk?', but instead- she realised the girl had asked her a question.
"Oh... err, I'd want a Squirtle- they're so cute and adorable with their big, big eyes! And their little mouths and cute little fangs that are hardly ever seen. They also have huge curly tails... but then again, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Torchik and Mudkip are also my favourites! Actually, I like them all really," she laughed, twirling around. She stopped and turned to Azra. "Who d'you want as a starter?"
"She probably shouldn't have a fire type... it might not get along too well with her... err... fur..."

A distant pain-filled screech sounded through the forest where Candle and his Gligar currently were. A flipping of large wings could be heard, followed by the thud of something small hitting wood. Another screech, this time of frustration sounded across the dense growth of trees.
The violent storm of thunder and lightning wasn't helping much with telling Candle or his Gligar the soarce of the sounds, but the screeches most likely belonged to a large bird.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the lab Azra was trying to gain understanding in the black-haired girl's gibberish speech. When the mix morph understood certain words various facial expressions were made. She barred her teeth at the word "nasty", showing of sharp wolf-like fangs and giggled slightly at the girl's "hahaha".
She didn't seem to understand Mina's long list of hobbies, but gave a pained grimace at the word "agony" as if she understood. Azra grinned as Mina mentioned one of the Pokemon, but she couldn't tell if it was Charmander, Bulbasaur or Cyndaquil. Again most of Mina's question when into the girl's furry ear and out the other, but Azra did get the word "starter".
Screwing up her snout in a thoughtful look, she came up with the word, "Kage,".
(OOC: It's pronouced as 'kawh-geh' and not 'cage'.)
Jason sat there listening to the girl ramble on. She had mentioned the starter she wanted, Squirtle, but she also wouldn't mind Bulbasaur and some others. He knew what starter he wanted and he wasn't about to say it in front of everyone. He rather keep it a secret and a suprise for others if they ever battled.
Jason just gave the hyper and talkative girl a straight-faced stare and looked away. He wondered if he intimidated her by doing what he just did. He didn't meant to. It was just him to do such a thing like that.
Jeff just watched as Mina talked on and on, about who she was, what starter she wanted, and what seemed like pretty much anything else that popped into her head. Jeff thought for a minute about what started he wanted, and was relieved when Mina didn't mention it, well as her first choice anyway.
Jeff turned to see Jason giving Mina the same stare he gave him earlier. "He doesn't seem very friendly.", Jeff thought to himself, but he had more important things to think about, Professor Kusaba would be here soon, so Jeff decided he'd get up and see if there was anything worth seeing in the room. The only thing was really the way the others interacted, so Jeff figured he'd just see where things went between them.
The metal box on the table might have been interesting to look at if it wasn't locked tightly shut by a small pad lock on its handle. One would be so disappointed at not being able to examine the silver casing craved with three different symbols next to each other in one line. The first one was a leaf, the second a flame and the third a teardrop. It was pretty much obvious what they meant.
Even if the box was opened no one would have time to look through it, because just as things were about to become boring an older man prehaps in his forties arrived. His messy mob of sandy brown hair fluttered in the outside breeze, but instantly settled when he closed the door. He seemed too preoccupied to notice a bunch of kids hanging around, but blinked in surprise when he finally looked up.
"Oh, hello," he greeted, eyeing them off with green-tingued hazel eyes. "I am Professor Kusaba. I'm terribly sorry for being late, but I had things to sort out."
He glanced around the room worriedly as he only notice four of the nine new trainers.
"Oh, dear. Now who's messing?" Withot waiting for a reply the Professor slid out a sheet of paper from his top shirt pocket and began muttering the names off it. "Scottura, Kiki, Sam, Kona and Ari. Tut, tut! Children, always late."
The guy didn't seem to realise the ironicness of his own comment, being always late himself.
He was eyeing the metal box carefully. He knew what Pokemon he wanted and what type he wanted. He just hoped he would get it.
Noticing that the Professor had just entered he got up and held his hand out towards the Professor for a shake. "Ah Professor Kusaba, you finnaly made it. I'm Jason Broadwell and I'm here to pick up my starter pokemon," he said with a hint of excitement in his tone. He had completly ignored everyone else in the room and wanted to make a good impression towards the Professor.
"Of course, I can wait, because the other trainers aren't here, it will only be fair. If thats your opinion? I don't mind," he stated trying hard not to sound impatient.
The man forced a pleasent smile. "Well, yes. I had gathered that that was to be your main intentions for comming here." He waved a hand at the comfy looking cream counch. "Please take a seat. No doubt you'll be wanting to start. However, before we begin Professor Suzuki would like you all to fill in a little survey for her. It's nothing major."
The women handed each teen a single piece of paper. Written in neat handwriting, prehaps from Suzuki herself was a short list of questions with the spaces left for the answers that would take up most of the paper's room.
1.Out of Grass, Fire and Water which is your favourite type?
2.Apart from each other, name at least one weakness and one advantage each of these three types have.
3.If you saw a badly injured Pokemon lying on the ground still alive, but unable to move, what would you do?
4.In full evolution what is the smallest and largest of the starters?
5.Name the last move each starter learns on their basic form.
6.Write the name of every starter's Japanese name, including their evolutions.
7.What is Professor Suzuki's favourite starter?
8.If you did happen to catch one of the legendaries, what do you plan to do with it? Please also add which legend it would be.
9.Do you have a certain second starter choice if your first option is taken?
10.In their full form name what kind of animal you think each starter may have come from.
The questions seemed rather easier then what was expected.
Scott burst through the labratory's doors and headed to the place where the starter pokemon were going to be given out. "I hope I'm not late. I knew I shouldn't of threw my alarm at my brother. Scott thought to himself as he sped up, hopeing he wasn't too late.
Scott burst through the labs door's and saw the professor and a trainer standing near some pokeballs. "S-sorry I'm late proffessor, I slept in..." He shouted as he walked towards the two. As Scott was almost there, he tripped over his own feet from both, embarrassment and tiredness.
Candle winced at the sound of a screech piercing the air, rather than yelp like before. Finally getting used to these sudden sounds, his composed side taking over as Remius immediately clinged onto him.
{E-Eh!! Boss, wha' wuz' that?!}the Gligar shivered, minding his claws from damaging his trainer's raincoat, last thing he wanted to do was poison his owner. The rain had already soaked him enough as it was, but, that was precisely what he loved about it.
Being wet!
The prospect of fear instantly vanished, replaced by a soft giggle as the Flying type held out a claw to feel the rain. Candle of the otherhand, was tilting his head from side to side, trying to make heads or tails on where that disturbing screech had come from. It sounded like that of a bird, but that was all he could make out of it.
By the volume of the cry, a big one.
Could it have been one of the Legendary Birds?
The boy managed a smile at this conclusion, brightening up for the first time since he had stepped foot on this island. He would've even jumped up and down with joy.. if not for the fact that he was searching for another Legendary. It wasn't a bird he was looking for, as the tale his grandfather told him long ago flashed past his mind for a brief moment.
"It's probably not the one I'm looking for..."he told himself, ignoring the Gligar clambering all over him just to see which part of the human was where the most raindrops were felt.
"-I'd better go and check it out."the boy failed to realise that this had contradicted his earlier statement, charging off in the direction he 'thought' the sound had resounded from, Remius grabbing tightly onto his head so as to not fall off anytime soon.
But, then again, Candle was always the type who'd make up unexplainable logic-leaps.
Professor Suzuki glanced at Jason's answers and seemed pleased with them.
"Not bad. I'll just add in your score." She grabbed her pen from her pocket and a small notepad. Counting up the number of correct answers she wrote the results besides Jason's name on the notepad. "Eleven correct answers. That's quite good."
Whatever was supposed to happen next was interupted by the door opening and slamming shut for the forth or fith time this day. A lightly tanned boy with messy spiky black hair made his way towards the table, but fell forward onto his front. At the same time saying "S-sorry I'm late proffessor, I slept in..." before falling flat on his face. Professor Suzuki couldn't help, but crack just the tiniest hint of a smile, hoping that no one would notice.
Professor Kusaba sighed as he glanced somewhere else around te room Anywhere, but on the boy. "Ah, yes. Scott. I'm glad that you've finally made it and you're just in time." The brown-haired man waved his hand at the pile of papers on the table. "Please take one and when you're done, hand it over to Professor Suzuki.
Another screech echoed through the forest as Candle stumbled though the vegetation. As he got to a part of the forest where there were fewer trees he came across the biggest Grass Pokemon that ever lived. A Tropius.
The Tropius was bending, swerving and blocking each direct blow from the large caramel brown and light tan-cream bird with his huge head and neck. The avian gave another screech of frustration as she swooped over the huge tree-like sauropod, careful to not get cut by the creature's sharp leaves.
The Pidgeot tried again to slash at Tropius thick branch-like neck, prehaps hoping to decaptitate the creature. However, a qick dodge saved the Mokèlé-mbèmbé type creature from a possible beheading. Not that Pidgeot's wings were possibly capable of doing so, but you never know.
Jason listening to Professor Suzuki and looking at her going over his survey, was pretty confident of his survey and was glad that he was the first one done with it. "It wasn't that hard, but it was very long," he said to her trying to strike up a conversation. He was anxious to see what he had got.
"Eleven Correct Ansers. That's quite good."
He was curious as to what 'quite good meant.' "...and thats out of how many?," he asked cuiously. But before he could get an answer, another trainer had just burst into the room, panting and looked like he was out of breath. He had tripped on his own and fell flat on his face. As he got up, his was red due to the hard impact of the floor.
"S-sorry I'm late proffessor, I slept in...," the new arrival said still breathing heavily. Jason couldn't help but smirk at this kid. 'Only the beginning of the day and hes already having a bad day,' he thought to himself as he smirked.
Nishi had her hood up and was walking on a path, the storm had lightened on the island. She sighed pulled her hood down reaveling her meduim blue hair that was very short and messy. She smilled a little, reaching for her three pokeballs letting out her closest friends. "Ember...Eva how are you two holding up?" she walked over and took out a potion and began to mend Eva first. Sure, the evee was the highest level out of all of them, but she was the most injured. She had fought a trainer a ways back, he was asking for it. The random guy ended up having a houndoom, so evee was no more than a warm up. Her vulpix, ember, put up a small fight but her absol luna had finished the fight.
Once they were mended she saw her male vulipx draging his tail. Luna the absol nuged nishi and tilted her head to the vulpix. Luna then laid under a tree by Eva. 'I swear...luna is more like a mother than a pokemon...' she walked a few yards over to the vulpix.
He looked up at her with watery eyes. She scooped him up in her arms "Ember, dont be so hard on your self...." he looked away. She loved her pokemon dearly, and wished she could afford a fire stone, her vulpix wanted to be a nintails so bad...
"Hey, if it makes you feel better, he gave luna a hard time, and absols are really rare...." she scratched his back. She saw the small brown evee and the much larger absol walking up.
Nishi pulled Ember close to her chest and the evee jumped on her shoulder. Her pokemon were pretty silent, they had never been noisy. The newest member was luna, many people were stunned she caught it with a evee and vulpix, but she really talked it into somming more than beat it...
"You did great, im so proud of you...your going to be a great ninetails, your the best vulpix ever Ember, your great and you know it...." The evee made a squeek and noded licking the vulpixs ear lightly.
She had a hand on lunas sythe, it flet leathery and warm. Suddenly it hardened, i sighn she was tense. Luna's head shot up and she stood erect facing the path ahead. She looked back
Come on.
Nishi blinked. Luna's mouth didnt move but...? Ah, she was just tired. She felt Ember move to her shouler and Eva got in her hood. She started walking and Luna started to jog, so Nishi did the same to keep up, running down the path on the strange island. 'Where are we going?' she thought to herself, but put all of her trust in luna.
Rika sat down next to the open stretch of beach. The warm air relaxed her for the time being. She reached into her bag and released her Venonat, Vee. She started to touch Vee's soft fur as it made a happy buzzing noise. She sighed and with her free hand, she started to pick up the sand; the rough grains smoothed her hand while she started to pile the sand into a crude sand castle. She looked up and saw the ocean water silently creeping on the sand.
Rika stood up and ran down to the shoreline, giggling. She stepped onto the muddy sand and when the water would come up, she ran back to the dry sand. Vee stood behind her, wondering what her master was doing. Behind the pokemon, leaves started to rustle and the sound of screeching Pokemon could be heard. Rika paid no attention to Vee's observation and continued her little game.
Vee knew how to get Rika's attention. Vee eyes began to glow and bright flashes of light started to disperse into the surrounding environment. A distracted Rika ran over to Vee and that is when she noticed the rustling and screeches.
"Come on, Vee!!" yelled the little girl, "we can't let whatever is over there run away!" Rika grabbed Vee and huddled her in her arms as the girl ran into the bush. Air glided through her hair as she continued to run. She didn't notice the tree branch underneath and tripped, losing her grasp of Vee who flew off and landed in front of her. Rika screamed quietly to exert some pain. She heard the screech again and got up, dusted her outfit and grabbed Vee to chase the noise again.
Candle let out a sigh of relief as he noted the decreasing amount of vegetation, if anything, things were starting to look up.
If you didn't count the humongous Tropius and Pigeot swooping through the air in an intense battle, right infront of his eyes. The boy took a moment to get over the shock, stiffling a whimper, hugging his Gligar close to him as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
This must've been either of their territory... Something or the other. "Maybe they got into a fight over who had the nicer wings..."the boy slapped himself on the head for even thinking of anything of the sort. Now wasn't the time for him to define logic, was it?
{Y'know, boss'. If we leave quietly, dey' might not notice us, y'know?}Remius hissed into his owner's ear, hanging onto him with equal shock and fear.
Candle merely showed his agreement by a simple nod, slowly backing away from the battlefield. If only he had eyes behind his head, if he did, he would've seen the giant tree root sticking out from the ground.
Too bad he didn't.
"GAH~!!!!!"Candle landed on the ground with a sickening thud, his Gligar in a dazed stance.
"Rem!! Please don't faint!!!!"the boy cried out in distress, shaking the Flying type, oblivious to the fact that the action would make him more noticable than ever.
Professor Suzuki looked up a sheet of paper she had pulled from her top coat pocket. 'Yes, I'd much rather make long questions then hard ones." Despite the interruption and the fact that Jason may not be listening Professor Suzuki answered the short question anyway. "It's kinda hard to explain, but believe me, your score is good."
Prehaps running in an unknown area was a bad thing to do. Especially when this part of the forest was owned by an extremely torritorial beast of tooth and claw. Due to his huge form and thick almost steel-like scales covering his body, he was king of the jungle. Or at least that's what he claimed himself to be. A self-title, really.
His deep blue eyes watched the blue-haired girl dash her way through the forest with three canine-like beasts. The "Rex" was savely hidden between the trees and overgrowth of bushes and other various plants. However, his purple scales, while protecting him from harmful direct blows, did nothing for his camouflage against the greens and browns of the forest. In fact, such a great creature wasn't even naturally a forest dweller.
As Nishi stormed past his hiding place, the beast snouted loudly and made his decision. With an uneartly roar that was loud enough to shake the ground, the purple bipedal rabbit-like beast charged forward towards Nishi. He ignored her Pokemon, the could do nothing to him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Pidgeot took no notice of the boy, prehaps not even realising that her screech brought a male and female to his territory. He had other important things to worry about.
However, their battle was forcefully put to a halt as both fighters caught the noise made by Candle. The avian snapped her head this way and that in confusion before her sharp sight caught the intruders. Their "grounded" prosition gave her the upperhand, but she still raised her feathers threatentingly as she gave a soft caw-her warning.
The Tropius pawed the ground nervously, his tail laying almost motionless on the leafy earth. He saw the human as no threat as he had no natural weapons, but the bird above him was a different matter all together.
No one nothing Rika emerge into the scene.

Mina thanked the professor as she was given her sheet and gasped audibly as she saw the questions.
1.Out of Grass, Fire and Water which is your favourite type?
She really didn't know- she loved all, but... she did have a certain tendency to love Water pokemon for their magesticity... but then again- Fire pokemon were always...
She circled them all. She had no favourites... but put a tick next to Water.
2.Apart from each other, name at least one weakness and one advantage each of these three types have.
Grass: It's strong against Rock type pokemon. Weak against Flight or flying pokemon as well as bugs.
Fire: Obviously the weak birds and bugs are weak. Er, the Rock are it's weakness.
Water: Electric types weakness. Rock types advantageous.
3.If you saw a badly injured Pokemon lying on the ground still alive, but unable to move, what would you do?
She gasped... wondering what kind of question was this. Should she lie or say the truth? Would she really give it company? "What if the pokemon's mother was coming for it. I would not want to separate it..."
I'll try to treat and make it conscious to the best of my knowledge. Then I'll wait to see if it is safe. If it isn't, then I'll err.... probably call an expert but if I know it myself then I'll treat it further at my home with a paralyz heal- because that would be the most common ailment if it was unable to move.
4.In full evolution what is the smallest and largest of the starters?
She looked uncertain- they all were massive compared to her and even though she'd done her dramatist a good impression, she didn't know them much. Well... Blaziken looked more humanoid... but it could be tall as opposed to being wide.
She just randomly put in Typhlosion for the tallest and Venasaur for the shortest as it appeared to be closer to the ground as the most.
5.Name the last move each starter learns on their basic form.
Oho! She remembered this.
Bulbasaur - Sleep Powder
Charmander - Metal Claw
Squirtle - Rapid Spin
Chikorita - Poison powder
Cyndaquil - Ember
Totodile - Water Gun
Treecko - Quick Attack
Torchic - Ember
Mudkip - Mudshot
6.Write the name of every starter's Japanese name, including their evolutions.
Chikorita sounded Japanese so it was already Japanese... probably all the others were too!
Everyone has their original name. ^^
She sighed, wishing she'd payed attention to her father when he was teaching her these but decided to skip this question.
7.What is Professor Suzuki's favourite starter?
She looked annoyed by this question but hid it. "It must be something random... like... hey wait! Her appearance is that of water..."
Squirtle or Totodile
8.If you did happen to catch one of the legendaries, what do you plan to do with it? Please also add which legend it would be.
I'd catch them all make them play blindman's bluff with me-- my brother's, ever since they hit puberty, are postively allergic to me-- so I think if the birds were playing then it would be fun. (She put a little smiley face for good measure, too).
9.Do you have a certain second starter choice if your first option is taken?
Well, I love them all so I don't mind. Hehehe!
10.In their full form name what kind of animal you think each starter may have come from.
Venausaur- Seed, like a herbivore dinosaur type thing. But it might not be herbivore because of those weird fangs coming out of it's mouth.
Charizard: Huge lizard-like creature with bat properties and two horns. Almost a very fat bat...
Blastoise: Big turtle, like, really big.
Typhlosion: Ferret type-thing - with explosive power
Feraligatr: Big crocodile- with a toga.
Meganium: Geranium turned into a dinosaur because it wanted to talk to it's friends. (Megami Goddesses pokemon)
Blaziken: Avian qualities. Fire bird/human type thing.
Swampert: Mudskipper... but a bit bigger- almost cute.
Sceptile: Gecko which likes tea. Not very cute.
Finally pleased with her answers, she handed it in. She hadn't revealed too much at all and didn't really want anyone, not even the professors, to know what she was doing.
"Not cheating, I've already handed mine in!" She beamed at Azra and the others, grinning like the fool she was pretending to be.

Nishi heard a sound and turned. Somthing was running straight for her. She tossed Ember and Eva out of harms way and braced herself.
'What the heck is this thing' she though jumping a step over to the side. She fell back and landed with a thud. She heard three growls veryingin depth. Evas fur was on end and her fangs were bared. Luna's sythe was glowing brightly ready for attack and Ember...
The vulpix had a insane look in his eye. To her surprise his growl was the deepest.
{Go away...} the vuplix said his eyes glowing slightly
[Leave Nishi alone!} The evees tail was swishing back and forth, hair standing up
/Dont get in our way\ The absol lowered its head and pawed at the ground
Nishi felt her jaw drop. She had never heard her pokemon speak, but now...she could understand them. She stood up. Whatever this thing was, the four of them wouldnt back down. Nishi stood up straight.

Even though he was distracted by the sudden entrance of the clumsy trainer, he had still heard what Professor Suzuki had just said after turning abruptly to face her. Jason felt confident and sat back down on the couch. He crossed his arm waitng intently. He was becoming impatient and he wanted to pick out his starter already. He was hoping that he would get the one he wanted.
He noticed the other trainers handing in their surveys as well and waited for the Porfessor's next instructions as well. He then eyed the box again, and looked at the three symbols. The leaf indicating Grass, the flame repesenting Fire, and the droplet symbolizing Water. He looked around to see if either one of the Profesors were going to say something.

Professor Suzuki gave Mina's work a quick glance, adding up the girl's score and then jotting them done on her notepad. She smiled and grabbed Jeff's sheet, leaving the dark haired girl with no answer to her test result.
Azra blinked at the "grinning fool". Her face screwed up in an attempt to understand what was going on. The test paper clutched loosely in her grip and she didn't give it a second glance. Her only responce to Mina was to point at the first question and say "Fire".
None of the Professors said anything else. Suzuki added up the test results and Kusaba merely hummed a tune to himself. Occasionally he glanced at his wristwatch and muttered softly "It's almost time."

The powerful beast skidded to a stop, eyeing off the girl and her team of hounds. Snorting, he swung his thick tail from side to side and tossed his horned head. Such pittiful creatures couldn't damage his scales. No, the mighty Nido didn't have "king" in his name for being weak. He'll prove to these trespassers just what about one-hundred-and-thirty pounds can do.
With another ferocious roar, the beast charge a second time towards Nishi as the girl got to her feet.

OOC: I didn't want Ari to be late for this meeting, so let's assume she's already there...
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ari didn't really care which starter she got, though she got a real preference for Chikorita, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. Before Professor Suzuki handed out the papers, Ari just sat in a trance similar to meditation, ready to let her soul rest with fate and meet any decision that came to her. Let the pencil do the work...
"I barely saw you come in," Suzuki said as she handed Ari a survey. "Your name is..."
"Ari. Ari Monokai," Ari answered with not so much excitement but plenty of determination and confidence. Within seconds, Suzuki went to the others, and Ari looked at her survey...
1.Out of Grass, Fire and Water which is your favourite type?
I will have to say Grass, Ari thought as she circled Grass. But next to Fire she wrote "A close second."
2.Apart from each other, name at least one weakness and one advantage each of these three types have.
Heh, easy, Ari thought.
"Grass: Weak against Flying, Poison, Ice, Bug, and Dragon. Strong against Rock, Electric, and Ground."
"Fire: Weak against Rock, Ground, and Dragon. Strong against Ice, Bug, and Steel."
"Water: Weak against Electric, and Dragon. Strong against Ground, Ice, Rock, and Steel."
3.If you saw a badly injured Pokemon lying on the ground still alive, but unable to move, what would you do?
Ari took some time to imagine an injured Skitty in the road. She picked up the Skitty and hugged it gently.
"Take it to a Pokemon Center, then care for it till it's ready to go back to the wild. If it wants to stay with me, I'll let it do that."
4.In full evolution what is the smallest and largest of the starters?
Ari imagined the starters standing next to each other.
Venusaur is definitely big. It's bigger than Charizard and Blastoise, but is Feraligatr bigger? OK, Blaziken is small, smaller than Meganium, but is Typhlosion smaller?
Ari took an educated guess.
"Typhlosion is the smallest, and Venusaur is the largest."
5.Name the last move each starter learns on their basic form.
Ari never really paid any attention to what levels Pokemon learned their attacks at--she just knew a few moves each Pokemon could learn. Ari had to guess based on the characteristics of the moves and the Pokemon:
I suppose they mean the attack they learn at the latest level.
"Bulbasaur: Solarbeam
Charmander: Fire Blast
Squirtle: Hydro Pump
Chikorita: Aromatherapy
Cyndaquil: Double-Edge
Totodile: Hydro Pump
Treecko: Slash?
Torchic: Flamethrower
Mudkip: Earthquake?"
6.Write the name of every starter's Japanese name, including their evolutions.
Ohh, this is easy. I'm from Japan, so of course I know.
"Bulbasaur: Fushigidane
Ivysaur: Fushigisou
Venusaur: Fushigibana
Charmander: Hitokage
Charmeleon: Rizaado
Charizard: Rizaadon
Squirtle: Zenigame
Wartortle: Kameeru
Blastoise: Kamekkusu
Chikorita: Chikoriita
Bayleef: Beiriifu
Meganium: Meganiumu
Cyndaquil: Hinoarashi
Quilava: Magumarashi
Typhlosion: Bakufuun
Totodile: Waninoko
Croconaw: Arigeitsu
Feraligatr: Oodairu
Treecko: Kimori
Grovyle: Juputoru
Sceptile: Jukain
Torchic: Achamo
Combusken: Wakashamo
Blaziken: Bashaamo
Mudkip: Mizugorou
Marshtomp: Numakuroo
Swampert: Raguraaji"
She wrote these names in Japanese originally*, but she provided romanizations in parentheses.
7.What is Professor Suzuki's favourite starter?
Ari closed her eyes and meditated for a moment--very quickly. Then, she guessed.
"Chikorita."
8.If you did happen to catch one of the legendaries, what do you plan to do with it? Please also add which legend it would be.
Now that's odd, what does she care?
"I would treat it just like any other Pokemon, who cares how rare it is? I like Regice by the way."
9.Do you have a certain second starter choice if your first option is taken?
Duh.
"My first choice is Chikorita, but I also like Bulbasaur and Charmander."
10.In their full form name what kind of animal you think each starter may have come from.
One by one, Ari pictured the Pokemon in her mind...
"Bulbasaur: A cross between two dinosaurs: a brontosaurus and a triceratops.
Ivysaur: Same as Bulbasaur
Venusaur: Same as Bulbasaur
Charmander: A lizard of course
Charmeleon: Same as Charmander
Charizard: A dragon
Squirtle: A turtle of course, specifically a Coin Turtle
Wartortle: Same as Squirtle
Blastoise: Same as Squirtle; Blastoise is not a tortoise because tortoises live on the ground
Chikorita: A brontosaurus.
Bayleef: Same as Chikorita
Meganium: Same as Chikorita
Cyndaquil: A guinea pig
Quilava: Same as Cyndaquil
Typhlosion: Same as Cyndaquil
Totodile: A crocodile
Croconaw: Same as Totodile
Feraligatr: Still a crocodile. Alligators' teeth can't be seen when they close their mouths, and Feraligatr's can.
Treecko: A tree frog
Grovyle: Same as Treecko
Sceptile: Same as Treecko
Torchic: A chick
Combusken: A chicken
Blaziken: A humanoid chicken
Mudkip: A mud fish and an otter
Marshtomp: Same as Mudkip
Swampert: Same as Mudkip"
Ari was the first one to finish this, so she got up abruptly and gave the survey to Professor Suzuki.
Candle didn't need to know the two Flying types long for him to understand what they were trying to tell him. He nodded hastily, flinging his Gligar over one shoulder as he stayed in a crouching position, slowly backing away from their battlefield.
Once he was managed to get within ample distance between himself and them, he leaned against the trunk of a tree, breathing in and out, one hand on his chest. He dared himself to look over his shoulder, a few feet away, he could still see the Pigeot and the Tropius. If he heard from agitated cries coming his way, he'd be ready to bolt off. For now, he had to check whether Remius was still alive and well.
Candle poked the bat-like pokemon's purple chest with one finger, receiving no reaction whatsoever. Remius just lay in his arms, eyes closed.
The boy's lower lip quivered, as he tried this action no more, obtaining the same fruitless attempt. He gave the Gligar a better inspection of his body, only to realise that, he had gone from being fainted, to falling asleep.
Candle sweatdropped, unclipping the pokemon's pokeball from his belt and withdrawing him without any more thoughts. Instead, producing another red and white sphere in his hand, a moment later, in a flash of red light a bird materialised beside him.
The Pigeotto cocked her head, before raising it up, cawing brightly.
{Hello, Candle, darling! What's up? Anything for me to do? You know you should have something for me to do. Unless, why'd you call me out, unless, you just wanted to call me out for no reason. Heck, I'll except that!}she paused, taking another deep breath, starting to open her mouth once more, only to have it snapped shut by her trainer's hand.
"Muse, you've got to learn to keep that trap of yours shut,"the boy mumbled, letting the bird, obviously named Muse, climb onto his shoulder. Just like the Gligar before her, Candle still had yet to master her speech pattern, barely making out what she was trying to say.
"Rem's sleeping now. Looks like you're going to have to protect me. Got it?"he told the Pigeotto, receiving a fast nod as a reply.
"First thing's first. We get away from this battle-thing as fast as possible."the boy, looked over his shoulder, noticing a small figure in the fray. He squinted his eyes, nudging Muse before pointing to the figure.
{Tis' a young girl, darling~!}the bird sang out, her eyesight being the best of the pokemon Candle owned.
"Reaaaally now...?"Candle raised an eyebrow, finding his feet rooting themselves onto the ground.
Vee started to struggle in Rika's arm. Rika looked down on Vee and asked, "What's wrong?" Vee didn't seem to reply with a clear answer. Rika sighed and said, "We lost whatever that thing was..." Suddenly, a gust of wind blew Rika's hair. "Huh?" she asked softly, wondering where the source of force came from. Another gust came which made Rika look up to see two air-bound Pokemon fighting. Rika held Vee tighter with her right arm while her left was fashioned over her forehead to keep any dust from her eyes.
"This isn't good Vee..." whispered the young girl. The Venonat made a sound to agree with its trainer. The two massive Pokemon continued their heated fight paying no attention to the young girl staring at them. The trees started to shake and the Tropius unleased a wave of sharp little leaves to damage its foe, while Pigeot returned the favor by using Mirror Move. Swarms of little green leaves swung in the air in a rage of war. The throng of little leaves was flown back and forth between the two giants.
Unfortunately, the wave of leaves started to spread and slash anything in its way with its razor sharp edges. Rika, caught in the crossfire, paniced and ducked while Vee squirmed to get out of Rika's grip. Vee's eyes started to illluminate in a multitude of colors and in a flash, the leaves stood in mid-air. Rika grabbed Vee and ran away from the huge beasts in their fray.
Rika hugged Vee. "Thanks... for... not... panicing..." said the girl as she caught her breath from the rush, "I think we are safe... for now..."
Sorrica trudged through the deep, slippery snow beneath her feet, whilst more snow kept falling on her head. She had bowed her head, and put one of her arms up to protect her face. The other arm had a hold of Spyro, her Quilava, which was the only thing preventing her from freezing to death.
‘Trust me to get caught in a blizzard’, Sorrica said in a muffled voice. She tried to get Tank, her Anorith, to dig a shelter they could stay in while the blizzard passed, but Tank was getting too wet, so he just decided to go back inside his Pokeball, leaving Sorrica cursing in the snow. So then Spyro let himself out, lit his flames and jumped into Sorrica’s arms, keeping close to share his heat.
It was a risky move, as Spyro had recently earned himself his first battle scar in a fight against a wild Fearow. It had swooped down and extended its sharp, rear talon, which connected with Spyro’s eye. Spyro was still in a lot of pain, but he still refused to leave Sorrica.
{I still think we’ve been walking in circles for ages.} Spyro said as he looked up at his trainer.
‘We have not!’ Sorrica argued. Each was as stubborn as the other, which was pretty stubborn. ‘We’re just walking through an endless, snow-covered field with an endless blizzard going on, alright! If we were walking in circles we would have seen out tracks by now!’
{Nuh-uh! The blizzard would have covered them up!} Sorrica sighed. Spyro was right. They had no idea where they were going.
She sighed again, and said ‘I wish this stupid storm would just stop so we could see where we're going!’
Candle raised an eyebrow, watching what the girl and her Venonat were doing from the 'safety' of the huge tree, one arm against the trunk, the other clasping his chin as he observed the girl.
He had no choice but to close his eyes, as the little bug pokemon she held in her arms released a flurry of bright light. The boy regained his sight, nodding approvingly, seemingly impressed as he spotted trainer and pokemon running away from the battlefield.
{Ooh~! Darling, can we go and say 'hello'? Please!! Please!! I reeeally wanna go and say 'Hello'! I really do! I shall go, yes? Let's go!!}the Pigeotto on his shoulder seemed to be the only one talking, as she retracted her claws from the boy's fabric of clothing, swooping towards the place where she saw the girl and her funny Venonat escaping to.
"Gahh... Muse!!!"Candle slapped himself on the face, jogging after his pokemon, who had now taken to singing to herself.
Not long thereafter, a big smile crept onto the bird's face, as she spotted the girl hugging her Venonat.
{HELLO!!! Funny girl and funny Venonat~!!!}Muse couldn't resist but squeal loudly, waving one wing in the air to catch their attention, sweeping here and there just to make sure they could see her. Behind her, a panting boy was trying his best to catch up to his Pigeotto.
OCC: Sorry, Ninetales, but there's no "stepping back" in time. Ari handed her form right after Jeff did
IC:
Professor Suzuki did the same to Ari's form as she did to the others. Counted the number of correct answers and then added the total to her notepad. She seemed rather pleased with the black-haired girl's result.
"Very good, you four. There's just five more to go and then you all get to choose your Pokemon." There was a short pause. "Unless the other trainers don't arrive in the next ten minutes then they miss out on on their chance of being first."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Tropius watched in interest as the chestnut-haired teen slowly stepped back, gripping his trusty Gligar and flipping the scorpian-tailed creature over his shoulder, causing the avian to screech a warning.
The Pidgeot had long sinced landed on the ground, talons dugged into the earth and the larger Flying type forgotten. The feathered fiend brushed her beak against the dirt, prehaps searching for worms.
The sound of a Pokemon being withdrawn into a sphere caught the bird's attention. Her head snapped up and golden eyes focused on the large tree almost direct to her path. Granted she had seen the human make his way near the tree, but she ad considered him to still be an unfamilar threat.
The sound of a small female bird's caw caused the larger bird to spread her wings and screeched a loud cry. Guess she wasn't too happy about the arrival of another avian, Pidgeots being incredibly territorial. The sudden cry startled the sauropod Grass type and he reared up like a horse, bellowing.
Prehaps the boy hadn't heard the screech, but as he chatted with his own bird the larger raptor was slowly making her way towards them with leaf-crushing talonfalls. Occasionally she'd **** her head to one side, her focused on nothing other then her target.
But at that moment the Pidgeotto had decided toleave her current place and make her way to a new area flight-style without even noticing the possible dangers. The Pidgeot gave a startled caw at the smaller raptor's sudden appearence, which turned to a cry of anger as she took flight once again.
The Pidgeotto had already reached her destination, so the Pidgeot focused her talons on another target. With a loud screech she dived at the boy, talons out and ready to either grip or strike.

Snorting, the Nidoking reared up onto his legs and sturdied the blue-haired girl and her Pokemon. He was most certainly unimpressed at what she had, this battle would be worthless to him.
"King," the puple giant rabbit-beast muttered, his crimson eyes flickered in doubt.
Well, he might as well rid these vemons out of his territory. With another battlecry the Nidoking tore foward, ths time towards the Absol. Before the Disaster Pokemon could react, she was hit by the beast and violently flung into the air, inwhich she landed hard on the earth.
Her fate was unknown to the beast, but if Nishi risked a quick look she'd notice her Dark canine trying to slowly struggle to her feet, crimson orbs focusing on her target.
The Vulpix's Confuse Ray had not effect on the Nidoking. Heck, se couldn't even use it. His level was too low to know such a technique. However, judging by his level and healthy system, it wouldn't take him long to learn.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A loud caw sounded as the girl and her Quilava trampled through the snow. Up ahead, the owner of the bird-like cry stared at them from the safer of a snow-covered rock, just big enough to held his weight. The bird was a two-tone of red and white, his fluffish tail curried over his shoulder like a sack.
The Delibird was about to make his way towards the girl, but changed his mind when he noticed the Fire type on her head. "Del?"
She was scared now, this thing was strong... she thought hard.
[GO AWAY!] it growled pacing in a circle. A panting Ember stood at her side tired but still not giving up.
She reached on her belt, pokeballs ready. If this got ugly, she would have no choice but to try to run....
{Go away...?}Muse held a wing to her beak, a hurtful expression on her face. It was as if little tears would start rolling down her feathered cheeks any minute. But, given the sudden interruption by the loud caw of the Pigeot, the smaller bird had no choice but to turn away, letting out a shrill cry as she noted what the other avian was targetting.
{Ohmiiigod!!!! Candle, darling!!!}Muse let out a high pitched screech, beating back her wings for a brief moment, before charging at the much larger bird. Slamming into it with all the might she had in herself to muster.
The Pigeotto's trainer on the other hand, took this oppuntunity to run towards the girl and her Venonat, quickly positioning himself behind her. As he flinched at the sight of pitting his own, frail Pigeotto. Against.. that big, mean, territorial beast that claimed itself to be a Pigeot. One hand instinctively found it's way to yet another pokeball on his belt. This one being the final and last pokemon he had yet to release.
"If we manage to live through this dark, dark, bleak moment. The name's Candle."his voice was strong, though it held a tinge of fear, as he tried his best to put on a brave front for the girl. Not that he had any intention of protecting her. Now, the new age had dawned, it should've been the girls who protected the boys.
Yes..
{No one hurts my darling Candle!! No one, you big, brute!! You mean, mean poopie head!!}Muse closed her eyes as she scolded her evolutionary form, hardly caring that if they had gotten into a battle. Chances were slim that she would be the one who would emerge victorious.
'Geez,' Sorrica moaned, 'what kind of Pokemon would live out here?'
{Articuno.} Spyro replied.
'Besides that. And don't even think about mentioning Regice, because it doesn't count either.' Then they heard a caw from nearby. Sorrica lifted her face from the safety of her arm, and saw a Delibird perched on a rock... which was part of a cave!
'Finally! Some shelter!' Sorrica began to trudge towards the cave, all the while keeping her eyes on the Delibird, which just warely eyed her back. Sorrica only moved slowly, desperately hoping that the cave wasn't the Delibird's nest.
The Delibird ruffled its feathers, as if uncomfortable for some odd reason or another. Sorrica then stood still and watched it, to see if it would make a move. It would not take its eyes off Spyro.
{I don't think he likes me...} Spyro said warily.
The Nidoking snorted, crimson eyes glaring from foe to foe. His intentions were clear: destroy the targets. His thoughts were almost robotic, programmed. As the beast stood there swinging his thick tail and focusing unblinkingly at his victims, his mind drifted to the blessing of the huge reward his master would give him for another job well done.
Lowering his horn, his head drifted from side to side as if trying to decide if he should pierce her left eye or her right eye. Maybe he should drill a huge hole in her skull or prehaps he should "kabob" the girl's only means of protection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Pidgeot shook her head from the hard blow, forgetting her prey instantly and instead sighting her focus on the smaller bird. Her caw was one of amusement as Muse spatted a few choiced words out of her beak. However, the Mach 2 bird wasn't much in the mood for chit-chat.
With two flaps of her wings she created a gusty windstorm as if to show Muse her aerial capabilities. A mixture of dust and dirt was collected in the wind, almost blinding the smaller avian. She was being challenged for an aerial fight. A fight that she'd most likely loose against the bigger and more experienced raptor.

Muse released another surprised screech, her wings covering her face as she was blinded by the sand attack the Pigeot had unleashed upon her. Coughing, the Pigeotto was far from wanting to give up. Her eyes were closed, due to the fact of the accuracy damaging attack, but.. there was one attack she could always try.
Candle thought the same thing as well, a small grin on his face as he shouted out a command to his Pokemon. "C'mon, Muse! Aerial Ace!!"
The bird obliged, stiffening her body for a brief moment, holding her beak into the air. Using her nose to stiff and feel the air currents. Then, she lashed out at an incredible speed, blinking her eyes, hoping that the action would help her regain her sight. For now, she had to rely on this weak- But very much accurate attack. It was the only hope they had.
{You poopie head! I'll beat you!! I will beat you!}Muse's cry was full of spirit and gusto, as she slammed into the Pigeot another time. Hopefully, this time increasing the damage dealt.
"Well..? What're you standing over there for? Don't tell me that big bird got your pokemon already.."Candle's hands were on his hips, scolding Rika for not taking any action, noting the tired Venonat in the girl's arms, before looking up to the battle again.

Sorrica carefully sat Spyro down, who ran for cover in the cave near the Delibird. Sorrica had only just, once again, realised how cold it was without Spyro to keep her warm. So she quickly picked up the sphere and ran for the cave.
As she ran into the cave she slipped on a bit of snow and skidded on the rock-hard floor of the cave, almost crashing into Spyro, who quickly moved out of the way. 'Oww... rough landing.' Sorrica groaned. She sat up, rubbing her head, then she noticed that the sphere wasn't broken.
{What do you think it is?'} Spyro asked again.
'I don't know.' Sorrica answered, all the while never taking her eyes off the sphere. She then heard the caw of the Delibird again, who was standing at the entrance of the cave.

Maybe the professor's favourite pokemon is my fave? Scott thought then he wrote down; Charmander
8.If you did happen to catch one of the legendaries, what do you plan to do with it? Please also add which legend it would be.
'I wouldn't care if it was a legendary or not, it would be treated equally like all my other pokemon. I would like a Rayquaza however, they are so cool!' "I think I went a little overboard with that question," Scott thought to himself.
9.Do you have a certain second starter choice if your first option is taken?

Rika watched as the Pidgeot ruthlessly unleashed its attack on Pidgeotto. She raised her hand while holding onto her Venonat to avoid getting sand in her eyes; concerned, Rika looked down at her Venonat who was resting peacefully in the midst of the fight. She held onto Vee with her free hand tighter hoping not to lose grip of her Pokemon in the furious wind. She then remembered Candle beside her, struggling to fend of the flying foe. She looked over to see if he was okay.
Suddenly, Rika let out a whimper and shutted her eyes. Sand had gotten into them; Rika reacted by carefully laying Vee beside her so she can Rest, then she rubbed her eyes with both hands, hopefully getting them out. In her blind state, she vowed to damage the Pigeot in anyway she can, but first, Vee had to wake up from her Rest. Candle needed to stall, just until Vee was up and ready. She tried to cry out to Candle but the sonic boom of wind was louder then her, and consquently, Rika was only able to yell a few words that Candle could hear. Even so, she wasn't sure if he even heard her.

*looks at the Pigeot and Muse's stats*
Muse= So pwned unless Vee helps/Candle's third pokemon appears/both. XDDD

Candle blinked, his arms over his face as the Pigeot decided to call upon another ferocious Sand-attack. His eyes darted from Muse to the girl to her sleeping Venonat, retreating back a few steps so that he stood beside the female. It seemed like she wanted to tell him something,
"What?!"he asked the girl, anything but a happy expression on his face as he turned back to his Pigeotto.
{Wahh!! You poopie head!!}the bird had gotten accustomed to referring to her evolutionary form in that manner, her eyes watering as more sand was flung at her. Muse was never one to give up, and she wasn't planning to lose to this meanie anytime soon!
"Muse! Use Aerial Ace again! Follow up using Sand-attack against it! See how it likes that!"the boy commanded his Pokemon from afar, shifting closer to the girl. If the Pigeot was going to try anymore stunts with him being the victim, he would jump behind her.
Yes, well, that was a good plan. He wondered whether the girl would like it though.
The Pigeotto squawked to show her understanding, once again repeating the same routine, colliding with the larger bird's chest with all her might. But, despite her efforts, it was well seen that Muse was losing her stamina. Huffing, the bird followed up with landing onto the forest floor. Doing it the old fashioned way by digging her talons beneath some earth, before snatching them up swiftly, sending the pile of dirt and sand towards the Pigeot.
She hoped.

((I'm sorry, I didn't know what it was, and a glowing sphere kinda fitted the description of a Present attack, so I just assumed that was what it was.))

Nishi looked into its eyes. Why was it attacking them? If it was just because they stepped into its territory, running would work. If not, then it would get them into more trouble. Luna could barely stand, Eva would be crushed and Ember was hurt even though he wasnt acting like it. She thought hard. She couldnt let her pokemon get hurt. It wasnt right, if one of them died....she could never forgive herself.
She swallowed hard, without blinking. "Return." she said holding the balls up, as she put them into her pockets, she looked into its eyes.Then, she ran the fastest she had ever ran in her life.

The female Proffesor nodded as she took the sheet Scott handed her and added his score to her notepad. At the same time adding in Azra's. Beside her Professor Kusaba glanced at his watch and then at the soon-to-be-trainers that had already made it and signed. He might as well get it over with.
As Suzuki handed him the notepad he walked up to already opened small metal box on the coffee table and rubbed a finger against the Pokeball whose usually red colouring was replaced wth a shining blue-green. This ball was on the 'Water' section, indicating that it contained a Water type Pokemon, but gave no clues as to which one.
Professor Kusaba held up the notepad so that everyone could see it, but they could note see the small writting from that far. "I have with me the results of six of you and I'm quiet impressed with the results."
"I based the results of the scores on correct answers and how certain questions were replied." Professor Suzuki piped up. "I noticed that no one got my favourite Pokemon right, but never mind."
The male Professor coughed for attention before continuing on. "We're just gonna get this over and done with since we're way behind time anyway. Anyone else who arrives here late will just have to deal with what's left. Now when I call your name I want you to pick out a starter. Don't worry about not knowing which Pokemon is in which ball. Professor Suzuiki will tell you. Jeff, you're first."

The Delibrid fought his Pyrophobia and fluttered towards Sorrica and her Quilava with a soft caw. He puffed out his chest with great importance and held a wing out as if wanting something.
"Deli!" the Ice avian cawed impatiently. He glanced pointedly at the icy blue sphere and thrusted his wing again, almost shoving Sorrica back.

The Pidgeot screeched in a mixture of pain and anger as the Sand-Attack once again failed to do its job. Nor was she too happy when she felt the blinding sand enter her eyes and make it difficult for her to fly.
Eyes stinging the avian locked eyes with the Pidgeotto and noted with satisfaction that the bird still seemed to be resting on the ground after lauching her own Sand-Attack. Pidgeot were known for their faster-then-light speed and their powerful wing and chest muscles. And this Pidgeot wasn't about to show them that she was still an unevolved Pidgey only capable of throwing sand and flying away.
With each forward thrust of her powerful wings, she sent a gusty windstorm at Muse's direction, hoping that the smaller bird would be blown away. While there was very few things to grip on the forest floor there was a nearby falling tree and it would prove useful if Muse could fight the powerful Windstorm and get to that tree.

The Nidoking snorted as he decided whether or not to chase the girl down, but then decided against it. The were no use for cowards other then to torment them. He'll have his well-deserved fun with the girl and her Pokemon later on, but right now his mate was calling for him.

Jeff looked up, surprised that he was chosen to pick first. He pondered wether or not it meant anything, perhaps he had the best test grade? He snapped out of his train of thought, realizing he was making the others wait. Jeff walked passed Professor Suzuki and over to Professor Kusaba and the box of Pokéballs.
He studied the box for a moment, there were three columns, each with three Pokéballs in them. Each column had a different colored top half of the ball, it was either blue, green, or the regular red. Jeff figured out which column contained what type of Pokémon rather quickly, but he had no idea which contained the Pokémon that he wanted.
His hand darted over to the "Green" column and it hovered there fo a few seconds, "Thankfully I'm not going to be flying blind,", Jeff thought to himself, "Professr Suzuki's going to tell me which Pokémon I've selected, so, I guess I'll just pick up one of the balls and see if it's who I want."
Jeff's hand just stayed over the three green-topped balls for a few seconds, moving from one to the next, he looked up at Professor Kusaba, who was just staring down at him. After a few more moves of his hand, Jeff finally chose one of the green balls and pick it up.
He looked over at Professor Suzuki, "Which Pokémon is inside this Pokéball?", he asked, rather unsure that he'd picked the right one.

OOC: I wish I knew when all thr trainers got to pick their Pokemon... Oh well, since I can't RP Ari yet, I'll RP my new character. I'm kinda confused as to what's going on on the island, so for now Gon'll just be by himself--unless you count his Beautifly that is.
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Should we continue on?" Gon and Tomirei were resting near a lake in the middle of the forest, en route to a meadow someone said was full of interesting sights and Pokemon.
"Byuu." The Beautifly sitting on a rock next to Gon nodded and flew off the rock. Gon stood up as well, and he walked past Tomirei and back into the trees. Tomirei started to fly overhead, hoping he wouldn't be attacked by Spearow or something.
"Uh... Tomirei?" Gon called from below.
"Byuuti..." Tomirei rolled his eyes as if he forgot to do something, which in fact he did. Remembering at once, he shot some string out of his mouth towards Gon--the string caught on his arm. Gon then gave him a thumbs-up. This way, the two would not be separated. Anyways, Gon didn't seem too worried about where he was going--he just let his intuition guide him. And there wasn't anything really interesting in the forest--just some trees was all, no interesting berries, no Pokemon, no nothing. Still, Gon continued on without complaining of boredom, Tomirei not too far overhead.
All of a sudden, Gon's back felt oddly itchy...
<"Gon, you're a fairy!"> Tomirei noted the wings now sprouting out of the place where Gon's back itched.
"I'm a what?" Gon was startled. He also started to grow antennae, his eyes became bigger and protruded from his head, he grew extra legs from his body, and he himself started to shrink a little. A few moments later he had become a Venomoth.
<"What is this?"> Gon asked himself. <"What kind of Pokemon is around here?"> Gon often transformed into Venomoth when he was near a Pokemon that was weak against one or more of his elements. So whatever Pokemon was near him now could be Grass, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Psychic, or Bug-type. Since he was in a forest, Gon guessed it was a Grass or Bug Pokemon. But still Gon didn't know, so he flew around, looking for whatever Pokemon caused this transformation.
Soon Gon found it: an odd tan spot in the trees. From the looks of things it could have been... a Mankey? Vigoroth? No, not Vigoroth... Maybe Nuzleaf? Whateever it was, the Pokemon suddenly... disappeared.
<"What in the world..."> Gon muttered in Venomoth language.
"Abraa..." The voice behind him startled him---Gon spun around and saw an Abra standing there!
Standing? Gon thought. I thought Abra slept most of the time...
<"Uh... Hello Abra,"> Gon said to the Abra. <"What are you doing here?">
<"What's up?"> Tomirei had just arrived and was surprised to see the Abra as well.
"Ab..." Abra teleported again.
<"Ohh... now what?"> Gon groaned. But then something else startled the two bugs...
"Kadabra!" A Kadabra appeared in the Abra's place!
<"Fight me,"> the Kadabra demanded. <"I haven't had this kind of company in ages.">
Gon and Tomirei looked at each other.
<"I'll fight him,"> Gon offered.
<"But you're weak against psychic attacks... let me do it,"> Tomirei worried.
<"But I have psychic attacks as well, so I can counter him,"> Gon added. I hope they're strong enough though.
<"Bring it on,"> Gon said to the Kadabra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: I hope that was allowed, morphing Gon into a Venomoth and having him battle a wild Kadabra...

Muse let out a baffled cry as she was blown back by another powerful beat of the Pigeot's wings. She refused to admit it, but the weak smile on her face seemed to signature that of one who was impressed. How she wanted to evolve into something as strong as that.
"Muse! Grab onto that fallen tree!"Candle fought over the loud wind, pointing to the trunk that was directly behind his pokemon. The bird nodded, but it was always easier said than done, not to mention the fact that her vision didn't seem like it was going to improve any time soon.
She extended a taloned leg to grab onto the branch as she flew past, it barely scraped itself against the tree and for a moment[darn that sand attack], the avian thought that it was all going to be over. "Where's your right leg?!"Candle hollered, wondering why his Pigeotto was spacing out, it was a known fact that most would use two firm legs- Instead of one flimsy one. That order immediately snapped Muse out of the sheer dizziness she was experiancing, closing her eyes as she planted both her feet firmly onto the bark.
"Try your best to beat back with a Gust attack!"the trainer commanded loudly, he was sure that chances of it over powering the Pigeot were as thin as a piece of thread but it was better than nothing. At most, she'd be able to harm the enemy a tad more.
{Yes'siree!}Muse squawked awkwardly in this position, but she had to say something to assure both Candle and herself. That done, she mustered her strength to produce a gail of her own, eyes shut as she beat her wings as fast as she could, hoping that she was aiming the wind in the right direction.
If not, there was always a last resort. The blonde unclipped a final pokeball from his belt, gripping tightly onto it so as to prevent any chances of a breeze snatching it away from him.
