I dont see why. The only goodd thing about WOb is his HP. Its stats arent that great. Is it because his Specail attack or Attack doesnt come into play??? That its only way to do damage is to send attacks back with double the power.???

Because its defenses are horrible. Its speed doesnt matter.

I truthfully don't get that idea.

Pokemon like Blastoise and Swampert can also learn Counter and Mirror Coat.

I think the main reason Wobbuffet is a Uber is because its HP. It can learn both Counter and Mirror Coat and its HP tops the 500s.

Wobbuffet is totally uber for one main reason: SHADOW TAG

Any Pokemon can switch out to an appropriate counter if they find a Pokemon with both Counter and Mirror Coat. But Wobby prevents that. You may think that all you have to do to get around this is not attack Wobby directly, but use moves like Leech Seed and Toxic. But it gets Encore. This move screws you over because it allows your opponent 2 to 5 free turns to set up.

For instance, lets say Wobb traps your Blaziken and you decide to use Swords Dance, because after you max out your attack, you should be able to kill it in one hit. But Wobb uses Encore, forcing you to repeat Swords Dance. Then your opponent switches to a Belly Drumming Charizard. Since you are stuck doing Swords Dance, Charizard can Sub, Belly Drum, and sweep the rest of your team. Even if you switch out, your opponent still gets a free turn to do whatever he wants.

I can't believe I forgot about Shadow Tag, especially with Encore. You're right, its definately a Uber. :)

That's true. Roar can also work well to Phaze Wobbuffet so you can switch out to something like Gengar that can resist Counter or something like that. Wobbuffet is able to be stopped.

but gengars best attribute is his spec attack. then they can just switch back out and wobbuffet will use mirror coat. or if you decide to pick at him with one of gengars physical attacks they can just encore and destiny bond just before they die.

so if anything wobbuffet is a damage sponge/ "kick you in the teeth w/ counter" pokemon.

and if worst comes to worst he a suicide bomber. im gonna raise a wobbuffet now.

But wobbuffet is probably the cheapest and stupidest idea for a pokemon ever. I hate it with all my heart and even when used in ubers it angers me=[
Use wobbuffet if u like to get yelled at and if you dont.. In ubers onli.
And it is a waist of a slot in ubers as well imo...

Its not that hard to outstall Wobbuffet. You could also use Dark or Ghost-type moves. Wobbuffet isn't impossible to counter these days. The last time I checked in NetBattle there were Pokemon called Phazers. You also get to know if you opponent has a Uber or Ubers in his/her party or not. Its not very fun facing Ubers.

If you have ubers on ur team as well... then ubers is extremely fun. IMO its the most fun version to play.

Its seems today that NetBattle noobs seem to use Ubers more than anyone else. Take that battle log Doom Hammer posted about how his Alakazam KO'd a noob's whole team of Ubers.

Lol. I know. Alakazam used Calm Mind like 4 times and KO'd everything. It was really sad.

The point is that even Ubers have their weak points. Tauntrados can school Wobbuffet. There are many other things as well.

the main reason Wobbuffet is considered 0ber, is his encore -> counter/mirrorcoat combo, thats quite tricky.

i agree that n00bs use ubers. and when you beat one (even a whole team of them) its no big deal. after all there just n00bs.

im going to presume that everyone here is a hardcore netbattle veteran. and even so i'll say this, ubers have thier weaknesses. but in the hands of one of us (assumeing thier are no n00bs here) those weaknesses are well defended or even dissapear completely.

so lets not pretend we're above ubers.
