my vast knowledge of netbattle has blinded me.

I wen to the pokemon 10th anniversary tourament and it was nothing like netbattle. i knew the rules where different so i went in there ready spam all the illeagal stuff in netbattle. i was using skarmbliss, SKARMBLISS! with uber movesets and i was desamated. everyone was using ubers. in my first battle i faught a gut who had a mewtwo, ho oh, latios, latias, and two kyogres. TWO kyogres!!

just a friendly reminder, pokemon exists outside todays metagame.

deos anyone here use Mcicegar? show me the moveset and EV pls?

That is probably because you went to the JAA where ubers are aloud and so are hax items. Very unlike netbattle I know but is alot like the Uber metagame (2on2 though).
Anyways, this is McIceGar to all its glory. (I hope you meant EVs when u said IVs)

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** BoO
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 44 HP / 196 Atk / 216 Spd / 52 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Ice Punch
- Thunderbolt

Now you can go with less speed. (~301-330) but i like that speed to beat alot of thingies... That is the suggested attack to 2hko lax and blissey iirc. And Boltbeam means that the onli thing u can't hit is shedinja...(Fpunch for maggy/lanturn)

That is one of the reasons i just ordered FireRed. That gengar,<belly drum> charizard, misdreavus<i need pain split>, raikou, suicine, aerodactyl <for my t/s/s>, nidos, and mewtwo although i'll probably never use it - it's just pretty to look at. That gengar is so hot my face just melted. A sub-punch-bolt-beam that's not 4x weak to ice.:rambo:

I hope you meant EVs because there should always be 31 IVs in each stat unless Hidden Power limits it.

I don't use Ubers because they're not fun to me at all. Lugia is the coolest Uber in my opinion and when they add Pokemon like Ho-oh and Mewtwo to their team then it becomes just too cheap. NetBattle noobs often use Ubers and it makes them think they can beat everything. I faced a noob with the six best Ubers you could probably find and I OHKO'd everything with DDrados after 4 Dragon dances. It was sad.

They key word u used it noob... Who lets gyrados DD 4 times anyway... Ubers are perfectly fine in uber metagame and JAA. And that is what we were talking about...

i meant EV. now i feel noobish. my pride hurts.

i use ubers when playin w/ friends never on netbattle.

but ubers are fun to use, its nice to have so much power at your command, like kyogre. hes even above boltbeam, he has "thunderbeam". that even sounds powerful.

Nothing wrong with ubers taking on other ubers. Fair is fair after all. I like Groudon-themed teams especially, since he's a bit more of a team player.

while i do like groudon id much rather have kyogre. but probably just because hes more helpfull in doubles. which is what my friends and i always play.

Lolling at gerudodragons post after looking at toothaches... Groudon is more helpful in double battles

Ubers are cheap alltogether, unless like Toothache said, you're battling other Ubers. But in the hand of a noob, they are actually useless.

They key word u used it noob... Who lets gyrados DD 4 times anyway...

lol, who lets Alakazam CM 6 times? And in the meantime shoots him with solarbeam from a Deoxys (the one with the defenses)...

Also, it's rather hard to use a team made around Kyogre. Groudon is much better, and he doesn't get KOed by the thunder that hits 100% because of Kyogre's own Drizzle.

I beat a n00b a long time ago using a Kangaskhan's Dizzy punch, I swept through 3 Ubers! Lol

doubles are won by versatility of attacks. thats why i love kyogre. and thats also why i love follow me.

groudon is good but... if you follow me and let some crappy pokemon get sac-ed then kyogre can use a stabbed surf (while raining) and hit both foes. now even though you could use a flyer/levitater beside groudon and get a stabbed earthquake, it gets no bonus from the sun. and even his high Atk cant make up for the rain bonus.

maybe you like groudon becasue he supports the team and with kyogre the team supports him.
