Okay I just caught a skarmory and i was hoping to make it a Tank/Annoyer type of pokemon.
And these are my suggestions:

Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Serious

My suggested move set:
Toxic
Spikes
Fly
Steel Wing

This the the moves I want it to have but I guess fly and steel wing may not be good but I really need help with having a good moveset. i put toxic because it has a higher chance of hitting then poison power, as a matter of fact it has the same accuracy as thunder, blizzard, fire blast. I put spikes because since it will be my first poke to go out, i will pull out a spike to hurt my opponents pokemons when they are switching out.

Overall since it can take physical hits it can really pull of the job i want it to do.

This moveset is pretty bad...

Standard is...
Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Atk / 192 Def / 20 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Rest
- Roar
- Spikes

This is the best set as Skarm is the best physical wall so you need rest. Toxic over spikes for ingame as they dont switch in game... Rest is pretty important. Toxic shuffle (Toxic+Roar+Toxic+Roar)works ingame...

Skarmory is next to useless ingame in general. There are better walls there. Try getting one with Impish Nature

Regirock is much better in-game in my opinion.

I guess it depends how your friends battle then. :\

Most likely it wont matter anyways :\

Go with the standard they gave you

if i were you i'dd make it perfect for friend,s because the ingame trainers aren't that strong you know..., you can get them down easily with attacking only, in stead of toxicing, spiking, etc. it is a nice move set, but i'dd replace fly with drill peck(egg move, breed with dodrio) and choose roar over spikes.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about... Roar+Spikes is a combo only for battling competitively (with ppl not AI) and the move that skarm must have is rest imo... Unless you are Subbing but thats a different story

SubSkarmory is fun. :)

Anyway , Flamman this in-game. Phazers aren't really necessary and besides the fact that Skarmory stinks in-game. I hope Pokekilla7 realizes that soon. :\

I heard that if you use spikes three times when the oponent switches it causes a lot of damage that is why i am going to do it like this. Skarmory spikes+roar Spikes+roar about three times then i continue to use roar until skarmory is whiped out or if i finish my oponents pokemons

3 sets of spikes takes out 25% of a pokemons health if it isnt flying or has levitate, only 3 sets of spikes can cause any serious damage so throw skarm out against a phsyical sweeper and set them down, if it has been stat uping, roar first. easy strategy

Yeah i mostly have skarmory on all of my teams but I never thought of a move set like this. I use to make skarmory a sweeper type but it wasnt that powerful.
