Do you hate the creaky boards in the stairs...?

Say you wake up in the middle of the night, and you walk down the hall so that you can smoothly escape from your girl/boyfriends house without anyone knowing, do you hate it when that one board on the last stair creaks that lets everyone know that you are there....? the one that tells everyone, "SOMEONES UP AND DOING SOMETHING THEY SHOULDN'T!"

I hate that! My house isn't exactly young, it's about 50 years old and every floor seems to creak. My floor creaks like crazy in certain areas and the hall to the bathroom, that floor creams all the time without fail. I heard from some home improvement show that it had to do with a loose nail or something.
And the only stairs I have in my house are the ones that go to the basement, yet I live in a two-story. My room's on the first floor though

yeap!!!whenever I wanna go out somewhere(or should I say sneak out?..)I gotta jump the stair pieces 2-5,then the 7-10 ones..luckly I know how to land from a jump quietly...then I'm creak free....(gotta memorize 'em,ya know....)but the hallways(we got two)have sertain creak spots,but change randomly for some reason,so I can't memorize them...so,yea! :laugh:

Yeah when ever I go up or down the stairs the stairs creak all the time and its hard to avoid it happening.

I hate that! XD The hall to the bathroom that's closest to me creaks about 2-3 times when you pass over it, and I have to pass right by someone's bed, so I'm always afraid that I'll wake 'em up if I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. XD

There aren't "boards" in my house that I know of! So I don't have to deal with it. XD
But I don't mind it. o.o; I actually think it's fun to make floors creak! XD

The first two stairs of my main-to-second-floor stairs creak. And then the last four do, too, but only if you step on them a certain way. The corridor from the upstairs hall to my room creaks depending on how quickly you walk across it.

Why, yes, I do have to sneak upstairs to bed very late all the time. How'd you guess?

<_< Yeah, I know all the house's little nuances now, since I have to be really quiet when I attempt to go to bed at three in the morning while everyone's sleeping. So I know when, where, how, and why everything creaks. And thus I know how to avoid it, mostly. However, that doesn't mean I don't hate it. It'd be so much nicer if everything was all nice and quiet so I could just go to bed however I want. XD;

I really do hate stair cases that creak, it's like, once in the middle of the night I went downstairs to get a drink as quietly as possible, When I came up one of the stairs creaked really loudly and my parents thought a burlger was in the house ;;

It makes me scared and i like jump and run through the whole house before i even sleep! ><
