Yes, I do have a job. I work a Full Time Cashier in a grocery store(it is called H-E-B). Been working there for seven years(and it is still going). They put me on Full Time January of this year. My schedule isn't fixed...it changes all the time. But I always will get two days off, but it is different.

Sadly, I've never had a job. I baby-sit for my mom's friends sometimes and I do chores around my house but that's it. I hope to get a job soon.

Does modding count? *shot* XD

No, I don't have a job as of yet. I could've done summer hire, but I was lazy and didn't pick up the forums. Yes, laziness strikes again! XD
I guess the closest thing to it is chores. I have to do them Sunday-Thursday. :x

EDIT: Oh, and working for the office at school, but that wasn't a job. XD

I work at a grocery store, but I'm not a cashier. I'm a bagger. Which means that I also have to clean up messes, go outside in all kinds of whether to collect the grocery carriages, and ask for six hours a day, "Would you like paper or plastic?" Been there for over a year now, so it isn't all bad.

I've heard of stores like Acme that have multiple people running the till, which I believe is more efficient, but the cublicle's too small and there's not enough staff on the ready to do that where I work. Usually we have separate baggers if traffic becomes tight, and many of them invariably want paper and plastic bags hybridised so there's no need to ask.

I'm planning to be a video game programmer. I love art, and you have to draw all the movements. That will be great! If I don't get to be one, an art teacher.

Where I work, the bosses try to have as many baggers as there are cashiers. But, most of the baggers don't want to work, so they just stand around. There's maybe...four of us out of fifty that actually work on our shifts. Very rarely do we have someone who can be both cashier and/or bagger as needed. So it's not like we're under-staffed, just over-lazy.

Customers at my place of work change their mind with every visit. They want plastic only one time, paper the next, both the next time... Or else they decide that they don't want an item as soon as they get to the register, so there are a lot of returns.

Ah well, it's just a job to hold me over until I move. Then I'm going to be a professional editor...

I just keep telling myself that at least I get money...

I worked last summer as a member of the Maintenance Crew on a local golf course. For the love of God, stay away from that job. There's nothing good about being up at four to get yelled at by an anal-retentive jerk about not mowing straight lines. Currently, I'm working temp construction, helping to assemble a Home Depot. That is, if they ever organize the gorram project properly.

Whoa...this same thing like that is happening at my store. But sometimes the bosses schedule enough cashiers, but not enough baggers/carryouts. So while I scan everything and tender...I also bag thier groceries. It gets hard because the customer get a lot of stuff, and I can't crush anything. And I have to make sure nothing gets caught in the belt. Now everyone works hard, there are only a few who goof off.

Customers usually will tell the bagger they want paper. The bagger don't need to ask the customer paper or plastic. Most of the time they will take plastic.

And another thing there are so many customers changing their mind about a item every single day! And when that happens like there are about ten baskets full of returns. So the boss schedule someone just to do returns. It is that bad.

But anyway...I love what I do. I just think about every Thursday when I get paid. XD

I worked for a while during the summer two years ago as a theater assistant manager and tech support, hulling props to change the scenes, etc. Then last year, I worked at Starbucks, which was quite a regret for me... XD

Then this year... I'm not working... I feel like concentrating for the fall's SATs and getting my permit up to a liscence... >>

Yes, I do currently have a job. I've been working at Big Y, a grocery store in the southern-New England area, since October. I'm a cashier, like most people. It's not a bad job once you get used to dealing with the annoying customers. And they pay is a lot better than my first job~

My first job being a flower-potter. <<; My sophomore year, I worked at a plant nursery. And anyone who knew me back then knows how much I hated that job. I would whine about it pretty much every day. XD In the winter-spring, we'd be in the potting bench putting our hands in the freezing cold dirt. And there was only one tiny propane heater in the entire bench. Even with gloves your hands would go completely numb. And my clothes would get completely covered in dirt. Ugh.
In the summer, I was always stuck outside alone to either weed the fields or take baby plants and put them into cups. Keep in mind, I sunburn really easily. So being out in the direct sunlight is not good for me.
The fall wasn't too too bad because I knew in just a few short months I'd never have to go back there. <3

Mm... I worked 1 day at Arby's, then I quit. I was getting yelled at because I wasn't taking orders... when there already were people doing that. Plus it was my first day so I didn't even know how. And nobody bothered to teach me very well. So I quit. But now I'm applying at gaming stores. After High School, I'm going to Hawaii State University and majoring in meteorology, then becoming a meteorologist/storm chaser. ^^ fun!
