Harmony of the Trios

There are three trios in the world: The legendary Bird trio (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres), the legendary Dog trio (Suicune, Entei, Raikou) and the legendary Regi trio (Regirock, Regice, Registeel). The trios do not mix well together. One day, five thousand years ago, a great storm erupted, and the homes of the legendary birds were destroyed by lightning. Since Raikou is the only other out of the trios who can control thunder he got the blame, and thus a great war erupted between the Birds and the Dogs.

During the war they destroyed many Pokemon’s homes, including the homes of the Regi trio. Because they were also angered they joined in the war. The rest of the legendary Pokemon saw this and decided to take some serious action. Mewtwo, Groudon, Kyogre and Deoxys came out to forcefully calm the triads down, but only angered them further. So it became a two-sided war between the trios and the group of four Pokemon, which came to be known as the Resistors. Mew, Celebi, Latios, Latias and Jirachi, being peaceful and kind-hearted Pokemon, decided to take priority in protecting the innocent Pokemon and began teleporting them out of danger’s hands. They became the Peacekeepers.

Finally the Watchers of the trios, Lugia (Watcher of the Bird trio), Ho-Oh (Watcher of the Dog trio) and Rayquaza (Watcher of the Regi trio) used their combined powers to recreate the trios’ homes. With the homes they also created nine orbs, three red, three yellow and three blue. The power of the orbs calmed the trios, opening their eyes and showing them what they had done. The trios returned to their new homes where the orbs kept their peace. The rest of the legendary Pokemon worked to return the innocent Pokemon to their homes and then disappeared.

In the present day some scientists working for a mysterious, yet powerful, trainer are researching the orbs, searching for their hidden places. If any one of the orbs is removed, the whole trio it is entrusted in will become enraged and begin battling the others again, thus luring out the rest of the legendary Pokemon to once again set the peace. The trainer wants to use this knowledge to lure them out in the open so he can capture them. He also wants the orbs to sell at a valuable price to make money.

However, the orbs were created to also be entrusted with nine chosen Pokemon trainers in an emergency. These nine chosen trainers, plus twelve others, are also to protect and assist the legendary Pokemon.

You play as one of the chosen trainers. You must prevent the mysterious trainer from obtaining the orbs, corrupting the balance and capturing the legendaries. If anything does go wrong, you must assist the legendaries in restoring the peace and protecting them from the mysterious trainer. You must have at least one Pokemon that is of similar type to the one you are associated with (ie. Lugia – you must have either a flying type or a psychic type, you can have both if you wish, the rest of the Pokemon can be whatever type, you are allowed to have a whole team of the same type). You may only protect one Pokemon. If you are protecting a Pokemon in one of the trios you must also take care of the orb it is matched with. Some trainers will be aware of the task they have been set to from the beginning, others will not and will find out a bit later in the story.

Name: Kitsune Sorrika (Prefers being called Kitt)

Gender: Girl

Description: She's approximately 5'5'' and weighs 98 pounds. Her straight hair reaches half-way down her back and is a light blonde colour. Her eyes are a hazel colour. She usually wears a yellowy-orange hooded jumper, a vermillion red shirt, cream coloured jeans and white, dirty runners. She has a red backpack which holds her supplies.

Hometown: New Bark Town (Johto)

Personality: Kitt is a very kind and caring girl who is very difficult to upset. She sets her mind on her goals and does not give up on them easily. Her greatest values in her life are her friends, her family and her Pokemon. If any of them are in danger she will do anything to help them out. She is a very loyal companion to have. When she is angry she can be very violent, but it is very rare for anyone to see this trait in her.

Pokemon:

Flare (Typhlosion) – Male – Flare was Kitt’s first Pokemon as a Cyndaquil. He is tough and has a versatile move set. All this aside, he is very cheeky. He cares very deeply for Kitt.

Lightning (Electrike) – Male – Lightning is friendly and playful. He is a Pokemon that has refused evolution to the next stage. He is also lightning fast.

Altar (Larvitar) – Male – Altar is kind, but stubborn. He does not give up in battle easily. He does, however, struggle performing moves such as Hidden Power and Hyper Beam.

Digger (Anorith) – Male – Digger is a really friendly Pokemon that takes almost nothing seriously. He trips over his own feet while scuttling along a lot. He does not like water, despite the fact that he knows Water Gun.

Balos (Absol) – Male – Absol is a very serious Pokemon with a lone wolf nature. He is usually looking out for Kitt’s smaller Pokemon from a distance. He is very clever.

Psi (Abra) – Male – Psi is a very lazy Pokemon. He spends most of his time, including in battles, sleeping. In his sleep, if he's not conscious of his own actions, he can accidentally throw the other Pokemon around the room/field. It is usually Digger.

Legendary: Lugia (Watcher of the Bird trio)

History: Kitt’s father died of a heart problem when she was young. Ever since then it was just Kitt, her mother and older brother, Yoshi. Kitt spent most of her childhood with her brother and their two best friends, Dani and Jackson. Kitt was very lonely after the three of them left on their journeys, so Professor Elm gave her a Cyndaquil to keep her company. It was the same Cyndaquil she began her journey with a year later.

Family: Yoshi – Yoshi is Kitt’s older brother. He is 16 years old, and he began his journey at the age of 13. He shares the same traits that Kitt has: loyal, caring and kind. He is a stronger trainer than Kitt, and looks after her whenever they’re together. But the two siblings often spend their time traveling alone.

Knowledge: Kitt knows only of the existence of the legendary Pokemon, but nothing about their associations with each other. She does not know of the great war that occurred five thousand years ago, therefore she has absolutely no idea that she has been chosen to assist the legendaries with the other chosen trainers.

Other: As caring as Kitt can be, she is also shy and has difficulty opening up to new people. She can make friends with new people, it’s just learning to trust them enough to be able to tell them anything that is difficult for her. This has only been ever since she told a person the whereabouts of a Shiny Magby that she was friends with. Kitt hasn’t seen the Magby since then.

RPG Sample
‘Meganium, use Light Screen!’ Jackson cried. Meganium lowered its head and created a strong wall of light as the two Flamethrowers approached it, harmlessly bouncing against it. Jackson smiled, feeling an early victory as now he had Light Screen and Reflect going, as well as a Feraligatr on his side to help combat the two Typhlosion. Kitt began to panic, and did what she always did in a tough situation.

She turned to Yoshi and said ‘What do we do now, big brother?’ She then gasped and turned to the Feraligatr as Dani shouted 'Wani-Wani, use Hydro Pump!' The Feraligatr released a powerful Hydro Pump from its jaws. Both Typhlosion just managed to get out of the way. Normally they would retaliate, but they couldn’t because Feraligatr was protected by Meganium.

Yoshi just chuckled and whispered ‘You attract Feraligatr’s attention. I’ll deal with Meganium.’ Kitt had no idea what he was planning, but just nodded and turned back to the battle. Feraligatr was still firing Hydro Pumps at the Typhlosion, but not scoring any hits.

‘Flare, use Double Team around Meganium and Feraligatr!’ Kitt commanded. One of the Typhlosion darted towards Feraligatr, and just before getting hit by a Hydro Pump began making copies of itself, surrounding Meganium and Feraligatr. The two Pokemon looked around in confusion, unable to identify the real Typhlosion.

Yoshi called out ‘Typhlosion, use Brick Break!’ The other Typhlosion ran through the ring of copies, then raised its fist and shattered the barriers, connecting with Meganium and knocking him out against a tree. Yoshi turned to Kitt and said ‘Finish it.’

Kitt smiled and shouted ‘Flare, use Flame Wheel!’ As the Typhlosion that used Double Team circled Feraligatr it encased itself in a ball of fire, which ran a ring around Feraligatr, and soon trapped him in a dome of fire. The Feraligatr cried out in pain, then at the last minute the Typhlosion stopped running around the Typhlosion and launched itself straight at it, knocking it out.

I had been beaten by a trainer and his powerful Dragonite, I had almost got him beat and then he used a hyper beam.

Good thing that my grandmother had been Sabrina or I might not have gotten the job for a gym leader in Kanto, saffron City. But before I can go to saffron I have to go to cinnabar island for the boat to Fusicha then the train to Saffron. Right now I was on a boat going to cinnabar, it wouldnt be long now, I;m just getting to my room.

As soon as I got to my room we hit dock, I grabbed my stuff and got off the boat, I would need a place to rest for the night. I walked through all the tourist around the area and kept passing houses, wasnt there a hotel somewhere? I stopped at a certain house, there was a teen on the roof with a wartutle. I levitated up to him and asked, " do you know of any hotel's around here?" ( from Pokemon 2)

Description: Slender and limber, she can be very sneaky and athletic. She has long, dark brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. She is usually seen wearing her favorite hat on backwards, just to keep her hair out of her face. Sometimes she wears sunglasses over her hazel eyes. She wears a red t-shirt, black pants, and sneakers. She's not to much into 'fads' or fashion.

Personality:She is quiet rebelious and cares not what others think. She is fun-loving and tries to be kind to others. She is sometimes serious, and when serious she is not very trusting and sometimes tries to stay alone. When she is mad or upset she takes it out on no one, unless it is fact that the sorce of her anger or rage is produced by that person. Her trust is hard to obtain, but once obtained, she is a fiercely loyal friend. She often puts other's lives before her own and tries to make others smile even when she connot smile herself.

Legendary: Jirachi: Peacekeeper of Desires
History:Her parents died in a mysterious fire when she was very small. She has lived by herself for most of her life. Every couple that took her in push her out after a week. She hadn't the faintest idea why. Moonlight, her favorite Pokemon, was givin to her the day before her parent's death. And after the fire, in the rubble she found a black whistle and a flute. She wears the whistle around her neck, on a thread, and keep the flute in her bag.

Family: All deceased.

Knowledge: She knew that there were such Pokemon as Legendarys, but she had never met one face to face. All she knew were their names and types, and nothing more.

Other: Erin is deathly afraid of clowns, and she enjoys throwing a punch or two at any clown who annoys her. Otherwise she stays clear of them all together. She has a bit of a sweet tooth and is often random and weird. She often believes random objects are evil, such as clowns. This encludes ducks and cupcakes. But she also believes that Muffins are all powerful and absolutly awesome. She often freaks people out, even if she is acting like herself.

RPG Sample:
Venix ran swiftly through the thick forest of trees. Dodging these trees made great practice for battle when another is attempting an attack on her. Graceful were she steps as she troted about the forest floor.

She came to a stop and inspected her surroundings. A light breeze blew past her, her brown and black fur flow in it. The sent of another Pack nipped her nose, but she acted as if she didn't notice.

Soon, she heard a twig snap from behind and she looked around the place she heard the noise. A large male bounded at her, but she quickly rolled away. She used her powerful legs to leap into the air and land on him. They bit at each other, rolling around, trying to pin each other. Venix came out on top of the other male.

"What business do you have doing in the Forest Pack's land?" She asked, baring her teeth.
The male didn't respond, but struggled beneth her.
"What Pack do you belong to?!" She asked, becoming annoyed.
"I don't have a Pack!" He spat.
"Then why are you roaming around in a Pack's territory?!" Venix persisted.
"I'm looking for a Pack to join!" He said despritely.

Venix sighed and hopped off him. "Come, I'll show you to our Pack." She walked up closer to his face once he got up. "But if you do anything to harm anyone of the Pack I'll personally rip your head off." She said warningly before swiftly turning and walking around the trees.(From The Land of the Mightena*)

Description: Zaire has chocolate brown hair, that is wind swept to his left. He wears a long sleeved crimson red shirt with a long gray vest lined with black over it. A silver bangle clasps at his wrist, clutching his red shirt to his wrists. He has piercing gray eyes, and a plain complexion. He wears black jeans that are slightly baggy on him, and black casual shoes. Zaire wears a silver ring on his right hand's middle finger, and a black fingerless glove on his left hand. He has a silver earring on his left ear and another silver earring on his cartilage.

Personality: Zaire is a very easy-going person, and is quite agreeable. His passive demeanor makes him a slight push-over, but he knows when to put his foot down, and how to put it down hard. There's nothing he won't try but if he doesn't get it right the first time, he usually won't try it again. He is slightly sensitive, given to deep thinking, which often makes his thoughts stray from the situation at hand. Granted, Zaire can also be extremely short-tempered. Sometimes he can't make up his mind, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived too late. He is naturally suspicious of others, but he is courageous, and has a powerful will. He is constantly smiling, hiding the disappointed expression in his true face, and causing his smile to be rather reminiscent. Akuda is usually quite friendly, but his passive joy is obviously forced.

Pokemon:

Mightyena (Dirge-Male)
BG:Dirge was once the leader of his pack, therefore, has much pride in his decisions, and has trouble following orders he doesn't agree with. He's powerful, but he's hard to control, as he's often running off on his own when he's contradicted. Dirge always returns though, because he knows that this is his new pack, whether he's the leader or not. His hatred for being ordered around make him hard to control in a battle, making him the rebel of the team. He also hates pokeballs, therefore, often ends up trudging behind Zaire.

Salamence (Till-Male)
Till is a rather blank Salamence, serious and brooding. He hates excessively cheerful people and pokemon, and is all around a taciturn pokemon. He likes to criticize orders that Zaire gives him in battle, but as he criticizes them, he deals them out anyway. Otherwise, he often ends up being the reasons that are tossed around in fights. Such as, ‘Why can’t you be smart like Till?’ or, ‘Just shut up and be quiet like Till’. He takes these comments with an exhasperated air, but is otherwise seen as the father figure of the group.

Houndoom (Blare-Male)
Blare is a short tempered blast of energy. He can be moody at times, but is most often found arguing with one of the team members, and he almost always gets the short end of the stick for this very reason. He acts on impulse, and likes to compete for command with Dirge. The two packs they used to be apart of were mortal enemies, and Blare carries a heavy hatred for Dirge. Blare’s love for arguing makes him the one that’s constantly angry out of his new pack. He even hates Dirge for hating being apart of the team, causing him to love his new ‘pack’ as much as he loved his old one, just to be opposite of Dirge.

Manectric (Jolt-Male)
Jolt is a hyperactive pokemon, contantly on sugar rush mode, and hones a 'faster then you' attitude. He's very fast on his feet, but his attacks lack power, as he's always directing his energy to going faster then he was before, instead of power in general. This makes battles he participates in extremely long and dragged out, as he's hard to hit, but he's weak as well. He argue's with Blare every now and then, but that's just because Blare started it with an insult. His pride rests on only one thing- his speed. He’s the most hyper of the group, and always seems excited at every little thing.

Scyther (Lash-Male)
Lash is an independent lone wolf, who dislikes his teammates, because he feels that he is the only pokemon that Zaire needs. Unlike Dirge, Lash is extremely proud to be Zaire’s pokemon, and is often defending him silently with his threatening glares and swords. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it’s usually few words. He’s more of an ‘action’ pokemon then a ‘waste time with words’ pokemon. This is why he is easily annoyed, therefore, has zero patience for people like this. He only get’s along with Spindle and Cyst, and is sometimes seen as the father figure of the pokemon team. Lash is overly obedient and loyal to human’s he trusts, but aggressive and defensive with others. He is Zaire's first pokemon.

Masquerain (Cyst-Female)
Cyst, being the only female in the group, is often the peacekeeper. She’s very laid back and dislikes the fighting that erupts amongst the pokemon. She’s powerful in battle, but her defense lacks, causing her to be an easy target. She’s a very elegant and graceful pokemon, and is pretty much built for contests, even though Zaire doesn’t participate in those. Cyst can often be very strict, and often issues bedtimes, exercise routines, and curfews. She often ends up arguing with Blare and Dirge about her orders, since the two hate being ordered around, but in the end, the two always lose to the level headed masquerain, that is the mother figure of her comrades.

Legendary: Ho-Oh

History: Zaire always had trouble in school. It wasn’t his grades, and it wasn’t his intellect level. It was his “illness” as his parents called it. When he was young, and discovered that other people saw things called, ‘colors’, he was instantly angry that he had to miss out. His parent told him that in the future it would go away, and he was halfly satisfied with this answer. His difficulty came in kindergarden, when everything was colorful in the classroom. The bright colors that were a very white gray irritated his eyes, and he ended up tripping around, refusing to wear the sunglasses provided. For his condition, his parents had spoiled him, making him very unhappy when he realized he had to share, or when he noticed that nobody seemed to care when he asked for things. He grew into a brooding child, shaken up by the sudden change of enviroment after his parents also stopped spoiling him. The problem continued when he continued to higher grades, where teachers unknowingly used multi-colored expo markers on the white boards. He was always very annoyed at this, but he never said anything, because he hated being aware of his disorder. The feeling of being different caused him to reject others, to hate anyone normal who came near him. Zaire became an angry child, who was constantly getting in trouble and constantly yelling. Soon enough though, after leaving school and traveling with an odd Scyther by his side, he met a girl who was blind. He realized that, not being able to see anything was worse then not being able to see colors, and instantly befriended her. She made him happier, and he became more normal, like he’d never gone through so many different phases in his life. He wasn’t as hyperactive as Jolt, but he was certainly trying to be happy for both himself, and the girl. But nothing lasts. After a year, her parents moved far away, and Zaire didn’t have the will to follow her, molding him back into the brooding person he was, feeling like he didn’t have any reason to be happy anymore. He befriended a man, who was homeless, but was extremely prideful, having lost everything he owned to some group called Team Rocket. He had apparently been a very good trainer in his days, and Zaire shaped the man into his idol, minus the loss of everything. He was still depressed about the loss of the girl though, and became a mix of the phases he’d gone through so far. After the man shooed him off to continue his journey, Zaire felt like someone else finally really understood what it was like to be different from the world, but the difference was that he accepted that, as though it were like getting up and eating breakfast. Soon after catching his newest pokemon, Dirge, his parent divorced for what seemed like no reason. He didn’t understand, as they had never fought before, but he didn’t ask questions, already accustomed to change. His personality was once again changed into what it is today, his joyless smile the result of two losses, and a split family. After his family split, he stopped training for 3 years, until today, where he’s decided he’ll continue with his failed journey, for the man who was once his idol.

Family: Zaire has a little sister name Kardinal, but she’s still much too young to have much recollection of who he is, due to the fact that he’s constantly traveling around. His parents are divorced, and he lives with his father, while Kardinal lives with his mother. The family is still freshly split, but Zaire still doesn’t know why the family fell apart, therefore, doesn’t let it bother him.

Knowledge: He knows nothing about the orbs, other then having seen Ho-Oh and Raikou in his lifetime. Once each. Therefore, he has faith that the legendaries do exist, though nobody he knows has ever contradicted this belief before.

Other: Zaire is a monochromat (which means he can only see black and white/is completely color-blind)

RPG Sample:A soft wind blew, rustling the leaves and trees of all that was around me. Not a single inch of cloth, hair, or flesh on me moved with the breeze. I closed my eyes, a pleased expression crossing my face as I lifted my head to face the crescent moon. I wasn’t happy that the cool breeze was passing, bringing relief to a warm night in the dead of summer. I couldn’t have been happy of this even if I wanted to be. I’d long forgotten what a breeze truly felt like. Opening my neon blue eyes that was perhaps the only thing that hadn’t faded with my death, I stared unblinkingly at the bright moon in the pool of dark night sky.

I smiled softly, feeling the last remnants of my existence soothed by the sight. Turning my gaze to look at a statue of a girl who looked strikingly similar to me, I narrowed my eyes in annoyance as I noticed that parts of the statue had been chipped off, and that it was draped in layers of spider webs, and leaves. It wasn’t a peaceful and mournful monument for the death of the richest family in town’s daughter. It was a disgusting and vandalised grave. I could touch it, or I would fall into an eternal sleep, and no longer be able to haunt the one’s who belittled my power.

The statue had the same wide eyes as me, but instead of carrying a sinister gleam to them as they did now, they were bright and cheerful. Time had wounded the bones that lied underneath the statue, and now, my pale white washed out skin and hair were traits I never carried millenia ago. I became known as the vengeful spirit to human’s who were still alive and well, a ghost bent on revenge for a murder that was commited for the sole reason that I had been perfect in every way. I laughed, a high cackle that would wake up the entire city, sending shivers down their spine as the humans told their offspring that it was just their imaginations.

Last time I had heard a human say, ‘it’s that stupid witch again. I thought you destroyed her grave.’ That family hadn’t lived much longer then the moment the woman finished uttering her pathetic words. I was not stupid, in my time I was a child prodigy, and I was no witch. If anything I was an angel, putting those moronic beings out of their misery. If they were good enough, they may have even shared an existence with me. That night, the night those ignorant humans had breathed their last breath, I had discovered that, I had the odd ability to lift weapons. Weapons that existed while I was alive anyway. Like swords, and knives. That was the way the family of four had died that night. On the police reports it was ‘slashed to death in a brutal murder’. In my headlines, it was, ‘Taken to a better place, more worthy of idiotic beings such as they were’.

I had left the knife I’d used, stabbed right through the woman’s heart, as it dripped crimson blood. For a passtime, I’d even taken out the old man’s hammer and nails, hammering her wrists, ankles, and neck to the wooden floor, so that they’d have to stare at her empty eyes and blank expression that much longer- in order to ‘put her to rest’. She would never rest after dying the way she did. But she’d never find her way to me either.

Kyle hasen't realy left home much, except for his visit to Hoenn with his dad. during the years Kyle caught and trained more pokemon, and as a result became a great (not the best, obviously) trainer.

Family: Dad- Marcus Redwing works for the Goldenrod radio tower and is where Kyle got his liking for pokemon, His dad was once a great trainer. His only pokemon now is an Omystar he got while escavating around Mt. Silver. Marcus is a tall, muscular man, just if you were wondering

Mom- Sara Redwing stays at home and takes care of things around the home. She was once an champion in the Pokemon Contests with her Bellossom. She now trys to keep things calm throughout the day, and like Mr. Redwing Sara is tall but not as muscular.

Knowledge: Kyle doesn't know about the legend right now.

Kyle had finaly arived at Cinnibar Island. While walking through streets of Cinnibar he noticed a pokemon battle between two trainers. What truely caught his eyes was the Wartotle's power as it tossed the Espeon. Kyle walked closer to the battle and grabbed a notebook out of his backpack and started joting down notes about the battle.
"Elm will be interestided by this trainer's preformance," Kyle said looking up from his notes, "That other trainer is doing a good job to..."

I think I will put the names of the people who claim the legendaries, just to make it a bit easier for people to see who's taken and who's free. But if you two just fix those up then you will be right, nothing drastic.

Her chocolate hair reaches her shoulders at a straight angle with many twists in her uncombed hair. At the edge of the right side of her hair, she sports a cherise colored streak that shines in the moonlight. Her bangs are right in front of her navy blue eyes and tend to get in the way of her vision unless her black sunglasses are laid atop her head. Moving on, Cat has a navy-colored shirt which has accents of white at the chest area. Her shirt angles atop her tanned khakis which point to her black and white Adidas which on the left shoe,sports a rock stuck in there. Cat also sports fingerless gloves of the color white on both her arms.On her wrist, Cat has a silver charm bracelet which consists of six charms: a cascading raindrop, a watermelon, a pokeball, a green clover, a beautifly, and a yin-yang sign.

Personality: Cat is a quirky girl who's always ready for some adventure in her life, at times she can be independent and do her own thing. Cat was named after a playful Skitty, and her name shines in her personality. She's pretty sweet at times, but when you get her angry, watch out. But once you get to know her, she's just like any other regular person and becomes a worthy ally in battles.
Pokemon:

[Absol - Csines - Male]
Csines is a bit smaller than the average Absol, but makes up for it in strength and brutality. Csines is pretty adamant and braves and always loves adventure. Most of the time, Csines loves curling up under a tree and taking a long, peaceful nap.

[Espeon - Ferma - Female]
Ferma is pretty much like an average Espeon, but its ears are larger than a normal one which allows more telapathy to come between her. Ferma was given to Cat as an Eevee and evolved during a small battle with a Primeape. Ferma is ruthlessy strong and after battles still want more. Like trainer, like pokemon, I guess.

[Cacturne - Grody - Male]
Grody is different from other Cacturnes as he is a big taller and more bulkier than an average Cacturne, but other than that he's just the same. Grody is a bit of a rebel at times, and only obeys Cat and who he trusts, but that doesn't change how he's a great pokemon friends, you just add a bit of trust.

[Ariados - Migalos - Female]
A pink bow is tied around Migalos's collar which accents the brightly colored purple on his legs. Migalos is a bit bigger than an average Ariados, but is still as swift as one. Migalos refuses to go in his pokeball and travels with Cat at a fast pace behind her.

[Banette - Aryleh - Female]
Aryleh's fur is as dark as shadows, which helps her at night. She has nothing different than the average Banette but her personality is like no other. Aryleh is cocky, quirky, and comedic, not much like a normal Banette. Aryleh loves being the center of attention so she mostly uses him in any pokemon contests.

Legendary: Celebi: Peacekeeper of Time Travel
History: Cat was born in the suburbs of Hoenn, reliving a terrible past and when she was two, her parents took her to a foster home. What did happen to her you ask? Well Cat's big brother was shot to death, her little brother was kidnapped, and an lion almost got Cat on her trip to Africa. Now that you know, lets continue on. Soon after Cat was adopted by a nice big family that lived in Fortree City, Cat loved the beauty of the forests and had a great time there. Then, she was summoned to help protect the legends. Cat didn't want to go, at first, but decided it was her duty.
Family: Cat has a mother and father named Violet and Ken and a younger sister named Himea, Cat lives happily with them but soon feels something terrible will happen between them.
Knowledge: On her way from the foster home, Cat saw a golden bird in the sky which was known as Ho-Oh and since then, has believed in legendarys.
Other: Cat can speak five different languages: Russian, French, Italian, Japanese, and English.

The calm breeze gently blew Cat's chocolate brown hair, her not noticing. "So, this is Gateon Port huh?" she said audibly so someone would notice her arrival. She walked down the short steep of stairs. "Not much, for a big region like Orre" she said gingerly under her breath.

Cat's gaze looked up at the big lighthouse, she swore she saw a mysterious figure over there but turned back when she heard a noise. She looked by the revolving bridges, a litttle girl and probably her brother just arrived.

She turned away, until she realized the boy, she quickly turned to him, "What's that metal thing on his arm" she thought to herself. And looked over to the little girl who was ignorantly walking into a gigantic young adult "Looks like a thug", and watched as the blue-haired girl walked right into him.

"It seems that the guy isn't happy" Cat said nodding her head, looking ignorant about what was happening. She put on her sunglasses to head their way, but was stopped by a tomato red and navy blue men in suits. "Who are they" she thought, as a shorter man was with them.

"Ehhh" she lightly said "It's not my matter anyways" she headed to the lighthouse revolving on the bridges one by one. Until she reached the top, she noticed a bulky trainer staring at her, watching. Until Cat started the conversation by saying to her "Wanna battle?" she watched as the trainer thought of her decision. "Fine" she replied "One pokemon, single battle".

The bodybuilder sent out a Poochyena, Cat thought it looked different from an average one, she carelessy put on her sunglasses, as the black lens put off a shadow aura. "What's that" Cat thought to herself. Then, Cat sent out her newly acquired Eevee.

"Poochyena Shadow Rush!" the bodybuilder said.

"What kind of attack is that?" Cat thought, well anyhow, Cat pointed to her Eevee.

"Ferma, use tackle!" confidently thinking she was going to win the battle as Cat smiled. Ferma slammed her body into the dog-like pokemon, hardly doing any damage.

"Poochyena, again, Shadow Rush!" the bulky trainer said as the pokemon glowed a shadow aura and slammed into Ferma who was already weak from the first attack. Ferma tried hard to stand her ground but fell. "Well, I guess I won the battle" the body builder said and walked away her Poochyena following.

"Hey" Cat said "Thats not fair!" she ignored Cat. She looked at Ferma she was badly injured. "You failed again" Cat said.

History: Derik parents split, when he was 7. His mother was always with a diffrent guy, every two weeks or so. she then fell into a deep drepresion that lead to her eventual death. Derick gets his temper from this part of his life. every man that she was with either treated him badly or treated him like he wasn't even there. after his mothers death he went to live with his father, his father was a rightous man who believed if you worked hard and were freindly you could go far. being 7 derik learned alot from his father and soon vowed to be like him. after 7 years of staying there his father got sick. he lived two more years, derik watched and took care of his dad. he saw the pain and agony that he went through. at the age of 16 Derik lost his father to the illness. from there he decicded to start on his journey of collecting badges and makeing a name for himself. within the past three years he has collected 10 badges.

With that george dashed out the door and down the steps. he had no intentions of going to the bathroom. he was heading for the first floor where Mark would be. george rounded the corner and slam he had been going so fast that he had not noticed the group of slackers standing in the door way. "HEY PUNK, you made me spill my drink on my new shirt. i'm gonna give you a pounding." one of the bullys yelled at him.
"oh yeah bring it on." George said while reaching to his side for one of his pokeballs. he was never one to back down to a good fight.

Ruby (Salamence): Rachel's first pokemon, Ruby is a complex pokemon, and her actions depend on those around her. She has a deep hatred for all of the teams, steming from her early life, where she was an experiment for Team Rocket.
Blaze (Blaziken): Stubborn and with a firey temper, Blaze was rescued by Rachel when she was only a Torchic from a Volcanic Eruption, however she dosen't seem to get along with Ruby, and fights between them are common.
Mystic (Milotic): Rachel's only non-dragon pokemon, Mystic is the peacekeeper of the group, and has a kind personality.
Serena (Dragonite): Despite her large size, Serena is rather timid, and dosen't like meeting new people very much.
Queenie (Kingdra): The Pokemon Rachel usualy enters in contests, Queenie is usualy only in battle as a last resort.
Rina (Flygon): The most recent pokemon Rachel caught, Rina is still unsure of her place on the team.
Legendary: Rayquaza, watcher of the Regi trio.
History: Very little is known about Rachel's history, because she never tells it to anyone. However some say she was taught by some of the best pokemon trainers in the world (she dosen't battle normaly, she actualy battles in a style used mostly by Giovanni, back when he was the Viridian Gym Leader (will explain later)).

Knowledge: She's known about the legend since she was 5, as well as her role, but is unsure of how much this will influence her life.
Other: She seems to have the ability to read the thoughts and feelings of pokemon, as well as healing them.

It was a beautiful day in the Hoenn region, Rachel is walking through the deserts, followed by a girl with long blue hair, and wearing a red jumpsuit.

"Rachel, just what are we here for?" the girl asks.

"Something important," Rachel mutters, brushing sweat off her forhead. She looks ahead, and sees what appeaers to be a group of rocks. When she takes out a pair of binnoculars, and studies it. "There it is," she says, and heads for the ruins, Ruby following.

"Its not your job to help Regirock, why are we here?" Ruby asks.

"Yes, but you never know," Rachel says. "Now I think we should get out of here, this heat is killing me."

When she turns to her companion, the girl is gone, in her place is her Salamence. Rachel climbs on the dragon's back, and they fly off.

(Ruby can transform between human and pokemon form, btw, it was part of the experiment.)

After that, I might have a few spare people if its not too crowded around here, most likely not because we will have 21 people here in total without the spares, anyway...


Kitt wiped some sweat from her forehead. She and Flare had been working hard, and it was a warm day. They had battled a lot of trainers, and it was only lunchtime. The rest of the team, as well as Flare, were getting pretty worn out. Just then, Kitt's Poke Gear began to ring, so she quickly pulled it out of her pocket and looked at the screen.

'It's Professor Elm!' Kitt said happily. 'Hello?'

'Hello Kitt, how are you and your Pokemon keeping?'

'We're doing good, sorta. We're a little worn down, but nothing drastic. So what's happening?'

There was a short pause, before Professor Elm replied 'I got an email from a fellow colleague, his name is Professor Hayato. He said that he has discovered something, and that he needs the best trainers he can find.' Kitt was silent, unable to grasp what the professor had just said.

'But... if he wants the best trainers why are you picking me over my brother? He's much more exper...'

'I can't get a hold of him.' The professor cut in. 'Even your mother has tried, he must be out of range or something like that. I don't know what's happening with him.' Kitt sighed, it was very difficult to get a hold of her older brother, Yoshi. He was often out of contact range, for some unknown reason.

'Where can I find him?' Kitt groaned.

'Head over to Neon Town in the Kanto region near Saffron City and look for a laboratory. You will find him there.'

Derik walked off the little seacraft he had chartered from lavender town, to saffron city, he was excited, he would finally be able to go into the safari zone again. every year he would safe up money for this trip. stepping onto the docks he stoped looked up and then around and took a deep refreshing breath of sea air, it would be the last for some time. he then turned and continued down the docks towards the city. memories comeing back to him, beating koga the Ninja leader. koga had been a hard opponent, but a great teacher as well. he continued to walk off the dock onto dry land. from there he made his way to the gates of the saffari zone. to his astonishment the saffari zone would be temperarily closed due to cleaning of the park. this set Derik in a bad mood. he turned around and headed for the next town. "Closed, closed, closed for cleaning what type of crap is that?" he thought to himself, stuffing his hands in his pockets. his bag was begining to wear him down so he decided to stop at the pokecenter.

OOC:Changed a pokemon in my team for practical reasons...

IC: Pissed off. That was what I was. I felt like a blind person up in the skies on Till's back. I had just left Larousse, perhaps the best place I'd ever visited, and was headed for wherever I was headed. Somewhere around Saffron. It was rather abrupt, as the block bot had simply floated up to me and given me a peice of paper. I thought it was really odd, as nobody in Larousse used paper to send notes. E-mails were much faster.

I sighed and closed my eyes, leaving Till to find our way to the stupid place. It would be at least a few hours, even at our speed. We had to go all the way across half of Hoenn, all of Jhoto, and half of Kanto, in other words, two regions. I felt really sorry for Till, but who knew? Till probably felt really fortunate, because he loved to fly, and I hated to fly. Everything was so bright up here, I was pretty much blind, holding onto the back of Till's gray back that seemed to stand out in a blindingly obvious color difference, as opposed to the white clouds with touches of gray shadow. There was no black up here. Simply light grays, and whites.

Till noticed my slight annoyance, and dived into the clouds, making everything white until we were under the cover of clouds, a few things darker now, and the city of Ecruteak speeding under us. That was where we caught Blare! But I didn't stop and let him reminisce, I wanted to get to this Neon Town as soon as possible, and permenantly out of the air for the entire day. Sunglasses made me look ridiculous, but I did have a pair of square silver glasses that weren't too big on me, that turned into shades. I didn't like wearing those either, especially since I had contacts in.

No less, those contacts, didn't act as shades. Till did a somersault for the record just before we landed, savoring his last tastes of the sky for the day, as I felt rather awkward, folded underneath his inwardly folded blackish gray wings, that were supposedly some color called 'red'....blackish gray. I deemed it. Landing with a loud, 'foom!' I sighed in relief when I noticed that the place we'd arrive in wasn't as bright as the skies. But there weren't very many buildings around...

"Till, where are we?" I asked sliding off of him, and feeling Dirge immediately shoot out of his pokeball, growling at me, or rather, the spherical artificial object that had trapped him for the past few hours. I stared at Dirge, who, turned around and sat with an annoyed expression on his face, showing that he wouldn't be moving his fat butt until I promised I wouldn't confine him for the rest of the day.

Till looked around, and was just as confused as me, question marks blotting over his head as he stumbled around, not spotting the buildings that I did. Before he could cause any damage, I returned him and gave Dirge my word, and he followed me into the little town we'd found. I didn't think this could be Neon Town, and if it was, I didn't have the slightest idea where to look for this professor...none of the buildings looked particularly special to me...or maybe one was brightly colored. I wouldn't be able tell then...

I clenched my fists and Dirge glanced at me, knowing exactly what I was going through. He, Blare, and Jolt had black and white vision too. The thought cheered me up slightly, and I untensed, and began to look for something that would indicate where this place was...

"Queenie, break the ice wall with your Hyper Beam!" Rachel commands, she's currently at the contest hall in Slateport City, and her Kingdra sends a blast of energy, destroying a wall of ice, and blasting the opponent, who's energy falls to 0.

"And the winner of the Slateport Pokemon Contest is Rachel Bolt and her Kingdra!" The announcer says.

Afterwords, Rachel is outside the contest hall, looking at her 3 ribbons. 2 more to go, maybe I should try Rubello town next, but which pokemon should I choose to compete in the different rounds, she thinks.

Kyle was reoganizing things in Elm's Lab when another aide came up to him and asked him if he could help put new pokedex information into the computers, "Okay, I'll help, just let me finish putting these things away." Kyle then went back to reorganizing.

"Man I wish i could get some help around here... oh wait I've got Alakazam!"

Kyle thought to himself. He grabbed a Pokeball on his belt and out of it came an Alakazam, "Okay Alakazam, you can help me reorganize this stuff." So Kyle and Alakazam finished up organizing and went to help the other aide, but before he could get to the computers Elm called him over.

"Kyle," Elm said, "I'm sending you to find my fellow colleague, Professor Hayato"

"Why?" Kyle asked returning Alakazam to it's pokeball.

"Because Professor Hayato is in need of the best trainers he can find." Elm replied.

"Well he's found one of the Best!" Kyle said almost a little to eagerly.

Elm laughed,"Well just head to Neon Town in the Kanto region near Saffron City and look for a laboratory. You're bound to find him there."

"Okay!" Kyle said running out the door, "I'll be back soon!" and with that Kyle was out the door and heading the Neon Town.

Nakaba watched his charizard fly towards him. "someone's beating a caterpie."Charizard said in pokemon language. "go stop the trainer I finaly have to go into to town to get a potion." Nakaba told him before starting to run. nakaba opened the door and went up to the clerk. "What would you like to buy?" She asked."I would like to buy 5 potions." He replyed."That will be 500 yen."She declared. Nakaba reached into his pocket before remembering that he had no money "What do i do now?" He asked himself.

Charzizard back at the forrest was not in a good possesion the guy beating the caterpie had a poliwrath.

As Derik sat there resting a starange man slowly approuched him. Derik still in a bad mood gave the man a nasty look.
"Excuse me sir. this has just arrived for you." the man said presenting a small envelope in his hands. Derik not quite sure he should take it, looks up to the man and says, " no one knows im here, are you sure its for me?"
the man chuckled a little bit and responed, "yes a man came in earlier with this and asked if we could give this letter to a trainer fitting your discription."
Derik was astonished, without hesitation he takes the letter, before opening it he thanks the man as he walks back to the counter. Derik then opens the letter and begins to read it. After reading he is confused there wasn't much to it. he then heads to neon town as the letter suggested.

After about a 20 minute walk he arrives in neon town, its a small town with not so many buildings. he sees a trainer who seems appsolutly confused, figuring that he was not the only one to recieve one of these letters walks up to her. As he does he notices that she has a mightyena following her he yells out to her not wanting to get to close.
"exscuse me miss, um, I'm wondering if maybe you could help me? I'm looking for professor Hayato."

On her way north, Rachel's Pokegear goes off, she answers it, seeing that its from Professor Elm.

"Miss. Bolt, I'm sorry to call you unexpectidly like this," Professor Elm says to her.

"Its okay, but this better be important," Rachel says.

"Well, yes, a colleague of mine named Professor Hayato in Neon Town, he seems to have found something, and needs the best trainers he can find, you seem to be more into coordinating these days, but could you please help?" Elm asks.

"Sure, I've got nothing better to do, and I guess I could use a break, thanks for calling, talk to you later," Rachel says, and hangs up, she lets out her Salamence Ruby. IC: I turned around and sweatdropped. Did I really look that much like a girl? Dirge was growling at the trainer, as though saying, 'nobody insults Zaire like that but me!'. Or, he was just growling at the pokeball's attached to the guy's belt.

"Um, I'm not a miss, and I'm looking for the Professor as well." I said, "Are there any oddly colored buildings, or white buildings? I'm sure those are one's that would be most likely the Professor's." Hating myself for not being able to see colors, I pushed down on Dirge's butt, making him sit, and glare at me. He wasn't one to do human tricks. I looked around again, to see nothing but houses that seemed to be the exact same color...to me at least. It was really confusing, because I felt like I was looking at two sides of a mirror...whatever that meant.

"Why don't we both look for the Professor? I don't have 100% vision, so I'm kind of lost. I'm Zaire." I said, holding out a hand for the unknown guy to shake.

Nakaba ran back to the forrest "I have to take caterpie to a proffesor to heal it" He thought. when he finaly reached charizard he saw the that he was going to need help and whistled a minute later hitmonchan appeared. "Perfect now guilotine!" He commanded. The attack pulled through knocking out poliwrath "I have to go see proffesor elm" He Said before returning hitmonchan. Nakaba picked up caterpie and hopped on charizard and told him to fly to newbark.it took only 15 minutes for him to get to elm "Can you heal this caterpie" He asked. As elm was healing caterpie He asked Nakaba "Mind doing me a favor and going to meet prof. Hayoto tell him prof. elm sent you I forgot remeber he's in neon town?" "usualy I'd say no but I owe you so yes." Nakaba replyed.

Rachel and Ruby lands in Neon Town, not far from where Zaire and Derik are. Haven't been here in awhile, Rachel thinks to herself, and nods to Ruby, who has transformed into her human form.

"So, I understand we're looking for a Professor Hayato?" Ruby asks.

Rachel nods, and the two start to look around.

Oc: Derik blushed as he looked at Zaire, "I am so sorry." he apollogized, shakeing Zaires hand, "I'm Derik, and i would be glad to look for prof. kayato with you." he turned his head one way then the other. then he looked down the street in front of him. "well all these building seem to be the same. but i think there is one thats diffrent down that street." he said pointing in front of him. he started down the street, then stoped and looked at Zaire, "that mightyena of yours is very protective, thats a good thing." he said and headed down the street turning his head slightly to see if Zaire was following him.

I looked at Dirge who now donned an extremely offended expression, and I laughed, "Not really. He's probably just growling at the pokeballs on your belt. He doesn't like pokeballs, which is why he's out of his." Zaire followed after Derik, and felt like the building he'd pointed out wasn't any different then the others. Maybe it was an illusion that the black and white caused. If it were dark out, then he would've been able to notice the difference immediately.

Dirge followed, still rather miffled from being called protective of a trainer he despised. I felt Blare snapping his fangs at the edge of his pokeball, thrashing around in annoyance, knowing that if he left his pokeball to pick a fight with Dirge, Dirge would make fun of him and bark that Blare had just trampled on one of his "beloved" trainer's orders- to stay in his pokeball when Dirge was out, unless I released Blare myself.

Blare, calmed down after awhile of Dirge fully ignoring him, but stayed sulking in the pokeball, annoyed with Dirge, as usual.

History: Maya grew up in the quiet town of Fortree from birth. From a young age, she showed signs of dislexia, a learning disorder that made it difficult for her to read, write and spell. Because of this, she was often shunned by many of her classmates, but still remained optimistic. Despite her disorder, when asked questions orally she was very intelligent. At eleven, she asked to be allowed to begin her journey, as school did her little good anyway. Her request was granted, and so it began.
As she grew older, a mark on the palm of her hand, which she had always put down to a birthmark, became more prominent. It looked almost like a burn, but glowed silver, and only tingled a little when she touched it. She told no-one, but when she recieved her first pokémon, Professor Birch noticed and told her what he knew of the legend.
Knowledge: Maya knows very little about the legend, due to her inability to glean information from books. However, she knows that she has been chosen to assist Articuno, the legendary bird of ice.
Roleplay sample:
Maya sighed as she strode through the many rows of books in the Rustboro library. She knew it was useless, but the mark on her hand was beginning to ache more regularly, and she had decided to try and learn a little about this legend. She had found few books on the topic of Articuno, and the ones she had either had too small-a font for her to read, or were just fictional books about the bird of ice. A sense of hopelessness overcame her as she slumped down in a chair, looking at the glowing, silver mark. She ran her fingers through her hair, wondering what she was supposed to do. She closed her eyes, and could almost hear the cry of Articuno in her ears. Opening her eyes again, she realised it was her pokénav. Rushing outside to take the call, she pressed a button and a screen slid across her eyes, displaying the face of Professor Birch. His tone sounded urgent, and as he spoke, Maya's eyes widened. "WHAT? Are you sure?... To Kanto?... But that's miles away!... Yeah, I guess so. But.... Oh, okay. I'll be there right away. Thanks."
Maya pressed the button again the the screen retracted into the main body of the pokénav, which was mounted on her left ear, and left only a small part in front of her left eye. There was a small microphone coming from the pokénav which allowed her to talk hands-free. The font was also extra large to help her read it.
Grabbing her bike from the rack, Maya leapt on. Excitement began to build in her chest as she pedalled towards a wide open space. Releasing her pidgeot from its pokéball with a flourish, she leapt on its back and gave it orders. "To Slateport City, Pidgeot! We've got an urgent situation on our hands!"
Maya's travel plan was simple. Well, slightly less-than-simple. First to Slateport City, where she could travel on the SS Tidal to Olivine City. From there, she could take the SS Anne to Vermillion City, and from there bike to Saffron, then to Neon Town.
No problemo.

Maya dismounted from her bike as she arrived within the city's boundaries. She shook her hair and ran her hand through it again - it had developed into a nervous habit. Clicking a button on her pokénav, the screen extended across her eyes and she searched Neon Town for the laboratory. The equipment gave her instructions, as well as arrows on the map, and she quickly found her way to the front door of the laboratory, which was very large, very round, and very white. She smiled and approached the door. "I'm ready now," she whispered to herself.

IC: Kyle sent out his Alakazam again, "Sorry Alakazam, but I need you to teleport us to Neon Town, Okay?"
"Kazam!" Alakazam replied as they both vanished into thin air.
Shortyly after they arrived at Neon Town Kyle noticed two people and a mightyena, "Hey are either of you two looking for Professor Hayato? If you are could I tag along with you guys, because I'm looking for him as well, oh silly me I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Kyle Redwing and this is my Alakazam..."

Derik went to turn and sa something to Zaire, when all of a sudden a man poped out of thin air right in front of them. Startled Derik jumped back, "wow, you almost gave me a heart attack." he said to the man. after a minute or two of explanation Derik said, 'sure you can join us."
he turned to Zaire, "i think were going the wrong way. know that i have looked at the building closer its exactly the same as the others." Derik turned his head in every dirrection."hey there is what looks like a town square just down that street." he say to them both. "it might have a map or a bullien board." he says starting to head down that way.

Zaire blinked at the newcomer and said, "That was...spontaneous. I haven't the slightest idea how you could've simply guessed we were looking for Professor Hayato, but I don't particularly mind if you come along with us."

Dirge looked just about ready to murder somebody, for all the backtracking and turning around and confusion. It ripped out Professor Hayato's letter from my pocket and gave it a good sniff, running off towards wherever it smelled the scent strongest. Picking up the letter with great speed, Zaire ran after his rebellious Mightyena, and called behind him, "Dirge probably found it!"

But Dirge wouldn't wait for anybody, and screeched to a stop in front of a building that looked just the same as the others. Staring at it intently as though just by looking at the building, it would burn a hole through it, Zaire looked up and sweatdropped. It really did look just like the other buildings. How in the world were we supposed to recognize it out of every other building? Then, I noticed, on the mailbox, in miniscule print, 'Professor Hayato' in all caps. I could barely see it, as it was merely indented into the metal, instead of painted or embossed on, but I could recognize the letters.

"Foooound it!" Zaire said waving to the other two.

"Okay, well what are we waiting for," Kyle said to the two others,"Oh, I guess you could call it a very lucky guess that I knew that you were looking for the Professor, because since you were in Neon Town I thought, well that you might be looking for the Professor as well. I sorry, I don't think I caught your names..." Kyle returned Alakazam to his pokeball and back on his belt, "and sorry for the scare, that happens to a lot of people when I do that, but Alakazam's the fastest way to get from New Bark to here..."

Maya looked at the small group of people who had arrived. They all seemed to know each other, so she kept quiet, unsure of what to do or say. She lifted her hand and rapped sharply on the door three times, listening to the satisfying echo that came from the dark and beautiful wood. Her pokénav clicked, and the screen fully retracted, followed the the microphone, which disappeared to a degree that only the samll, black reciever could be seen at the front of the device.
Maya smiled and leant against the wall, a mix of emotions fluttering in her stomach.

I kept walking down the empty road, I was pretty bored, I mean Really bored.
I sighed as I hit a sign, ' Ten mile's to neon town', I was tired after had walked up to here from over one hundred miles away. But I kept my cool and about an hour and a half later I hit another sign. ' Welcome to Neon Town!' I was releived to have finnaly gotten here, it was all over! I walked in and straight through to some people who knew each other.

After Kitt had hung up Professor Elm sent the directions to Professor Hayato's lab to Kitt's Poke Gear. Several hours of travelling later, Kitt and Flare reached Neon Town. Kitt had to stop by the Pokemon Center for another half hour to get her Pokemon healed up. Once they were all fit and healthy again, she and Flare made their way down the quiet streets of Neon Town. When they finally reached the professor's lab they noticed a group of trainers standing out the front of the door.

'Well, what do you know? We've been beat here.' Kitt said to Flare. Flare gently growled, then noticed the Mightyena, who growled back ferociously. Flare knew better than to pick a fight unless Kitt said so, so Flare just shrugged, and lay down like an obedient dog while they waited for the professor.

Kitt was about to introduce herself, before the door opened, and a tall man, with light brown hair that stuck up a bit, and a lab coat stepped out. 'Ah, I see that some of you have already arrived. I am Professor Hayato.' The professor invited all the trainers inside, and sat them all down on couches in a lounge. 'Now, you may or may not know why you are here. Professor Elm has reassured me that he has sent me the best trainers he could find.'

Maya looked around before taking her seat. Flattered that she had been named as one of 'the best trainers Professor Elm could find', she simply smiled and kept quiet, happy to listen to whatever it was that the professor had to say. Aside from that, she felt a little awkward about meeting these people. Once, if, they found out about her dislexia, would they decide she was dumb, and count her as an outcast? This was something that she had to think about whenever she met someone new. She could only hope that she could find a friend somewhere along the line.

'Over the last 20 years I have been studying up on the legendary Pokemon. There is a legend that says there are nine orbs that contain them, and prevent them from wreaking havoc.'

Flare growled in confusion, as well as Kitt. 'What does this have to do with us? You want us to help with your research or something?'

'No.' Professor Hayato said in a strict tone. 'The orbs are all on a large, solitary island. I have been over there myself, and have seen three of the orbs with my own eyes. There have been strange people in lab coats wandering around the island. I fear they may want the orbs.'

'They could just be trainers, searching for Pokemon.' Kitt suggested.

'Maybe, but they all have the same battling style. They battle brutally, as if they have to win at all costs. Even if the opponent Pokemon is too exhausted to fight they continue to battle it until...' The professor turned away, clenching his fist. Then he turned back to the trainers and said 'I know an evil trainer when I see one, and I have seen several on that island.' The professor was silent, as were the trainers. 'I want you to protect the orbs. If those orbs are removed from their places by anyone, the legendary Pokemon will awaken and wreak havoc. You must go to the island and meet my brother, Marcus. He knows alot more than I do, and he will tell you everything you need to know. We can't take any chances.'

Maya nodded solemnly, still silent. She knew that this was a serious matter, and the mark on her hand was burning - strange, since had never really given her any trouble before. Excitement was replaced by fear and an almost choking nervousness. Her hand sub-consciously hovered over her pidgeot's pokéball, and she began to mentally prepare herself for the journey that was ahead. It would take guts, bravery and a quick mind, and Maya wasn't sure that she possessed any of these.

Derik sat there, to himself thinking over what the professor had just told them. he turned and looked at Zaire, wondering what was going through his mind. he had come to think of Zaire as a friend or at least an aquantences. after a few seconds he stood up, "Well how are we getting to the Isalnd were your brother is?" he asked. he then walked over to the wall on his right and leaned against it, still more questions came to his mind. he looked around the room at the diffrent trainers, did he have the streangth to go along and help them. As he thought he falshed back to when his father had died, "Derik i know you will be strong. you have great skills, abd abilitys. Never let any one doubt you, and never doubt yourself." Deriks father said laying there, "but father how am i going to get through without you?" derik asked
"Trust me you will...." those were the last breaths his father took.
comeing back from his memory he had more ocnfidence, he could and would help the proffessor.

I listened in silence, and sighed when Dirge snorted pitifully at Professor Hayato.

"I'm sorry about that." Zaire muttered, tapping Dirge on the nose to shut him up, "So, basically, we're supposed to protect the orbs?" Dirge snorted again, and Zaire threateningly put a hand on the empty pokeball attatched to his belt.

"Rrr." Dirge settled himself on the ground with a disgruntled expression on, his head laying on Zaire's foot. He felt like this man should just do it himself, instead of getting other people to do his dirty work. That was the way things worked in a good pack, where pokemon got what they needed to survive, and shared whatever extra they had. But this man...was asking him to protect a ball from other humans? Well that was a bit MUCH without any kind of reward.

Zaire noticed Dirge's annoyance, but simply ignored it. Dirge would just have to live with it.

"So once we get to the island. What're we supposed to do? Camp out in front of the orbs and ward off any people that get near?" Zaire asked, "As Derik said, how're we going to get there? By our own pokemon? If so, then, we'd need a map right? And why are these people looking for these orbs? Why not just take 'em? If you've found them, surely they have too?"

So many questions, so few answers. And no less, Zaire's...problem, might get in the way, when trying to find the orb, or battling others. It always did, and it would never go away, so why pick a handicapped trainer?

Nakaba had just landed in neon town " Ah the great city of neon. Why the hell did he come here again" Nakaba muttered. Nakaba started walking around "Where is this proffesor hayoto person I've got a forrest to protect." Nakaba muttered. he walked around he had lived in the forrest so long he forgot about signs although he was inteligient and could read well for someone who spent half of their life in a jungle he bumped into a sign " I wonder if his lab has a sign." Nakaba muttered and continued to look for something even remotely lab-like.

((Sorry for the late response, I have been unable to get on all week.))The professor listened to the two trainers, and started thinking about what Zaire said. He was probably right, the trainers might have found the orbs by then. The thought of this made the professor worried.


'I guess none of you have heard the legend, then.' He said aloud. Kitt and Flare tilted their heads in unison and confusion. Professor Hayato noted this response and continued. 'A long time ago a terrible battle erupted between Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Regirock, Regice and Registeel. They were constantly destroying other Pokemon's homes in their battle, and even took innocent Pokemon's lives. The other legendary Pokemon did their best to try and help, and even stop the battle, but their efforts were in vein.

Until Lugia, Rayquaza and Ho-Oh came together and created nine orbs, which calmed the nine enraged Pokemon. The Pokemon hid away on the island, along with the orbs, and all the rest of the legendaries disappeared. The orbs I found are the same ones that keep Suicune, Entei and Raikou under control. If any one of them is moved so much as ONE INCH away from their places all of the nine legendaries will once again become enraged, and only Lugia, Rayquaza and Ho-Oh can hope to stop them.'

It was just then the lab phone rang from the desk. 'Please excuse me for a minute.' The professor picked up the phone in a calm matter and answered. 'Hello? Ah, Marcus, yes. They have arrived and... what? Already?! ...How many are there? Only three? ...I can send them on the ferry right away, can you hold them off? ...Very well, I will tell them.'

Kitt tensed up and sensed trouble as Professor Hayato hurried over to the trainers. 'Alright everyone, there is a port about five minutes out of town, you all need to get there as fast as you possibly can.'

'What's going on?' Kitt asked as the professor picked her up off the couch and hurried around the room.

'The trainers I told you about are making their way towards the orbs. If they move them Suicune, Entei and Raikou will be very upset and start attacking anything. Marcus is holding them off as long as he can, but I don't know if it will quite be long enough.' It seemed as if the professor wasn't taking a single breath in between any of his sentences. 'Now, once you get to the port, go to the main office and say that I booked a ferry for you that's headed for Denkiteki Island, then get on it and leave straight away. There is no time to lose!'

Kitt and Flare gave each other a nod, then Kitt pulled a Pokeball from her belt and threw it into the air. 'Psi! Come on out!' The ball burst open to reveal her Abra. It wasn't strong enough to teleport to an island, but five minutes away? Piece of cake. 'Alright can you teleport us to a port that's near here?' Psi nodded and began to glow as Kitt and Flare made contact in Psi.

Zaire nodded, and Dirge snorted again, but with a deft ‘flick of the nose’, Dirge shut up.

“Sorry about this, but unless you want to ride on Till’s back with me…” Dirge’s eyes widened, as he had a deathly fear of heights, and he grudgingly returned to his pokeball, barking that Zaire owed him something for a broken promise, “Well, I’m ready to go, but I’m going to randomly guess we just have to put them out of action for awhile, long enough for us to be able to learn more about this legend?”

Not really waiting for an answer, and dropping his pokegear number on Professor Hayato’s desk, Zaire left the lab and tossed a pokeball up and down in his hand before calling out a groggy Till, “We’ll make 5 minutes, 3.” Zaire announced, hopping onto Till’s neck and letting the Salamence rise into the air, “If you need to tell me anything,” Zaire called, “Call me!”

And Till was off, soaring toward the only body of water he could see.

Derik was walking towards the door, "Well proffesor, wish me luck." with a toss he too droped his pokegear number on the desk and was out the door. once off the steps he tosses a pokeball in the, out comes a sleek and slender pidgeotto. "well, egale lets make this a little race with Zaire. can we make it two and a half minutes?" with that said derik and Egale were off, slowly gaining on Zaire and the port.

Maya said nothing, but stood up and walked calmly out of the door, unclipping her pidgeot's pokéball as she went. I have to help these pokémon ... she thought to herself as she released her pidgeot and swung her leg over its back. "Just follow the crowd, pidgeot," she commanded. With a loud caw and a nod of its head, the pidgeot flapped its wings twice, rose into the cool air, then soared above Derik and Eagle on a warm current. The pidgeot's feathers were caressed by the air and trapped it in so as to move faster and more smoothly.

As the glow faded away Kitt and Flare looked around the quiet port, whilst Psi just sat lazily on the ground. 'Is this the right place?' Kitt asked in doubt. Flare just shrugged and growled. He then turned to Psi.

'Baruu?' 'Abra, ab.' As Flare scratched his head Psi slowly fell backwards onto his back, and was out like a Snorlax. Flare slapped his forehead in disbelief.

'Never mind him.' Kitt calmly said as she pulled Psi's Pokeball from her belt and recalled him. She looked around in the sky and noticed three black specks that were too far away to identify. Kitt merely shrugged it off and looked at all the boats in the port, wondering which one would take them to the island. 'Where are the others?' she thought to herself, 'If they don't get here soon we'll be too late.'

Derek was gaining on Zaire, he liked him he, Zaire had a certine feeling about him. within yelling distance he yells jokeingly, " hey Zaire, im catching up."
Derek then notices the pidgeot behind him closeing fast, he waves to the trainer with a smile, then leans in and wispers to Eagle, "lets show them why we are one of the best." with that Eagales wings flap and his feathers turn smooth, faceing the same direction and begins to gain fast speed. staying as close to the bird pokemons body Derek looks to see how far they are from there destination, to his astonishment they are almost there.

Zaire smiled and chuckled, though he didn't part his lips. Who knew what he'd swallow up here?! But, turning mostly around so that the wind whipped at the back of his head he said, "Too late!" Till soared down to the port, and Zaire noticed one of the trainers from earlier. How had she beat him and Derik there? That was a surprise, but currently it didn't matter. If he really cared that much, he might ask her later, but for now, he really didn't care all too much.

"Till, return." Zaire said, as the pokemon disappeared in a red laser, "Unfortunately, I'm not the comptetive type, but playing along is my specialty." He called up to Derik apologetically, "This time was just a lucky break for me!" Whipping out a roll of duck tape as he waited for the others, He taped Dirge's pokeball shut, the tape wrapped around the button that enlarged the pokeball, technically trapping the pokemon in the sphere.

<'**** you.'> Dirge growled.

<'**** yourself.'> Blair barked back, ensuing a barking battle on Zaire's belt. Sweatdropping, he tried to ignore the two quarreling dog pokemon, and asked, "So that's the boat?"

Cat glanced at her watch, she was late, not even close to that Proffessor, somethings laboratory. "Wait.." cat began to say as she stopped, losing her harmony with the terrian and bulging into the solitude face first, crimson blood gracefully flowing from her elbows and knees.

She took out a pokeball, it was of puce and sterling color scheme, an unusual color. "Ferma, go!" she called out as a pokemon of a nebulous mauve color with two twines in the tails came to avail. "Use Teleport, please?" she asked and the pokemon teleported her to a laboratory, it was plaited wiith many layers of steel, and supposedly used for research, others were here, talking about 'their mission', I guess thats what its about and heard other gossip like 'other trainers' and 'suicune' and 'the port', I guess that was the letter was all about.

"Ferma, teleport to the port!" Cat said as the pokemon once again changed Cat's venue, here she also saw trainers, they weren't admiring the cascading cerulean waves of the sea but looking at their feet, gloomily. As Cat went over to them she noticed they were talking, their soft voice seemed so soothing and accented those waves. "Hi, I'm Cat!" she said hoping to make some new friends.

He wears a loose black shirt over a long-sleeved white shirt and has on a pair of black pants as well. His shoes consist of a pair of black sneakers and on his hands, a pair of navy blue fingerless gloves.

Personality: Yuichi is kind-hearted but a bit of a klutz. He is eager to help and is dependable....but to a slight degree. He takes defense to a higher step than his offense and he is a caring person. He conversates but not enough some say. He doesn't have the urge to compete as much as other people but he CAN keep up with them without them thinking it. He's not a book person but rather one who'd like to see things with his own eyes to believe it.

History: Yuichi is a traveler of sorts helping others while trying to gain knowledge about the mysteries of the world. It has been years since he had come back to visit his hometown.
Family: Annie, 12, is also a trainer but rather stay around home instead of travel. Amy, 8, helps out mother with housework and things. Anabel, 42, is our mother and a trainer. Jack, 43, is our father, a pokemon trainer as well.
Knowledge: Since Yuichi is not a book person, he has little knowledge of it until he saw a picture of Latias and its remarkable symbol that resembles that of his own in Professor Birch's lab. All he knows now is he is able to communicate with Latias, not as much though, and serves under it's rightful eye.

"Waaaa?! Y-You want me to go to Neon Town.... Are you serious Professor Birch? Neon Town.... That's quite a distance but it is fine..... Yes I'll be there ASAP starting right now." Yuichi said to the Professor as he dropped the phone onto the receiver, and said good-bye to his family before leaving. Stepping outside his house, Yuichi grabbed a pokeball from his belt and threw it infront of him. A blinding flash calmed to reveal a fairy pokemon, Celefable.

"I know it's far but can you teleport us to Slateport, Celefable?" Yuichi asked his trusty fairy pokemon. Celefable nodded twice before shaking her small fingers back and forth. A tingly sensation always occured when Teleport was being used and by now Yuichi had gotten used to it. As both, Yuichi and Celefable, their images started to blurr, a short dispersion said the teleport was successful. Now with a recurring image, both arrived at Slateport.

"Oh man... This is going to take a long trip..." Yuichi murmured as he boarded the ship bound for Olivine City.
It took a good 6 hours to reach Olivine and another 4 hours to hit Vermillion City. Yuichi felt tired after getting off the ship and setting foot on land. Celefable smiled at his tiredness and with a shake of her fingers his tiredness had left him.
Surprised but energized, he asked with a smile, "Did you just use Refresh?" Celefable nodded and smiled back. "Thanks." He patted Celefable on the head and then returned his fairy pokemon back to her pokeball. "Now... On to Saffron..." Yuichi said and rode off on his folding mach bike. After an hour and thirty minutes, Yuichi had reached Saffron City and carried onwards towards Neon Town. After much dismay, he had finally reached his destination. Flipping his pokenav and seaching the area, he scouted for the lab. A small blinking on the map indicated that the lab was...... right infront of him! He had a look of stupidity on his face for a split second and made his way to the front door of the lab.

"Gah... Finally... That was long..." Yuichi said with a face of relief.

Derek landed next to Zaire, returning Eagle to his pokeball. "hey at least it was fun, Right?" with that he turned to the trainer that was already there. "excuse me have you any idea of wich boat we are supposed to take?" he didn't want to miss this boat, otherwise it would be a long flight for Eagle and him.

Kitt looked around at the trainers which had arrived by air and teleportation. One that she didn't notice at the lab introduced herself as Cat.

Kitt smiled at Cat and said 'Hi, pleased to meet you. My name's Kitt.' She then felt Flare nudge her in the back, growling. As Kitt turned around she noticed a man dressed in uniform walking over to one of the boats. Flare jogged after the man, drawing Kitt's attention with him.

'Flare! Get back here!' She yelled as she ran after him. The man stopped, as did Flare and Kitt. 'Sorry sir,' Kitt said, keeping on hand on Flare's head, 'he's just a bit excited.'

The man just shrugged it off and turned around before Kitt said after him 'Do you know which ferry goes to Denkiteki Island?' The man stopped and turned around, examining the trainers that were standing in a group.

'I'm taking a ferry over there right now, actually,' he said in a gruff voice. 'Don't know why you would be wanting to go there, but I have to do my job.' He then looked at the trainers again and said 'Are all of you headed there?'

'Yes sir.' Kitt replied. The man turned his back on Kitt, mumbling something under his breath, and then turned back to her and said 'Alright. Get everybody on board and we'll head off.'

"pleased to meet you kitt." he said in replay, watching as her pokemon ran after a man dressed in a uniform. he watched as the scene played out. "Great, timeing." he thought to himself, as the sea breeze blew through his hair. he hadn't relized it, but he hadn't been to the ocean in a long time. he had heard the man say that the trainers should get on board, he quietly walked to, and on the ship. he took his place near the back of the ferry, sitting down on the bench. breathing deeply he thought about his father, how proud he would be of him to have been to see that he was helping the proffesor.
