Were you ever in a car accident? I had one 5 years ago when my Mom was taking me to my Aunt's house for her to babysit me :'(

Twice.

One I went to the hospital to get stitched for when I was nine. I was coming home with my grandmother and someone sped right into the back of the car, forcing us into oncoming traffic. We were then hit by two vehicles, and the second time an oncoming vehicle hit us my head smashed right through the windshield. I spent the night in hospital as a result.

The one prior occurred with my father when I was three, so I can't recollect that.

Yep. Our family was on a vacation in Florida, and my, my older brother, and my dad decided to go to the grocery store. My mom and my little brother were at the hotel. So we were in the turn lane about to turn into the parking lot, when this drunk lady came speeding down the rode and smacked us dead on from the rear. Well luckily we all decided to sit in the from of the car since there was the driver seat, the passenger seat, and the middle. The back of the car was squished in so really there was no back seat anymore, and we were pushed up like 20 or 30 feet forward. But we were ok, thank goodness.

Only minor ones, thankfully. The first time was some time after I first got my driver's permit, and while I could drive, I still wasn't the best at it - I ended up stalling out at a light when trying to start moving again, and a logging truck wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of the car. :x No one was hurt, thankfully, considering that we were all going like 5 miles an hour at the most...though it ended up scaring me quite a bit.

Then there was the time, years later, when I was in a friend's car, and some other person ended up hitting the side of the car as we were turning, since she assumed we weren't going to turn as well. Meh. Again, no damage to us, as it was a turn from a stop sign.

Twice.

Once was when I was little an my dad was rear-ended. Non injurys or anything, just a high mechanic's bill.

The other was a considerably more recent event involving me hitting a curb and driving on it for a good ways and almost hitting a light post. Again, there was no injury, but the cost of fixing the front end was steep.

Twice, too.

1: When I was 2. Don't remember what happened, that was 9 years ago. XD.
2: When I was 8/9 (can't remember). It was a few days after the last day of 3rd Grade. It was maroon car. My mom hit a stop sign. When the police came, my cousin (he was like 12 or 13 that day) had to use my just-bought bionicles to explain what happened. LOL. It was so funny. The accident happened after my cousin and sister went to go to my sister's best friend's party. My sister called everyone at the party. They came. Except for one. It was so cool. But yeah, the left light in the front was all messed up. Man, I'll never forget that very day.

in a way...the first one is normal, but the second,.....prepare to laugh in dis-belief....

1.I dunno what happened, but when I was in my brothers car(he was driving)the wheel jerked right for some reason, and we ended up in a tree....happily,no damage toward us!!!but I feel sorry for the squerel though....:(

2.ok.....I was crossing the street, when a guy was drunk, talking to a girl in the car from what I saw, wasn't paying attention to me when he turned....I wanted to be stupid.....he wasn't going fast, and it was coming towards me,so I ran at it,and ran across it..I fell and rolled over, but suprisingly, nothing was dameged.....sure,my ankle hurt for weeks because I landed on it,but it wasn't sprained..and my soldier hurt when I rolled(I rolled as soon as I got to the ground)it wasn't broken,or nothen, but hurt for weeks...when the guy came out of the car to see if I was alright,I flicked him of,laughed, and walked home...I told my mom I fell out of a tree, she took me to the hospital to check my body,...no damage whatsoever...so no one knows except me...and I'm assuming the guy forgot, since he was STUMBLING drunk...........so....sounds dumb huh?...

Yeah, I've been in one. I only had my permit and was driving alone on an icy gravel road. Not a smart combination. I hit the ice and skidded, freaked out, and over-corrected. I ended up in the ditch. I didn't have any gloves or a warm coat, and my cell didn't get very good reception. I was walking around aimlessly for about a half hour with nothing by a sweatshirt and tennis shoes to keep me warm looking for service on my cell. There were no houses around. I was so scared. Luckilly, I managed to get a single ring through to my house, Mom guessed it was me, and she and my Dad came out to get me. It was one of the scariest nights of my life. Luckilly, neither myself nor the car was damaged in the slightest.

I've been in a couple minor ones. One involving bumping into the back of a truck, and the other one involving running into a fence. No one got hurt, but both did minor damage to the cars.

Luckily I was the passenger both times. XD

Yea, but I don't remember that...I was two when that happened. But mommy says that I pulled out the phone jack from the wall, so when you guys tried to call us, it didn't come through. XD!

I've never been in one, but my dad was in one not to long ago.

He had just dropped my three little brothers off at my sisters house, and he was driving down her street to leave. He was reaching for his sunglasses when he started going off the road and hit a mail box.
He totaled his car, from hitting a mail box. But this mail box was bricks stacked up like normal, but the in side was filled with cement and more random bricks.
Supposedly people have hit the guys mail box before and just drove off, so he filled it with cement and random bricks. ¬_¬

Yeah, well a car accident can turn that into 99/100 past your life.

I've never been in a serious accident. Nope. Just a jab at the bumper, a scratch to the door. Nothing ever serious enough to admit the car to a local dentist. A friend once told me that everybody is either bound to be involved in a serious car accident or get bitten by a dog and that one of the two will happen in everybody's life time.

... I've never been bitten by a dog ...

^ Good job. Yeah being in a car accident is no fun, believe me.

I got into a major one. I was driving along. And all of the sudden my engine acting up on me and then my transmission. My car was going so slow and I didn't know where I was. I was driving and I didn't see the stop sign in the fork of the road and I collided into a 1979 Volkswagon Beetle that was coming onto traffic. And my car went over the side. The back driver's side got pretty bang up. And the Beetle...it lost some tailights and a mirror and it had a big dent.

Man...it was so scary! Luckly I and the guy wasn't hurt. But I ended up with a ticket for running over the stop sign. My parents weren't too happy about what happened. But they were relieved I was alive. A month later...I got sued by the guy I hit! Can you believe that?! I couldn't! He was fine! Fine I tell you! Man, well I had to settle it out of court. And my insurance company had to drop me and my parents too because I was in their policy. Yeah...so that is my story. It happened in August of 2000...the worst month and year of my life. I always been the safe driver, but nope. That dumb car! I wish it didn't act up.

But so far I been accident free for about three years now with my new car. ^_^

That's sounds pretty bad Lucy, but at least everybody turned out okay and yeah I can believe the guy would sue you after the accident. That's just how opportunists are. :\

I'm glad I've never experienced anything like you though.

The closest thing to a car wreck that I've ever experienced was when I was sitting in a car in a parking lot, and this big SUV accidentally backed into the front of it. I was by myself, totally off in my own little world drawing, so it really freaked me out for a minute! Thankfully, since the car was going really slow no damage was caused, and the lady who was driving was very nice and apologized about it, so everything turned out fine.

However, my grandmother was in a really, really bad car wreck when I was little. It was just a miracle that she ended up surviving--she had a really bad head injury and it took her a long time to recover from it. She couldn't even speak for several months because of the damage. My mom and I were living in Hawaii at the time, and we moved back here to be with her and the rest of the family. I don't remember any of it, but it had to have been very scary for everyone.

Thankfully, though, she recovered and is perfectly normal now! She still has a few problems (She can't hear quite as well, and it didn't help her athritis) but overall she's fine. We're just so glad that she's alive now. ^_^

Oh yeah, and one of my cousins has also been in a couple of wrecks. One time, the car actually rolled over, so it must have been scary! He was still okay, though. Hopefully, no one else in my family will ever be in another wreck like that... I know that they're all very safe drivers, but you never know what can happen.

Yes. If I recall correctly, it was in June 1996, and there was a terrible downpour in NY. ;_; My mom forgot to press the brakes, or something (details are blurry), and the car completely flipped over once, violently thrusting me forwards, damaging my right eye and sporting a couple of bruises. I remember crying in the rain, thinking we were dead, or something. XD; Ah, thankfully there were no permanent marks, but it did increase my fear of cars. Plus, I missed nearly 3/4 of the school year. o.o

I was in a car accident about ten years ago. We were going down a highway when a drunk driver hit my dad's car. Luckily, he swerved out of the way, so it was only a fender-bender for us, but then the drunk driver sped off the road. My dad called the police, but I don't remember what happened after that.

Yeah I was in one, it was pretty violent too. We were heading to my cousins house and we were on the highway. So we were heading over there and everything seems fine but then we started swerving everywhere and the car flipped three times and landed upside down. The tire had popped.

No, thankfully I haven't. I've been in the car behind where it's happened though. It's pretty scary and I hope that I don't have to encounter one during my life.

Last month, I got into my third one. XD. Well...I wouldn't call it an accident..Ok my dad and uncle were drunk, so my dad had to drive us home (yeah I know, terrible). My dad got "lost" because he thinks I set the wrong address to the map thing (the ones where you place on the front window in the car), he drove around the same place like five times. I started to cry because I thought we'd never make it. Then, he drove around the same place, but then he drove to someone's driveway...ok. He was backing up, but he backed up to far and on the back of our BMW, it was dented because he backed up to someone elses car! My dad and uncle were laughing, but I weren't. It was the worst night of my life...

I've been in two car accidents, but none of them were serious... X_x; The first one was when I was about 8 years old, me and my dad were coming back from shopping, it was getting pretty dark and it was slippery on the roads because it had rained not that long ago , we came up to a round about and some guy went to go around the roundabout and nearly hit us, my dad dodged it by turning the steering wheel really quickly but we ended up going into a post >.<; It was a good thing no one was hurt, I banged my head on the front seat a little bit but it did no more damage than a headache.

The second one was when I had just left my previous school (The actual day I left <_<;) We were on our way home and the traffic lights turned red so my dad stopped, while we were waiting a postal van came behind us but he didn't see what he was doing since he was looking for something (I saw him on one of the car mirrors...) And he went straight into us, my mum had whiplash from it. The only good thing about that accident was that we were just outside of my mums solicitors, so we recieved compensation for the damage, also my dad got £1,000 from the car company he got his car from.

Three times I think. One of them had the car totaled that we had to get a new one.

One: My mom wasn't feeling well when she picked me up from middle school with the old 1992 Toyota Camery(sp?). This was like 2 years ago I think. So the driver that crashed in said that my mom turned the corner too quickly and so we crashed into a red fence. And it was in our street too. The drivers side was so damaged that my mom had to get out of the passenger's side to get out. Thankfully, the glass didn't cut us. While we were waiting for someone to help us, I waved to my childhood friend who was in a car with her mom. Yeah I know..that was stupid. >.< So yeah, I got a bone bruise from the incident, but it healed. ^^

Two: Well I was minding my own business while playing my GBA and then something happened with three cars(Including ours) and that's all I remember from it. ^^;;; Yesh number 2 ish blurry to me right now.

Three: The most recent last year. We were just driving out of a pizza place when my mom slammed the breaks which surprised me. I was listening to my Ipod at the time, Yu Yu Hakusho music playing. ^^;; I dunno what happened after that since I stayed in the car and listened to my Ipod. And once again I wave at my friends who didn't wave back and didn't notice me. >.< I'm stupid. We had a couple witnesses and stuff..blah blah, only one of the headlight was damaged. The people said that the car we had(a Toyota Rav 4(sp?) ) was strong to withstand that.

March the 16th, this year. Fortunately, worst that happened was a lot of pain for a few days. oO; Worst thing? We were long way aways from our house, so we had to stay with someone we knew [that was okay] but I was homesick. xD;;;
