View Full Version : The Quest for Mew's Jewel

FullmetalxFangirl
July 16th, 2006, 12:51 AM
Long ago, all pokémon lived in harmony together. Pidgey and ekans would play together, and all elements would use their unique abilities to help each other. The legendaries of today were not elgendary, but as common as a caterpie. All pokémon were ruled over by one force - Mew. Mew held the powers of all the pokémon, and guided them wisely and carefully. Where were humans in all of this? No one knew until that fateful day ...

On that day, humans invaded the pokémons' paradise. Captivated by Mew, they followed it through forests, jungles and mountains. They lost it once, and never found it again.

When Mew disappeared, it is said that it blessed today's legendaries with small portions of its own power, in the hope that they would carry on its work. It also created an orb which held the power of each of the legendaries, as well as a jewel which was said to hold it's very soul.
If a man held an orb, the legendaries which were not bound by its power would be drawn to it, and take any means necessary to get it back ... even kill. But if that person held the Jewel ... they would have ultimate power over every legendary.

In the absence of Mew, humans saw an opportunity. They learned to harness pokémon and to capture them, and thereby enslave them. Many times they tried to capture the legendary pokémon, but every time they failed.

Today ...

The legendary pokémon are in more danger than ever. A cruel bounty-hunter, Raulf Scott, seeks to find the jewel for his own selfish needs. The legendaries sent out their message to fourteen humans in the form of a mark on their bodies. Those humans must find the orbs of their legendary partner and find the jewel. If they fail ... The world will cease to exist as we know it ...

There are only fourteen places because ... yeah. O.o

Scottura
July 29th, 2006, 10:18 AM
Name: Scottura Wyvern
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Legendary Partner: Rayquaza
Description: Around 5'8, with a bit of a toned body. His skin is slightly tanned from all the time he spends traveling. His eyes are a light brownish-red and his hair is the darkest black. His hair is a bit spiky but really messy. Around his neck is a gunmetal silver necklace or pendant in the shape of a crown. He has a scar coming from his right shoulder blade to his left rib on his back. His clothes are dark gray cargo-pants, black long-sleeve shirt with a dragon inprint on the back, black and red sneakers. On his hands are some black fingerless gloves.
Personality: Although he rarely admits it, Scottura is often quite withdrawn and introspective. He knows that there is a lot that he does not understand about himself, and this causes him to be irritable at times, and sometimes even to snap at friends. He changes for the better once he realizes that there are bigger problems than himself to deal with.
Background: Scott was an orphan roaming the forests of Lavander Town until an old lady took him in and looked after him. He got his fear of water when he went to close to the water trying to catch a Magikarp, and fell in. He was saved by his first friend Houndour. He stayed with Houndour's pack and became one of them, until the old lady found him and took him away from them. She was kind to Scott, letting him go out and play everyday with his pack family.
Other: Scott has a fear of water.
Roleplay Sample: The wind was cold and strong, raindrops started falling from the sky. A dark lone figure was running in the forest, trying to find shelter for the night.

"How did it get so c-cold" the figure thought searching through all the forest. The figure finally found a house that looked warm and cosy, it had lights on the porch to illuminate the area near it. The figure approached the porch, the figure's face was illuminated by the lights. The figure was a male with light brownish-red eyes and hair that blends in with the darkest shadows. He was soaking wet, and as he made his way to the door all of his body was illuminated. He was shaking from the coldness of the air and rain, he knocked on the door hoping that someone was kind enough to take him in from the cold. The boy did have a name, that he knew very well, Scott Wyvern...

Oh, I've got a question... are we allowed to have pokemon of our own? There's no section for it. ^^

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm being stupid. =P

Name: Hiroko Asakaki

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Legendary Partner: Articuno =3

Pokemon Team:

Princess Cupcake (Skitty)- This Skitty was her mother's pokemon pet. Upon Hiroko leaving, her mother tells the Skitty to go with her daughter. Selfish, pompous, and self-preening, Princess Cupcake is everything that Hiroko hates. The girl can't wait to catch a pokemon of her own.

Description: Somewhat tall compared to other girls her age, Hiroko can sometimes be intimidating. Her long, black hair doesn't help this tallness any, only making her look longer. The black color of her hair is a little strange though, and almost seems to have a blue tint to it. Her eyes are an icy light blue, and they're usually seen in a scowl. Her skin is rather pale, and the mark on her body is on her thigh, just above the back of her knee. It's in the shape of a cluster of crystals, and is light blue. For clothing she usually wears a dark purple pleated skirt and a lavender top. She brings a dark blue backpack when she travels. Her shoes are black, non-heeled dress shoes.

Personality: Hiroko is a down-to-business person. She rarely deals with trivial things and small talk, and therefore she sometimes intimidates others. She's focused and narrow-minded, so she misses a lot of the good things about life. What she needs the most is someone to show her that life is about more. However, most people give up after she shoots them down. She can be cold and unfeeling about others' feelings, and this usually leaves her with little to no friends. However, she isn't really very cruel, she just doesn't seem to understand why everyone has to be so darned happy.

Background: Hiroko grew up in a very wealthy house that had three children. She was the middle child. Never the oldest and only the baby for a little while, Hiroko's a bit ignored now. She feels left out, and is at a point in her life where she feels as if no one truly understands her. However, she's not one to wallow in self-pity or withdraw into herself, she just takes it in stride. Her two sisters are adored by her parents, and she's extremely jealous of them. They're also quite popular with others and sickeningly kind to others.

Other: Nothing! XD

RP Sample:

"Oh Mother! It is simply stunning!" said the voice of Hiroko's self-preening, super-polite older sister. She was standing in her flowery, pink dress and was looking at the painting their mother had just bought with nothing short of excitement.

Hiroko eyed the painting with her icy scowl, frowning. The painting was off a decorated Rapidash, dressed up with gaudy jewels and expensive, extremely ugly cloths.

"It looks ugly. The Rapidash needs to be put out of its misery."

"Hiroko! Oh Mother, please don't listen to her, it's fabulous, really!" her older sister said urgently, afraid that Hiroko's words would upset their mother. Her fears were groundless though, as the woman turned to Hiroko with a smile.

She was a portly woman, her face happy and her clothing quite wealthy looking. She opened her mouth and out came a sweet voice to match her eldest daughter's. "Oh Hiroko, your comments are a scream dearie," she said, turning back to the painting, "I think it's lovely too."

"Ugh...!" Hiroko grunted, turning around and leaving, "It was a mistake to think that Mother could pick out a decent pokemon picture. A BIG mistake." She walked briskly down the hallway and back into her large room. She hated being rich, being smothered by all of this wealth and clothing and presents and things. She sometimes wished she were poor, with nothing and nothing to eat. Such a life would at least be something more than lying around all day knitting for pleasure and patting dainty pokemon like the family's Skitty. That horrid cat made her sick everytime she looked at it and it was always hanging around.

It was time for a change, and anything would be more welcome than this.

Name: Rio Sangre
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Legendary Partner: Suicune
Pokemon: Absol, Castform, Sandslash, Xatu
Description: Rio's most outstanding characteristic is the sharp crimson of his eyes--stark in contrast to the light blue hair that hangs in front of them and frames his face. Causing his long hair to seem shorter, Rio's hair is tied up in a fishtail style with a silver double clasp bearing the image of Suicune's running form. The shade of Rio's skin has been described as pale by some and dark by others, but more truly dwells somewhere between the two. Rio's height is relatively average, though his general build is rather lean and compact. About Rio's neck rests a solidly transparent spiked collar accompanied by a simple silver chain necklace. Hanging from the necklace is a pendant resembling the shining north star. Rio's shirt is white and sleeveless, though hooded and with a zipper down the front. Rio's oddly-contrasting black cargo pants are held firmly by a thick, black belt with a silver buckle. On Rio's left cheek are painted two thin, black stripes, while a single black hoop earring hangs from his right ear. A black, fingerless glove is pulled over Rio's left hand. His right wrist and forearm bear a fine, silver chain wrapped several times about them. About Rio's upper right arm is tied a piece of cloth to cover the symbol granted him by Suicune. From Rio's left hip hangs a black haversack to carry his belongings.
Personality: Even when he was young, Rio was known for his seriousness and maturity, though many consider him to be too serious. Though generally calm and patient, Rio is highly task-oriented and may become frusturated with himself if he feels unable to accomplish his goal. While his usual objectiveness causes him to be a fair judge of others, he often feels awkward when placed in a social situation himself. If one can see or break past Rio's outer shell, they may discover that he is warmer than he makes himself seem--though they may also find colder aspects of him that he prefers to hide. Unsure how to express himself normally, any feelings of care or friendliness Rio experiences are often evinced as a form of protectiveness. Because of his lack of apparent reaction to most situations, Rio appears to be continually numb or somehow sedated.
Background: Rio never knew his original parents, but has never seemed to regret it either. Rather, he was passed from foster home to foster home--most of which treated him kindly enough and each of which he appreciated. For unknown reasons, however, it seemed that some form of disaster would be visited upon whatever family Rio was given to. Whether disease, social problems, finances, or even death, terrible events followed Rio wherever he went. After an entire family was killed in a car accident, with Rio being the only survivor, the boy finally ran away to avoid causing trouble for anyone else. Rio gave himself the last name, "Sangre"--meaning "blood"--due to the pain and bloodshed he felt that he brought. The different pieces of jewelry Rio wears each come from one of the families he was given to, though he did not obtain an item from every family.
Other: Rio has an unusually high tolerance of the cold. Unfortunately, however, this is balanced by his minimal tolerance of warm weather.
Roleplay Sample:

Snow fell from the sky, already beginning to cover the site of the terrible event that had recently occurred. Still on its side, a car lay beside a now-bent light pole. The car hood was open and deformed from the impact, while the engine was almost torn fully in half. Red streaks were painted across the pavement, mingling with dark soot and pale snow. Black marks stretched up the sides of the destroyed car, signaling the fire that had been extinguished only moments ago. Men and women in uniforms rushed about the scene--several redirecting traffic, others carrying medical equipment, and some treating people they already knew to be beyond hope of saving.

As the sound of an approaching siren broke the general murmur that filled the area, everyone turned their heads. "The ambulance is here!" someone called. No one bothered to note who spoke, but nonetheless the white medical vehicle rounded the corner seconds later. A policeman turned and motioned toward several medical personnel to prepare one of the victims for transport to the hospital. Lifting a stretcher that bore a young girl, the workers nodded, waiting for the amublance to come to a stop.

Several yards away, a voice murmured, "What about him?" They motioned toward a blue-haired male who lay motionless upon the ground. A flat line and equally flat tone came from the electrocardiogram attached to him. Meanwhile, a doctor worked dilgently with a defibrillator, attempting to revive the youth. A slight shake of the head was given in response to the inquiry. "He's beyond our reach."

Suddenly, as though to defy the man's statement, a single beep broke the still air. Seconds later came a second beep. Heads turned toward the electrocardiogram, surprised faces directed toward the machine that once proclaimed death and now proclaimed life. Amidst the subdued commotion, none noticed the symbol that had emblazoned itself upon the male's upper right arm.

Snow fell from the sky.

EDIT: I added my Pokemon. Since someone else already had an Absol, I was hesitant to give my character one. But, with Absol being the "Disaster Pokemon," it was too fitting for him. ^-^;; Sorry . . .

This RPG is in dire need of some characters that are actually happy. XD

Name: Luna Gadget

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Legendary Partner: Lugia

Pokemon Team:

Furai- Shiny Flygon, Male
Niklas- Eevee, Male
Cecil- Quilava, Male
Zaffira- Absol, Female

Description: Luna stands at about five foot two, and has a thin physique with just the slight hint of muscle, indicating that she is a girl of average strength. She has long, navy blue hair that flows down in waves, ending around midback. Her thin bangs cut off just above her light gray eyes, which seem to hold a spark of determination. Set before those eyes are a pair of thin, black wire rimmed glasses with huge circular lenses. Overall... she looks quite goofy. Nerdy, perhaps, but in a pretty way (not hot, not beautiful, not cutesy innocent... just pretty).

Her creamy white skin is covered by a white t-shirt, which has a thick, light blue stripe surrounded by two thinner stripes going around her shirt in the chest area. Smack in the middle of these stripes is a medium sized, light blue star. Her jeans are a dark blue, inching just a shade lighter than the color of her hair. Beyond these are a pair of white socks and black, laceless sneakers. On her back is a bookbag carrying the essentials for travel, including a plain sort of jacket for traveling in cold areas.

Contrary to popular belief, her voice is not high-pitched, nor is it squeaky. Her voice is only slightly higher pitched than that of a normal girl her age, and has a soft, melodic ring to it. As for her special marking, well it's not all that special looking. Just a small feather shaped marking, silver in color, situated on her right shoulder. It can easily be passed off as a rather plain looking tattoo.

Personality: Luna is one of those people that, at no matter what age, you could imagine her as the silly person that says "Oooh, what does this button do?" and consequently blows up half of Europe. Now, this isn't to say that she is stupid, she's just overly curious, and has a tendency to not think before she acts. She's got this crazy sort of happiness that would probably annoy people who can see life for what it really is. She tends to be overly optimistic about everything, and her naivety seems to override any fears she might have. For example, if she caught a burglar snooping around her home, the first thing she'd do is offer said burglar some tea. And cookies. In anycase, her happy way of thinking and bright, simplistic outlook on life can make her appear to be very childish, though on occasion she will spurt out random words of wisdom that make people wonder just what exactly she's thinking in that strange mind of hers.

Background: Luna grew up with the strong, unbreakable belief that her great great great great great great grandfather, Henry Gadget, had indeed invented the gadget. Now, it is unknown to her what exactly the gadget was, or even how it was put to use, but the idea was there. Of course, her friends were far and few as most children in Lavender town seemed unwilling to believe that someone as important as the inventor of gadgets could be related to such an odd person as Luna. This did little to discourage Luna, however, and her life continued normally. Nothing tragic has happened to her, no killed parents, no angst, no events that would bring on a sudden onslaught of tears should she be reminded of them... just a normal girl. With a special marking.

Other: Vanilla Soup

Roleplay Sample: Can be our character's intro, but doesn't have to be...? 'Cause I'll just take a sample from another RPG then...

"Yes, and the Pokemon Center should be just around this corner here..."

The strange, blue haired girl rubbed her head in frustration as she again came to a turn that did not contain the Pokemon Center on the other side. The young Eevee let out an exasperated sigh, closing his blue eyes and shaking his head. He looked up at her with an expression that clearly doubted any skills she might have within that brain of hers. She caught the stare and grinned at him nonchalantly.

"Don't you worry Niklas, I totally know where we are," Luna chuckled while taking another glance at the street signs, "It's only, uh, two blocks thisaway!"

The odd girl took off again, Niklas easily keeping up. After all, this was beginning to get to be like a daily routine. Everyday they would head out to the Pokemon Center after training near the bridge. And every single day she would pretend to get lost so that she wouldn't have to arrive home early. She also claimed it was her way of teaching the little Eevee about the town, in case he should ever get separated from her. Really, he viewed this whole activity as rather useless, but Luna had lots of spark as a trainer that told him the times would be rough but good. Niklas was knocked out of his thoughts by the sudden stop of his trainer; her stop had caused him to bump into her from behind. He looked up at her with a mixture of anger and confusion, but she simply smiled at him.

"Aw, I'm sorry Niklas. Hey, ya know what? I think it's just about time we left this town... We've been training here long enough right?" she questioned, and the Eevee just looked at her with an expression that said 'finally!' "But as a test to see if we're ready... Well, see this street sign?"

Niklas looked up, glancing at the street sign but being unable to read it. He at least memorized what the characters sort of looked like, and gave her a curt nod.

"Get a good look bud, you recognize this area any?"

The Eevee seemed to get a little annoyed at this, wondering what she was going on about. Still, he looked around, and vaguely remembered this part of town, if only just. The ice cream stand stood out most; he remembered beind treated to the best poke-food and chocolate sundae of his young life at that place. He smiled up at her, then did a little hopskip of impatience. Just what was she getting at?

"It's good that you remember," she grinned, folding her hands behind her head, "This is a memory test for you, the final training before we leave Lavender. We've been playing memory in this town for a good month or so, right? So... you gotta lead the way to the Pokemon Center. This time I follow you, partner."

Niklas looked at her like she was crazy, but at the same time saw this as her sort of way of letting him know that they were equals. Taking the leading position, he stopped for a moment to gather his bearings, turned a couple times, then headed off to the west. Luna followed from behind, stopping when he needed to stop and pointing out roads that certainly weren't good shortcuts. It took a good thirty minutes, but they reached the Pokemon Center without any major problems (though Luna did have a rather nasty bruise on the head from a territorial Pidgey whose nest Niklas accidentally upset).

Niklas couldn't help but feel pleased with himself as the two stepped inside, shivering upon the instant cold feeling of a building whose air conditioning had been on all day. Luna requested a simple sandwhich and some pokefood for her friend from the local Nurse Joy, who had little to do at the moment and was happy to get food for the few trainers that came to Lavender Town. Upon receiving thier meals, Luna picked out a little booth near the door and sat down. She placed the bowl of food on the floor for Niklas, who immediately began wolfing it down like there was no tomorrow.

"Now, we need to map out our next destination. Attempting to get to Cerulean is out of the question," At this the Eevee looked up at her in confusion, she noted his look and replied, "Do you really wanna brave the Dark Tunnel just yet? It's scary and full of blood sucking Zubat an' we wouldn't stand a chance against the strong rock types..."

Niklas huffed at this, the determined yet hurt look on his face showing that he really thought he could take on anything if he wanted to. Luna only scruffled the top of his head and shrugged at him.

"Heh, I don't doubt your skills. It's just a place I want to save for when we have a more organized team, huh?" He seemed to accept this for an answer, so she continued on, "We could follow the coast to Fuschia, or travel through Saffron down to Vermillion... Now that I think about it, we could go through Saffron to Cerulean as well. Bah, this is so confusing. I have no idea which direction I want to go in..." she muttered, averting her gaze from the map under her elbows to her male companion on the floor, who was eating his pokefood like he didn't have a care in the world.

Put in Pokemon Team.

(using an old one if you dont mind)

Shou walked down the streets of the small town. Humans and other creatures were scurrying about their business. Selling their items. Shouts of Bargains entered his ears. But Shou continued on. He was not interested in foolish items. He was a Demon. Of human appearance, yes, and he was always like that. He needed not lesser nutrients. His white Cloak and hood appeared not to be touched by the dirt and filth of the street. His face was soft in appearance and comforting. He seemed kind enough, his baritone voice kindly refusing all the offers handed to him. Thanking the shop keepers for their kindness and all.

Then, a small child ran into Shou and fell over. Shou kneeled down to pick the child from the street floor. The smile and soft features were still on his face. But the eyes had changed tone into a darker, crueler, colder yet the eyes burning with rage. The Childs happy face turned to that of horror and ran off like he had seen a ghost.

The villagers looked oddly at Shou, and Shou took his hood off of his head, his face was back to normal, kind and comforting. The villagers seeing the face saw nothing wrong, and thus came to the conclusion that the child had probably imagined something. Life returned to normal.

For the moment, he will allow the lesser filth to run free in the lands of Ordek. But soon, Shou will claim his true title, Kurayami no Shou, so as to declare dominance over the living and the dead alike. Control the past and the present and thus dominate the Future with the choking alliance of Darkness and Fire.

Mike is not a muscle kind of person and can be called weak by some.
Personality: MIke is an honest man who is kind and nice. He likes to help people when he see it needed. He can be called weird because he tends to stare out into space at strange moments. He likes to be kept busy at all times and can be seen moving some part of his body at all times. He likes to be a bit funny at times but knows his limits in jokes.

He is very determine to get anything done and wants to see things to the end. His want to finish things can bring out Mike's ugly side at times.
Background: Mike was raised on Cinnabar Island which explains his dark colored skin. He grew up watching gym battles of the local gym leader Blaine which inspire him to raise a powerful fire type pokemon. Mike dreams of owning a powerful charizard after a battle that Blaine had against a charizard and his trainer. His family were all pokemon trainer but they were strong too so he feels as if he must up live that.

Also if we are to have pokemon then I guess you want them here.

MIke's pokemon: Charizard, Dragonair, Beedrill, Medicham and Onix

Roleplay Sample:

MIke was on the ferry heading for Pallet Town. He was heading for Pallet Town to begin his pokemon journey in Kanto. He has many things he want to do on this journey as in getting a charmander and battling at gyms. Hopefully after he defeats the gym leaders and the Elite Four in Kanto he will be able to move on to test his power in other regions as in Hoenn. He smiled as he thought about this as the ferry sailed north.

He then made his way to a chair on the ferry and sat down on it. He then saw a girl walked by and instantly he knew her from Cinnabar Island. He wonder what she doing here thought Mike. She had bright red hair, baggy blue jeans and a black top. He seen her often around the Cinnabar Island Gym. Now he wonders what brings her out to Pallet Town. He decided to talk to her, "Hey. What are you doing here?"

The girl looked at him and said, "Do I know you?"

Mike shook his head and said, "I not sure. I have seen you around the Cinnabar Island Gym, mostly when it is closed. I just want to know your name."

THe girl smiled and said, "Oh. You don't know me? How can't you?"

Mike was silence and shook his head to say no.

The girl smiled and said, "Well I am Flannery, the leader of the Lavaridge Pokemon Gym in Hoenn."

Mike was awestruck to be this close to a gym leader from another region. He closed his month and said, "Oh. That is cool. Still why do you come to Cinnabar all the time?"

Flannery smiled and said, "Oh. Well only to train with Blaine. He is a master on fire type pokemon so I just go there every so often to battle with him."

Mike nodded and said, "Are you just as strong?"

Flannery laugh and said, "I like you kid." SHe slapped him on the back and tried to stand up straight, She then said, "How about once you make it to the Hoenn region and battle me. THen I show you if I am just as strong." She then walked off to a cabin.

Mike smiled and yelled, "Ok. I make sure" Now he had another reason to get a charmander. He needed to prove that he is a strong trainer with a strong fire pokemon in order to beat other fire users like Flannery and Blaine.

Name: Maia Landers
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Legendary Partner: Moltres
Description: Maia stands around five feet, three inches tall. Her skin is tanned from spending large amounts of time in sunlight. Her eyes are a pure shade of blue, and covered by a pair of glasses. Maia grows her flame-red hair to waist level, and has bangs over her forehead to cover up the Moltres-shaped birthmark there.

Maia has three outfits that she wears most of the time. Her first outfit is her old Team Rocket uniform. It consists of a sleeveless white shirt with a large, red letter 'R' on it that ends above her navel; a white mini-skirt; and black boots and gloves. Her second outfit is composed of a black T-shirt, blue denim shorts, and white socks and sneakers. Her third outfit has a more formal look that she dislikes wearing unless she needs to. This outfit consists
Personality: Despite her somewhat fearsome appearence, Maia is actually quite calm and peaceful. She is kind and respectful, though a little selfish and greedy at times. She is intelligent and a very competent Pokemon trainer. In battle, she prefers a tactical strategy rather than an all-out offensive; she will often soften her opponent's Pokemon up by hindering potential and causing status ailments. She is not too fond of the Moltres-shaped mark on her forehead, and keeps it covered up by her hair.
Background: Though Maia does not completely understand everything, Mew's existance affected her life. Her father was one of the Team Rocket scientists who found the strand of Mew's hair deep in the jungle and brought it to New Island, where he died in the great explosion. Raised by her mother ever since that day, she longed to learn what happened to her father. Though Maia was reluctant to join Team Rocket once she left home to become a Pokemon Trainer, and commit to a life of crime, she knew that would be the only way to discover the truth behind the fate of the scientists on New Island.

While searching through her base one day, she found an incomplete video of what went on that day, and began to piece together the rest of the story. Learning the truth now caused her to despise Team Rocket with a passion, so she resigned from the organization the very next day, somehow managing to keep her uniform. After leaving Team Rocket, she made researching about the birthmark on her forehead her next mission as a Pokemon Trainer. Until she was sixteen, she found very few clues to the mark's significance, but a letter she received from Professor Oak suddenly caused Maia to begin to understand.
Pokemon: Charizard, Umbreon, Lickitung, Weedle
Other: None
Roleplay Sample:

Maia had been living at her old home in Vermilion City with her mother for about a month now. She had almost given up on researching her birthmark after three years of traveling the world and studying. With nothing left to do now, she returned to the house where she grew up. She had asked her mother about the mark several times, but all she was told was that it was on her forehead from the moment she was born. Maia had realized that the mark had some connection to the legendary fire bird Pokemon that it resembled, but that was all that she knew. She could find no more information on it anywhere in the world. However, that suddenly changed.

"This came in the mail today. It's addressed to you," Maia's mother shouted into the girl's father's former office. Maia emerged from the room and took the envelope from her mother's hand. "It's from Professor Oak," she commented, reading the return adress. "What could he possibly want with me?"

"Open it, honey. That's the only way you'll find out," her mother responded jokingly.

Maia opened the envelope and read the letter inside:

Dear Maia Landers,

Our planet is in terrible danger. You, along with thirteen other chosen ones bear the mark of a legendary Pokemon on your bodies. Each of these Pokemon has an orb that must be retrieved to stop an evil man from obtaining Mew's Jewel. You may not understand some of this, but I shall explain the rest once you arrive. You must come to Pallet town as soon as you possibly can.

Sincerely,
Professor Samuel Oak

It sounded like it was bogus. However, Maia had nothing else to believe. She jumped up, excited and dashed outside to the backyard of the house as she yelled "Bye, Mom!" Her three Pokemon were playing there. She quickly recalled the Lickitung and Umbreon into their Pokeballs, but left Charizard. The girl jumped onto the Pokemon's back and said, "We need to get to Pallet Town ASAP. It's time to fly!"

With that, the fire Pokemon began to flap his wings and take off into the sky, heading west.

Full name: Maya Nelson

Gender: Female

Age: 13

Ethnicity: Sootopolis-ian (O.o)

Legendary Partner: Ho-oh

Pokémon Team: Pidgeot, Octillery, Ursaring, Magcargo, Plusle, Kadabra

Personality: Maya is very happy and optimistic. She is a real ‘let’s talk about me’ person, and is happy to accept anyone and everyone. While her life isn’t always idealistic, she remains convinced that things will get better. However, she can also be quite hard on herself, and tends to get embarassed very easily.

Appearance: Maya is of average height for her age, standing at around 5’4”. Her skin has a slight olive-ish hue, due to living her whole life in the warm climate of Sootopolis. Her eyes are a very pale amber, and give her a slightly spooky appearance. Her hair is long and black, and is tied into two plaits that hang down to just above her waist. She wears a black tube top with a white jacket over the top, and denim jeans. She also wears a pair of white trainers with blue markings along the upper.

History: From an early age, Maya showed signs of dyslexia, a disorder that made it difficult for her to read, write and spell. Because of this, she was often shunned by her classmates. Despite this, she remained optimistic, and persisted with her schoolwork. While she found it hard to read questions, she did her best to show how intelligent she could be when asked orally. Because she had to remember what was said, she also developed an excellent memory.
At the age of ten, Maya first noticed a strange mark on her shoulder - a white, bird like mark with a red outline flecked with yellow. She thought nothing of it, and dismissed it as a birthmark that had just shown up late. She showed no one else, but upon recieving her first pokémon, professor Birch caught a glimpse of it, and told her not to tell anyone, and that he would stay in touch.
Just recently, not long after her thirteenth birthday, she recieved a letter from the good professor.

Dear Maya

I hope you don't mind that I told professor Oak about that mark on your shoulder - he is somewhat of an expert in the area in which I believe it is concerned. My suspiscions were correct, and I believe that if you look at it now, if you haven't already, you will notice something strange about it.

Sure enough, when Maya rolled up her sleeve, it was different - still mostly white and flecked with orange, but the outline no longer remained red, oh, no. It was flashing different colours - the seven colours of the rainbow.

This is, according to professor Oak, the mark of Ho-oh. It confirms his belief that the legendary pokémon are in trouble.
He has told me that you, along with thirteen others, have been marked by said legendaries. I don't know a lot about it myself, but professor Oak requested that you meet him at his lab in Pallet Town.

Best wishes
~Professor Birch

In the depths of the forest, a large waterfall thundered down upon the mirror-like surface of a lake. Many rocks and boulders dotted the lake's surface, each bathed in a misty glow. Rimmed with oaks and elms. it was a stunning view.

A girl of fifteen with strawberry blonde hair stood by the lake, painting. Her brush fell in graceful strokes down the page, dancing over the white canvas. The girl looked up at her subject occasionally, her eyes a deep emerald-green. Her hair billowed out behind her, each firey strand spangled with light. She wore a neat dress with a blue top and white skirts, and a silver chain around her neck. Embedded within the silver charm that hung from it was a dark sapphire that glinted whenever she moved. Taking a step back to admire the painting, she smiled sweetly and gave the thumbs-up to her subject.

The recipient of the signal was another fifteen year-old girl. She had long, flowing hair of silvery blonde which whipped about her with the force of the waterfall. Emerald-green optics shone brightly, though they were filled with an enternal sadness and wisdom. Haloed in mist, she was truly magnificent. She wore only the bottom half of a bikini for purposes of the painting, and she gave a sigh of relief as she was given the all-clear to move. Stretching herself out, she dived gracefully into the water, hair flying out behind her. Barely a splash was made as she broke the calm surface of the water. She swam as gracefully as if she were flying back to shore, and stood with a toss of her hair and put on a black, sleeveless top. She gasped as she saw the painting and traced over the details with a slender finger.

The colours were perfect and subtle, capturing the true essence of the girl. It depicted the waterfall crashing down upon the beautiful girl, the mist encircling her slender frame. She was perched upon a rock, bright eyes gazing sadly out to the edge of the canvas. The girl gave the painter a clap on the back. "Nice one, Ember," she said in a somewhat harmonious tone. The artist smiled and said softly, "Thanks, Lena." Her voice was sweet and melodic, clear as a bell. They clasped hands and said in unison, "Sisters? Sisters!"

He knocks, and Oak comes to the door. Kai steps in and sits down, panting from running to the lab. "What's wrong?" Oak asked him. "Professor, what can you tell me about this?" he said, showing the professor his arms. "Oh my... no... it couldn't be..." Oak stammered, walking over to a bookshelf. He pulls a thick bound book off of the shelf and then proceeds by blowing dust off of it. He opens the book and starts to skim through it. "Ah, yes here it is." he said. Kai walks over to Oak. "What?" he asked, clueless about what is going on. "Well..." Oak goes on and tells the story of Mew, and what would happen if the world were in a certain amount of danger once again. "So... I'm?" Kai asked, still absorbing all the information. "Yes. You are one of the chosen 14 people to help save the world." Oak answered him.

Gender: Female
Age: 16
Legendary Partner: Kyogre

Auror- Castform- Female
Kinde- Absol- Male
Cotrin- Lunatone- Male
Nenelis- Espeon- Female
Rerilid- Starmie- Undiscrimnated
Agate- Wigglytuff- Female

Description: Enkel stands short at 5'4, being the income of many jokes when it comes to 'trees', her narrow, thin body makes you wonder how she could live in those kind of conditions, her pale contrast of her skin is accented by her stiches of freckles on every cheek, below her emerald gaze. Enkel's auburn colored hair flows down to her shoulders covering her cerulean cascading rain drop in a small ripple, it's her 'scar' or mark of the legend. Enkel wears an ivory collar top with acyrlic jet black marking shaped in a magic circle, Enkel wears a fuchsia tie with crescent moons accenting in the night sky. As pants, Enkel wears denim cargos accented with a sterling chain belt used to keep it on. Enkel wears jet adidas with a numerous amount of rocks stuck in the shoes. Enkel wears a lustrious silver pendent with a sapphire raindrop resembeling to mark behind her neck.

Personality: Enkel is curious about everything in life and what her purpose is, to have fun. Enkel seems optimistic about life and is always on the good side of things. She seems a bit flirty with the guys, falling in "fast love" with almost every cute guy, but later is heart broken because they have already found love with their soulmate. Enkel is a bit clumsy and doesn't notice any cracks in the sidewalk but still goes on with her life, if she can live from another clumsy trip. She's different because, she's a total crybaby, when someone is being cold to her of physically hurts her she may go off in a temper tantrum and the effect is that, well her friends are used to it they don't do a thing and walk away. But Enkel seems pretty good about life, if she sees something bad, she just goes on with her life. When Enkel doesn't get her way she goes into a temper tantrum, depending on the cause of the arguement. But when it comes to adventure, Enkel loves going to exotic places in different countries, but won't know what hit her if she just went by a 'secret' way

Background: Enkel is a simple trainer and her background isn't nearly as complex as most others. She grew up in a loving, great home, but unlike most people, her life had nothing to do with Pokemon. Her father had deemed Pokemon "unfit" for ladies, and thus put an end to both his wifes journey, and nor did he let Enkel start her own. She lived behind books, reading up on these strange creatures, but she dare not let her father catch her reading such material. When she was young she noticed the cascading mark behind her neck, but assuming it was just something that will go away.

When recieveing the letter from the Proffessor she wondered what her mark meant and set out to her journey. With stolen books from the local library, her thirst for Pokemon was quenched...With his death, however, Enkel has set out to begin her journey to find the meaning with her mother's Pokemon...even if she is betraying her father.

Roleplay Sample:
I was on the road to Nowhere when I came upon a sign that read 'dead end'.

Even now I don't see how that situation made any sense at all. If I was traveling on this road, I had constructed a destination of some sort; even if it was merely walking three feet past where I started. So Nowhere actually lead me somewhere. Also, being that I was apparently aimlessly wandering with no target, however, both you and I know that is a lie now, my road to Nowhere could not have a dead end...for it never had a beginning.

Either way, I found myself wandering down this particular road and I went ahead and ignored the sign. About forty-six miles into my journey, there was a gap. It was a point where ther was merely nothing, and no one; but yet again I could see the road past it. I reached out to see what I could touch within this empty space, lifeless as it seemed. Empty. But instead of feeling "nothing", considering it was nothing so feeling nothing would be what one would expect, a little boy took my hand, giggled, and said to me, "What are you doing all by yourself? Come with me."

With nothing holding me back, I followed him. He took me into a room where the clocks had stopped, and with them, had time as well. There were three chairs and a fountain. How we got there I still don't know, but at this point I was used to the uncertainty and fancied I shouldn't percieve any of this as normal, or at least an acceptable definition of normal. While I was in this room, I noticed each chair was exactly the same; each had three identical legs and one that was very different. Most people wouldn't have noticed this because this odd leg was upside down, and since chair legs don't talk back or look at you, more than likely it goes unnoticed by ordinary people because we tend to only acknowledge what will acknowledge us back.

As for the fountain, it just seemed to float over to the right side of the room. By floating, I do mean that it looked like it was lost out in space with no regard for gravity or any other laws of physics. This interested me, so I skipped over to it and held my hand out. Yet, I could not feel the water; though through it I could see it quite clearly. Returning my attention to the three chairs and realizing the boy and I were the only two in this lonely room, I asked my friend whom the third chair was for. He told me that he would be coming soon in a yellow ray of light that would indeed seem blinding. So the little boy and I danced in circles singing as loud as we could until four hours and nineteen minutes passed by on the clocks that never told time.

He told me that the third visitor was here. I looked around but could not see him, I looked in all directions, but I could still not find him. Finally, I turned around and there You were, as perfect as he said you would be, glowing in your light that could only be seen by me; because it was out of the ordinary, and I had become quite accustomed to seeing and understanding such things. The little boy tugged at my shirt and said with a smile, "Look. Now you're not alone anymore..."

OOC: My, this is a popular RP. Why not? I'll try it out!

Heee, I like this prison charrie. *shot*

Name: Vallewida (Valleh-wiida) Houh
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Legendary Partner: Registeel
Pokémon Team:
Steelix (M- Xing ((Zing)))
Skarmory (M- Xeon ((Zee-on)))
Magneton (M-Xice ((Zay-sce)))
Metang (M- Xora ((Zor-a)))
Aggron (M- Xevil ((Zeh-vill)))
Scizor (M-Xlice ((Zlice)))
Alakazam (M- Xero ((Zero)))

Description: An unnaturally tall person for his age, his 6'5'' height is extremely odd, and makes him stick out like a sore thumb, perhaps even more then his disheveled appearance. His long silver hair is unruly, mused slightly, and hangs limp and boring on his shoulders. Vallewida's narrow and cold hard eyes are also silver in color, making his pale skin seem paler then it really is. He has a constantly cold glare etched into his face and eyes, that seems to never go away. A black skin tight turtle neck that is slightly too long for him on his waist covers his torso, and over it, is a battered and torn threadbare jacket. On his chest, neck, and back are numerous scars, that remind him of the whip and knife he was under at the prison he attended for a year. A pair of long black pants, that barely drag on the ground corver his long thin legs, and a pair of plain black dress shoes protect his feet from the floor. Embedded onto the back of his right palm is a black tattoo that carries the symbol of his prison, slightly concealed by long complicated tendrils of black tattoo that reach the base of each fingernail. This tattoo is to warn people of past deeds, and that Vallewida, though discharged, may still be a potential danger. On the other hand is the mark of Registeel, and he covers both hands with black skin tight gloves that seem to mold with his shirt.
A sort of base example for his appearance (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/Kaiyoseila/Vall.png)

Personality: Vallewida is a cold and ruthless person, violent in general and very aggressive. He was is extremely defensive when talked to, but is otherwise virtually silent to everyone. He is rather uninformed when it comes to working with others as a team, and believes that loyalty and friendship is an illusion that is eventually doomed to end. He's self-conceited and rude, pessimistic and selfish. Vallewida has a high pride in himself, and pities almost everyone he meets for not thinking the way he does. Though he has the inevitable ability to give the cold shoulder to anyone he meets, he can easily converse with someone, even people who he thouraghly dislikes. All in all, he's an odd person, and isn't lightly accepted by many. His outlook on life is rather depressing, believing that love is an illusion created by the mind when someone obsesses over another, and that fate is mere the outcome of choices made by the victim, instead of magical things that can't be put into beings. For this reason, he seems to be under the impression that the only person that matters in the world is himself, and often unintentionally talks down to others. His way of speech is usually very formal, although the way he addresses others is not formal, polite, or in any way special at all.

Background: Locked in an abusive prison for a year, Vallewida turned silent and sullen in the dank and damp place, where the cells were all single for the murderous and insane inmates around him. Charged on account of failed attempt at murder of his father, who refused to hand the family business down to him, he was bailed from the prison within the year by a distraught mother. Vallewida forgot the family company, and returned to his pokemon, all of which were just as silent and dull as himself. He was bailed from jail at the age of 19, imprisoned on his birthday of 18. He spent four months vigorously training his pokemon, to vent his annoyance and anger, and form himself a new life, instead of bringing upon himself another few years of prison. His family, rich and prestigious, have suffered no sorrows before himself, the black sheep of the family.

[b]Other: Vallewida gets extremely hostile whenever 'prison' or 'cell' or 'jail' is brought up in a conversation.

Roleplay Sample: On a large silvery gray pile of boulders in the middle of what seemed like nowhere, I wondered how I'd landed myself in this desolate place. I remembered hitching a ride on Xora, letting his psychic energy carry me out here, and I remember doing a lot of training with Xing, crushing and knocking out most of the local donphan. I could feel the light spray of the waterfall to my left, the light caws of the forest to my right. The boulders beneath me began to shift, and Xing rearranged himself into a more comfortable position, taking me with him. Xora was currently under the beating waterfall, trying to see if he could reverse the flow with his psychic energy- a test. He would have to evolve first, and currently, I had no plans of raising another Metang for his evolution. Xero watched him struggle and gave a sigh, pitying the pokemon's weak psychic power as compared to his own. Xero's eyes always held a sort of faraway look, and the rare words he gave were usually, 'I'm thinking'. I'd heard a rumor that Alakazam's, with their vast memory and IQ, remembered everything that has happened in the world, but keep silent. I thought it might be interesting, to remember things not of your lifetime.

Find a talkative Alakazam and spill the secrets of the world, I suppose. Xing reached over to the waterfall, and let a good portion of the water fall into his mouth, enough to stop most of the water from flowing down onto Xora. I remembered that I was supposed to go see Professor Oak for one reason or the other. The last time I'd seen him was when he gave me my charmander, my first pokemon. I had released that pokemon long ago. It didn't seem like one who was bent on captivity. I doubted anybody would be able to capture it, as the charizard it was. Very headstrong, hard to tame, barely even listened to me! And ask any one of my pokemon lounging around the waterfall, I was a tough trainer, tough and brutal. That was probably what had driven Xora to try and reverse the flow. To impress me perhaps? Gain my respect? I wondered if Professor Oak knew that I'd been in prison. Huh, probably not. Otherwise, he wouldn't have tried to retie contact with me. Nobody would, but what with my tattoo covered, and not many people knowing of the representative tattoo in the first place, not many people ever figured out that I'd been imprisoned.

I wondered if my pokemon even knew. I had an inkling that Xero had told them every last detail, but I never said anything about it. Snapping my fingers Xing's large form shifted, and disappeared in a blaze of red light. Levitating the two of us to a safe landing on the solid ground, Xero stared at me, before I snapped my fingers twice. Xora removed himself from underneath the waterfall, and Xlice, Xeon, Xevil, and Xice all disappeared in another flash of red laser. Xero continued to stare at me, until he, too, melted into his pokeball. Xora psychically removed all droplets of water on his being, and landed so I could easily seat myself on his flat surface. Then, with even more psychic power, he sped the two of us out of the trees, and onward to see Professor Oak. I wondered what he would say, the silver haired boy who was once mischevious and eccentric turned into a boring young man with the thought pattern of a serious and ancient man.

Description: She stands about five foot four, which makes her look small and unthreatening but all the more stealthy. She is slender, and graceful, yet durable and strong. Long, dark brown hair flows past her shoulder and reaches the middle of her back. Placed atop her head is a red and black hat, which is usually seen on backwards. She wears a red t-shirt with the words 'Rock Angel' written across it. A black and red striped tie sits loosly around her neck and over her chest. Hidden beneth the tie is her favorite necklace that simply has a small, black music note attatched to thread and placed about her neck. Her pants are simple, neat, and plain black. She has three belts that she wears; one is tight, just above her waist. This belt has her Pokeballs hanging from it. Another belt has a snake scale pattern to it (Seviper), and the last belt has a white background with a red, zigzaging line all the way around (Zangoose). Her sneakers are very simple, black and white and look a bit beat up. Located on her right shoulder is a sparkly, yellow, spikey ball which has no spikes exactly the same as another.

Personality: Erin is a fun-loving, kind, and careful soul, always trying to make others laugh or smile. She trys to be polite and respect anyone she meets, no matter how cold they are. But, Erin must admit that she, too, has a bit of a cold side. If insulted, or sticking up for someone else, she can become very intimidating. When angry or frustrated, she most of the time stalks off to be by herself, rarely letting her anger out on others. When serious, she becomes a leader to anyone that is willing to listen. Even though she may be kind and caring her trust is hard to obtain, but once captured she can become fiercely loyal as a friend. She would willingly give her life for a good friend.

Background: Erin lived just outside of Lilycove City on a farm which is now broken down and worn. She is still in the process of thinking of what to do with this land, as nothing but rubble lays in the huge clearing of forest. You see, when Erin was around eight or nine, she was walking home from the beach, a basket full fo shells. When she came up to the main house, it was engulfed in flames. Her parents were trapped beneth the burning wood and they ordered her to run as the other buildings were slowly following after the main house. Erin stumbbled her way through the woods, but was soon stopped by a large figure in a trench coat. A large hand grabbed her up by the collar, but out of nowhere a silvery Eevee took a bite at it's hand, making it flee. The Eevee is now known as Moonlight, her Shiny Umbreon. Erin was also top in her Pokemon class, and she was not a popular smarty like anyone would think. Since she had no friends, she spent her time studying and reading, or out in the woods, observing wild Pokemon.

Other: No remaining family.

Erin smiled at the clever girl as Erin took her hand. "All I need you to do is trust me. No matter how out of hand my actions seem, I want you to stay put in the place I ask you to stay in." Erin explained in a whisper.

Erin lead Mimi behind a thick rack while nether the Rocket or the cashier were looking. "Okay, just stay here for me." Erin instructed and took out a Pokeball. Silently she let out her Pokemon, Webster. "Okay, Webster, I want you to climb onto the ceiling above the Rocket and wait for my cue." Erin ordered.

Webster replied with a quiet "Ahrr." and scaled up the wall and onto the ceiling. Once in position, Erin quietly snuck up behind the Rocket. The cashier was to much in a panic for words. Erin recoiled her arm and sent her fist bashing into the Rocket's head, causing him to fall to the ground. Erin stepped on his wrist which hand hand the gun in it. Erin leaded down and pried it from his fingers.

Once Erin had the gun, she took a few steps back. "Webster, String Shot!" Erin ordered. Webster reacted quickly and wrapped the Rocket in a cocoon of web, only leaving his head open. Erin then proceeded to jump over the counter and take the microphone that could be heard through-out the building.

"Everyone, you are in danger! Get out of this building before you are all attacked by Team Rocket, Magma, and Aqua!! Get out, and get to safety!!" Erin yelled. The cashier jumpped over the counter and down the stairs as the two downstairs ran out as well. The elevator passed down, and could be heard opening at the bottom level. Many foot steps could be heard rushing out of the building. "All clear, Mimi, you can come out when you want." Erin said, seating herself on the counter.

"Now, for those cameras..." Erin said, taking another Pokeball off her belt. "Levitate, go!" She said as she threw the Pokeball. She caught it as it came back to her and a large Claydol appeared floating mid-air. "Levitate, please distory every camera in this building using Psybeam." Erin instructed.

Levitate went to work by guiding it's 'hands' about the ceiling of the current floor. Once it located the camera Levitate would distory it with a colorful beam. Once clear, Levitate floated to the lower level to clear those cameras. Once those were clear, he would float up to the next level and so on.

"I'll get out of this!!" The Rocket shouted. "Maybe Webster can use String Shot on your mouth.." Erin stated as Webster jumpped down from the ceiling, turning completly over mid-air and landed on the floor. "N-n-no!! I hate spiders!!" He screamed, wiggling in his cocoon. "Webster, stand guard over him." Erin said, jumpping off the counter and to a rack to grab stuff off of. Webster literally stood over the Rocket in the String Shot cocoon.

KNOCK KNOCK! KNOCK KNOCK! went the rapping of the front door of a small two-story home.
"Yes. Hold on for a moment please." A mother, who has aged past 35 yet, answered behind the door. Quickly undoing the locks and slowly opening the door, she peered at the young man standing in front of her.
"Hey. I'm back." The boy said. The mother looked astonished and happy at the same time, hugged the boy with a few tears streaming down her face.
"Oh Yukinari. You're back. I'm so glad." The mother weeped. She clung onto the boy even tighter.
"Ah. Please don't clinge too much, Mom... It's good to be back." Yukinari said as he returned his mother's hug and then both pulled away. "Where's Yokomi?" He asked peering around looking for his younger sister. A girl about 9 years old turned past the living room corner and stopped dead in her tracks. "Big... brother?" came the innocent girl's voice. Yukinari opened his arms and the little girl ran towards him.
"Hey Yokomi. How've you been?" He asked patting her head. "Very Fine!!!" She said beeming with happiness. Yokomi loosened her grip on her brother's shirt and backed from the hug while grinning. Yukinari's mother approached Yukinari and handed him a message on a sheet of paper. "This is from the Professor. He wants you to meet him right away. And you had just came back too. Hmph. Now you're going off on another journey." She said with a bit of disappointment.
"Haha. Don't worry. I'll be back." Yukinari encouraged his mother, gave both her and Yokomi a hug and left for Professor Oak's lab on the hill a few houses down the street.
"Wonder what's so urgent that I have to come right away?" Yukinari wondered to himself.

In Sootopolis City, it was raining. Water pounded against the bedroom window of young Maya Nelson, who was sitting on the window ledge, trying to read.
"Once ... once ... once upon ... once upon a ... time? Once upon a time!" she cried out triumphantly, clenching her fists and punching the air. Over the last few years, her dyslexia had grown steadily worse.
Falling silent again, Maya took the time to listen to the raindrops tap-tapping on her window. Her mind wandered to the letter she had recieved from Professor Birch not so long ago. The rain was still heavy - she couldn't go just yet. Or could she? This downpour reminded her of the incident four years ago with groudon and kyogre - the sun had not shone for numerous days, and thunder storms wreaked havoc upon her city. Could it be that the legendaries really were in danger? Would it be in everyone's best interests if she were to go, and help sort this out?
Her parents were not home - they had gone out to buy groceries, and thought it safer to leave their daughter in the safety of their home. They were probably right, but meh. Maya didn't care much about what they thought of her safety - she could take care of herself. She had pokémon, after all.
Rushing out to the living area, Maya scribbled a note down on a piece of paper with obscenely messy handwriting and atrocious spelling.

Deer mum and dad it read.
I hav decided to go and vist profesor Oak in Palet Town. I'l be bac in a fue mnths. Dont wurry aboot me - I'l be fyn.

Luv you both
Maya

Stepping back to admire her work, she placed it on the bench so they would read it when they got home.
More than a little nervous, Maya ran back to her bedroom to grab the belt that held her pokémon and wrapped it around her waist. It would be good to be travelling again, but Maya would miss her home as well. But the fate of the world could be in her hands, so after a few moments of mental preparation, she put a hand on the doorknob and turned. She found she had to put a lot of pressure on the door to make it move - the rain and wind was very heavy. She would have to go underwater this time, and she cursed inwardly for not having worn something a little more water-friendly.
Unfortunately for Maya, her house was at the very top of Sootopolis. While there was a great view, it was hard to get around to the other side of the city. Through the mist, she could just make out the mantine shuttle that went across every hour - her parents were probably on that, so she would have to hurry.
Raising an arm to shield her eyes from the rain, Maya hurried carefully down the steps. It occured to her then that she should have probably worn something warmer - she was only wearing a black tube top with a white jacket over the top, three-quarter length jeans and a pair of sneakers. Not quite wet-weather gear.
Finally, Maya reached the water. The mantine shuttle was getting closer. "Come on out, Octillery!" she cried, tossing one of her pokéballs with a flourish.
The red, octopus-like pokémon cried out loudly as it landed in the water, then used its tentacles to lift Maya onto its back. It didn't need a command - it just dipped straight underwater, seeming to almost fly.
Maya knew as she went that she couldn't expect her pokémon to take her all the way to Kanto - once she hit Lillycove, she could take the SS Tidal to Olivine City, and then take the Magnet train in Goldenrod City to Saffron City, from whence she could fly to Pallet Town.
No problem for a dyslexic.
Not a problem at all.

MIke was Surfing on his Dragonair away from Sootopolis City after his victory there. He was proud of his pokemon hard work in the last pokemon battle against the water gym leader. He was able to prove to that guy that a fire type can take on any water type if used smartly. His charizard frough bravely against him but he also knew that the victory was also gained by his other pokemon like Dragonair and Medicham.

Mike getting wet and he didn't like it. He knew he should have waited for the storm to clam down but his urge for another battle was to strong to ignore. He then yelled to Dragonair for she could hear him, "Lets look for a place to stay or something. It getting a bit too wet for my taste."

The rain came down in sheets making vision hard for Mike and his dragonair. Still he went on and knew that his pokemon could handle this kind of weather. He place huge sunglasses on in hoping that it would keep the rain out of his eyes. Mike was glad it did but making it hard to see. His jacket was wet but it was keeping his clothes dry. Mike then thought he saw a little girl riding an Octillery.

Mike then said, "Ok. I must be going crazy. I thought I just saw a little girl out in this weather."

Rio dashed down the side of a rocky slope, his expression oddly passive for one who was being chased by an angry Skarmory. Digging his heels into the dust and gravel, the trainer finally came to a halt on a stone ledge. Even as he halted, Rio made a sharp turn into the entrance of a tunnel that stood a few feet away. In a single movement, Rio whirled toward the tunnel entrance, snatched a Pokeball from his belt, and released the Pokemon contained within. Still calm and seemingly indifferent toward his situation, Rio commanded, "Castform, Flamethrower."

Swooping down toward the cave entrance in an effort to capture its prey, the wild Skarmory was instantly met with a blast of fire. Not waiting for the steel bird to recover itself, Rio continued to gaze steadily past his little weather Pokemon as he simply stated, "Once more." The Skarmory was again consumed in a burst of flame. Screeching its discontent, the injured Pokemon winged its way up toward its nest, its cries echoing off the mountainside.

Waiting until the Skarmory could no longer be heard, Rio made his way to the cave entrance and glanced toward the mountain peak. I suppose it's my fault for not knowing that Skarmory nest in this area . . . Still, with a little rest, it should be alright. Turning toward his Castform, Rio flicked a Pokeball into the air. "Thank you, Castform. Return." A smile upon its grey and white features, the weather Pokemon vanished into its Pokeball. Snatching the sphere from the air, Rio wordlessly minimized it and replaced it on his belt. Lifting his gaze to the valley the stretched out before a him, the trainer brushed a strand of pale blue hair away from his scarlet eyes. It appears I still have some distance to travel before nightfall, particularly if I want reach Pallet Town tomorrow as I had planned.

Rio fingered his earring thoughtfully, running his thumb along the object's smooth, dark edge. That being the case, tonight I will continue traveling. If I am sufficiently near a town I have been to before, then Xatu can take me there if necessary. Truthfully, though, I would prefer to walk . . . As Rio's right arm lowered itself away from his earring, his left hand lightly touched the cloth bound a little beneath his right shoulder. If I can reach Pallet Town tomorrow, then perhaps I may finally have my answers.

OOC: Yay! We're starting! Erm, pokespeak in {}. ^^;

Hiroko
---------------

"I hate you."

{The feeling is mutual, Servant.}

The girl who had spoken about her hatred didn't understand what the pokemon had said. She had never been close to that horrid pink cat, and she never wanted to be. She brushed a leaf off of her purple skirt, and continued staring ahead with her usual scowl on. Even if the cat was with her, she was still free, still away from her dysfunctional family and its stiffling atmosphere. Her sisters and mother loved being rich and popular, but Hiroko certainly didn't.

A shriek errupted from beside the girl. {Eeew! What have I stepped in! Servant! Servant I require a sanitized napkin!} the small, pink pokemon said to Hiroko in a shrill voice. She held out her paw as if it were unusable now that it had been stained.

"What?" Hiroko said in an annoyed voice as she stared at the delicate paw, "I don't get it Cat. If you have an issue about walking in the forest, tough, because I don't care about leaving you." The girl swung her long, black hair over her shoulder and took off at a quickened pace.

{Why I never! My name is Princess Cupcake and don't you forget it! I do not go by the name 'Cat'!} the Skitty said in her shrill voice, clearly astonished by the girl's disregard for etiquitte. She had half a mind to slash at the girl's face in anger, but she never would of course, for that would be barbaric and detremental to her manicure.

The cat continued, despite her paw, for even though she dispised Hiroko, she knew the girl. In the wild, there were all sorts of horrid things and pokemon, and at least Hiroko wouldn't misstreat her. Right?

Hiroko glanced behind her to see Cupcake herself and shook her head. "Dang, I thought she'd leave," she said with a sigh. That cat was the last thing that reminded her of her family; she'd be happy to be rid of it. It was strange though, her sisters were nothing short of ecstatic when they found out that she was leaving, but her mother... she actually seemed a bit... sad. It really had an effect on Hiroko, especially when her mother had decided to give her prized Skitty to her. Princess Cupcake was horrid, but seeing the little cat trot behind her did give her an odd feeling of comfort. Comfort?! No, it couldn't be that! Hiroko shook her head, thinking that she had better get to Professor Oak soon, before she went completely bonkers.

They were close now, somewhere near Viridian. Perhaps by the time they reached the city it would stop raining. It had let up a bit, which had made both of the travelers happy, but sprinkles were beginning again.

{Oh what is the hurry?!} the pink cat wailed, having difficulty climbing over some rocks, {They wouldn't start the meeting without me!}

Hiroko didn't need to understand that; she knew it must have been something painfully pompous.

"We'd better hurry, the rain is starting again," Hiroko said, "Or would you prefer the rain?"

The Skitty leapt over the rocks, darting past Hiroko, {Don't just stand there Servant! Get moving! You're a human, use those spindly legs!}

It was starting to rain. Maia was forced to land Charizard and recall him since he would not do well in the rain. She would have to walk the rest of the way to Pallet Town. At least she had landed in Viridian Forest, near the gatehouse on the Viridian City side. However, she would have to tackle just one more obstacle before she could reach Pallet Town.

Just as she was about to enter the gatehouse and leave the forest, a Weedle jumped out of a bush and blocked her path to the gatehouse. "Fine. I'll just take care of you before I go through," she mumbled, unclipping another Pokeball from her belt. She tossed it in the air, releasing a Lickitung in a flash of white light. "We'll end this quickly. Just use Stomp on the thing."

The pink Pokemon ran forward and slammed his foot down on the bug Pokemon. Somehow, she just barely managed to hold on to conciousness, even after being attacked by a Pokemon of much higher level. "You're a tough little critter," Maia commented. She unclipped an empty Great Ball from her belt. "I think I'll add you to my team!"

The girl grasped the Ball firmly and thrusted her arm forward, sending the Great Ball flying towards the Weedle. It made contact, absorbing the Pokemon in a flash of red light. It began to shake, the warning light glaring a bright red. For nearly a minute, the Ball continued to roll around. For such a small Pokemon, this Weedle sure had a lot of vigor. Then the light finally extinguished; the Pokemon was caught. Maia picked the Ball up and clipped it to her belt. That didn't go exactly as she had originally planned, but there was no reason to complain about the outcome.

Maia was afraid the meeting might start without her. She needed some kind of plan to move quickly through Viridian City and Route 1. She didn't have any ridable Pokemon other than Charizard, whom she could not use because of the rain.... or did she? The girl released her Umbreon from her Pokeball. "Okay. Here's the plan. I'm going to grab your tail and you can drag me to Pallet Town. Ready... set... G... WHOOOAAAAAAH!!!"

The Umbreon dashed straight through the gatehouse, Maia holding on tightly to her tail for dear life. She was flailing around behind her Pokemon, constantly slamming into the ground. It was a little painful, but it was a fast method of transportation. At some point in the middle of Viridian City, however, she had to stop it. "Okay, Luna STOOOOP!!!," she screamed at the top of her lungs. The Umbreon tried to stop, but a girl and a Skitty crossed her path, forcing her to make a sharp turn to avoid them. She managed to get out of their way, but she tripped as a result, causing Maia to lose hold of her tail and go flying, landing a few feet away. "I think I broke something," she mumbled to herself jokingly. Most of her body hurt, but her only real injuries were a few minor cuts and bruises.

Luna, however, was furious. How dare that Skitty interrupt her! She ran over to the kitten Pokemon and opened her mouth, bearing two rows of sharp teeth. Umbreon growled at the Skitty angrily. {It's because of clumsy idiots like you that my Trainer had to get hurt. You go apologize to her or I'll bite your tail off!}

"No, leave the nice Skitty alone!," Maia yelled, managing to stand up. Luna just ignored her Trainer's orders and continued adresssing the girl's Skitty in a threatening manner.

Maya's octillery submerged under the cavern and past a submarine. It had proved for good exploring material when Maya had first got her octillery - it had been a remoraid back then.
Of course, Maya had to breathe, so the pokémon obliging swam to the surface to allow its trainer a breath of air. Maya was immediately pummeled by raindrops, and although the air was damp, it was still air. Relatively clean, breathable air.
"We've got about an hour before the SS Tidal leaves," Maya told her pokémon. She wasn't sure if it could hear her over the roar of the waves and storm, but it helped her to get her priorities in order.
"If we make good time, we can be in Pallet Town by about 1 am." Maya nearly died at what she was saying. She had checked the times earlier, but 1 am? She was hardly allowed to stay up until 10.
"Octchyaa," the octillery crooned, before dipping back under the water and setting off in the direction of Lilycove.

While walking down the dirt road that lead to Prof. Oak's lab, Yukiari kept wondering what was so urgent. "Hm.... Pokemon problems?..... can't be that..... hm..." He decided to wonder after he had reached the lab.

"PIDGEY!!!" "SPEAROW!!!!!!!!" Loud pokemon cries filled the air. Turning behind him facing the small forest, Yukinari saw spearows attacking a small group of pidgeys.

"Agh. They're at it again. Those spearows..." Yukinari said grabbing a pokeball on his belt and tossing it. "Let's go, Flame!" A large firey orange charizard appeared in a blinding white flash.

{Yawn.... What is it, Yukinari?} Flame asked wondering why he was set out.

"Remember those spearows attacking the small pidgeys by the forest entrance?" Yukinari asked Flame. Flame nodded. "Well.... They're up to no good again. Want to go teach them some manners?" Flame grinned a little and took off beating his mighty wings. The tiny flock of 5 pidgey were surrounded by a group of about two dozen spearow. Charizard took no longer than 2 minutes to reach the forest entrance where the pidgeys were being attacked.

"GO EASY ON THEM FLAME!!!" Yukinari shouted from his location which was about a mile away. Flame nodded with confirmance and light blew embers at the spearows causing them to run around in terror of the flaming fireballs. A few got charred and retreated back into the forest. The rest followed shortly after Flame shot a flamethrower straight up into the air causing even more fear of being burnt. The pidgeys chirped their appreciation and left. Flame with a grinning face took a 2 minute trip back to Yukinari's location.

"What's with the grinning face?" Yukinari asked as he began to grin along with Flame.
{Wha? Oh nothing. Hahaahha.} Yukinari knew Flame wasn't telling him something and would force the large charizard to reveal it later but he had pressing matters at the moment.
"Well let's hurry to the Professor's lab. He wants us to go over there immediately." Yukinari said starting off again towards the Professor Oak's lab.
{Yes, Yukinari.} Flame took airborne and followed Yukinari towards the lab.

As predicted, Maya finally arrived at the outskirts of Pallet Town by about 1 am. She was exhausted, as was her pidgeot, who had flown her from Saffron City to Pallet Town. The large pokémon had retreated back to its pokéball by now, and Maya walked alone down the path, kicking along stones as she went.

Pallet town wasn't huge, and before long, she could see the laboratory. It was much larger than Professor Birch's lab, and was made from bricks, rather than the new stuff they used in modern houses these days.
It was late, and Maya thought it rude to intrude on the professor while he was asleep, assuming he spent the night in the laboratory. If not, it would be locked, anyway. Too excited to sleep, but still tired, Maya settled for releasing her ursaring from its pokéball and standing close to it for warmth. The large pokémon growled deeply, but did not protest.

I'm going to use Light Azumarril's idea and use pokemon dialog in {} xD
-----
Enkel was trotting along the rim of Olivine City, such beauty filled the sea as the cascading waves fell upon her feet, she pulled out her letter from Proffessor Oak, and started to read in her mind, for the millionth time.

Dear Miss Tsukina,
I'd like to invite you to my laboratory to learn more about your 'scar', you are about to go on the adventure of your life, working together with your legendary partner and 13 others to stop and evil man with his plan to recieve Mew's jewel.
Best Regards, Proffessor Samuel Oak.

She read the words Miss, scar, adventure, partner, and legendary once again, then she crumpled the letter and threw it into the ocean, it's contents were only to Enkel as she watched the words drown over the silence of the ocean. She didn't want to go, but she had a purpose, and needed to fufill her meaning of life. "But how would I get there?" Enkel thought thinking outloud the silence was weak to the voice of Enkel. "Lets see, if I go to Goldenrod, and take the Underground Line and then somehow get to Pallet, I can get there on time" she said. "But I would some stuff, and what would Mum think of this?" with a prick worry in her voice.

{Momentie} Auror said as he floated over, though Auror was a pokemon, Enkel had a way of understanding him. "I know! I'll write a letter" she said happily jumping off to her humble home, she took out a puce pen with a scruffed covering and began to write.

Dear Mum,
I'm going to find my meaning of life, at Proffessor.. somethings lab, don bother to come after me, it's a journey only for me and my pokemon, you're a great mom and I have no regrets of you being an awesome. I know I'm betraying father, but isn't this what you wanted? Wasn't this your dream? I took some of your pokemon for use, my favorites.
With Best Love, Enkel.

She wrote in this graceful cursive, dotting little hearts on her I's. She took five labeled pokeball, and nested them, on her wrapped belt. She took one out, "Kinde, take me to Goldenrod City!" she commanded the velvet furred pokemon ran into the shining light as Enkel gazed at her home cerulean tears cascading down her eyes and into the brooding silence of the sepia dirt path. Auror was supposedly following her, refusing to be in his pokeball, dashed along the path, trying to keep up with Kinde.

When they reached Goldenrod, the cities were shining brightly in the morning sun, reflecting Enkels past as she sat upon the blazing Absol. When they came to a station with the sign "Underground Ground Line : To Saffron" Enkel knew she was there, leaving her home region, just to find her meaning in life, it..it seemed wrong. Leaving her mother, everything! {I finally caught up with you} Auror said as he faded near Enkel, as she was recalling Kinde. "Come On Auror" the girl said gloomily as the Castform followed her.

On the underground line, Enkel pretty much didn't do anything, she looked at her feet, as if she was their guardian, the whole took very much time for Enkel, and when she arrived in Saffron, she was tired, wanted to sleep, but she had no time. There, Enkel met a boy, he had a Pidgeot, rarely seen in Johto. "Excuse me.." Enkel said with a melodic pitch, "May I borrow your Pidgeot?" she asked, hoping to hitch a ride.

"Well, if it's f'you cutie, sure!" he said, now "Where d'ya need t'go" he spoke like Papa, and was a spitting image of him, trying not to tear up, Enkel at blazing speed said "Viridian" she said with a vast gasp of breath. "Pita, take this fine lady over to Viridian City" he said, the pokemon happily obeying, letting Auror and Enkel onto his back, and flew up into the teal colored sky. The view was beautiful as Auror and Enkel gazed into the venue that was Kanto, her emotions seemed to lighten up as they landed in Viridian. "Arigatou" Enkel said with a smile, watching the pokemon glide back to his companion.

Rain was falling. Enkel tipped out her rosy pink umbrella, "Doesn't matter, about the rain" she thought happily humming among the coast of Viridian City, Enkel's arm reached over to her auburn colored hair and touched the cerulean raindrop, it burned. She clenched her fists, there was more than meets the eye to her as she gently throwed a crimson and silver schemed pokeball, and out came a disaster pokemon, though graceful and beautiful. Absol, "Kinde, I think you'd do well in the rain" Enkel said as she hopped on to the pokemon and rode of into the sunlight.

She came to nowhere, it was a 'dead end', she stood obverse to the sterling, aluminum building, it was plaited with steel, with a pygmy amount of windows, lined in scanty rows, one by one. The door, the door was a different story, it seemed like a small door that could easily be infiltrated, but Enkel's prediction was wrong, the door was stuck tight, it seemed like a security door but the girl surprisingly opened it revealing a utopia of taintness.

OOC: Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stick with my <>. And, wait a second, Professor Birch? I thought we were in Pallet Town. =_= You just contradicted yourself in that post Fullmetal. xDD And, sorry I couldn't really decipher much of any of your guys' posts, so I'm going to assume that Enkel's in front of the lab, Kai's inside of it at the doorway, and Maya is sleeping in front of the lab. x_x;;

IC: <'We're almost there Vally.'> Xora told me as he hovered over the same path that we'd been following for the past billion hours. Unfortunately, Xora disliked flying high up into the air, and prefered staying closer to the ground, where he knew I wouldn't fall off. I highly doubt I would fall off, whether in the air or near the ground. I ran a hand through my silver hair and wondered if the lab still looked the way it did when I had last been here. Well, for one, it had been a good decade since I last stepped foot in Pallet Town, so I decided there had had to be some kind of renovation work and upgrades. It was quite the change though, as I had spent the last few years in Larousse, whilst this...town. It was still miniscule, and as I stared around at the small houses and family run shops, I told Xora to speed it up.

It was unsettling, being in a small town where everyone knew everyone else. I highly doubted anyone here would've learned of a failed murder attempt all the way in Sootopolis, but it was better safe then sorry. Besides, the stares I got were enough to annoy the living hell out of me. And trust me, there was quite the living hell inside of me. It didn't take too long for Xora to reach the white building in which I had stood before, shaking in my boots, ten years ago. Unfortunately, I now stood with arms folded, eyes bored and quite still. And unfortunately, it seemed I was not the only one whom Professor Oak had summoned.

The girl in front of me seemed to have no intentions of actually going inside just yet, and that girl with the ursaring didn't either. Therefore, I simply brushed past the annoying roadblock and somehow found myself face to face with a large and repulsive arcanine. Still donning my passive expression I simply walked to the side and found a hard rock underneath me before I hit the ground.

<'Hey there partner!'> Xora chuckled, <'Long time no see! That is, your butt.'>

I remained silent in the prescence of other people and humans, but I dearly wished I could say to Xora that he needed to shut up before I pulled that pretty silver x off of his face. So I simply folded my arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for a good time to wake up that Professor.

"Ah jeez. It sure is getting late. We better hurry before the Professor goes to sleep or something." Yukinari called up to Flame who glided gracefully in the air above him. Flame grinned at the fact and followed. A small drizzle had suddenly started to fall causing Flame to go berserk. He did mad spins to try to avoid any and all water droplets from reaching his tail flame, and blasted those, with his trusty flamethrower, that had the chance of bypassing his air acrobatics.

"Agh. You better return before u get badly soaked." Yukinari said reaching for Flame's pokeball and returning the large lizard. At that very moment, another flash had come from one of Yukinari's pokeball. The aftermath of the flash revealed a melodious Altaria hovering in the air.

{Ah! Rain! Oh the Rain!} Melody smiled with glee. Melody had a knack for rain and always did like the falling water droplets.

"Melody... Please save that after we get to the Professor's lab, okay? We're running late." Yukinari asked and shot another look at his watch. Melody hummed and nodded with agreement. Yukinari smiled back at the dragon pokemon and took a mad dash to the lab. It was a short sprint because Yukinari could see the small hill where the lab was at. He stopped short of the lab's stone steps and glanced a look behind him to see Melody following up.

{Ah. Huff... Yukinari... You don't have to... run so fast... You know I get tired easily...} The humming pokemon staggered a bit but kept itself airborne.
"Hahahaha... Sorry 'bout that. Want to go back inside your pokeball?" Yukinari asked.
{Not yet. I want to see the Professor before everyone else. Teehee.} Melody replied with more glee.
Yukinari and Melody climbed up the stone steps and came to the front entrance. There they both found an assortment of trainers outside waiting to go in.

----------------

"Well, there's Pallet Town," Hiroko said in a low voice, staring out of the forest's exit. They had stayed a short time in Viridian, but it was such a short distance away from Pallet, there really was no need to. The forest was easy enough to wander through and the only pokemon about in it were Pidgey, Spearow, Caterpie; those sorts of weak pokemon. Hiroko even thought she saw few Pikachu scampering about in the taller grass. She didn't want them though; they were too cutesy. This pink parasite beside her was only there because she was ordered to follow her. If it had been up to Hiroko, she would have just gone alone.

{Are... we... there... yet?!} came a huffing, exhausted voice from below Hiroko. The girl looked down to see a rather dirty, very un-Princessish looking Skitty.

"There is about a mile or so to go and then we'll be at the lab. Hope you can make it," Hiroko said, a smirk escaping her mouth. It was quite funny to see Princess Cupcake in this position. She was filthier than she had ever been, her beautifuly fluffy fur all messed up, and there was no doubt she was hating this.

{AAARRRGH! WHY ME?!} the Skitty yelled angrily, throwing herself to the ground. Hiroko took a step forward, she was not about to let the cat pokemon blow off steam in her ear.

Something stopped the girl in her tracks though, a fuzzy, brown projectile came hurtling from the sky and landed on the ground in front of her. Hiroko's icy eyes snapped onto the object, but all she could see was a mass of brown and cinged black feathers.

Princess Cupcake had noticed the brown thing too and had leapt up from her collapsed position with lightning fast reflexes. {Eeek!} she had screeched. Hiroko swore that the cat's screeching had been loud enough to make an Exploud cover its ears. The girl crouched as low as she dare in a skirt to get a better look at the thing on the ground before them.

{No!} hissed Cupcake, {Don't touch it! What if it has rabies?! Or Pokerus?!} She situated herself about ten feet away from them.

"Shut up Cat," Hiroko snapped, "This is my affair." She prodded the mass of feathers with her finger. This seemed to do the trick, for as soon as she poked it, the mass of feather moved and began to organize themselves into looking like a cinged Spearow. It shook a couple times, then blinked awkwardly at Hiroko. It was rather skinny and flighty in appearance, and Hiroko was not impressed by it. Once it noticed that Hiroko was a human in front of it, it leapt away from her, positioning itself closer to the dirty Cupcake.

{You! You were the one to attack us! You humans are always meddling in our business!} he accused, taking a rather brave stance for one so scrawny, {Now my flock has run off without me!}

Hiroko didn't know what the Spearow had said, but she did admire his bravery. How did the bird know that she wouldn't just bring out some powerful pokemon to knock it out.

{Eew! It wasn't us! We don't bother with riff-raff like you. So just go on, fly back to wherever your flock went,} Cupcake spoke up, hoping she could just get the filthy bird to fly off. His burnt stench was making her whiskers curl.

The Spearow turned to look at her. {I can't go back! Don't you see my wings? They're burnt too bad to fly; that's what I was trying to do when I fell!} he spat, getting angrier.

{Hmph! If you expect me to give out money as a charity, I will do nothing of the sort! You probably deserved to be burnt!} Cupcake said, putting on a wealthy, pompous look that seemed rather strange given the fact that she was very grimy right then.

The Spearow seemed a bit confused. {Money...? Charity? What are those?} he asked, feeling stupid.

Hiroko couldn't make out what was going on, but she knew that this Spearow needed some treatment. They could find some at Oak's lab no doubt, so if she could just persuade him to come along.... She had to do something, standing here was wasting time and Hiroko hated beating about the bush.

"Look I don't know what's happened here, but if you would like to be healed, then follow us," Hiroko said to the bird, "We're going to Oak's Lab, so I'm sure there will be something for you. He's always concerned about you wimpy pokemon." With that she turned and continued walking.

The Spearow turned to Cupcake. {H-huh? Will she really help me?} he asked, looking even more confused.

{I hope not, you smell awful,} Cupcake said in her superior voice, {And you're obviously the product of terrible breeding.} The pink cat brushed past the bird as she walked off to follow Hiroko.

Hesitating at first, the Spearow began to follow them. He caught up to Cupcake and remained silent, wondering if things would happen like Hiroko said. He didn't really have a choice though.

Soon enough, they reached Oak's lab. There were other trainers hanging around outside it, and Hiroko was not feeling great about this part. People were usually so unpredictable and stupid. This group didn't look any different on the outside.

{I- I am not the product of bad breeding, whatever that is,} the Spearow mumbled as he stood next to Cupcake. The pink Skitty sighed, and gave the bird a patronizing look.

{You're a wild pokemon, there's a possibility your father was not a pureblood Spearow you know,} she said in a fakely sweet voice.

This seemed to hit a sore spot for the Spearow. {What does that matter?!} he sqwaked loudly.

{You know,} Cupcake continued, finding his anger humorous, {Your feather color is quite light for a Spearow. Are you sure you are not part Pidgey?} She was kidding of course, though his feathers were a lighter shade of brown than regular Spearow.

{NO!} he sqwaked even louder, and this earned a warning from Hiroko.

"Shush! You're making a big deal of nothing!" she glared at Cupcake, "Quit bothering him Cat."

Princess Cupcake's smirk dissolved after Hiroko called her 'Cat' once again. {Ugh! Wrong, Servant!} she hissed, {I have half a mind to bite you! If I wasn't so pure and proper I would.}

Hiroko shook her head and approached the others.

Almost there. Pallet Town should be just a few miles from here. Rio paused in a field of tall grass, wiping rainwater from his brow as his breath transformed into vaporous clouds amidst the already-saturated night air. Then, using a hand to shield his eyes, the trainer tilted his gaze slightly skyward, attempting to detect any form of light that might indicate the current time. Only darkness could be seen, however, with sheets of icy precipitation pouring down out of the black. It's difficult to determine, but I think I've made better time than I thought I would. Rio's hand reached toward a Pokeball at his side before hesitating. Using Xatu would mean a sooner arrival at the laboratory and an escape from the rain. Being so close to his goal, however, Rio somehow felt unwilling to use the Pokemon. Aside from that, walking--or, in this particular situation, running--in the rain was an activity he had always enjoyed. Moving his hand away from his side, the trainer brushed several soaked strands of hair away from his eyes, hardening his resolve to continue.

As he attempted to steady his breathing, Rio began to make his way slowly through the tall grass, alert for any sounds that might indicate the presence of a wild Pokemon. The rain wasn't this heavy when I first entered the area . . . Since night fell, though, it seems the rain has only increased. Rio began to increase his pace. I'd prefer to arrive at the lab before I'm caught in a flood.

-------------------

Rio entered Pallet Town at a full run, his crimson eyes darting to and fro in search of Professor Oak's laboratory. Pallet Town is relatively small. And, considering the nature of the Professor's work, his is likely the largest building. The male halted suddenly, his face's impassive expression unchanging, while a slight flicker of recognition passed through his eyes. I've seen that place before . . . on a news report. That's the laboratory.

MIke was flying on his charizard now. He remember surfing along when he receive a message from an old friend or his. It was from Professor Oak from Pallet Town. The same old man that gave him his charmander that is now a charizard. The message that Mike received read:

Dear Mr. Anone,
I'd like to invite you to my laboratory to learn more about your 'scar', you are about to go on the adventure of your life, working together with your legendary partner and 13 others to stop and evil man with his plan to receive Mew's jewel.
Best Regards, Proffessor Samuel Oak.

Mike had no idea what was there to learn about his scar. He remember having it since he was little so it was nothing to him. He felt that this was disrupting his journey in Hoenn but it was Professor Oak so he couldn't denine a meeting from him. Still what he said about his LEgendary Partner made Mike question the reason for this meeting.

MIke looked down at the water that was below him and was glad that it wasn't raining anymore. They were flying over Cinnabar Island. Mike wished he could stop by there to visit his family but he had important business with Oak. He then said to his charizard, "What you think of this Char? Oak wants to talk about my birthmark."

Char looked at him and roar.

Mike laughed and said, "Yeah. He did showed a little interest in it when I mention it to him when I first receive you."

They could see the edge of Pallet Town from where they were. Soon they would land and meet the great Professor Oak.

OOC: And, wait a second, Professor Birch? I thought we were in Pallet Town. =_= You just contradicted yourself in that post Fullmetal. xDD

((Birch just informed her that Oak wanted to see her. xP))

Maya blinked her eyes open. The light was still dim, but time was different here in Kanto - it was probably around seven o'clock. Her ursaring growled softly as it was returned to its pokéball.
Maya groaned as her stomach protested at not having eaten for the last fifteen ours or so. "Urk ... I'm hungry ..." she said stupidly, wandering around to the front of the lab.
There were already a few people there - she assumed these were a few of the other thirteen people mentioned in the letter. A little shy about approaching these strange people, she stood quietly beside the gate of the lab, looking down at her feet.

MIke and his charizard landed on the edge of Pallet Town's city limits. Mike took a breath of the air and smiled. He could smell the mix of forest and seawater in the air. He then looked at Char and said, "Ok. Take a break Char. You deserve it." He then return his charizard back to its pokeball.

He walked around the city taking the same path he took as a young kid years before when he first began his journey. He really didn't want to do this but still he can't be rude. He just hope this was worth his time. Mike himself didn't really care about a birthmark he recieve as a young kid. It hasn't bother him before except how strange it looks.

Mike saw towards the lab. His green coat made a flapping noise as the wind blew. He saw a little girl and a few other people outside waiting. He guess Oak called these people here for the same reason. He then pulled out a sandwich and took a bite from it. He relize that it was the only thing he had to eat since he left the island.

OOC: Sorry for my lack of activity...im here now though!!

IC:

Dude, next time think, riding from Lavender Town to Pallet Town is never a good idea...Xaiver thought to himself as he rode slowly into town. I need to find somewhere to stop and rest. Xaiver spoke to himself as he hopped off his bike and walked it up a hill.

"This has been to long of a trip." He spoke out loud as he reached the top of the hill. "Ahhh, there's Professer Oaks lab." He spoke out loud again. "Another mile away! Ugh!" He grunted as he got back on his bike and headed down the road. So, there is something special about my mark. I wonder what it is...I dont know. I mean its wierd that it burns but still what does it mean? Xaiver thought as something hit his side and sent him spralling down the hill. When he got to the bottom he landed with a loud thud.

"What the heck was that!?!?!" Xaiver yelled as he rose to his feet. His eyes rose to the hill. It was a pokemon. It was in a shell. What the heck is that? Xaiver thought as he walked up the hill slowly. 10 feet, 5 feet, 2 feet. Then it popped out its shell.

"Squirtle!" It said as it ran up and jumped onto Xaiver's leg. Wide eyed, he stared at the creature for a while. Why is this thing on me? He thought as he pulled it from its leg and set it on the ground. "Get outa here!" He shouted at it as he turned to walk away. He got half way down the hill and thought to himself, It was kinda cute. I should have kept it.

"SQUIRTLE!!" He heard it agian and turned around. It was right there.
"Are you following me or something?" Xaiver asked the little creature. It stood there for a moment like it was thinking. Then all of a sudden it jumped on Xaiver's leg agian. "Alright, you can come with me!" He said as he lifted the creature to his sholder, grabbing his bike and hopping back on it.

Well, time to set back out, he thought to himself as he headed back
towards Pallet.

OOC: Zuu... erm, charizard_maa, all of us were outside of the lab except Kaishen's character. Just so you know. ^^;

EDIT: Too... many... Charizard! Actually, I got charizard_maa and Uzumaki's Charizard mixed up. XD

Hiroko
--------------

It seemed that the door was not open for them yet. However, as Hiroko began to wonder when the Professor would arrive, a boy walked over to the door of the lab with a Charizard in tow. Her eyes narrowed at him, sizing him up as an opponent. Charizard were hard to raise; he must have trained a lot. Hiroko began to wonder how many pokemon all of these people had and thought of her own team of pokemon; a prim Skitty and a burnt Spearow. Well no, the Spearow wasn't hers yet, she had just told it to follow along for treatment.

{That's him!!} spat the very Spearow Hiroko had just been thinking of, {He's the pokemon that did this to me!}

Cupcake's ears perked up, and she looked over the Charizard, {What what? I daresay that Charizard looks like a brute. I never did care for fire type pokemon, they're always so ill-tempered. You say he burnt you? Well, you deserved it. Perhaps he was merely cleaning the world of riff-raff.}

{HOW DARE YOU!} the Spearow sqwaked angrily, {You don't even understand why we fight the Pidgey!}

{Quite frankly I don't care,} Cupcake said cheerfully, {And would you mind stepping back, your rage is causing burnt, filthy feathers to fall near my splendid paws.}

Hiroko had not been paying attention to the two pokemon, but had begun to walk up to the door. She wasn't about to wait around outside if going in was an option. She turned around to see where Cupcake was and saw the two pokemon about two meters away.

"Oh Princess, I'm leaving," she called to the Skitty, "Even if this Oak is not present, I can at least wait in a decent place." With that she gave a last look to a few of the others standing around and then went in through the door. Princess Cupcake and the Spearow looked blankly at each other for a moment and then began to race off toward the door.

{Servant! Wait! This running is not proper for a delicate lady like me!} the cat pokemon huffed as she ran.

The Spearow beside her was still scowling about the Charizard and Cupcake, but there was something about the Skitty. She was so feeble and annoying, but at the same time she had this inner spirit that seemed to never give up. Hiroko, while she came off as cold, still was nice enough to offer him help. What odd people.

Rio approached Oak's laboratory as several other trainers began to enter. Slowing his pace, the crimson-eyed male studied the trainers in silence, noting their appearance, stance, general attitude, and whatever Pokemon accompanied them. From a Charizard to a Spearow that looks like it was attacked by a Charizard . . . Quite the range of people have assembled. Rio's eyes shifted slightly. That Skitty appears to be half-drowned. Judging by its expression, perhaps it wishes it had been drowned fully. Despite his thoughts, the male's expression remained calm and indifferent--as though none of the situation had registered completely into his mind. Moving forward in an almost dazed fashion, Rio entered the lab without ever having appeared to notice anyone else.

Stepping inside, Rio's gaze moved subtly--imperceptibly for any who made no effort to notice--in a search for the one he had come to meet: Professor Oak. Not finding him, Rio remained silent and still for a moment, deliberating upon his next action. His voice quiet and clear, Rio finally spoke, not seeming to be addressing any specific individual. "Where is Oak?"

OOC: I edited my post. I misread and thought we were inside the lab.

IC:

Mike was waiting outside with the others that were called by Oak. He already finish his sandwich. He notice on of the people here had a skitty. At once Mike thought that this girl that owned the skitty isn't much of a battler and more of a pokemon as pets. He like the idea of pokemon as pets because that developes a bond between owner and pokemon but Mike felt that only a battle can tigthen a bond between a pokemon and its owner. Still he found the Skitty funny.

Mike then notice that somebody else had a charizard. It looked tough and been in a few battle thought Mike at once. It takes a great trainer to train a charizard and he should know because he has one himself. Still he smiled and decided to show off his charizard. He threw out Char's pokeball and release her. He smiled to her and said, "You deserve a little time outside. Look around and take a look at the other people that are here."

Char gave Mike a smiled and stood by his side. She then let out a small roar.

Mike smiled and said, "Yeah. Some of these guys do you tough but we are just as tough." He then notice a few people were entering the lab. He guessed he might as well head inside too. He said, "Let go inside and see if the lab has changed since the last time we been here." He and Char then followed the others inside the lab.
