Another thread name for old known "OS Talk", "Computer/OS Talk" and "Information Technology Chit-chat", this thread is for people to discuss their computer specifications, operating systems, and new technologies that are coming out. Shining Arcanine was the best at these topics, and I will dedicate this topic to him.

Anyway, here's my computer specs, (they haven't changed, have they? XD) for my G4.

400MHz G4 Processor (slow? Good for me)
PCI Graphics Card - ATI Rage 128 (Old, I know)
DVD-RW - Pioneer DVR-108D
Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop
40GB Hard Drive
512MB RAM (I want to go to 1GB...)

By the way iPod 15GB is out and about too. $299? Nice price, I saw it won best MP3 player in Australian Personal Computer Magazine.

Mac OS X related - Apple is still making Mac OS X more accessible with Spoken Interface (http://www.apple.com/accessibility/spokeninterface/), and yet the price for 10.4 when it comes out may still stay at $129. Still cheaper than XP, let the entire system is much more advanced and easier to use than XP!

Here's the current computer I'm using... I hope get its specs right. Ack, scratch that =), all I know is that it's 2800MHZ anyway and I think it has 1024MB RAM! ^_^ I don't even know where it's bought from but I'm pretty sure it was bought about a week ago. The thing is my family didn't buy it, and it had problems as soon as we linked it up with the old moniter we had. :\

I know it's probably not the moniter's problem, our friend said the coding could be messed up. He installed his Windows XP on this computer, not ours.

My home computer is as follows:

Windows 98 OS, Windows XP Office program installed
18 GB Hard Drive (What can I say? It was only $300! I'm stingy!)
64 MB memory

...and that's all I know. But I have this theory that there's really nothing inside my computer except a colony of rats or something...x_x

Sometimes I think I’d like a laptop, but eh. What I’d really like to do is have a chance to try OSX out for a while, just since I never have. Sadly, no one around here I know has a Mac, and it’s not like there are any OSX emulators.
