150kb is about 0.15 MB, which is kind of big usually for pictures. Do you use PNG formats? (PNG=Portable Network Graphics, it creates smaller picture files while keeping much of the quality in it compared to GIF and JPEG.)

Kiss Under the Rain

The bell on top of the door rang as someone entered the shop. He looked around the Pokémon Mart curiously trying to find some potions or Pokéballs maybe. He looked around the rows of shelves filled with antidotes, potions, heals arranged neatly in small stacks. He took a potion and examined it.

He scratched his dark and unruly hair, as he examined the potion closely. He wore a red jacket, which was zipped closed on top of a black shirt. With his eyes still glued to the merchandise, he plunged his hand in his pocket. He rummaged through his pockets, trying to find some loose change to buy this potion. His blue jeans were dirty and some grass stains marked the left side of his leg. His red shoes were dirty and ragged through travel and training.

As he pulled out his money, he saw that he could buy more than one potion or maybe more than that... His eyes twinkled as he took another potion from the stock. He whistled a happy tune as he walked to the counter where the he’ll pay for the potion.

Nobody was in the counter, though. He rang the bell, which was on the counter, once, then twice. He waited patiently, occasionally rapping his fingers on the counter’s glass top.

Finally, a he heard footsteps that were coming from the door on the other side of the counter. “I’m coming, I’m coming!” said a familiar girl’s voice.

The voice of the girl immediately registered into the boy’s mind. As the girl came out, she had a shocked expression in her face. “Red? Is that you?” The girl exclaimed. She ran quickly to the counter with her long, blonde hair flowing behind her. She was wearing a blue apron on top of a long sleeved white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. She was also wearing dark blue pants rolled up so that they wouldn’t touch the floor since her jeans were too big for her. Finally, her white shoes were neat and tidy.

“Yep, it’s me!” Red exclaimed as he smiled to an old friend. “What are you doing here, Yellow?”

“What else I’m doing? I’m working!” She exclaimed as Red placed the two potions on top of the counter. Yellow grabbed the potions and ran them to the register.

“Working? How old are you, Yellow? Sixteen?”

“Seventeen,” She corrected him. “And that’s going to be four hundred for the potions,” She added as she finished punching buttons on the register.

“Four hundred?” Red muttered as he took out more money from his pocket. “Prices these days…” He handed her the money and she punched more buttons, which opened the register. She placed Red’s money on the opening. Then, she took the receipt, which was coming out of the register and gave it to Red.

“There you go,” She said as she gave him the two potions. “Please come again!” She then smiled at him.

“ ‘Please come again?’ Is that the way you’re treating your friends now?” Red teased her as he leaned down on the counter.

“Red, I’m working right now. I don’t want you to scare away the customers!”

“Sure, sure. Hey, I’m staying here in Viridian city for the while, you know?”

“That’s nice,” Yellow smiled back at Red.

“And…if you’re not busy…we can like go out for dinner or something…” Red smiled guiltily at Yellow.

“Go out? Red you know—” She began to complain but he interrupted her before she could say more.

“No, not going out! Go out for dinner as friends! You know…catching up and stuff.”

She looked at him with a puzzled look. She couldn’t do anything but to give in to his smile. “All right, all right,” She muttered as she looked around the mart if there are still customers around.

“Great! So what time do you have where you’re not working?”

“Tomorrow…I guess…” Yellow replied as she looked down.

“Aw, what’s with the long face?” Red tried to cheer her up as he moved forward so that he was face to face with her. “Aren’t you happy we met each other again? It’s been so long!”

Yellow nodded slowly. “Yeah…I guess…”

“Cheer up, Yellow! I’m sure we need some catching up to do!” He smiled as he turned around and started walking out of the mart. “My apartment is in downtown Viridian. It’s the one near the Pokémon center!”

Yellow nodded. “See you tomorrow…”

The day went slowly for Yellow. There weren’t any customers today except for Red. Now, he wants to go out with her for tomorrow night. She sighed as she waited for customers that day. She looked around the neatly organized mart waiting for trainers to come.

Finally, as night came, she picked up her keys, secured everything in the mart and closed the lights. She closed the door to the mart securely and headed for home. Her house was a small house north of the outskirts of Viridian city, near Viridian forest. She felt comfortable living near the forest.

Now, as she unlocked the door to her house and simply clicked the lights open through a switch near the doorway. Her home, which only contained a living room, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a kitchen, was neatly cleaned.

She let out a sigh of relief as she sat down on her comfortable sofa and rested her eyes…she wasn’t really sure if she wants to go out with Red or not. A deep uncertainty was glowing inside her…uncertain of the coming events…

It was morning when Red heard a knock on the door.

“Ack!” He fell from the couch to where he was sleeping with a loud thud. His blankets trailed behind him as he headed his way to the door. “Who could it be this early in the morning?” He muttered loudly as he scratched his matted hair. He tossed his blanket away and straightened his dark shirt.

He opened the door and peered outside to see Yellow wearing a cute little dress. “Yellow?”

She smiled at him. “I’m ready!”

“Ready? Oh yeah, you mean going out? I’m not ready…sorta…” Red muttered as he widened the door.

“Not ready? Red you said we meet up here tomorrow!” Yellow scowled as she placed her hands around her hips. She looked angrily at Red.

“Well, I though we’re going out at night…and you kinda woke me up there…” Red grinned.

Yellow smiled again and then peered behind Red. “Lemme see your apartment,” She said as she stood on her toes to see what’s beyond Red.

“Uh…well…I’m kinda busy so it’s all messy…” Red grinned guiltily. “So why don’t you come in?”

Yellow entered Red’s scrawny apartment. Everything was thrown about. Red’s clothes were strewn everywhere and trainer items and Pokéballs were thrown about. Red grinned guiltily at Yellow since he wasn’t quite prideful of his apartment with only one small bedroom, a living room and one bathroom. He scratched his head as he picked up his thin white blanket and folded it.

“It’s not much of a home…but…” He muttered.

“I think it looks great…” Yellow smiled as she sat down on the couch while handing Red’s pillow to him.

“You think so? Thanks!” Red smiled back. “Listen, I’m really not that prepared so…just wait for a second. I need to freshen up and dress…”

Yellow nodded happily as she let Red go in his room and pick out clothes then quickly run up to the bathroom. She waited patiently as she heard the shower turn on and heard Red’s yelping. “Cold! Cold!”

She giggled slightly as she heard the shower curtain unfurl. She could hear the running water from inside the bathroom as she continued to wait. After a few minutes, she heard the knob turn and out came Red, dressed and ready to go, though his hair was still slightly wet.

“Shall we go?” He smiled as he held out his elbow.

She smiled as she stood up and grabbed Red’s elbow as they both walked out of the apartment.

The streets of Viridian city were crowded that afternoon. Trainers, businessmen, mothers with their children, and civilians walked along the sidewalk. A few cars zoomed along the road leaving some children frightened since they are not used to these metallic automobiles that ran on engines.

Red and Yellow walked side by side together as they made their way out of the restaurant. After eating lunch, they decided to take a stroll…and maybe go home tonight.

“Viridian city’s changed so much!” Red exclaimed as he looked around the tall skyscrapers. “The last time I went here it isn’t much of a city, remember?”

Yellow smiled then nodded. “I remember the first time I met you around here. Remember at the Viridian forest?”

He nodded. “Yeah I remember. You were quite young back then…” Red then cleared his throat as he said something like: ‘you were cute, too…’

“What did you say?” Yellow grinned as she bumped Red’s side. “Did you say I was cute before?”

“Er…well…you’re still cute now!” Red replied as he scratched his dark, tangled hair.

Yellow’s blue eyes twinkled as she moved closer to Red. “Red, do I look cute or pretty?” She asked him as they crossed the street. They were approaching a corner that led to the Viridian city’s park.

“W—what? I dunno…I mean…you look…cute…and…” Red stammered. It was evident that he was speechless.

Yellow giggled as he held Red’s hand. As if a brick hit Red’s face when he felt Yellow’s soft hand hold his tightly. “Yellow? I thought…”

“You said I was cute…and you can’t decide if I’m cute or pretty…I think you’re cute, Red.” She smiled at him. Finally, they reached the park. Yellow was still holding Red’s hand as they decided to sit down in one of the benches.

Red cleared his throat as he decided to find an interesting conversation. He looked around at the park. Trees were planted everywhere and the soft, rubbery grass was like a carpet that spread through the whole park. Trainers were on the far side, battling out their Pokémon while kids, near Red and Yellow were playing with each other.

“Ever wondered what happened to the others?” Red asked her.

“I think they found jobs or just stayed being trainers. Green is an aide for Professor Oak now…and I’m not sure but I think Blue’s a manager at some restaurant.”

“Manager?” Red muttered in a confused tone. “She’s the same age as me and she’s a manager?”

Yellow giggled. “I think she sweet talked her way in, don’t you think?” She looked up closely to Red.

Red nodded. “Yeah,” Yellow’s bright blue eyes twinkling with excitement and curiosity mesmerized him. A wide smile was in her face that made Red smile, too. “Oh, didn’t I tell you that you have pretty eyes?” Red said sheepishly as he scratched his head. “I know it’s kinda awkward…but…”

“Thanks,” Yellow replied as she blushed. “I didn’t know that you’d notice…” She then looked in front of them at the children and the trainers from beyond the other side. “It was long time ago…and yet I could remember everything like it was yesterday…”

“What is it?”

“When we were kids back then. It’s all so vivid.” She stroked her hair as the wind blew slightly stronger. “I just wish that we could stay the way we were back then. Before, we were happy…”

“…We’re still happy now, aren’t we?” Red interrupted her. She looked at Red with her sparkling eyes.

“Do you think so, Red?”

“Yeah! We are! I mean…like right now. We’re happy that we met each other again. The last time we saw each other, I thought that I wasn’t going to see you again…”

She solemn face smiled. “Do you…do you really think so, Red?”

He nodded with a wide grin. “Yeah I think so!”

“I didn’t know that…you wanted to see me again. I thought that…you were just going to forget about me.”

“No I’m not! How am I going to forget about you?” The wind was blowing stronger and the dry, brown leaves flew on the ground. “Aren’t you cold?”

Yellow nodded. “Kinda…a bit…”

“You sure? Because you look like you’re shivering.”

“I am?” Yellow noticed that she was having goosebumps along her arm. “I guess I am…”

“Here,” He said as he took off his red jacket. “You’ll be much warmer,” He made Yellow wear it and he placed his arm around her. “Warmer?”

She nodded. “Yeah, thanks.”

As night fell, the two walked together along the almost deserted streets. A few civilians or trainers wander the streets now. The only things that lit the streets were street lamps that let out a sickly yellow color to light the way. The wind howled as it passed along the windows and at the trees. Leaves fell down as the wind shook the trees.

“So where do you live?” Red asked Yellow. He was holding hands with Yellow as they walked along the street.

“Not far from here. It’s north from here to Viridian forest,” She replied as she looked down at the withered leaves on the ground, occasionally crushing some. “I just want to be close to the forest as possible…”

Red smiled as he held her cold hand tightly.

After a few minutes, the two finally reached Yellow’s home. The small house sat quietly as the woods north of it rustled with the wind. Occasional hoots and chirps filled the air as the night sky, painted with stars and the moon, shined was there because it was away from the lights of the city.

“You really picked a great place to live,” Red whispered, trying not to disturb the silence.

Yellow opened her door with her key and opened the lights inside. “Yeah, thanks. You sure you don’t want to come in?”

He shook his head. “Nah, I don’t want to.” He then paused as she gazed at him. “Yellow…do you want to go out again the next time you take a day off?”

She nodded happily. “Yeah, sure!” She exclaimed. “That’s next week. Same time?”

Red nodded. “Yeah, same time!” He then approached her and gave her a quick kiss to the cheek.

Yellow was shocked as Red parted from his kiss. Her face was really red as she blushed. “Th—thank you…” She whispered to him.

Red smiled. “Good night! See you next week!” He then made his way back to the city along the moonlit path.

A knock was heard on Red’s door the next week. Even thought the rain was pouring outside, Red could clearly hear the knock on his door.

“Must be Yellow,” He thought to himself as he put on his coat for the outside weather. He turned off the television, which forecasted the weather—rain all day long.

There was another knock. The impatient knocks continued as Red made his way to the door. He unlocked the doorknob, clenched it and twisted it. As he opened the door, he was shocked when a redheaded girl jumped at him. With a yelp, Red was thrown back to his room.

“Misty?”

He was right. The redhead’s shoulder length hair was tied to a small ponytail. Her bright eyes stared down happily at Red’s helpless eyes. Her arms were around Red’s neck and she was virtually on top of him. Even though the weather was very cold, she was wearing a tank top and short jean shorts. She was wearing sandals that were soaked wet.

“Missed me, Red?” She exclaimed gleefully as she tightened her hug.

“Misty? What are you doing here?” Red questioned her. “I need to go now…”

“Red…don’t you miss me?” Misty cried as her emotions automatically triggered to sorrow and despair.

Red was speechless as Misty looked at him tearfully. “Well…uh…I…but…I do…I do miss you…”

She let out a delighted squeal as she jumped off of Red. “I’m so happy I found you!” She exclaimed as she let Red stand up and dust himself.

“Look, Misty. I need to go and…”

“Why can’t you stay for a while, Red? We need to catch up some things!” She giggled as she dragged Red out from the doorway and closed the door. She dragged him to the sofa were she sat next to him, holding his arm. “You look cuter than before Red, why don’t you take off that coat now since you’re not going anywhere…” She unbuttoned his coat and immediately and took it out of him.

Red had enough courage to grab her by her shoulders. “Misty! I need to go. I’m going off somewhere with someone.”

Misty calmed down as she looked at Red. She let Red’s coat fall from her hands as her eyes remained transfixed to Red’s furious eyes. She looked down sorrowfully. “Don’t you…don’t you love me anymore, Red?”

Red felt silent. After all these days…he forgot all about Misty. “Misty…I…I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to do that…” His grip loosened and then took his hands off of her shoulders. “I’m sorry…I didn’t…”

Misty found this as an advantage as she quickly tackled Red and when he didn’t know what was coming, she immediately pressed her lips to his. Red tried to struggle…but it was all too futile to resist. He was lost in ecstasy as her arms wrapped around his body and his hands reached for her hair and untied it. Her short hair fell immediately to her shoulders as they continued to kiss. Red forgot why he wore his coat in the first place… He also forgot that the door was unlocked.

Yellow hummed happily as she walked down the corridor to Red’s room. On her hand, she had her yellow umbrella and she wore her brown coat to keep her warm. Her boots squeaked as she made her way to his room. As she stopped in front of Red’s room, she noticed that the door was slightly open to a small crack.

Bewildered, she grasped the knob and opened the door slowly. To her horror, she immediately saw Red, kissing with Misty during this cold, cold day. She felt her heart immediately torn away from her chest and then, ripped into pieces…

“R—Red…” She stammered as tears streamed down her eyes. She let go of her umbrella and it fell to the ground with a soft thump.

Red immediately broke away from Misty and noticed Yellow. His eyes widened as he noticed the bitter tears, running down her cheeks. “Yellow! I can explain. It’s not what you think!”

“How…how could you?” Yellow sobbed as she immediately ran off.

“Yellow!” Red called, as he was about to stand up but was held back by Misty.

“What’s she supposed to do?” Misty asked him angrily.

In fury, Red jerked his arm away from Misty’s grasp. “I’m supposed to go out with her until you showed up!” He yelled frantically at Misty.

Misty could sense the anger and hatred in Red’s eyes. The eyes that were bright, full of humor, bravery, were now filled with anger, loathing, and hate. “Why? Don’t you…don’t you love me anymore?”

“NO!” Red shouted at her. “I don’t care about you when you came here. I love her and that’s all I have to say!” Red stormed out of his apartment and outside, leaving Misty to cry for herself. He quickly picked up her umbrella and ran off as fast as he could.

~*~*~*~

“Yellow!” Red called as he ran through the heavy rain. His skin was cold since he didn’t have any time to put in his coat. “Yellow!”

His voice was drowned with the downpour of the rain all around him. He tried to find her in her house but she wasn’t there. So instead, he tried to find her in Viridian city. He searched the empty streets, every alley and every corner. Finally, the only place where he didn’t search was the park.

He made his way to the park, panting, wheezing, cold, and shivering. He called her name though the rain. His voice was exhausted as he felt the hammering of rain on his cold arms and shoulders. Finally, he could see her, sitting on the bench where they sat before last week. She was all, alone as she sat there.

“Yellow…” Red gasped as he sat down next to her. “Yellow…I finally found you…”

She didn’t reply as the rain downed her sobs. It’s hard to distinguish whether it was tears or water that ran down her face.

“Yellow…it’s me…Red!”

She didn’t face him as she continued to look down. “How could you?” She sobbed. “After all…the things that you did to me…after all the things you said to me…how could you?” She finally faced him, tearfully. “I love you, Red! And all you did was kiss her!”

“Yellow…” Red replied as he panted. “I’m sorry…she jumped on me…I couldn’t resist…”

“Why couldn’t you?” She yelled amidst the rain. “Why couldn’t you resist? Do you love me, Red? Do you? Do you?” Her frantic questioning was aided with sobs.

Red didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around her. He hugged her tightly as she continued to cry. “I do love you…” He replied. “I’m sorry…that was my mistake…I’m sorry…”

Yellow continued to sob as she closed her eyes. She didn’t notice Red loosen his embrace. She did feel his cold hands hold her cheeks and she felt his cold, wet lips touch hers. He kissed her lovingly and slowly and with utmost passion. Finally, as they parted, she wasn’t crying anymore. She was still shivering in the cold…

“That’s how I love you…” Red whispered to her ear as she felt his hands wrap around her again. “I don’t want to make you cry anymore…I just want to be with you…no matter what…”

“Red…” She whispered back. “I’m…sorry…but…”

“But what? Please don’t tell me that you don’t love me anymore…you meant something to me…and I don’t want to loose you…”

Yellow paused. She looked at his eyes and then smiled. “I guess…” She simply whispered. She found her chance at the defenseless Red as she moved forward and gave him her own kiss.

He wrapped his arms around her and immediately felt warmth. Both of them know that they love each other now…now that the conflict was resolved…

“I…forgive you…” Yellow whispered as they parted. She smiled as she let Red stroke her wet hair.

“Oh yeah, you forgot this,” Red exclaimed as he gave her back her umbrella.

Yellow smiled gleefully as she accepted it. “Thanks…” She stood up and so did he. “…Do you want to go to my house for a while? Before we get a cold…” She giggled as she held his hand.

“Sure…I’d be happy…”

Disclaimer: The song “Rest Stop” is by Matchbox Twenty. I decided to place some lyrics from it because I wanted to make this short fanfiction more creative. I don’t own the song “Rest Stop,” nor Matchbox Twenty nor Pokémon Special.

Author’s notes: This short one-shot fanfiction is rated PG-13 for mild swearing. If you are a Specialshipper, you better not read this fanfiction or it will give you horrible nightmares.

Rest Stop

Driving on the open desert, where all life is rejected, the car sped in the freeway, unaware of the fateful day the couple inside might take…

She felt tired as she drove the car. Her beautiful, long, yellow hair, tied behind her as she stared out in the freeway, cautious of driving. With one hand on the steering wheel, another touching her cheek, she quickly looked at me… the boy she loved…

I was sleeping soundly at my seat. I breathed peacefully as the radio played its soft tune. She sighed as she looked back on the road again…pondering of the future…the future. But then, the horrid truth dawned in her…and she now knows how the future would feel…she looked over at the horizon and she could see the small rest stop.

Just three miles from the rest stop
And she slams on the breaks…

As the car skidded to a stop, she turned off the radio. She looked at me lovingly as she tried to gather her courage to wake me up…and tell me the news…

“Red…” She whispered as she gently shook me. “Red, please wake up…” Her soft whisper soon reached me.

I opened my eyes slowly and then yawned, stretching my arms. “Huh? Are we home now?”

Yellow smiled and shook her head. “No…”

“Then why did we stop, Yellow?” I rubbed my eyes and then looked at my side of the window to the massive wasteland…

“I…I have to tell you something, Red…” She whispered as her smile disappeared.

“What is it? Something important?”

She nodded tearfully as…

She said “I tried to be but I’m not
And could you please collect your things
I don’t wanna be cold
I don’t wanna be cruel
Than what’s happening with you
If you’d – open up your door”

She said – “While you were sleeping
I was listening to the radio
And wondering what you were dreaming when
It came to my mind that I didn’t care…

…and if you could please understand, Red…”

“Yellow? What do you mean?” I asked, trying to not think that what I heard was true.

“Red…I…we…we’re breaking up…” She stuttered solemnly as she looked over at the setting sun. The sun’s rays reflected on her sullen face.

So I thought – “**** if it’s over
I had better end it quick
Or I could lose my nerve
Are you listening? Can you hear me?
Have you forgotten?”

I couldn’t believe my ears…everything that we both shared together…all destroyed…everything…I waited and waited until the dusk finally shrouded the desert…

I thought,

“Just three miles from the rest stop
And my mouth’s too dry to rage
The light was shining from the radio
I could barely see her face
But she knew all the words that I never had said
She knew the crumpled-up promised of this
Broken down man – and as I opened up the door…”

I took the only thing that I brought with me with the trip…my backpack…I stepped out from the car and looked at her solemn eyes. She was crying and she knows that it’s hard to breakup… I was angry but I tried to control my anger…

Now…three more miles to the rest stop…I finally reached it when it was night. I immediately called my friend and told him to pick me up. My anger had already calmed down back then… but I couldn’t ever… recover from this incident…the incident that took place…three miles from the rest stop…

Anyways, I'm trying to get my hands on my dad's scanner, so I can deliver my next 4 pics I'm dying to post up here. One Yellow pic, two tri-shipping pics, and one great sketch of Gold and his lineup.

In "Happy Birthday", expect enough fights between Red and Green. Approx. 8-10 pages long, manga format.

Here it is! Not much suspense...but...

Lonely Beach

Those eyes…

Two sparkling silver orbs that floated in darkness…

In midst of the long, tangled, red hair she could see his eyes. They looked down at her not in terror. Not in fear. Not in hate. Not in anger. He stared down at her as she smiled and blushed.

She remembered those eyes even when she was young. Those two sorrowful eyes that have endured so much hardship and so much hatred... She has seen those eyes shed tears. She has seen them sleep. Now, she stared back at them. She had a different feeling now. Deep inside…she felt warmth.

~*~*~*~

“You! Stand up!” Someone yelled.

Blue realized what she was doing when the man began to yell. She looked around and noticed that she was hiding behind a tree and was peering at one of her superiors kicking a small boy.

The man and the boy wore masks—pale white and sickly in color, the masks had only holes for the eyes and the mouths. The holes were slanted and the eyes were shaped evilly and the mouth was slanted in a sinister smile.

The boy was crying. His muffled sobs were heard under the mask. The man had just finished “disciplining” the boy. Blue had to close his eyes and hear the harsh punches and kicks hit the boy. The boy was on the ground face down. His small black sweater was soiled and blotched with stains of various color, his faded blue pants filled with grass stains, and his black boots, muddy. His long red hair was tangled and disheveled.

“Stand up!” The masked man boomed again. This time, he was irritated as he let out one final kick to the boy.

The boy let out a yelp as he was kicked. He rolled up into a ball, clutching his stomach from the kick. He was still crying as the man cursed and muttered about uselessness. Finally, the man turned around and left. He left the boy to starve and die in the forest.

This was finally Blue’s chance. She crept slowly and quietly when the sound of shoes patting on the ground disappeared. She approached the boy, who was still crying and clutching his stomach. A small grin appeared behind Blue’s masked face. Her long dark brown hair flowed behind her as the wind blew. She was careful to not let her black dress make a sound as she crept closer and closer. Finally, she was exactly near the boy.

The boy had stopped sobbing and was now sniffing. Blue took off her mask and sighed as she breathed the fresh air. She sat next to the boy and placed her hand on the small, metal mask. She was about to take it off but the boy quickly stood up and moved back quickly.

“Who…who are you?” The boy stammered weakly as he shivered in terror.

Blue smiled. “Relax. I’m just a girl.”

The boy continued to stare in terror as he looked down at Blue’s hand. He saw the mask and gasped. Blue looked in her hand and noticed the mask and quickly hid it.

“That was nothing,” She said guiltily as she hid the white metal mask behind her back. “I’m just here to help you, kid!”

The boy still breathed in terror as he moved back more. His hands were blackened with dirt as he continued to retreat.

Blue looked down in gloom. “That man treated you badly, didn’t he?”

The boy stopped falling back and froze.

“The man…he…he does that to me, too…” Blue whispered as she looked down at her mask. She sighed but then changed her expression to happiness as she smiled and looked up at the boy. “So…can you take off your mask? I bet it’s stuffy!”

The boy simply shook his head. His red hair moved as he moved his head from side to side, violently.

“Aw, c’mon. I took off my mask.” Blue smiled as she approached him, slowly. The boy didn’t recoil but he let her come near him.

Blue touched the boy’s arms and then felt the bruises that were on him. She gasped as the boy rolled his sleeves, revealing dozens of bruises in his arms. The boy’s arms were blotched with black marks from punching, scabs that marked long wounds, and fresh, new wounds that were just inflicted.

Blue’s hand reached for the boy’s face and touched his masked cheek. “You poor boy,” She whispered. She felt his mask and slowly took it off.

The face of the boy was soiled and blotched with dirt. His cheeks were filled with traces of dried tears. The most noticeable about him was that he had pale silver eyes. Blue gasp when she noticed them. She looked closely as she regained to her senses.

“Are they…really like that?”

The boy had a confused look in his face.

“Your…eyes…”

The boy smiled meekly. “Yeah…” He nodded slowly as he replied.

Blue smiled, too as she moved closer to him. She stroked his long red hair and then moved her hand to his arms, which were now concealed by his dark sweater. She massaged them softly and them smiled. “Feel better?”

The boy nodded and smiled back.

“What’s your name, anyway?” Blue asked all of the sudden as she looked straight into the boy’s eyes.

“Si…Silver…” The boy’s voice trembled as he said his name.

“Silver!” Blue repeated as she still kept her smile. “My name is Blue and I’m seven years old. How old are you, Silver?”

Silver had a puzzled expression as Blue asked him the question. He doesn’t seem to understand the question at all. “How old…am I?”

“Yeah, how old are you, Silver?” Blue repeated her question.

Silver shook his head.

“Don’t you know how old are you?”

He shook his head once more. Blue was stunned since this was the first time she met someone, this boy in particular, who doesn’t know his age.

“Really?” Blue exclaimed in disbelief. “Do you remember your mom and dad?”

Silver shrugged. He doesn’t seem to have a clue what Blue was talking about. His face conveyed his expression of bewilderment. Blue let out a frustrated sigh and finally stood up.

“It’s getting dark, isn’t it?” She muttered as she looked around. “C’mon, let’s go back before we can’t see…” She held out her hand to Silver.

Silver stared at her hand. A brief paused followed but Silver finally lent out his hand and held hers. Blue helped Silver up as she placed her mask back.

“Better put that thing back before someone sees us…” She muttered and helped Silver put back his mask on. Blue helped Silver place his mask back and soon, the two walked out of the forest…

“Why you little—!” The man swore as he slapped Blue.

Blue cried in pain as the man punished her for having her mask off. It was a year after that incident happened. Two other boys held her as the man continued to punish her.

“What was the reason you didn’t have your mask on?” The man demanded from her.

Blue was silent as tears flowed down from her eyes. She tried to control her sobs but her attempts were fruitless.

“Answer me!” The man boomed as he slapped Blue once more time.

Blue moaned in pain as she continued to cry. They were inside a room where punish children because they were disobedient. The room’s blank walls were uninviting and the only thing in there was a lamp that hung down from the ceiling, a small wooden stool that sat next to a wooden table.

“Tell me, girl,” The masked man yelled as he held Blue by her hair. “Tell me why did you not have your mask on.”

Blue’s answer was mostly sobs, “It’s…because…it’s because I…I didn’t want to wear it!” She cried in pain as the man tightened his grip on her hair.

“And why didn’t you want to wear it?”

“Because…because…I don’t like to wear it…”

A sharp slap followed her answer. She continued to cry as the man’s grip tightened. “Tell me, girl. Are you sorry for your actions?”

Blue nodded in grief as she continued to cry and cry. One final slap to the face ended her punishment. As she was thrown out of the room, she sat on the floor, crying. Her own mask muffled her cries.

As time passed, she didn’t realize that someone was already sitting next to her.

“Blue…it’s okay…” Said the familiar voice. “You don’t have to cry…”

She turned around to see Silver sitting next to her. He didn’t have his mask on and he had a small smile in his face. “Silver…why…why are you here…you shouldn’t be here…”

Silver shook his head slowly. “You shouldn’t be crying, Blue…”

She felt Silver take off her own mask. Silver smiled shyly as he placed his hand on her swollen cheeks. “Silver…”

“You made me better before…I just want you to be better, too…”

She felt Silver’s hand caress her cheeks softly. Immediately, she couldn’t cry anymore. Silver simply looked at her innocently and smiled.

“Is that better, Blue?”

She nodded slowly as she wiped her tears. “A bit…”

She was shocked when Silver moved slowly to her and kissed her cheek. She was speechless as Silver smiled.

“Is that better, Blue?” He repeated.

Blue nodded again. “Yeah…”

Silver looked down shyly, pondering on the action that he just committed. He felt Blue move closer to him.

“Someday…we’re going to get out of this place…I promise…we’re going out of here…”

Seven years passed and Blue and Silver do escape… they managed to take revenge on the people that treated them harshly through the help of friends. Now, the two take their time as they walked along the beach that one day…

“Silver, do you remember the first time we met?” Blue asked Silver as they walked along the beach.

Silver muttered in reply as he simply looked to his side, facing opposite of Blue. He gazed at the vast, thunderous ocean. The foaming tides deposited shells and seaweeds on the beach as the two continued to walk.

“You still do, huh?” Blue smiled gleefully.

Silver nodded and muttered again.

“I think you were cute back then, afraid of me,” Blue giggled. “But now, you think you’re just tough, huh?” She circled Silver and moved to his side where he could see her.

She was wearing her black dress and sandals. Her long hair waved with the wind as she smiled at him. Silver was wearing his usual clothes—the black sweater, the faded jeans, and the dark boots. His long red hair remained uncut. His silver eyes gave a cold, sharp, piercing, gaze.

“C’mon, Silver! Smile for one bit!” Blue laughed.

Silver simply looked back at Blue and didn’t smile.

“Come on, you sourpuss…” Blue stopped walking and so did Silver. “You know you can smile for me.”

Silver, not knowing what to do, forced himself to show her a simple smile. Blue laughed as she rubbed Silver’s red hair.

“You’re so cute when you do that!” She laughed again as she went ahead of Silver.

“Hey, Blue! Where are you going?” Silver called as she began to run.

“Catch me if you can, Silver!” She giggled playfully as she tossed her sandals in the air and then ran along the beach.

Silver muttered irritably as he took off his boots and started running after Blue. “Blue! Wait up!” Silver yelled to her as he ran as fast as he could.

Blue ran freely as she looked back at Silver, who was having a hard time catching up. “Come on, Silver! I know you can run faster than that!”

Silver groaned as he rolled his pants so that they won’t get wet as Blue ran along the water. She laughed out loud as the water splashed.

“Blue! Can’t you stop for a moment?”

She did stop and turned around. She turned around slowly as the wind blew and her hair flowed along with the wind. She looked beautiful as she smiled. Silver couldn’t stop himself as he simply crashed into her and they both fell to the ground softly.

She could see his silver eyes as the cold wave of water reached them. She shivered as she blushed and looked at Silver’s eyes. The cold gaze was gone and was replaced with a look of curiosity. She realized that his arms were around her this time. She can’t control herself from blushing as Silver finally smiled normally.

“This was supposed to happen, wasn’t it?” Silver whispered. His voice echoed in her mind and the roar of the ocean drowned his words.

Blue shook her head, as her eyes remained transfixed to Silver’s. She finally smiled as she felt warmth inside her despite the frigid breeze and the cold water that hit them. She wrapped her arms around him and gazed at him lovingly. She then closed her eyes and breathed softly.

Soon, she felt his soft, tender lips touch hers as she embraced him tightly. She still had her eyes closed as Silver slowly parted his lips from hers. She felt his hand caressing her cheeks and then her forehead. She felt his head rest on her chest as he breathed slowly.

Soon, the sun had finally set. The only things that she could see were his sparkling eyes. Darkness covered them both as they look at each other under the multitude of the stars above. They lay together on the soft sands of the beach. They looked at each other…and later…they would soon fall asleep…

But most of the fans seem to like Ruby/Sapphire, and even the Japanese yaoi fans I've seen seem to prefer Steven/Ruby. (WTF? Ruby/Wally has so much more evidence than Steven/Ruby!)

Man,I think you will really need to be online,especially on these school days.You'll face lots of annoying things,compositions and homeworks,"extra" short breaks,wiseacre teachers and students,etc.....
And when you come home,you can "get on the net" to calm down and wear off the stress.....Stupid HW's can be done later.....Just give it a try.I have been doing this since 4th grade(now in 9th)and never encountered problems....

I'm surprised you have it. You're the first sophomore I know that has an AP class.
Then again, maybe it's my school board that doesn't want us to have APs that early.

Oh well, when I get back to school, I'll taste how hard Precalculus is. I'm one of the few (no more than 8) elites that take precalc as a sophomore. XD
