Tan-taaa-na-naaa! Yesterday I trained my first Emerald lvl 100 pokemon! It was, at the same time, the first pokemon I bred with rather high stats (two flawless) and the first pokemon I EV-trained. And the pokemon is /drumbs and confettes/ Tyranitar! (Oh, and it's also the first Tyranitar I ever trained. ^o^ Can you believe I didn't know he was a rock-dark type? O.O I always figured he was rock-ground like larvitar ^.^' /ish ashamed of self/)

I mean, I know it's not such a big deal, but it is for me since I usually lack the concentraition to EV-train and I managed to do it this time. ^.^

The only one I actually TRAINED to LV100 was a glitch I hatched from an egg. He had good SAtk but bad speed and only needed around 30 Exp. to gain a level no matter what level he was on.

I have Misdreavus (Now Murmage in Pearl) at Lv100 because he is super easy to level up (only 800000), and both Cradily and Armaldo at Lv100, they only need 600000. Others are Shedinja (600000), Ninjask (same), Dusclops (800000), Milotic (600000), Altaria (600000).

Trying to get a Whailord to 100, it takes 1640000!!!!

I never played my Ruby game enough to get a slew of lv. 100's like most here. All I have is my lv. 100 Blaziken and Xatu. My Sneasel is at lv. 94, though. I would level her up, but I want to transfer her to D/P to evolve her to Weavile.

it's not hard, it's just about patience. A lot of people who are lazy just raise their teams to lv 50, and use that for BF and stuff. The only reason I hate that is because a lot of pokemon won't get moves they would have otherwise, or have to be kept at a lower evolution for a longer time.

To me, raising Pokes to Lv100 is a waste. The highest Poke I have ever had was a Lv96 Tyranitar, but that was to destroy the Lv100 Mewtwo's that my boys used to love so much. Well, until I showed them that more balanced Pokes can be just as good as unbalanced ubers. My next highest is a team of Lv91-93 Linoone. They are that high because in Emerald they have the best chance of picking up Rare Candies, not to mention TM26 Earthquakes.

The rest of my Pokes I don't train above 60, with my Legendaries not going above 70. There is no need to go any higher. I do the Lv50 run through BF, and then do the Open Level at Lv55-60. No Pokes learn any required moves after that.

That's not always true, some pokemon learn moves very late. This is even worse in D/P. Some pokemon get moves in the 90's (Why gamefreak??)

I have, and you may want to practice what you preach, my new friend. Vaporeon's best moveset doesn't include Hydro Pump, which it learns at Lv52, not Lv71. That is Suicune, and it doesn't need it either. Rest > Explosion on Claydol, but it learns it at Lv55, not Lv86. Don't even get me started on Relicanth. LOL

It isn't a ridiculously high level move , I think game freak are trying to make more people to train their pokemon up to L100 by setting attacks at a higher level.

I would assume without cheating, since that is incredibly cheap and isn't even worth mentioning. ANYONE can get a ton of Lv100 Pokes through cheating, but it takes a certain skill to get a Poke to Lv100 through normal methods. Personally, I have never done it and I never will. There is no point to it.

Or you could simply battle wild Pokes while having Pokes in your party with the Pick Up Trait. After a few battles, check your party and see if they have picked anything up. If they have, there is a rare chance that it will be a Rare Candy. In Emerald, you won't see any RCs until the Pick Up Poke (i.e. Zigzagoon) is Lv41.
