high in sp att and speed, so either timid or modest? As i'll lower defence . Ev's maxing out sp att and speed. Moves:
Ice beam
surf
recover
reresh/toxic/safeguard (which do you guys recommend)
Need help/advice thank you:D

Both are pretty good, but I suggest Timid since Milotic has all the Sp. Atk. he needds.
Milotic@Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
[Timid]
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Recover
-HYPNOSIS/Toxic
Standard.

Milotic is not a sweeper, so giving it a Timid nature and speed EVs are a waste, and so are more than 36-56 SAtk EVs. It needs Bold nature, along with max hp and max or nearly max defense (depending if you want to give it any SAtk or maybe SDef EVs), so that it can switch in on stuff like Metagross and Salamence on NB and in link battles with ease, but could be more useful even in-game than giving it max SAtk and Spd..
As for the moveset, Ice Beam/Recover/Surf/[Hypnosis/Toxic/Light Screen] or Rest/Sleep Talk/Surf/Toxic both work well enough.. Giving it Safeguard or Refresh is just a waste of a moveslot, considering that you actually want it to get statused because of its trait which boosts its defense by 1.5 when its statused..
np: A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras
Have a nice day.

This is my favourite:
Milotic@Leftovers
Timid Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hypnosis
-Refresh/Recover
Like what CoolLatios said.

Didn’t you hear what Squarewalker said? Milotic is NOT a special sweeper, so DON’T give it Timid. Give it Bold.

This is my favourite:
Milotic@Leftovers
Timid Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hypnosis
-Refresh/Recover
Like what CoolLatios said.
Refresh is pointless as it needs a recovery move like Recover or Rest to give it more staying power. Milotic likes stats afflictions as it gets a boost from Marvel Scale.

Does anyone know a place where you can calculate EV and IV?

Just write down your EVs on a sheet of paper. There are IV calculators all over the net just do a Google search.

if you want a quick sweeper milotic this is what you should do
make t have a modest nature
moves
hydro pump
blizzard
toxic
recover
this will make it powerful

milotic can't sweep, its a bulky water, and it's used to wall.

Hydro Pump and Blizzard are HORRIBLE moves on Milotic. As five other people have already said, Milotic is NOT a sweeper. There are much better options, even in-game.

What other movesets can milotic have? what do you guys reckon is best?

What about mirror coat on Milotic? If it has a high defense then it can take powerful special attacks then hit the opponent back double!
These are the moves I was planning to use:
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Mirror Coat

Mirror Coat can work, but it’s also problematic:
Opponent used Thunderbolt! (It does over half damage)
Milotic used Mirror Coat! (Opponent faints)
Trainers sends in fast and strong attacker.
Milotic isn’t fast enough to Recover the supereffective damage and can get defeated by the next Pokémon the opponent sends in.
Also, if your opponent doesn’t attack you and you use Mirror Coat, the element of surprise is lost. Mirror Coat only really works once, and that’s the first time you use it.
What other movesets can milotic have? what do you guys reckon is best?
Milotic can also be a Sleep Talker:
Milotic @Leftovers
Surf
Ice Beam
Rest
Sleep Talk
Marvel Scale activates during Sleep so it’s Defense will be 50% higher when it’s asleep.
That set can’t handle other Water Pokémon though.

Well, to my point, look at this.
Hydro Pump has 80% accruracy and it will probally miss. Double Team is not good because you need a counter to fight back or else it will faint. Milotic is slow. My opinions in Bold.

Toxic>Ice Beam is an option and helps with other water types.

Double Team is a waste of space as it is totaly luck based and you waste time DTing up and they WILL hit you. Pokemon like Suicune with Pressure are better at sucking PP as that is true all DT really does. =\

Item: Leftovers
It's good when you're asleep and you heal health. And you can use Sleep Talk to attack. But remember, you might use Sleep Talk when you awake. The movesets are good.

That's a pretty good moveset, but it doesn't have any water attacks, and Milotic is water type. My Milotic knows Surf, Dragonbreath, Attract and Recover. All of my friends hate it because it is so good. Plus, I bred to get it, so yeah...
Also, Leftovers is one of the three or so items that are the absolute best to use on a Pokemon. Scope Lens is great for OH-KOers, and Choice Band is perfect for sweepers. I don't use much else, because the items like Mystic Water stink. Don't put any item that boosts a type's attack on your Pokemon.

This thread is settled:
Milotic@Leftovers
Bold Nature
-Surf
-Rest
-Toxic
-Sleep Talk
But I Like:
Milotic@Leftovers/Chesto Berry
Bold Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Toxic
-Rest
Choose the top moveset. It's better.

Please don't ruin Milotic with crappy moves like Dragonbreath and Attract. Go with the moveset that has been suggested over and over and over in this thread. If your friends don't beat your Milotic with that moveset, I question their skillset, or lack thereof.

I know that it was also pointless to post a moveset that he just posted too. When you posted the two up he had already just posted the one he is going to use and I said it was good. Why even post after that?

Just a note: sometimes ice beam is better than surf it self. Like agains dragon/flying type (Dragonite and salamence). not always though.
