Well, the title pretty much sums up my problem. I've finally caught myself a decently DVd Bellsprout in Leaf Green, but I really want it to become the best Victreebel it can be, so...what EV spread and moveset should I use?

Nature: Quirky
DVs:
HP: 27-30, Attack: 15-18, Defense: 4-8, Sp.Attack: 25-28, Sp.Defense: 30-31, Speed: 0-4

Moveset:
Sludge Bomb
Body Slam
Giga Drain
Swords Dance

So yeah, pretty standard. I was thinking of taking advantage of the high Sp.Attack DVs with Giga Drain and get the healing from that, while making up for the mediocre Attack with Swords Dance and using Body Slam for parahax to compensate for the Speed, but I simply don't have a clue about the EV spread. >.< Someone who knows these things help me out, please. There are some EVs here and there, but I have them all written down so I can adjust those after I beat the league and get access to my berry stash in Emerald.

Nice DVs, crap Nature and Speed though.

The Standard Victreebel is a SunnyBeamer and your Victree could really use it. With that Speed, you can’t really sweep well. Even with near max Speed EVs, Metagross and Milotic can still outrun you.
So:

Victreebel @Leftovers/Lum Berry
EVs: 124 Atk / 196 Spd / 172 SAtk
-Solarbeam
-Sunny Day
-Sludge Bomb
-Sleep Powder/Swords Dance

You can put special walls like Snorlax and Regice to sleep and use Sludge Bomb on them. If you don’t like Sleep Powder’s accuracy, you can try Swords Dance although Victreebel is not the sort of Pokémon to set up with its shabby defenses.

The swordsdance set is much more usefull imo, which is sd, sludge bomb, sleep powder, giga drain. Pretty much like the tentacruel set, and is easy to use.

Actually, I think I'm leaning towards Aragornbird's set on this one. Not only does it solve a couple of issues with TMs and tutors (I'm going to have Charizard and Gengar too, so Swords Dance (Won't have to go to the frontier for it now) and Giga Drain will both come in handy), but Sunny Day will actually help my team's currently chronic water weakness (Only got Golem and Charizard currently trained.). My thanks for the input, and the properly standard set/EVs. ^^

The set Jc posted was the best to be honest. It works the best. Charizard lol.
