Well a small tidbit of Diamond & Pearl news had come out regarding the compatibility with th 3rd Generation games:
* You don't trade but actually transfer Pokémon from the GBA games to DP
* You can only transfer a Maximum of 6 Pokémon to the DP games each day
* It also reminds you that a fair few old Pokémon are obtainable in Diamond & Pearl
* On the Status screen, it states the date the Pokémon was obtained/traded
* The Safari Zone is set to make a return
