...are those showing at the top of this site? I would like to know what the beaver one is, the cool looking dog, and the dinosaur looking one too.

the two at the ends are the 'logo' pokemon for diamond and pearl.. not very sure of the names either.

When are the "diamond" and "pearl" versions coming out?

Diamond and Pearl are coming out in Japan on the 28th of September. It is rumored that they are slated for release in America for February 2007.
The balck four-legged one is Diaruga, the Time Ruling Pokémon. Next is Weavile, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. Then it is Buizeru, the Sea Weasel Pokémon. Lastly is Parukia, the Space-Ruling Pokémon.
