I think that the minimum post length should be increased to 100 characters.

What would have made your suggestion tonnes of times better, is if you'd actually written a post that was a 100 or more characters.

That is an interesting suggestion, but that would be too hard to reach for most people. Even for some of our most talkative members.

I don't think so. 25 chars is good enough on any post.

Lol, your suggestion isn't even 100 charictors long, also I agree its a bad idea.

But it would cut down on the spammers!!!

...and posting in general. It's not going to happen, there's no need to it, 25 characters is enough. Even if we did have it at 100 characters, people would just bypass the thing like they already do.

You can't even make a 100 character post, what makes you think others can, or will want to?

Well, it's worth a try, right? If it doesn't work out, you can always change it back...

Didn't you get a warning for bypassing the 25 character limit? If you can't make 25 on your posts then what makes you think you can make 100 character post?

...isn't that what I said? o_O

You do realise that if they did change the character limit, you wouldn't be able to post at all, as it seems that your posts just skim past the 25 limit...

If it's 100, I will work harder to make more 100+ char posts. I will even aim for 200!

What's sad is, it takes the char limit being set to 100 for you to be able to make a post with 100 characters.

I will say this again. No, it's not going to get changed.

We get enough people complain about how long 25 characters is. Honestly, it'd be too much of a hassle to bump it up to 100, even if a lot of people already post that many characters, sometimes you really don't even need 25, so 100 is overkill.

You yourself can make your own effort to try to surpass 100 in every post, but often it really won't be needed so you'd just be redundant or using unecessarily big words just to convey a simple point. :O

My Suggestion:

Stop trying to make it happen. The 25 character limit is good enough. Sure, 100 letters would work by cutting down on spammers, but it would also cut down on members too. People dont wanna make an essay out of a post -.-'

I would love to make an essay out of every post. With a 100 minimum limit, I would have plenty of motivation to do just that.

1. Don't triple post.

2. Those 3 posts aren't even close to a 100 characters.

3. It would decrease activity on the forum.

Blame the crappy servers. I didnt' triple post on purpose.

The day all your posts will be over 100 characters, then we would probably consider it. Otherwise, 100 character limit is overkill. People already complain about the 25 character limit and 100 character limit would just kill the forums. So my opinion is that 25 character limit is sufficient for now.

Not going to happen. A lot of people won't bother typing up 100 characters for one post, that'll just be annoying. PC is already strict enough with their rules, yet there's still spammers. So, even with your idea, it won't do much. Also, what most people have already said, I agree with them too.

I'm just going to go ahead and close this now, since it's not going to happen, and that's been made clear. It's not good when we have people posting the same reasoning over and over. oo;;
