Have you seen it? U2 and Green Day performed together at the New Orleans' Superdome for Music Rising, supporting the affected by hurricane Katrina.

Some of the songs were: Wake Me Up When September Ends (GD with Edge) The Saints Are Coming (Originally by The Skids) and Beautiful Day (U2's anthem on pop culture besides Elevation...).

From what I've heard, a single will be released too, and that would be The Saints Are Coming.

Only thing I could say is that Billie Joe can't sing Three Sunrises.

Otherwise, it was a great performance. Noteworthy of arena rock bands. :D

Stay on topic, this thread is not about Green Day's discography... Discuss their performance with U2 at the Superdome. =D
Anyways:

Only thing I could say is that Billie Joe can't sing Three Sunrises.

Same, I just don't know why did they play that one. It's like Led-Zepp playing Ramble On, XD But they did succeed to replace BD's mainstream-ness with it... o.o

Websites are making a big deal out of Wake Me Up... with Edge, in my opinion. Only if guitars had more protagonism in that song...

Billie Joe doesn't even play lead on Wake Me Up... it's still pretty much the same thing and Edge just added his melodious flavor and add some trumpets and it sounds awesome.
