We all know (or should) the Manticore Painful Choice combo pre-Painful's banning

well how about...
Exodia
Manticores
Gilasaurus
Generation Shift
Card of Safe Return
Mausoleum of the Emperor

Do you think this would work?
Mausoleum of the Emperor being the more recent released card for this combo to work

......Mausoleum of the Emperor's out!?? Oh, wait...there's one right next to me XP...um, that would work, but 1. the LP damage is a bit too steep (you might be better off using Lily/Stein), 2. Generation's slow speed will require a turn until it can go off so your opponent can get rid of it first, and 3. ...Why didn't I think of that!!???

the LP damage dont matter if u have Safe Return out and Exodia in the deck

u can draw infinite times

It matters if it's a few turns in and you don't have enough LP LEFT...or if your opponent plans ahead, gets lucky, and sets a Ring/Barrel combo...

the chances of that are not high and even if u do... it will just help Manticore revive etc.

Giving the combo the benefit of the doubt that it can work, there's still a problem similar to how Macro Cosmos is awesome but...

screwed in game 2 by the slightest sidedecking.

Again, it's very vulnerable to a rush as well... but, I don't see this as impossible. With the proper support from the other cards to make it so this deck can battle and not only rely on Exodia, this is completely possible. Cyber Dragons fit in with Manticore's tribute so well that it allows the deck to put up a bit of a fight. If we plan in greater detail about the other monsters, this definitely works.
