The Purple or Crystal or Emerald of D/P Gen!

As i was reading somewhere it seems that the next pokemon game would probably be named opal since one of the legendaries that are a key role in the game like mew or celebii or rayquaza is like i think was a alternate form of the word opal so i think this might be the next name of the game.....

yes, the girasol is, so far, the most reasonable suggestion of what giradina will represent for the next game. it also works because while diamonds and pearls are exuberant rocks, girasols are as well. here's a picture of one:

it a clear gemstone that is considered to be very luxurious. looking at the sprite of Giradina, http://serebii.net/diamondpearl/pokemon/487.png, you can't really tell any signs of a girasol gemstone on it, but you must consider that Diaruga's and Parukia's names start with their respective stones: diamond and pearl. Giradina is probably likewise.

Well, that's funny, BECAUSE THOSE ARE UNOFFICIAL. Even the R/S/E and FR/LG. The cartriges aren't official ones, being the color of the game and not having that game's legendary on them. And if you check the box "Naranja" comes in, it isn't even Sugimori, which is what the box art has always been. And the one on "Chaos Black" isn't even a Pokemon!!

Anyways, on topic~ I'll say it would be another very precious gem, but as in G/S/C, they're not always the same thing, seeing as how a crystal isn't really a metal. But R/B/Y and R/S/E were following the pattern of having a 3rd version who's name has something to do w/the first 2. So, mebbe it'll be either a white or black gem of some sort. Or maybe a clear one, as some people have speculated.

I think there will be a third DS game for D/P but then again, they dont have to make another to add to the series. They never remade Yellow (as much as I wanted them to) but I think they will just to follow the Pokemon tradition XD.

Just a quick question... why would Giradina be the legendary for the third game? You can already catch it in both Diamond and Pearl. Does that mean you'll be able to catch Diaruga and Parukia in the third version?

Of course, you can catch Suicune in Gold/Silver and Rayquaza in Ruby/Sapphire, so it wouldn't be breaking any Pokemon traditions.

giradina looks to ugly, all the other ones have looked cool and/or elegant pikachu, suicune, and rayquaza. oh and who names these stones??? girasol means sunflower in spanish, so if anyone ever said pokemon girasol version is coming out i would think of sunkern, or sunflora >.<
