(Note that the Pokemon are in Japanese. You should be able to figure them out, though, on Serebii, so I won't bother posting the translations.)

And apparently, you need to edit the save file itself (through this process, unconfirmed, but I'll let you decide..):

First you need the Pokemon Save Data Processing Tool program.

http://download.yousendit.com/87D522D61D8547C8 is the link to get it that I made. If you can't get it, contact me via PM or by the e-mail takaomiza@hotmail.com.

It is very easy to use, just put on a plain text file the codes found on that page (which are the addresses of the save file) run the program (pokesum) and it will patch the save game with the proper checksum.

You can check the changes using an hexadecimal editor.

The main problem is that the pokemon save file actually contains two slots and the game uses one of them each time it saves and the other the next time.

Pokesum only patches the first slot so, if that turn, the game was using the other, the changes will not remain.

So if you patch the save but nothing happens, try again with another backup after saving one more time.

The test file waza.txt included will give you 99 of each of the TM, it is a good test to see if your game used the first slot or the second.

Yup, it does! It seems to be region-free, for all the Japanese codes I put in it.
So you don't have to import for Japanese Action Replays. XD

Therefore, Action Replay for Pokemon Diamond works, otherwise many wouldn't be able to test these codes.

How do you get the Action Replay to recognize Pokemon Diamond/Pearl? I keep getting the "Unknown game" message when I put Pokemon Pearl in, and I did put the xml file in the Action Replay, and I have updated the Action Replay and I still get that message. Is there any way for me to make the codes work? I really want to catch Aruseus :(

EDIT: I think I got it.... I'm testing it now. It was the ID that was the problem. It worked! I was able to get myself an Aruseus! These codes are awesome.

Are you getting the "unknown game" message when you put in Diamond or Pearl? I went through this, and got confused as well. First, update your Action Replay by pushing the software upgrade button (the button that looks like a DS cartridge), then after it upgrades, it will tell you to reset your DS, then put Diamond/Pearl in again, it will still say "unknown game", but there will be a small GameID (APAJ, and 8 numbers) number under it. Make sure the xml file matches the GameID or it will keep giving you the "unknown game" message. If it doesn't match, open Notepad to change the GameID number to what Action Replay showed you when it gave you the message. Then drag the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl xml file into the Action Replay program. Now if you followed those steps, when you put Diamond/Pearl in it shouldn't say "unknown game" anymore, but Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, which ever one you have. For those who are confused about creating xml files, the files for Diamond and Pearl are in these links:

Forget what I said I just got it on notepad.I save it as an .XML but it says could not load file ok.. I might seem crazy but when I drag and drop them in to the my code lists it says Not a firmware file...

And no i didn't add the XML file because im not sure how and that's the ONLY thing im not sure of ._.

Well, the only way to add the xml file is to drag it. Did you try updating the Action Replay? I never had the "not a firmware file" problem, I was able to drag the xml into it. And, I got a question now. Does anyone know how to add codes in the xml? I need to put codes for some of the other berries other than the Mikuru Berry, Starf Berry, Lansat, and Apicot Berry, which are already on the xml file. The problem is, the Action Replay won't let me put the Pearl xml file in the Action Replay now after I added new codes in it. It gives me an error message, "Can't open file" when I try to drag the edited xml with the updated codes in. Any way to fix that so I can add these codes in the list?

EDIT: Alright looks like I fixed that one too,lol, and Mrbadboy3, about that firmware file error, since I just seen it (that's because I pressed "no" when it said to completely erase the codelist), to avoid that, when it tells you if you want to delete the entire codelist or something like that press "yes" to delete the entire codelist, and Pokemon Diamond or Pearl's codelist should go into your AR with no problem.

Oh god I had my action replay for like 3 days and it's broken like ****. It won't even get to the point where it shows the codes in Code Manager. The top screen just says '' This product is not licensed or endorsed by Nintendo '' Again >_< is there an alternative other than Code Manager ._. Or do I have to buy ANOTHER AR >.< Oh and when it does last for a few seconds it freezes :(

I don't know if it's a code per say, but I do know there is a way you can make the letters of the Japanese Pokemon longer.

Sadly, I don't have the code, because I'm too freakin' lazy busy with other topics and such...

Is there a code for infinite master balls?

I've tried the thing when you press and hold a + b when you throw a poke/great/ultra ball and it acts like a master ball and it worked. I caught two chanseys and a noctowl with the trick and they had full HP. I thought that it was fixed. I want to know the code for master balls because the trick doesn't always work.

Just one thing, after using the Aruseus code, there was a gitch on the AR that didn't let me see all the codes, in other words I could only see some codes, and after reaching that part where I couldn't see more codes, the AR wouldn't let me "go" down on the codelist, I could only move the code selection box up, I fixed it by re-writting the code onto the AR, but I didn't know why it happened...

Ah, have you beaten the Elite Four, and finished the Creselia event? I found out you can only access the hotel once you beat the Elite 4 and finish the Creselia Event. To do this (which may be offtopic, but people need to read this in case they get stuck trying to do it) you need to go to Mio City, and talk to the sick boy. He is located in the house near the boat. Once you talk to him, and the mother, you go to the boat, and talk to the boat owner.

Then, I think you have to go to the top option (or bottom, whichever works, I can't remember it right now) and sail to a new island. Once there, go all the way to the inside of the forest thing (if you're near a cave and a house, and you can run, that's the wrong island) and talk to the Pokemon. It will run, just like Emuritto, and it will leave behind a Creselia Feather. Leave the area (you don't have to come back), heal the boy (you're cruel if you don't, plus it has no other use) and prepare to go into the hotel!

Oh silly me, I posted this in the Simple Questions. I'll post it here again though, thanks for reminding :D

You need:

1 DS / Lite
1 ARDS (Action Replay DS)
1 Pokemon Diamond / Pearl (JAP Version)
1 USB Cable (comes included)
1 Pokemon Diamond/Pearl XML file (GameSpot, or maybe at the code thread)

and

(optional) 1/2 Guy/Girls that will laugh at your Pokemon/Spelling skills/etc.

You need to have the XML file into your ARDS after setting up all the yada yada, and transfer it to your ARDS. Instructions should be in your manual, which I advise to read at all times.

Then, just do the instructions in the AR, and go play...

... go in the PokeMart, talk to the green guy, do whatever event you want to do (you have to beat the Elite 4 at least, for Darkrai you have to cure the boy as well) and bravo, you got the Pokemon.

Hope I helped, and I'll answer the other question while I'm at it:

Yes, you can trade your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl US and JP, because they are region-free, however, you need two DS's.

World Trading Center (I forget the name) is for global trading, not for people to trade to themselves, without running the risk of the Pokemon being taken :(

Well Obviously it won't work with an AR GBA. Is this a GBA game? No. and the codes will not work with the English version because the codes will have to be converted.

1. It will either crash the game. Won't accept. Or will give you a random item or pokemon or whatever.

Well there is Missingno in DP it's just you have to hack with Pokesav to get it. If you hack over a pokemon to be missingno you can only see it as a white block in a double battle. Idk what it looks like anywhere else.

No. It won't happen but I never looked too much in to it... theres a wild pokemon modifier and if you drop all 493 masterballs and try to encounter the '' Missingno '' pokemon your game freezes before seeing it.

Maybe because they like doing it I don't like using my ARDS alot but only on my Pearl and Diamond for the un-obtainable legendary pokemon. Plus this thread is for disscusing codes not talking about why people cheat and how it's wrong. If you don't buy the game becasue there are cheat devices and codes out for it be my guess but, you don't have to cheat on the game you buy.
