Ok here's the deal everyone.
For those that don't know me I am Booda Sack I am and have been making a Pokemon fan game in sphere for a couple of years now. I have been workin on and of with the game due to not enough time and lack of interest in my part.
I've decided to give it one last go.
There is quite a substantial amount done on the game, the code for battle system is aorund the 3000+ line mark. This is a proper battle system with all the features of the real games. The reason there has never been a release is because I've always wanted to release a worthwhile demo that plays and feels like a proper pokemon game.

Anyways the plan now is to work souly on the battle system and then some maps and events to make a demo release worthwile.

I've also been continually looking for dedicated spriters/tileset artists so those positions are still open.

Ok now for info on the actuall game and screens:

Here are the new features so far(I say new because features from previous pokemon games will be in this game)

Reputation system:
You start out as a novice and the more trainers you beat the higher your reputation gets so if you beat a trainer with a good reputation like a gym leader then your repuation will increase more than it would if you just battled a normal trainer.
If you get a really high reputation you will be able to catch ledgendary pokemon.


All pokemon available:
Every single pokemon from the previous games plus the new ones will be available in this game.
You might not specifically be able to catch them all but you can get them.
Like you might have to do certain tasks to get some pokemon.

Four Regions:
You will be able to travel to four regions in the game.
Three from previous games:Johto,Kanto and Hoenn.
Plus a new region.


Two storylines:
There will be the regular pokemon story line plus a new story.

New Story:
Your father is a Pokemon researcher and he has been stationed on Kalma Island to investigate a strange pokemon call that doesn't match any known pokedex entry.
As a birthday present your mom pays for a boat ticket to the Island so you can visit your father.
When you get to the island one of the research team members tells you he has gone into the Kalma Jungle to do some research but when he doesn't come back you start to get worried.
So you decide to wait untill the next day to see if he returns but he doesn't so you then decide to go look for him along with Kirk,one of the research team.
What happens next?
You will have to play to find out.

Old Story:
Once you have completed the first quest you can take on the old quest mode of fighting gym leaders and collecting badges to become the pokemon champ.

Companion:
In this game you have the option of choosing a companion to accompany you on your quest. They will follow you around and you can talk to them,you can battle with them,you can trade with them and you can participate in 2v2 battles with your companion.

B-TV:
You will have a portable TV which you can watch tv.
There will be different channels and lots of different programs.

Forfeit mode:
In battle you will now have the opertuniy to select wether you want to battle for an item or money.
If you pick and item a bag menu with your opnents items in will be shown and you can select which to battle for.

Welcome back Booda, I can't lie I still searched screens from this game for time to time after your absense. I am extremely exuberant for this project, and hope you finish it! This game probably has more potential than Diamond and Pearl.

Ah Booda, it's so great to have you back! IMO CoL is the original great Pokémon fangame and it's what inspired me to get into the game making hobby myself, so you can imagine my delight to see it back in action after a hiatus of too long. I'm eagerly awaiting this one and I'm glad to see it's stood the test of time - to be honest I'd almost lost the faith and thought it wasn't coming back :(

Ok, I've been thinking and it should be possible for a demo release by easter.
I know this seems along way off for just a demo especially concidering how long i've been at this.
The "demo" will include at least one full region, Tilko, and possibly Johto.
It will be essentially the full game just missing Kanto and Hoenn.
By full game I mean it will have all the features fully complete.

I'm just looking for the base EV values of the D/P pokemon as they're pretty much the only thing i'm missing. If I can't find them i'll put in values similar to pokemon of the same kind from previous games. So expect some battle screens with D/P pokemon soon!

Fact is, Booda has his life's priorities marked out, and this game clearly, and quite rightly, isn't at the very top of that list. He'll get round to posting updates when he -has- updates to post. Making a post just to say "Hi, I'm still working on the game, kthxbai" is completely unneeded. Just have faith in him and assume that the game is still in development until the day when Booda tells us that he has discontinued it.

So stop posting and whining about it, it makes the thread look bad. Any more of those posts from this point on will be deleted. Just -wait- for Booda, that's all you can do.

This game has been my favourite one since I saw it for the first time, more than 15 months now, and until today, no better Pokemon Game is being made by anyone - this does not include Nintendo :P

This game looks completely mind blowing. I love the screens except for some but I'm a pretty critical person when I feel like it. Other than that I hope that this game keeps going.

P.S. Hope you do well in school Booda. Don't stress about having to update every day a game should never get in the way with school. Oddly enough I never let that stop me, but I'm not a good example.

Oh and to everyone who is going to reply to this saying he's in collage and thats why he dosn't post there are things called evenings and so unless he's in collage 24/7 i think he could have found a couple of minuites in the last 3 months to post if he was actully doing work on the game
