Pairup and Romance Thread

As most members have agreed to crush and wipe out the current pairup list, I guess that we'll be starting a new thread to wipe out the SPAM and other useless things within the other thread. This time, pairing up will be the same as before, with the exception of...

1) This will be no rules within pairup thread except this rule and the "no unpaired list" rule, so let this be an "organized chaos." Anyone who dares to say "rule #5" or anything like that from the old mess, I'll crush you.

2) There will be no unpaired list as it destroys the intention of the pairup/romance thread. Members will have to find their own methods to know one another if they do want to be paired up, be it email, PM or Instant messengers. We will no longer support those phoney conversations of the following:

A: "anyone who wants to pair with me?"
B: "sure... i'll pair with you"
A: "A and B are now paired *adds to paired up list*"
B: "So... what's your name?"
(Post count for A +2, Post count for B +2)

The above is not supported as it really is not the original intention of the pairup thread...

3) Pairs from the old thread who wants to remain as pairs must "re-register" themselves again on to the pairup list, so sorry! (However if the pairing do mean something to you, just re-registering your pair again shouldn't be bothering you at all)

4) Feel free to suggest a pair! However it's quite rude to suggest someone who's already paired... Suggested possible "couples" are not made on the pairing list automatically, as both of them need to agree with each other first.

5) Hope that we can keep the extremely off topic role play away... feel free to role play, but like always, be sure that you do have something to contribute at the end of the role playing

Fine, I shall explain for frosty...

What he means is if there is a list handed to them tellnig them who is available to pair up with, people will just pick a random person and ask them to to pair up with them. Since frosty is now in control of the pair up thread, he wants to encourage people to pair up with people they actually keep in touch with and actually think of as a friend, not just some random female/male on a list.

Sorry that I am posting in this thread and not pairing up frosty, but someone had to explain to the poor guy. =P

I don't think one person can pairup with him/herself... Dictionary tells Frosty that a pair means "2 of something." And certainly no one is in "control" of everything or else I'll turn myself into the previous hostess of Pairing up. Just act accordingly to how ever you want... If you just feel that there's absolutely no way to manage pairing ups without the good old random list fashion, then... fine with me. I really can't stop you if you feel that you must...

They had a little misunderstanding recently, so that's why I was a little reluctant to place them on the list right away. However, it appears things are just fine between the two now!

DT and Blaine said they got a long really well though, so I was just suggesting.

the main point of starting over is to flush out the old list... there's too many inactive pairs up there, and too many pairs that are just there for the heck of it... and no offense, but eventually some of the "randomly made pairs" from back then will still re-register themselves on to the list... that can't be helped, but we'll surely destroy those inactive pairs...

Plus if your pair truly means something to you, then just signing up on the paired list shouldn't be a hard task to do at all...

Actually, those "randomly created meaningless pairs" were never active... they just signed up saying "A and B are pairs" and then +1 post count for them and the end of story... well they left a small legacy hanging their name on a medal plate for such a long time... and long enough now. And if they were active before but not active anymore... then... Let's not waste space making the list so long and inefficient with names that has like 40 posts and never appeared again within 2 months of time or something...

In the past, there's 1 real couple for every 10 pair, 5 pairs has one of the members < 50 posts (those who join for 2 weeks then leave), and 4 pairs who stayed at PC but are made randomly (they'll be the ones asking "what's your name" after they pairup). In a situation like that... might as well start simple and clean.

As for the "L"... it's just part of my laziness... I didn't even capitalize my own name (the "f"), and I don't really capitalize Kazaa as "KaZaA" too. I only capitalize the first letter at the beginning of a sentence or a proper noun that has 2 parts to it (like Psychic Thunder)... However sometimes I'm too lazy even for that and go with "Psychic thunder". Names including yours, or Moonlight never get their capital letters in the middle of nowhere ;p

(PS: and don't expect me to remember numbers behind names too... I'm a lazy bum who does nothing but sits in front of the computer so sue me ;p)

of course we do... we're running out of water, so we need more ice and snow to melt some of it down to get some water back (mainly it's due to a certain neighboring countries reversing the flow of some certain river to drain out water from 5 certain lakes)

the point of the pairup is to know a person very well first, then ask to be pairups... not the other way around >.<

A pair consists of 2, not 3... save those triangle relationships for fanfictions and soap operas (which I ~love~ to watch romantic conflicts like that ^^;; ).
