It is rather absurd how we humans spend millions and millions of dollars to produce new ways and weapons to kill each other (yes I am one of those weird types that play and watch too much Metal Gear Solid 2 and Neon Genesis: Evangelion)...

But it is quite true... if however we were producing new weapon technology to protect ourselves as a human species in case we're attacked by other foreign species, then that is certainly understandable...

When we went to the castle in the Magic Kingdom when we went to Disney World, they had a shop filled with swords and such. They were really cool! They evem had replicas of famous swords such as 'Excalibur'. Though you can find those pretty much anywhere hehe...

My Father owns samurai swords which are displayed in our Conversation Room.. Never actually used them for killing people ^_^... I'm more of a Bow and Arrow person (Froced Archery Lessons payed off :)) or Throwing Cards :).

After watching Legolas on Lord of the Rings, it looks so cool! But I wouldn't use it to fight; more like practice shooting with targets (Not human! >_>) or something.

i rather use close range usually...swords or possibly spears(your traditional chinese weaponry)...bow/arrows(taint it with the right poison and they go coughing out their guts) thats torturous and then fire arrows, great for seiges and burn their insides...yes...many uses for a bow...although sick...

they don't have a perfectly spherical room painted white inside and out that allows you to trap a person inside... do they? This sphereical room can also spin on its axis by itself to annoy the prisoner enough so that he can't sleep. However it's all perfectly white inside so he can't see "anything" but stuff are moving around him... Ooo... (before torture, do something genetically related so he's now immortal but without any superpower)

Leave them in there for 10 years or so... it'll be as painful as the little tab water torture. Who cares about killing... torture > kill

I like guns too.. I like all sorts of war machines: bombers, jets, tanks, mobile infantry to destroy stuff. And ICBMs!!-International Blastic Missiles. No, I not so sure about the ICBMs (a nuclear weapon), the nature of nuclear weapons are PURE OFFENSE. While the others are at times necessary for self-defense.

And Rome was just starting out- The Stone Age involved only spears and bows and arrows, because the technology was primitive. The Bronze age, the first swords we're crafted. We maybe researching something capable of destroying the world, but not at the moment. Even the USA, quite easy to say the richest country in the world, lacks technology to make biological weapons XD Yup USA certainly doesn't have WoMD alright, but it may not be because the gov't want world peace, but because they just couldn't ;p

(So perhaps their plans to invade Iraq to check for WoMD may not be for world peace, but to dig up some of their research paper to copy and paste ;p)

US is by far richest regardless of how you want to think about it Dizzy, with them making way too much cash. They got debts but they can pay it off anytime too but i guess they just want some debts just to make them look a little nicer (or else they'll be the only country without debts).

The only weapon France has must be French Fries launcher or something... France = tourism, not guns. (And Canada's WoTM: slinghot with Tim Horton timbits)

We were going to have weapons that could be launched from space...there was a program in the 1980s called Star Wars (yes, named after the movies) that was a program that would install nuclear missiles (or was it antiballistic missiles?) in space with launchers and missile-scanning satellites orbiting the earth, but it never came to be. I'm glad we didn't...it would have probably caused enough international tension to keep the USSR together...we'd probably still be messing with them today.

And I almost laugh at how China is more advanced than US... they're at most equilvalent or China isn't as advanced as the US (yet). But it's funny how no one relies on the Patriot missile thingies as it's a failure and not as powerful as it is... Even Israel is using Aero instead of Patriot as the air missile defense (Aero is created by Israel itself).

Bow and Arrows are the most powerful weapons, despite Games that Animate them, you can really get Elemental Propertie Arrows ^_^... Like Artemis' Shafts (Poison Arrows... like tranquilizers) or FireBolts (They set on fire while in the air.) Or Eagle Arrows (They Whistle in the air)... You could also make your own, like Frozen Arrows, Water Arrows, Stone Arrows, ShockWave Arrows... I've seen most of them online but you can make your own.
