THE STORY

In an ancient ruin lies a small black box and while it looks unimportant, it holds many secrets into finding an ancient treasure-a small star-shaped pendent. Anyone wearing these pendent will be granted the power to control ANY Pokemon-whether wild, legendary or tamed. One will also be capable of using Pokemon techniques more powerful then all the Legendaries put together. However, the pendent is heavily guarded by the Legendary Pokemon and the Elites. Since it's possible for the wrong hands to find it, it's protected by many strong trainers and Pokemon.
The pendent was made when an out-of-control war had started between the good and evil Pokemon. The evil Pokemon had discovered a way to control the Legendaries to obey them, but it came at a certain cost-a sacrifice. The object was a small white orb and in order to harness its power one must sacrificest the soul of a living to the orb and orb's power would be activated for one whole week. Innocents, both human and Pokemon, were captured to be used as the offering.
The good side had no choice, but to gather their special abilities and knowledge to create the very pendent that people are trying to protect today. When the war had ended and things had settled people had considered destroying the pendent just like they had destroyed the orb, but it was suggested that if more terror came into the world they may need it and so it was hidden in an underground ancient ruin far from civilization.
Unfortunately, due to such a powerful object the three most well-known villian organizations, Team Rocket, Aqua and Magma have decided to join forces into one huge organization. All three teams have their own highy skilled scientists, trainers, elites and masters and since it's too risky to use the pendent and the elites, gym leaders and masters don't always have time to protect the pendent they have decided upon the help of a very well-skilled scientist who specialises in tampering one's DNA.
Carlos Richardson is the man who created a way to mix Pokemon DNA into human DNA and while his idea of trying to create a human/Pokemon "creature" has failed, he has succeeded in giving normal-born humans the ability of one certain Pokemon. Since he doesn't want to abuse such a technology, he has gathered a small group of young teenagers to help him in his experiment. Every test subject has gone through everything willingly and Carlos treats them like normal people and not like lab Rattatas.
People are still trying to get used to the idea of humans walking around with the ability to change their shape (Mew/Ditto), revive dead plant material (Meganium) or even control minds (Ninetales), but the world also feels safe knowing that these guys are on the good side.

RULES
1.No chatspeak and short posts. It's important to make your posts as interesting as possible, even if you're a terrible role-player. (like yours truely. =P)
2.Due to protecting such an ancient jewelry, we've been granted permission to have a full team of twelve Pokemon instead of six, but no Legendaries are allowed. You can specialise in certain Pokemon, have a well balanced team or just have your favourites.
3.Your Pokemon's level is no higher then fifty and as long as they've reached their evolution level you can evolve them at any time.
4.Certain Pokemon are rare. These include all Dragon Pokemon, Eevee, Feebas, Chansey, Ditto and many more. The starter Pokemon are also included in the list.
5.Evolution stones are also scarce, so is trying to spot an Arcanine, Ninetales, Raichu, Vaporeon and so on. It is almost about as common as seeing a shiny Feebas in Route 119 of Hoenn, but not impossible.
6.Only one Pokemon's DNA can be used by one person and that Pokemon has to be fully evolved, but you can still gain the ability of their previous form/s. For example, if you chose to have Raichu DNA then no one else can pick Raichu. You won't have Raichu's looks, but you will have the ability, senses (hearing for example), speed, agility and so on of a Raichu. This also includes a Vaporeon's ability to melt in water for example.
7.While you can't own a Legendary Pokemon, you can choose a Legendaries ability.
8.Shiny Pokemon are rare, so ease up when deciding on more then one.
9.Do not control a Pokemon/Trainer/character that was not originally made by you. This included your starter Pokemon and any wild Pokemon that you've captured along the way.
10.You do not have a right to play self-mod and control the way things turn out. It's ok for your character to be over confident, but not a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu type person. Remember that your character still has a lot to learn and have not completely tamed their abilities.
Note: The "ability" of a Pokemon doesn't just include those like Air Lock, Blaze, Flash Fire, Drizzle and Levitate. They also include the Pokemon's techniques (mostly the level-learned ones, but Egg and TM moves are possible) and their "natural" abilities. For example, the Pokedex states that Espeon can predict its foe's next move and the weather.

QUICK NOTES
1.If you're one of those role players who usually prefer to make short posts then you may not want to join this RP, because I'm mostly looking for people who enjoy making long post with descriptive detail.
2.TM "abilities" such as Psychic and Metronome do include in your character's abilities, even though this is said to be rare. For example, a Raichu can't normally learn Metronome nor can it learn it by TM. However, it can learn it as a Tutour move and that does count. Umbreon can learn Psychic as a TM move, thus giving you psychic abilities. However, unless that certain technique is the same as your Pokemon's type it won't be as strong as it usually is. A Fire-type using psi techniques such as Psychokenisis are more likely to develope severe headaches, muscle pain and tend to fail in controlling their psy-moves. However, as the old saying goes "practice makes perfect" and Carlos has countlessly advice your character to practice, practice and practice.
3.Only the character with a Mew or Ditto DNA can use the Transform ability. Since Transform is not a TM or Tutour move, so it can only be learnednaturally.
4.Each ability much have their limitations.
5.The forth region Pokemon do not count at the current moment, but they can be in your team or mentioned in your PC or whatever.
6.I'm planning this on being a Were-Anthro role play. So call, because you'll shift from human to beast and back again. However, this won't happen until a little later on and there is a possiblity that it'll never happen. I'll make this completely you choice.
7.If you want to play a human then you can.
8.Your character will act and look like a human, but depending on the Pokemon DNA he/she has will have non-human chracteristics. Such as seeing in darkness as if it were day, able to dart squirrel-like up trees and even leap tree-to-tree, eat raw meat, have the same diet and so on. They're capable of human thoughts, emotions and live-styles, but at the same time have certain Pokemon thoughts, feelings and life-styles. In fact, they can act so human-like that it's almost impossible to tell.
9.It's ok to treat Pokemon as our earth animals, giving a certain Pokemon that's related to one of earth's creature a similar chracteristic/believe. For example, a fox can be cunning, so you can make Vulpix/Ninetales cunning. Bird-of-prey have keen eyesight, so therefore Fearow and Pidgeot can also have keen eyesight. Cat-like Pokemon can be cuious and dog Pokemon can be kept as pets. It's all up to you.
10..Lastly, it's ok to give your Pokemon a different description then normal. For example, a Houndoom with a bushy tail and blue fur instead of a devil tail and black fur. Carlos doesn't just experiment with humans, but he has also made some of your Pokemon stronger then usual. Feel free to change physical shape, colour, type snd so on. You can even mix DNA to create a sort of hybrid, but only up to four Pokemon DNA maximum is allowed and this is rare.

CHARACTER SUBMISSION FORM
Try to give me as much information about your character as possible. I happen to dislike typing a history for my character and if you're like me and can't be bothered to type one yourself you can skip it to be dealt with when you're ready. Shiny Pokemon dhould be indicated by a * next to heir species name.

MY CHARACTER
Name: Americus (Mostly known as "Meri")
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Description: She's petite at 5'5" and has a cascade of straight silvery-lavender hair that reaches the middle of her back. Her skin is pale, almost milk white. Her high cheek-bones reflects beautifully against her bright pink-purple coloured eyes. Her outfit consists of a white trenchcoat, white cut-off jeans shorts, pale lilac midrif top and white running shoes. The trenchcoat has only one button done up near her chest and her acessories include a black choker, gold charm bracelet with a little gold Espeon, Charizard, Skitty and Houndoom charm. Meri seems rather normal at first glance until you see her long Ninetales-like fluffy white tail (that's "tail", not "tails") with a lilac tip.
Personalty: Meri can be described as being optimistic as she expects a favourable outcome in certain events and situations. She has known to get moody and easily annoyed if things don't go her own way. By pure choice, Meri hardly has any friends and would rather travel alone then in the company of others. Because of her hostile and unfriendly manner to other people, most consider her as being antisocial and Meri is only ever polite to her main Pokemon team. She's can be quite the opportunist and this is in fact how she's gotten most of her team and their experience. Americus takes great pride in her team and loves to show them off, but likes to do it in a way that doesn't make it look as if she really is showing off.
History: (to be typed up later)
Weapon: A small dagger with a black handle
Pokemon DNA: Mew
Ability: Meri's ability is like that of a Mew's. She's capable of shape-shifting (hench the tail) and using every single technique that every Pokemon knows (Metronome). Since a Mew is a Psychic-type Meri has no trouble with trying to use to use psi power such a Telekinesis and Telepathy. She can even use Teleport. Meri's abilities are advance campared to a normal Mew's, because unlike a Mew she can change the shape and colour of her wings, tail, fur, ect so that it doesn't look completely like that of a normal Pokemon. For example, Meri could give herself a Mightyena tail, but have the pattern of Magmar's tail and be red and blue in colour. So, she can have a tail, wings, complete form, ect that looks similar to a certain Pokemon, but can also have a different shape, pattern and colour.
Why Did Your Character Willingly Become A Test Subject?: Meri tends to use her abilities to her own advantage and one could think that prehaps she really isn't interested in protecting the pendent, but rather is trying to obtain it for herself. Her motives and intentions tend to be unknown.
Note(s): Meri has vison difficulties and tends to ear glasses when reading or watching TV. She also hates direct sunlight to the eyes.
RPG Example: (I probably won't be able to fit it in here, but I will be starting one for this roleplay once I get some chracters. Your RPG example will help me decide if your character is accepted or not.)

6.Species: Dratini
Nickname: Esperanza (es-pe-RAHN-sah)
Gender: Female
Perso: She's purely innocent and no one has any reason to hate her. Yet some do, because of the fact that she's a dragon. She returns bemused looks to anyone staring at her and gives off strong psychic waves as if she's using her psychic abilities. Of course Myli is an excellent swimmer and is great in battle, but she also hates battling and tries to avoid it as much as possible. She's the only one in Meri's team to be able to translate Pokemon speech using telepathy.
Desc: Her body-shape and fur colour is just like Espeon's-cat-like, slender and silvery-lavender. The edge of her large Espeon ears are lined with a four to five-inch fin crest that acts more like a decoration to a swim-aid. The fur is shorter on her back compared to everywhere else on her body and lining up perfectly with her spine is a eight-inched fin crest that helps her balence in water as she's swimming or turning. It also acts as sort of solar panel to keep her cool or warm thoughout the day. Webbed paws and a Vaporeon-like tail with a noticably larger tail fin (the fin sort of repecents Espeon's split tail) that aids her in all movibilities such as speed, balence and changing directions. The fin crests are more violet then blue or lavender.
Level: 50
Held Item: None

9.Species: Umflareon (Umbreon/Flareon hybrid)
Nickname: Orphyros (Orpht-eye-ross)
Gender: Male
Perso: Always with an evil glint is his eye, Orph has no trouble harming anyone else-from human to Pokemon. His a skilled thorn on anyone's side and take pleasure in making out uncomfortable or annoyed. Quick and nimble, hardly anyone can catch him. Despite his evilish intentions others tend to find it hard to be serious with him with his cutish features such as a bushy tail, small eyes, small dot nose, short muzzle and fluffy collar.
Desc: Body-shape is Umbreonish and fur colour is jet-black with the common rings that are silvery-blue instead of the common yellow. Golden red eyes stare at others with an evil glint and his tail is more Flareon-like: bushy, black and long with a detailed blue ring-band. His ears are also Flareon-like and his neck in decorated with a fluffy fur mane that gives him a cuter appearence that he totally loaths.

Name:Jason
Gender:Male
Age:13
Description:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c315/UchihaLover4Evaz893/Nejiwithswords.jpg
Jason reaches to about 5'11. He has long black hair that reaches down to about the middle of his back. He has purple eyes and things that look like bandages along his right arm and right leg. He wears a light brown short sleeved shirt, dark blue shorts and regular blue sandals.
Personality:Jason is very unpredictable, you can never tell how he will act or if he will be happy or sad. Being unpredictable is what makes people like him so much because it keeps them guessing. Jason loves to listen to music and that is the reason why he is in a school band, and he loves to do gymnastics. He does like to keep to himself most of the time and be quiet but when he starts to talk you will have a hard time making him be quiet. Jason also loves to play video games and at times he will be really lazy. He doesn't really get that good grades but the grades that he does get get him enough points to pass in his school where everybody knows him. Jason loves animals and loves to help people when ever he can, even if the task may seem to be imposable.
History: (Work in progress)
Weapon:N/A
Pokémon DNA:Medicham
Ability: Jason's DNA being combined with medicham's makes him able to be very quick on his feat and be able to do many types of back flips and other gymnastic moves that would seem imposable for a regular human. Since medicham is a psychic Pokémon, Jason can use many telekinetic moves such as telekinesis or telepathy. Jason is now more able to concentrate and calm his mind more easily and is more in tune with himself. Even his punches have become more powerful because of calming himself.
Why did your character willingly become a test subject?: Jason always wanted to be special in a way that he felt like he could do something that no one else could do and once he got the chance, he took it.

(You're both accepted and remember that you can always add in new abilites. Also, your Pokemon's pre-evolved forms count as well. Occasionally I might try to help with your Pokemon's abilites if I happen to know any.

Also, those with Dragon DNA such as Rain are said to be great Pyromanics, even though Charizard is the only true Fire Dragon. Yes, Charizard counts as a dragon if not a Dragon-type.

You may both start posting whenever you're ready. You can be together, at a café, Pokemon Centre or wherever. Remember to give descriptive posts and I don't want to see too much of those "lazy posts" as they're called. Occasionally it's ok.

However, our characters do know each other. Or at least they've seen each other, know their names, prehaps some of their Pokemon, but may not know everything. Our characters may even have a partner, but they tend to work only with their Pokemon.)

OOC:Eh I have time left.

IC:As Jason stood infront of nurse Joy, she began to take his pokemon and started to docter them. After about five minutes, Jason's pokemon were nice and helthy. "Thank you nurse JOy." Said Jason. "Oh, it's no problum." Replyed nurse Joy. Jason then started to head out and find a nice cafa to get a drink. Then as he turned around a corner he noticed a nice little cafa on near him. He headed to the cafa and as he wlaked in and got something to drink, he let out his medicham and got her a drink. Jason and his medicham then found a table and sat down and while sitting down, Jason noticed that this cafa was also a book store. "Hmm, maby i'll buy a book.....if I had money." Said Jason with a small froun. "Oh well, come on medicham lets go practice or moves." Jason and medicham then headed outside and as they walked on they found a nice forest to practise at. The two of them began to jump very high and started to do three sixty's and one eighty's.

Rain walks down a path in the general vicinity of where Jason and his Medicham is training. Once she is sure that she is out of sight of any normal humans, she closes her eyes, and holds out her arms, and a strong wind begins building, and she actually takes off, her long white trench coat keeping her afloat. She glides for a few minutes, looking around, when she sees Jason and his Medicham training. He looks familiar, but I can't remember from where, she thinks.

Name: Nanami Kaimbridge (affectionally refered to as "Nana" by those close to her)
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Description: Nana stands at an average height, about five feet and six inches. There is nothing special about her skin, but it is quite tan from being outside all her life and it never seems to burn. She is surprisingly muscular and strong, but not to the point where she appears to be more male than female. Her long, beautiful hair reaches down to just above her waist. It starts off as a firey red but slowly fades to a golden color about two thirds of the way down. Her bangs are purely golden, and have been grown out to form a circular frame around her face. Set into said face are two emerald green eyes, sparking with a kindness and wisdom that one would not expect of someone her age. Her attire is fairly simple, consisting of a plain white t-shirt, light gray sweat pants, and a pair of dirty white sneakers (the laceless kind).

Personalty: Nana's nature can be purely described as "motherly." She is very kind and generous to all she meets, regardless of their manners and disposition. She tends to be rather protective of her family and friends, and worries when they leave and she cannot see them. Whenever someone needs to talk, or perhaps just needs a shoulder to cry on, she is always there, ready and willing to help. This does not mean that she is constantly calm and mature, however, and would be just as willing to romp around and play with others. Nana tries not to be openly rude to those she meets, and can even be kind to someone she strongly dislikes on the inside. However, should she ever come across someone who hurts the ones she cares about, well, they'd better hope they don't have the "privilege" of meeting her more than once. She feels as though her own emotions should come second in most cases, and would rather see her own friends be happy as opposed to herself. She tends to keep her sadness and despair bottled up inside, always putting up a strong front for the sake of everyone else. She fears that if she does express those feelings, she'll only be dragging everyone else down with her. She considers confidence, happiness, and a good sense of humor to be the best things a person can have.

History: She's lived a pretty normal life up until this point, though it should be noted that she has taken lessons in martial arts. And, there was that one time at her birthday party, she got really mad, and threw her entire birthday cake at her Aunt Gertrude... That was a big cake...

Weapon: Er. She's best suited to fighting with her fists, actually.
Pokemon DNA: Skarmory
Ability: While she is capable of flight, it's not her only ability or even the one she focuses on most. Nana is able to create a thin but powerful coating of metal over her skin. The interworkings of it are so intricate and so similar to real skin that it even forms tiny little holes where pores would be located on her normal skin. The metal is also capable of bending flexing itself, as evidenced when she applies it to her hands. The downfall is that, for right now, she can't apply it to her entire body, as it would cost her too much energy. The most distance she can cover with it is both hands up to an inch and a half past her wrists. But that doesn't mean she can only apply it to her hands; it can be formed on any part of her body. This metal is strong, and nearly impenetrable by physical means. Water will not cause it to rust either. But fire, fire will cause it to melt away from the spot it was formed.

Why Did Your Character Willingly Become A Test Subject?: She felt it was her sole duty and obligation in life in order to make the world a better place for everyone!

...

Not buying it? Okay. To be honest, she's found she's good at little else than fighting. She's doing it because she's looking for a purpose, and has already tried everything else.
Note(s): Nope.

Pokemon:

Species: Quilava
Nickname: Cecil
Gender: Male
Perso: Cecil is the happy-go-lucky sort of creature, prefering to flow through life like a river. Though he is a little impudent, he has his heart in the right place. He's friendly towards most, if not all creatures he meets, though his trustworthyness has more often than not gotten him into trouble. He loves to romp and play; even in battle he will try to enjoy himself as much as he can. Life is a big game, and the only way to complete it thoroughly is to play your way through it. It takes a lot to tick this fire type off, most of the time he will laugh along with those who insult him. He can be a little sarcastic at times, and if anybody he is loyal to is threatened he would be more than happy to get rid of whatever is stopping him from moving forward.

Desc: He's your average Quilava in size in weight, though considerably faster than most. The most striking thing that sets him apart from other Quilavas are his resiliant blue eyes, full of life and energy.

Level: 48
Held Item: Everstone (It makes him feel pretty.)

Species: Nidoran
Nickname: Luke
Gender: Male
Perso: Luke is naturally timid and shy, and normally can't stand to battle anything at all without the help and encouragement of Lanyard. He is afraid of straying too far away from her, and if he should ever be taken too far out of his comfort zone, he will promptly throw himself down and cry until Nana manages to calm him down again. Luke has a very low opinion of himself, despite having won many battles against opponents much bigger than him. He also does not, under any circumstances, want to evolve. Period. He claims to prefer his small size, though it is more than likely that he thinks he'll be afraid of himself should he grow to be several feet taller than he is now. Beyond his timid nature, Luke can actually be quite polite, if you can get him to stand near you long enough to start a conversation.

Desc: Your average Nidoran, though considerably less threatening, and about three times as cute looking. It's hard to be intimidated by this guy, and very easy to underestimate him.

Level: 45
Held Item: Quick Claw

Species: Sneasel
Nickname: Kareta
Gender: Female
Perso: Kareta is a battle-hardened, tough, and self-righteous Sneasel with a sense of humor that is wide and varied, depending on her overall mood and the situation at hand. She lives for the thrill of battle, and the thought of being in danger only spurs her onward. Despite her lust for fighting, Kareta has a good head on her shoulders, and tries not to be too reckless in her actions. She refuses to let prejudices about her race stop her from doing as she likes, and absolutely hates those who misjudge her abilities based on her size. A ready and willing companion, Kareta is always happy to listen and offer her advice to others (whether or not this is a good thing remains to be seen...). She enjoys the company of others and is rarely seen by herself, unless she has good reason to be. She absolutely loves to eat and can consume vast amounts of food in little to no time at all. Although, this tends to leave people wondering where she puts it all, as she certainly isn't fat.

Desc: Lean and agile, fully capable of working in both dark and sunlit conditions. Direct sunlight doesn't seem to bother her, and she seems oddly durable against fire attacks (when they do hit her). Her sharp red eyes contrast greatly with the firey orange color of the feathers jutting from her body. Appears to be capable of flight, though she isn't capable of flying too high or too long.

Level: 48
Held Item: King's Rock

Species: Espeon
Nickname: Valkyre
Gender: Male
Perso: Valkyre is a very prim and proper creature, prefering not to get his paws dirty if at all possible. His version of a roaring good time would most likely be curling up with a good book, or talking a long walk on the beach at sunrise. He believes in going slowly, taking time to stop and smell every rose he happens to pass on his way through life. Despite his very proper attitude and his extravagent way of speaking, Valkyre is a very social creature. He's generally kind to those he meets, though his caring nature will quickly drop out to cold, forced kindness should he meet anyone he doesn't particularly like. He doesn't have a sense of humor so much as he has a great deal of patience; you won't catch him cracking any jokes, but he'll easily go along with and laugh at the ones other people make. He can also be very sarcastic.

Desc: There isn't a great difference in appearance besides his startlingly deep, dark blue eyes, but he's definetely far more physically advanced in both strength and speed than most Espeons. He has developed two different types of psychic; these can be identified by color. A blue aura represents a form of psychic that will not harm the one it is used on; the red aura indicates the type of psychic that inflicts mental pain on the subject it is being used on.
Level: 50
Held Item: Mental Herb (Actually ground up into a powder and made to hang around his neck in a thin plastic capsule; the mere scent of it is all he needs in order for it to work.)

Species: Bellossom
Nickname: Primrose
Gender: Male (Yes, you read that correctly.)
Perso: Primrose is definetely one of the most cold, uncaring creatures you will ever have the displeasure of meeting. He exudes a cool air of terrifying calmness that demands respect; his aura is that of one who can command the total attention of an entire crowd of creatures much taller than himself without even having to raise his voice. His emotions don't go too far in one direction, he is never too sad, angry, or happy about anything at all. Primrose is seeminly incapable of feeling any sort of kindness, any caring attitude you may encounter is only the result of him knowing that this sort of action is needed in order to keep himself alive. He rarely speaks, and when he does his voice is either dripping in sarcasm or devoid of any emotion at all. Overall, he comes off as someone you'd definetely want as an ally but probably wouldn't want as a friend (if it's even possible to befriend him at all...).

Desc: A rampaging, terrifying machine of death... who just happens to be little over one foot tall and has pretty red flowers attached to his head. He's bright green from his head, all the way down to the feet that we never actually get to see. Around his waist (if you can even call it that) is an array of different shades of dark green leaves, forming a sort of skirt that reaches all the way down to the ground. Set into a nearly consistently frowning face are a set of deep, hazel colored eyes that just ooze hatred and disgust.

Level: 50
Held Item: Scope Lens

Species: Eevee
Nickname: Sangue
Gender: Female
Perso: Sangue is a hyperactive maniac with a bloodlust. She has nothing against stealing for the sake of living, killing for the sake of fun, and fighting for the hell of it. She's annoying, overconfident, haughty, and really just doesn't care what other people think about her. Sangue is sarcastic to a fault, and has a love for teasing others. Her insulting attitude can make just about anybody furious at her, and she has no problems with that. Not to mention that she can be rather blunt with her emotions, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Combine this with a complete lack of tact and recognition of other people's feelings, and you can see just how easy it is to hate her. It is rare to see her feel guilty or try to help others, but there are just some times when she feels she'd rather befriend someone than kill them. This process will seem completely random to anyone but her. There are points where it will seem like Sangue has a very large amount of patience, and there will be other times where her fuse will snap almost immediately. It depends entirely on the situation and the people involved.

Desc: She is of short stature, yet surprising quickness and strength for one her size. She is capable of changing her facial expression to fit any situation as necessary, going from cute as a button to menacing in the short time it takes to blink one's eyes. Where an Eevee is normally brown her fur is pitch black, appearing soft but lacking any sort of sheen, even in direct sunlight. Her neck ruff and tail tip are midnight blue, and her eyes are a bright, blood red color. It should be noted that her teeth and claws are considerably sharper than that of a normal Eevee.

Level: 50
Held Item: Shell Bell

Species: Gyarados
Nickname: Rikotsu
Gender: Male
Perso: Rikotsu is a rather distant creature, he doesn't seem to care about much of anything, even himself. He is unnervingly calm at all times, and tends to make people think that he is quite emotionless. Absolutely nothing gets him angry, and he feels no need to take revenge upon those who have wronged him. He brushes off everything that happens to him and life just sort of goes on.

Desc: Rikotsu is slightly larger than the average Gyarados, stretching out to a good twenty-two feet long. His scales are of a darker blue color, and they are rather tough and hard. He has quiet, calculating scarlet eyes that hold a constant look of calmness and apathy. He is quite strong; both his elemental and physical strength seem to be an even match. He can manuver himself while upon land, but it is clear that he is much more agile in the water. He has a ravenous appetite and can consume enough food to rival a Snorlax. And yet, one must wonder where all the extra weight goes as it doesn't seem show on him at all.

Level: 46
Held Item: Lax Incense

Species: Manectric
Nickname: Karasute
Gender: Female
Perso: Karasute has a rather jumpy personality. She tends to be scared of just about anything, and though her cowardice is strong she will reluctantly cast it aside if it involves helping one of her friends. She can be rather loud sometimes, and she never starts fights if she can help it. And yet, somehow, she always manages to attract trouble to herself. Be it her natural curiosity or just the fact that fate seems to have it in for her, she can never get through a single day without something bad happening to her, grandscale or otherwise. She instantly warms up to those who are kind to her, and has a large amount of respect for those who are intelligent or instantly recognized as leaders. Her thinking process isn't that great and she often says things that can be regarded as completely out of line, but her heart is in the right place and she is actually quite good at keeping secrets.

Desc: Karasute stands at about four foot ten at her full height, not sure what that would make her at should she rear up onto her hind legs though. Her yellow and blue fur is short and staticky, but still rather soft to the touch. She has warm, inviting purple eyes that seem to sparkle like amethysts. She isn't too quick in battle, and is usually hit more than she can dodge, despite her species being one of the faster kinds. But, due to the constant battering, she has built up a strong defense and endurance. She excels more at physical attacks than elemental ones, she will often try to combine the two to give herself a bigger advantage in battle.

Level: 42
Held Item: Shell Bell

Species: Umbreon
Nickname: Luahana
Gender: Male
Perso: Kind and caring by nature, Luahana is about as free-spirited as they come. He lives for the simple enjoyment of life, and thoroughly enjoys just existing. To him, the best kinds of days are the ones spent running through flower fields. He's a little lacking in the brains department but is always willing to lend an ear (if it suits him) and offer his words of wisdom. His optimism, coupled with his seemingly short attention span, causes people to either be amazed or annoyed as heck with him. In addition, he has a deep rooted love for flowers and plants of any kind, and makes a point to befriend any grass type pokemon he comes across.

Desc: Standing at a height that is a tad smaller than that of a normal Umbreon, Luahana claims hold to an appearance that is quite possibly the least intimidating kind of appearance you will ever set eyes on. His silky fur is a pure as snow white color, and the rings located on his body are a calm, carnation colored pink. Set in his face are two aqua colored eyes which are quite impossible to read correctly. The eyes may be the window to the soul, but I suppose this does not apply to him. To add to this strange inability to read his expression, the reflection of light in his eyes never seems to grow dimmer or brighter regardless of the lack of light an area has. His expression is always a cheerful one; he has a bright grin adorning his face and a flower (which he changes daily) tucked behind his left ear. The sound of his voice is downright melodic; it's inexplicably soft and easy on the ears. His scent seems to be mostly consumed by the strange fragrance of the white flowers of the Night-Blooming Cereus; couple this with his overall appearance and you can see why it is so easy for him to be mistaken as a female until he speaks (and even then people still doubt themselves).

Level: 43
Held Item: Lum Berry

Species: Shiny Flygon
Nickname: Furai
Gender: Male
Perso: Furai is cold, indifferent, and definetely not someone you would enjoy hanging around. He is serious to a fault, never allowing himself to feel any emotion other than extreme calm, as well as annoyance. He has little tolerance for those who mess around and play all day, and can't stand those who don't take life and honor seriously. He is ready to return every insult with an equally devastating insult of his own, and always has a full supply of witty and/or sarcastic comments. He is not one to be messed with, and likes to make sure other people know this. He and Primrose share a mutual respect for each other, albeit a grudging one.

Desc: Furai is a shining Flygon, thus having aqua replace the normal dark green and orange replace the red coloration of a normal Flygon. Coupled with this is a flurry of sparkles and stars that constantly dance around him. Furai has amazing physical prowess, and though he is rather slow on the ground his aerial speed is second to only a few other creatures. An apathetic aura emits from him at all times; even the sparkles that dance around him seem cold and lifeless. He cares little for what he eats, and thus his immune system has adapted to fit this trait. As for a scent, he smells mostly of rocks and minerals, with an ever so faint hint of blood thrown in.

Level: 50
Held Item: Scope Lens

Species: Sandslash
Nickname: Saritsu
Gender: Female
Perso: Being a freeborn creature, Saritsu is decidedly content with who and what she is. She doesn't see her different coloration as a problem, and due to being grossly underestimated in battle she usually doesn't have a hard time laying the smack down on her very surprised opponents. She enjoys a good romp, and will even tend not to take battle seriously unless Nana tells her to. Saritsu is more easily compared to that of a flowing river, taking life as it comes at you and not really caring about what's just around the riverbend until she gets there. She's just a generally carefree, happy creature, and due to her passive nature it takes quite a bit of effort to get her angry or upset. She's more likely to laugh at those who insult her as opposed to slapping those who insult her.

Desc: Being of the miscolored variety, but definetely not the 'shiny' type, Saritsu is already considered to be 'not your average Sandslash.' Her spines have taken on a dark, crimson red color, and her hard skin is darker and more tan in color than a normal Sandslash's skin (and it definetely lost that almost greenish edge to it.) Her stomach and muzzle are bright tan in color, as opposed to the normal white. In fact, the only color that hasn't changed is the color of her claws; the scarily sharp, gleaming white claws attached to both her hands and feet. Set in her face are two adorably cute blue eyes, which just throws off the 'tough' image she's supposed to have entirely.

Level: 47
Held Item: Soft Sand

Species: Breloom
Nickname: Lanyard
Gender: Female
Perso: Lanyard is a prankster at heart; she loves to tell jokes and play harmless tricks on others. She's a goofy character who enjoys taunting others, constantly searching for the perfect 'taunt' opponent (as in, she much more enjoys taunting when the person is smart enough to realize she's just joking, and thus will taunt her back). When not pulling some sort of prank, she can be seen happily attempting to cheer up the downtrodden, or just sitting and talking with others. Lanyard dislikes any serious, moody environment, and will be as unstable as she needs to be in order to get a chuckle out of someone. She's a bit of a chatter-box, but if someone actually tells her they need to talk she will gladly shut her yap and listen (her advice may not always work out though). Despite all her pranking, she actually is a good and kind person, if not a little crazy sometimes.

Desc: Nothing particularly special to note about her, though her agility isn't something to scoff at.

Level: 44
Held Item: Lax Incense

(The character Nanami Kaimbridge has been accepted. Fantastic description of Nana and her Pokemon, by the way. Plus, that dancing Mawile is so cute! ^_^ You may begin posting when you're ready.)

A silvery-lavender haired girl in her early teens strolled through the park area near Goldenrod City in Johto. The same park that held the Bug Catching Contests that she never had any interests of joining. Her bright purple-pink eyes scanned the area with disdain the white-furred Vulpix occupining her semed uninterested on what was around her.

A conversation started between the two as they continued their walk. The one-tailed Vulpix was complaining about a battle they had previously thought. Judging by the conversation they had won, but the Vulpix still wasn't happy for some reason.

"Fiamma, you know how long I've been trying to find a Fire Stone to evolve you. You shouldn't be so bothered about what other people say about you." The girl paused, stopping her pace before speaking again. "You beat that Mightyena fair and square, did you not?"

~I was a higher level,~ the Vulpix pointed out in her own native tongue, but the girl didn't seem to have trouble understanding her. The Vulpix took the advantage of not walking by grooming her fur with a pink tongue that really seemed to stand out against her white fur. ~By the way, I overheard that Carlos has assigned you and others to protect some ancient pendent.~ At her trainer's slightly annoyed look she added quickly, ~I did not mean to overhear, Meri. I was walking past and it was unintentional.~

"Doesn't matter anyway," the girl known as Meri said. The Vulpix cast her an uncertain look. "You were bond to know sooner or later anyway. You and some of my other Pokemon weren't here last time."

Fiamma looked puzzled. ~Last time? Meri, what is this pendent? Why is it so special that it needs to be protected?~

Her trainer didn't reply, instead turning away from the Vulpix and walking off.

~Meri?~ The Vulpix's tone was worried as she followed her trainer through the park.

((Yay, thank you! =3))

Spread out quite comfortably in the shade of a nearby tree was probably the largest picnic blanket known to mankind. Foods of every kind (probably enough to feed an entire family for months on end) were spread out on the red and white checkered mat, all looking and smelling quite delicious. Salads of all sorts, positively huge sandwiches ranging from peanut butter and jelly to ham and cheese, fruits, veggies, it had everything. And there, sitting comfortably at the corner farthest under the tree was but one human girl who certainly didn't look like she'd be able to finish all that food by herself. Where was the rest of her family or friends, those who might share this food with her? Why, there were all there, right there in the National Park. She just needed to find them. Or, rather, have them find her. Surely this would take quite awhile, right? Knowing this would happen, the red haired girl took a deep breath and cupped her hands to her face.

"LUNCH!!!"

Within mere seconds, an entire congregation of various types of Pokemon had the picnic set up completely surrounded. Onlookers who weren't used to this by now looked on in awe as each of the twelve made their entrance, storming past the bystanders as though they were of little importance (and they were). First to swoop in was a dragon of terrifying calmness, followed shortly by an equally terrifying Gyarados. Next came a rather nasty looking Bellossom, who must have been honing his skills somewhere close (you could tell by the freakishly accurate acid burns on the trees nearby). Next to pop up (and I mean that literally) was a red-spined, tan skinned Sandslash. She burst from underground, holding tight to a cute little Nidoran who looked to be scared enough to faint, and sent small bits of rock and soil flying this way and that. Appearing next to them in the same instant was one very girly Umbreon and one proper looking Espeon, both appearing a little worse for the wear (it was later revealed that the cute little black Eevee currently devouring potato salad had been leading them on a merry little dance through the park in pursuit of what they had been tricked into believing was a very rare and valuable berry). The next one to make her shocking appearance was none other than that jumpy, skittery Manectric the team had come to know and love (pun totally intended), followed shortly by the fast kicking Breloom. Both went right for the sandwiches.

But, where oh where were Cecil and Kareta? Late for lunch as usual, the whacky pair could be seen running neck and neck through the park. It didn't matter what they had to cut through, they were headed on a straight line for the picnic and nothing was going to stop them. Passersby who were used to this by now didn't even bother to look up as the Sneasel and Quilava raced past them; most just lifted or moved what they needed to and put it back in place as though it had never been moved at all. Sharp green eyes met overconfident blue ones as they zoomed through the area, each more absorbed in watching how fast the other was going as opposed to where they were going. But, at the last second, Kareta came to a quick halt, sticking her foot out in the same swift movement. Too slow to catch her prank, poor Cecil was sent tumbling over, paws akimbo. He managed to land safely in Nana's lap, but not before upsetting a plateful of potato salad, which landed neatly on her head. The entire group was silent for a moment, all of them staring at the completely bewildered Nana and the bashful little Quilava that sat in her lap, waiting for what he was sure would be a stern talking to. She raised her hand in the air; onlookers turned away and waited for the smack they were sure was coming. Instead, she placed a finger to her now very messy hair and swiped some of the potato salad onto it. She then proceeded to eat it, frowning slightly as she swallowed it. She then reached over to the salt shaker and proceeded to dump quite a bit of it on her head. She looked around at her confused Pokemon and grinned.

"What? It needs more salt!"

The entire group burst into their own forms laughter, save for the Gyarados. Even the normally cold and hateful Primrose and Furai managed small, albeit sarcastic smiles, though they quickly faded to the normal emotionless expression they had before. Nana reached down and hugged Cecil close to herself, laughing merrily as the paper plate and a bit of the potato salad fell to the ground. Knowing he was forgiven, he quickly struggled out of her grasp and launched himself into the mess known as their big, monthly lunch. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Please may I start?
Thankyou!
(You said 'the more the merrier', didn't you? Oh well, who cares?)

---
'Well, don't say I didn't warn you.'
Ophelia Starling walked down the urban-ish valley with her faithful companion by her side, Sparky. The shiny Umbreon ignored her.
'Was it my fault you were humiliated in public?'
Still no reply.
'Gggrrr...'
~No need to get all worked up. I humiliated you too, didn't I? So we are in this together.
Umm...Ophelia? You just walked past our house.~
Ophelia swirled around. That darned Sparky was right. She'd walked straight past it in frustration. She quickly retraced her steps back to Number 39.
A few hours before they had both entered a stupid dancing competion (much to Ophelias fury). In an attempt to dress Sparky up, she hurriedly pushed a long human dress on him. On the stage, he had accidently tripped up. This is how they ended up walking home humiliated.
A few minutes later, phelia kicked off her shoes and sat by the fire. Before she had a chance to relax, though...
~Ophelia? You've got a letter addressed to you. I'll pass it over.~
Sparky jumped on Ophelias lap and dropped it.
~So what does it say?~
Ophelia opened it:
To the owner of this house:
You have been invited to a firework display at the old ruins. Please attend the day after this notice arrived.
'I wanna go now,' beamed Ophelia, 'I love fireworks!'
Sparky smilied. He'd had enough for one day though.
~See ya tomorrow!~

(Your personality is however you want it to be. You can be good, evil, mysterious, paranoid, thoughtful, romantic, ect.

MudkipRocks, your character needs more description, personality, ect. In fact, I suggest you read my list of rules since you've broken at least one. For example, you choose to use Mudkip DNA when the rule stats that only fully evolved, non-evolved or legendaries are allowed. Plus, I'm not sure if you just want the Torrent ability, thought "ability" meant just the Pokemon's ability (like Torrent, Overgrow, Blaze, ect) or you didn't read all of my first post.

You're unnaccepted until you clear things up. No one really knows anything about your character. Especially what she looks like.)

~Nanami Kaimbridge~

Nanami's peaceful picnic with her Pokemon was interrupted with a loud 'pop' and the sound of arguing voices. Appearing literally in the middle of nowhere was a tall girl, her lavender hair with a silvery sheen. She was have an argument with her white-furred one-tailed Vulpix and since not many could understand the Pokemon language it was more like a conversation that went like "Vulpix vul! Vul!" and "Don't you start that again!".

They were too far away for anyone to hear the full of their heated debate, but it was obvious that the two were peeved at one another. The Vulpix had plonked herself on the ground, stubborn-like as the girl crossed her arms over her chest and curled her lilac-tipped white fluffy tail around her ankles. The tail was the only unusal thing about the girl, otherwise she seemed normal.

If one was close enough they could catch a few words from the human like "pathetic", "difficult" and "annoying".

Finally the girl turned to leave, but the Vulpix stayed put.

(Edit: MudkipRocks, I don't recall saying you could start and I don't appreciate people inviting themselves to my RPs without me accepting their character. It's extremely rude and your character was rejected, but given a chance to be fixed anyay.

As soon as they arrived, Ophelia loked around.
~Umm...Phe? There doesn't seem to...WATCH OUT!!!~
Ophelia turned around.
'Woah...arrgghh!'
~Ph...Phe? Where are you? Ophelia?~
---
Inside a huge black bag, a dark figure stood. By him, a second one seemed to frown.
'Remind me, Carlos, why we captured a girl?'
'No other people wanted to volunteer. We needed another. Oh, stay still, please.'
Ophelias eyes were wide with terror as a huge needle was injected into her skin.
'Enjoy the fireworks, girl.' grimaced the second one as Ophelias world went black.
---
'Um, Ophelia?'
Ophelia opened her eyes. She could understand Sparky more clearly.
'Eeerr...you might want to take a look around you.'
She did just that. She was in a lab of some sorts.
'No...I mean, look a yourself.'
She glanced at herself. Oh God Oh God. No way...

Sorry. I'll try again.

I am a mixed personality person. At times (like a crisis) I can be afraid and not willing to do it. However, when I am not afraid, sometimes people just GET ON MY NERVES (ahem) I want to take charge and get stuff done before everyone else. I'm competitive.
But I can be lovable (0.o) and maybe even cute. I may be hard to make friends with, but if they succeed I am devoted and loyal.

MudkipRocks, I'm going to list the things you did wrong, so that people can hopefully learn from it.

1.You obviously did not read my rules. You broke one one-the one about making your posts as interesting and as descriptive as possible. You also broke rule six-the one about having full Pokemon DNA only.

Once again, you've obviously read little to nothing about how this role play works. Especially since you've also failed to read that Carlos would never force someone to be a test subject and yet in your little post he's a creep.

"Carlos Richardson is the man who created a way to mix Pokemon DNA into human DNA and while his idea of trying to create a human/Pokemon "creature" has failed, he has succeeded in giving normal-born humans the ability of one certain Pokemon. Since he doesn't want to abuse such a technology, he has gathered a small group of young teenagers to help him in his experiment. Every test subject has gone through everything willingly and Carlos treats them like normal people and not like lab Rattatas."

Did you read that bit? Carlos, nor the few people that work with him will ever force any character to become their test subject.

2.Your character lacks too much description and it's clear that you really couldn't be bothered with her. Also, nowhere does it state that her Umbreon is a shiny and yet it does in the actual role play. In fact, when it comes to giving your character a physical appearence, you fail. People are not mind-readers and can't read your mind to "vision" your character, so detail is important.

3.The fact that you invited yourself into my RP without waiting for me to accept you or anything.

4.That you've continued posting without waiting for my response.

5.You have a clear "I don't care" attitude.

There's probably many things, but I'm too worn out to even think of them, but I suggest you take note about what people type before you decide to join in.)

Okay, I'm sorry. Its just that I did read the rules, but I didn't understand them well. You know I have ADHD? I makes my brain hurt reading this stuff. Oh, and Carlos isn't the creep. Its the other guy thats a creepo, not him.

And I didn't think you'd come back from yesterday. Its just I want to make an RP without needing to be started. Its really annoying.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be off.

((So, can all characters infused with Pokemon DNA understand Pokespeak, or is that an ability meant specifically for Americus only? I know her Espeon/Vaporeon hybrid... Mil-something, can translate it telepathically, but that Pokemon doesn't appear to be nearby right now, unless she's translating from within her Pokeball, so... yeah. ^_^; Just wonderin'.))

Nanami's green eyes flickered toward the sound of the popping noise; she would've moved her entire head if it weren't for the fact that she was currently doubled over from the weight of her now soaking wet hair. Rokitsu had been so kind as to dump quite a generous amount of the aqueous liquid on her in order to rinse out the thick, mushy potato salad from Cecil's previous accident, and with the amount of hair she had, having it completely soaked all the way through can make it very heavy. She continued twisting and squeezing the extra water out of her hair as she listened to the argument of the strange, lavender haired girl and her equally strange vulpine partner. 'This sounds pretty serious- did she just call that Vulpix pathetic? Ouch... Still, I shouldn't meddle, it's not any of my business, and it's not like she's hitting the poor creature,' she glanced at the poor white fox sympathetically, then looked back up at her trainer, 'Hey, wait a minute, is that a...?'

The golden banged girl was struck with a sudden realization. This human was no ordinary human, she was Americus! Nanami could recognize that fluffy, lavender tipped tail anywhere, and she nearly smacked herself for not noticing it before. The pure white Vulpix should've been another tip; most of Americus' Pokemon had a color scheme similar to that one. Feigning ignorance of the fight she had just accidentally eavesdropped on, she stood and waved her right arm high in greeting, a bright smile gracing her features.

"Hey, Americus!" she yelled after the rather peeved looking girl, "Heeeeyyy!! You hungry over there? We've got more than enough food to feed you and your friend(s) there, so come on over!"

The Pokemon that weren't too busy eating looked up and smiled, as though they were also inviting Meri and Fiamma to join in the huge lunch (these included: Luahana, Valkyre, Lanyard, Saritsu, and Luke). There was more than enough food, and there was still plenty untouched by the furry reach of Nana's fellow companions.

(MudkipRocks, I don't know much about ADHD, but you don't go around doing what you want just because you don't understand it. Plus, they were basic rules. If you don't understand something then ask or don't join. Plus, you did completely take control of my character (Carlos) and turned him into a completely different character then what I intended. Carlos wouldn't hire a creep to work for him, nor would he just stand there while someone captures some inocent person.

Raposa: I was meant to mention this earlier, but I forgot. When injected with a Pokemon's DNA you may or may not be able to understand Pokemon. This is completely optional. ^_^)

~Nanami~

"Nanami!" The Vulpix squealed gleefully as she bounded away from her trainer to meet the older girl. The vulpine seemed happy to see Nanami and was greeting the girl with affectionate licks of her tongue. It was well known that Fiamma wanted to be trained by some other trainer other then Meri.

Americus eyed the red-gold haired girl and nodded. "Hey, Nanami. I haven't seen you in a while. We'll be glad to join you. We're starved." She grabbed eight Pokeballs from her belt one at a time, dumping them on the ground to release the creature inside.

A serpentine Pokemon was the first to burst out of it rounded home. Her white-lavender scales glinted against the sun's rays as she eyed the park with her pink-lilac gaze. The dragon gave a shy smile as she slithered towards the food.

Eiradra the white Pikachu chittered cutely as she bounded her way towards a tree housing bright red apples, completely ignoring everything else around her. The Meowth known as Orzilonus instantly spread hiswings wide and glided to the white-furred Vulpine. It was well-known that Orz and Fia got alone very well together.

The Growlithe/Poochyena crossbreed took his loyal place beside Americus, insisting on following the tailed girl everywhere, much to her annoyance.

"Lykou, sit."

The Ithena sat on his hunches with a grin to make anyone nervous or uncertain. Despite his loyality to Americus one couldn't help wonder if he was just faking.

The two eeveelution hybrids, Mylireis and Orphyros were walking towards the picnic area together. While the Water/Psychic cross, Myli was walking with a calm gait, the Dark/Fire type Orph kept trying to annoy her by nippng at her heels. She barely cast him a glance as she continued on her way, picking up her pace slightly.

Lastly was the female white-skinned Charmander known as Mauruz or commonly called Ruz or Ruzzy by Orph. She stared at everyone with her usual wary glance.

OOC: I know there are some mistakes in there. I just cannot find them anymore. Let me know what you think.

Name: Shaden Woodsworth
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Physical Description :

Shade is a short man standing at only 5 feet 6 inches. Do not let his short stature fool you though. He is a very strong individual and can hold his own when it is called for. Shade's long, curly, black hair hangs low on his head, covering his ears and reaching his neck in the back. His eyes are a brilliant light green but are covered by his hair. Shade has multiple scars on his face, keepsakes of his childhood. He also has an unkempt goatee and a few earrings in his ears. Although he hates to admit it, Shade is not that bad looking a guy.

Shade's lower body is muscular thanks to regular exercise and conditioning. The constant fighting he got into didn't hurt either. His skin is very tan and, unlike his face, free from scars. Shade likes to wear a white undershirt, a dark blue collared shirt, and dusty style jeans. In his pocket, Shade carries a locket that his little sister gave to him. It has a picture of her on one side and him on the other.

Mental Description:

Shade is a guy who hates to see others picked on. He has spent most of his life defending those who were too weak or unable to fight for themselves. If he sees anyone abusing power or using others fight for him or her, Shade is very quick to do something about it, even if he is outnumbered and or out powered. While he always acts for good reasons, Shade can sometimes overreact to situations and cause himself a lot of trouble. He can even become so obsessed with doing what he thinks is right that he becomes like those he tries to stop.

Shade has very few friends. It is not because he is not a good guy. Shade just finds it more comfortable to separate himself from others. He feels that if people are around him, they put themselves in danger. For this, Shade travels mostly alone and only travels with others when it is absolutely necessary.

History

As a young boy, Shade lived with his mom, Debra, his dad, Keith, and his sister, Amanda is a small village called Roseleaf. Amanda was always very close to Shade. When he got out of a class at school, Amanda would be waiting for him. If he went to hang out with his friends, Amanda would beg to come along. When he did his chorus, Amanda would always try to help. While some would find this annoying, Shade liked the fact that his sister looked up to him.

When Shade was 10 however, everything changed. One day Shade was approached by one of his friends. He told Shade that one of their friends was in trouble. A bunch of thugs had threatened to beat him up. It was up to them to help him. They decided to meet that night to solve the problem. Shade was worried though. He had never been in a fight before and was afraid he could not handle it.

Knowing that Amanda would try to follow him, Shade went to bed early and snuck out the window when the time came. When he saw his friends, they were facing two other guys by the woods. Upon walking up, the two thugs started to laugh.

"I see you brought some friends to take some of your beating. How thoughtful of you," The bigger of the two thugs laughed.

"What is your problem?" said Shade glaring at the thugs. "Just leave my friend alone. He didn’t do anything to you."

"I am going to beat him up because I can. You can join him for all I care. BOYS! Let's have some fun."

Just then, five more boys came out from hiding and charged at the three friends. Knowing they didn't have a chance, all three of them took off running. As he passed an ally, Shade caught a glimpse of his sister’s face.

"Amanda RUN!" was all Shade could think of doing as he continued his pace. He could hear her behind him.

"Get the girl too," shouted the thugs from behind. Shade picked up his pace as fear overwhelmed him. He heard something fall. His heart stopped, his mind stopped, and his everything in him wanted to stop, but his legs continued to run.

"SHADE! PLEASE HELP!" He heard the cries but could not stop. He continued to run until he forced his upper body to fall forward and hit the ground. Tears ran down his face. He had to go back. He could not leave her. Picking himself up, Shade ran back to where his sister fell. She was there, along with two of the thugs. They were kicking her. Enraged, Shade charged them and tackled them both to the ground.

Shade did not know how long he fought; he just knew that he won. As the two thugs ran off, Shade moved to his sister. She was beaten and bloody but still alive. As they locked eyes, Shade could tell more than just her body was hurt. As she passed out, the last thing she said was "Why did you keep running?" Shade took her home. She healed her wounds but not her trust.

Amanda stopped following Shade after that. In fact, she stopped talking to him as well. She would run when he came near her. This continued until Shade was 17. In that time, he had trained. He had he trained to be strong, strong enough to defend others. To defend other to the fullest, he needed to be a trainer. He left his home to do that. On the day he left. Shade took a picture of him and Amanda and put the in a locket. He showed it to Amanda.

"One day, I will be worthy of wearing this locket. I will make up for what I did to you. When I have, I will return with this locket around my neck. I love you, Amanda."

As he walked out the door, he heard a long lost voice. "Be safe Brother."

With a smile and a wave, Shade left to fulfill his promise, to be strong enough to protect her.

Weapons: N/A

Pokemon DNA: Gengar

Abilities:

During the days, Shaden has no special abilities. It is only when night falls that he is able to unleash his powers. Shaden has the ability to move through shadows, making him almost impossible to catch at night. Shaden also has the ability to transform into something more sinister. Shaden's eyes turn red and his body becomes very dark, almost like a living shadow. He will start to emit a pale blue gas from his body that, while not lethal, can cause people to hallucinate. Although he can not cause damage while being transformed yet, Shaden is slowly gaining power and learning more abilities.

Why did Shaden become a Test Subject:

Shaden became a test subject because he needed power to be able to protect others. He saw it as an opportunity to fulfill his promise.

Pokemon:

Species: Zangoose
Nickname: Calloway
Gender: Male
Perso: Calloway is extremely serious most of the time. He is always focused on the next battle and rarely has any fun. He is very proud pokemon and refuses to be babied. He is very dependable and strong. Calloway is very protective of the other pokemon around him. He considers them to be his family and will do anything to protect them. Calloway is Shaden's all around best pokemon. During battle, he is calm and collected but has the ability to unleash powerfull attacks. Calloway was Shaden’s first pokemon
Desc: While normal in most respects, Callaway’s normal, red marking have changed to a dark blue, almost black color. Callaway’s tail has also started to gain this color on the tips.
Level: 10
Held Item: Quick Claw

Species: Nuzleaf
Nickname: Adeff
Gender: Male
Perso: Adeff is the most clever of Shaden’s pokemon. He is a strategist by nature. While his fighting ability is not up to par with the rest of the pokemon, Adeff can easily outwit an opponent and exploit their weaknesses for a victory. However, Adeff also has the tendency to over-analyze a situation that only calls for a simple solution. Adeff was Shaden’s fifth pokemon
Desc: The only difference between Adeff and any other Nuzleaf are the two extra leaves that protrude from his head.
Level: 14
Held Item: Miracle Seed

Species: Scyther
Nickname: Razzle
Gender: Female
Perso: Hot-headed is the best word to describe Razzle. A fierce fighter, Razzle’s speed in battle can only be match by her temper. The Scyther is easy to anger and almost impossible to calm down. Even so, her abilities in battle are well above par. She is easily the strongest and quickest of Shaden’s pokemon. Razzle’s temper, however, causes her to loose control in battle and make costly mistakes. Razzle was Shaden’s forth pokemon
Desc: Normally, the Scyther’s skin is a mix of brown and green. This, however, is subject to change. Razzle has been infused with the ability to change her color to mix with her surrounding.
Level: 10
Held Item: King’s Rock

Species: Torchic
Nickname: Flame
Gender: Female
Perso: Kind, Sweet, and Naïve describes Flame to a T. The Torchic is Shaden’s newest pokemon. While she has great potential as a fighter, Flame tends to avoid battles if possible. When forced to fight however, the Torchic can unleash devastating flame attacks on her enemies. Flame also has a problem with trusting others. It comes to easy to her. She will often fall for the tricks and pranks of other pokemon.
Desc: Along with the normal orange and yellow feathers. Flame has a few red feathers on her wing and tail tips.
Level: 7
Held Item: Charcoal

Species: Duskull
Nickname: Shadow
Gender: Male
Perso: Full of laughter, Shadow can find humor at almost anytime. When things are looking grim and times are desperate, Shadow is always ready to lighten the mood with his whit and humor. Shadow tends to take most thinks in life very lightly. He does not consider other when making a joke and can often hurt their feeling. It is not that Shadow is mean, he just does not understand that his jokes are not always funny to the person they are about. Shadow was Shaden’s seventh pokemon.
Desc: Shadow looks like every other Duskull may have seen.
Level: 12
Held Item: Spell Tag

Species: Whismur
Nickname: Echo
Gender: Female
Perso: Unlike most Whismurs, Echo is very talkative and very friendly. Her high pitched voice becomes louder and louder the more excited she gets. Echo is very nosey and will often ask questions that make people uncomfortable. Shaden is force to keep a close watch on her to keep her mouth in line. Echo hates not getting her way and will often throw tantrums when it happens. One could say that Echo is the baby of the group. The only one that Echo seems to listen to is Calloway, and she can often be found following him around, much to his annoyance. Echo was Shaden’s eighth pokemon.
Desc: Echo is smaller than most Whismurs.
Level: 11
Held Item: Bright Powder

Species: Sneasel
Nickname: Kyoto
Gender: Male
Perso: Kyoto is the most competitive of Shaden’s pokemon. The Sneasel will stop of nothing to win and can often take things a step too far in order to gain victory. Kyoto is a great fighter and deadly in battle. His persistent, fighting style leaves enemies on the defensive with little opportunity to strike back. While his attacks are not the strongest, Kyoto can overwhelm his opponent with constant attacks. Kyoto refuses to quit and will continue to fight long after he is defeated. Kyoto was Shaden’s sixth pokemon.
Desc: Kyoto’s ears and tails have changed from their normal red, into a more noticeable yellow.
Level: 9
Held Item: Scope Lens

Species: Plusle
Nickname: Multi
Gender: Female
Perso: The twin sister or Divi, Multi is always getting into trouble. Multi is always active, moving around, and generally getting lost. She has a knack for finding things that should not have been found or did not want to be found. Unlike her brother, Multi is very laid back and doesn’t pay attention to what is going on around her. This causes problems as Multi will easily walk into traps. She is very kind to others and easy to make friends with. In battle, Multi’s movements have no rhyme or reason. She moves around the field at a quick pace and wildly attacks her opponent. Divi and Multi were Shaden’s second and third pokemon.
Desc: Multi is a normal looking Plusle
Level: 10
Held Item: Light Ball

Species: Minun
Nickname: Divi
Gender: Male
Perso: The twin brother of Multi. Divi spends his time trying to keep Multi out of trouble. Divi is also very active and loves to explore. Unlike his sister, however, Divi usually knows where he is going. While curious about the world himself, Divi knows when it is time to leave a place and knows when things do not need to be tampered with. Divi is more uptight that Multi. He is very detailed in what he does and takes good note of what goes on around him. Divi is slower to trust than his sister, but he is also quite friendly and very loyal. Unlike his sister, Divi fights at a slower pace. He is not as quick or as powerful as his sister, but his attacks are more advanced and more controlled. When fighting together with his sister, the two are very strong.
Desc: Divi’s body colors have reversed. Instead of being white with blue markings, Divi is blue with white markings.
Level: 10
Held Item: Magnet

(Hybrid Master: That's much better description-wise. However, you've made the DNA part somewhat worse. FULL evolution only. That means you have to choose Dragonite and not the previous forms. As for "abilities" I don't know if you think I meant the Pokemon's actual abilities such as Shed Skin and Blaze, but if you want to you could have Dratini's, Dragonair's and Dragonite's "special" abilities. Even though you can only have the DNA of fully evolved Pokemon you can still have the abilities of their previous form.

For example, you could have the ability to change the weather. You just need to change the DNA reply from "Dratini" to "Dragonite".

Nate_Dawg: Very good. In fact, fantastic. Now I have two great character submissions. You go right ahead and post.)

((Okays, thanks for clearing that up. Note that the little separation thingies are just to note that these events are happening relatively at the same time.))

Nanami chuckled a little at the Vulpix's display of affection, pulling her in for a quick, friendly hug before loosening her grip and consenting to pet her soft, silky fur. She looked around, happy to see that Meri's other Pokemon weren't looking to start any fights so far, and seemed to be content with sharing the food and space of the lunch they had been invited to partake in. The tense mood that had gathered when the lavender haired girl and her vulpine friend appeared mid-argument seemed to quickly disperse, absorbed by the overall friendly atmosphere of the picnic itself.

"So, Fiamma, Lykou, Orzilonus, Americus," she gave each one a smile, "How have you guys been? Life been treating you alright since we last saw each other?"

~~*~~

Meanwhile, each of Nanami's Pokemon looked up upon the sight of newcomers. Luckily, neither of their guests seemed particularly hostile, just playful at most. First to be spotted was the lovely, yet rather shy looking Dratini, she was greeted warmly by none other than the master prankster herself, Lanyard. The Breloom waved a friendly paw at Esperanza, inviting her over.

~Come ye o'er an' sit with us'n's, Miz Dratini, we won' 'urt ye none,~ she grinned, ~Well, most of us'n's won'- ye micht wan ter watch out fer that li'l Nidoran o'er there though, he's richt ferocious if'n ye try an' take 'is food, i'n' 'e, Sangue?~

~Shore is, Lanyard,~ the little black Eevee replied between chews, matching the Breloom's accent and air of seriousness perfectly, ~'e'll eat yer li'l ol' paws off, richt as rain 'e will!~

~Guys, guys, don't tell her that!~ Luke piped up, his cute boyish voice quiet, yet still indignant, ~She might believe you...~ He wiggled his ears and shook his head in embarrassment, trying to hide himself behind Lanyard. He peeked out only once as Lanyard and Sangue started to laugh, staring up at Esperanza hopefully with his big red eyes, ~You don't believe them, right?~

~~*~~

At a distance not too far from where Lanyard's "mini-group" was sitting, Valkyre and Luahana could be heard in the midst of their own conversation. The pure white Umbreon was smiling brilliantly, and slight traces of amusement could be detected in his light tone of voice. The Espeon, in contrast, seemed a little uncomfortable, but was smiling a small little smile that showed it wasn't due to the fact that there were now several more creatures joining them for lunch.

~Look out Lua, here comes trouble,~ Valkyre pointed out half-jokingly, nodding towards Orphyros and Mylireis (but mostly towards Orphyros).

~Well if it isn't Orphy and Millie,~ Luahana laughed, ~Look out for trouble, ya say? From them? Don't tell me you're intimidated by 'em, Val,~ he teased, ~Or-~

~No. That, is what this is for, remember?~ he lifted a paw to twiddle with the capsule hanging by a tight string around his neck, ~So I don't see that happening anytime soon...~

~Right, right, sorry. I keep forgetting,~ Luahana grinned sheepishly and Valkyre nodded in response, accepting the apology, ~Anyway, I'm gonna try and see if I can get ol' Umber-butt's attention.~

~I don't know if that's a good id-~

Valkyre's recommendation was cut short when a turkey sandwich with the works went flying past his face, missing his nose by mere centimeters. Luahana chuckled merrily as it whizzed toward the Umflareon, calling out as it was about to hit him.

~Hey Orphy, think fast!~

~~*~~

And, of course, let us not forget the ever wary looking white lizard, who happened to be looking quite... wary, at the moment. And white, but she's always been that color. Kareta watched her with a slight interest, her eyes glinting in what any creature could swear was anger. Cecil, noticing this instantly, stepped up to the Sneasel and shook her a bit, attempting to snap her out of the daze she had gone into.

~Kareta, Kareta you gotta think! They're not related, they ain't, you know it...~

~I know...~ her eyes flickered and returned to normal, ~I know she isn't, okay? I know!~ she sat down, rubbing her head, ~Jus' some ol' memories bubblin' up, I know she didn't do nothin' wrong...~

~Ya know what,~ Cecil sighed, ~You're tryin', but you ain't had any practice. And, well,~ he paused to pick up a riceball, ~Here's your chance to interact with one. Try not t' mess up, eh?~

The Quilava offered Kareta an encouraging smile before taking the riceball he had plucked from the picnic and rearing up onto his hindlegs. It took him a moment to gather his bearings (Quilava can walk on their hindlegs, but are still more suited to traveling on all fours), and then he headed off. It took but a moment for him to reach Mauruz; whatever tension that would've been created by her wariness was blocked by his own overly trusting attitude (an attitude that has gotten him into plenty of trouble before). He smiled brightly at her, holding up the riceball as a sort of peace offering.

~Ya know... there's more food closer to the picnic. You should come eat with us; don't worry, there's plenty for all of us here.~ If you can imagine the "^_^;;" expression on a Quilava, that's pretty much what he looked like.

Shaden Woodsworth

So, what do you think our next step should be?

Shaden grimace at the words and slowly leaned his head back against the bark of the tree they were sitting under. The words came from Shaden's Zangoose, Calloway. The serious pokemon quietly waited for his answer. Unfortunately, Shaden had no response. They had been in the park for over two hours and they still had no idea what to do. The past couple of days had been a whirlwind of activity. Pokemon DNA transfusion, orders to protect an ancient artifact that could mean ultimate power to anyone who gets hands on it, the combined threat of Team Rocket, Aqua, and Magma, and, add to it, the fact that Shaden had no idea where he was suppose to be; it could drive anyone insane.

"Let's face it Calloway. We might as well be lost. Who cares if we know were we are if we have no idea where we are going."

That does not answer my question. I asked what our next step should be.

Shaden frowned at the stern Zangoose. Shaden knew what he was doing. Calloway already knew what the next step was. He just wanted Shaden to figure it out himself. Shaden hated when he did this.

"Well," Shaden hissed, "the most logical thing to do would be to go to where this artifact is."

Precisely! I knew you would get it sooner or later.

Shaden's face started to flush red. "That is wonderful! Well let’s just mosey on down to the artifact and then we.... oh wait, that's right. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT IS!" Shaden yelled. He huffed and puffed as he looked at the unemotional Zangoose.

That is something you should have asked before we left Professor Carlos's lab. Do not get mad at me for your ignorance.

"I am not mad at you. I am mad because we are wasting time in which one of the Teams could steal the artifact and use its powers for evil. No to mention the problem we are going to have with food."

Shaden felt something land of his shoulder and turned to the sound of a sweet and timid voice.

What problem do we have with food? Flame's big eyes stared worriedly into Shaden’s. It gave him the sense that she was about to cry if he gave a bad answer. Shaden patted her on the head and was about to answer when he heard another voice from above."

We have no money to buy anymore. All we have left is what we have with us. Adeff hung from a branch by his legs with one hand on his chin. In fact, at the rate in which we are currently consuming our supplies, even with the proper rationing, we will only last abo....

The Nuzleaf’s thoughts were never finished as a ray of red light surrounded him. Shaden pocketed the poke ball and turned his attention back to Flame. “We will be fine; there is nothing to worry about. Why don’t you go play with Echo? I bet she would love some company”

The Torchic’s eyes brightened up at his words. Do you really think so? I better go find her. I am just glad everything is alright. With that, Flame fluttered off to find the Whismur. Shaden smiled as he watched her leave. It made him feel good to see her so happy.

You shouldn’t lie to her like that. It would have been better for her to know the sad truth instead of a pleasant lie. The Zangoose’s face was serious as stared after the tiny bird. It is not healthy for someone to think the world is all sunshine and daffodils.

“Neither is seeing it as a cold and terrible place where nothing good happens,” Shaden quickly commented. “But that is not important now. We need to focus on the problem at hand: what to do next.”

I do not see a problem Shaden, just an answer waiting to be used.

Shaden laughed and shook his head. “You are talking about the other trainers, aren’t you? You know how I feel about working with others.”

Calloway turned towards Shaden and locked eyes with him. I also know how you feel about not accomplishing a goal. Face it. You are going to need some help.

Shaden sighed and turned his gaze to the sky. He hated to admit it, but he did need help. He had noticed a few of the trainers from the lab were also in the park. He had planned on avoiding them till now. It was necessary that he reached the artifact and they were the only ones who could help. Standing up, Shaden looked back at Calloway. “We are going to need to round up the others. Flame and Echo are just over there by those flowers. Have you seen Kyoto or Razzle lately?”

They are training together. They left about an hour ago.

“Shadow?”

Most likely terrifying some poor soul for his amusement.

“The Twins?”

Do I ever know where those two are? Look, I will round up the others. You go talk with the other trainers and see what you can find out.

“Sounds good, I will be back shortly to let you know what the plan is.” Turning around, Shaden started off the meet the other trainers who, by the looks of it, had every pokemon they owned out. From what Shaden could remember, some of them were not the happiest bunch. “Well,” Shaden sighed, “At least The Twins are off somewhere else. I would hate to see what would happen if they….” Shaden’s words caught in his mouth. Up ahead, standing in front of a very large Gyarados, were Divi and Multi. And Shaden could just imagine what they were saying.

Divi: Wow! You’re huge!
Multi: Your teeth are bigger than my whole body
Divi: How did you get so big?
Multi: And ugly. Not in a bad way though. Ugly as in you can terrify your enemies in battle.
Divi: You must weigh like a bazillion tons.
Multi: Will you be my friend?
Divi: I bet you could eat us both without even chewing.
Multi: Can I ride on the top of your head and pretend I am flying?

Shaden quickened his pace in order to prevent The Twins from becoming part of the picnic.

~Nanami~

The corner of Meri's lips twitched slightly in a small welcoming way, despite her use unfriendly nature. She shrugged uncaringly. "Life is the usual."

A mischievious glint shone in the Vulpix's eyes as she grinned mysteriously. ~Life is going great for me! I think I even found a little foxy friend.~ She gave a small frown. ~Although, Meri isn't exactly pleased.~

The Ithena looked up to gaze at Nanami with unreadable golden-yellow eyes, but kept silent. He gave her a brief irascible-type smirk before tearing his gaze away from her. His actions and words were never explained.

The Meowey known as Orzilonus gave Nanami a furtive glance before picking up one of the sandwiches and muching on it slowly. All of Meri's Pokemon seem to act in strange ways.

~~*~~

The lavender tone in the serpent's white scales seemed to pale noticeable as the Dratini looked looked suddenly vigilant, eyes wide with worry. Esperanza casted Lanyard, Sangue and Luke an uncertain look as if she wasn't sure she believed them or not.

Finally she spook, her tone an almost audible mumble. ~I'm not afraid of Nidorino's anyway.~

~~*~~

Orph looked up just in time to get splattered in the face by a turkey sandwich, interrupting him from whatever Myli fantasy he was having. There was a brief pause as the Umflareon looked perplex before his gaze slowly shifted towards Luahana, giving the white-furred Umbreon a bemused look before his eyes turned bright and he gave a grin as if just realising who the Umbreon was.

He walked towards Luahana, all the while grinning fiendishly.

~Lua,~ his tone was soft, dangerous. His eyes only gazed a cold yet wicked gaze. Orph was never one to take things such as getting "sandwiched" in the face lightly. ~I like turkey sandwiches on my plate, not my face.~

His words suggested a small joke, but the expression on his face told otherwise. Then his fiendish grin was replaced by one of amusement as Mylireis made her way to sit beide him. Usually she would have walked away, but prehaps she seemed slightly interested in this event taking place before her eyes.

The Esvaeon stared at the three eons with a haunty gaze, her thoughts unreadable.

~~*~~

Mauruz blinked slowly, her bright gaze stared uncertainly at the Quilava before she declined the offer with a soft-toned, "No thanks,". Her expression suggested that she'd rather be left alone.

Nanami shrugged off Lykou's and Orzilonus' silent responses as them being themselves, and returned her full attention to Americus and Fiamma. The mischevous twinkle in the Vulpix's blue eyes did not escape her, but the rather dejected tone of voice she had upon stating that Meri wasn't particularly happy with her new friend prompted Nana to inquire about it.

"What's wrong with finding another friend?" she paused, looking up at Meri with an inquisitive but otherwise harmless expression, "Is this new friend a potentially dangerous one?"

~~*~~

Luke sighed in relief at hearing Esperanza say she didn't fear any Nidoran, and began helping himself to a salad of his own design. Both Sangue and Lanyard, however, noted her sudden lack of color and wary glance. The little Eevee was just fine with this; she would've been happy to go on letting Esperanza believe that Luke was as dangerous as they had said. Lanyard, however, knew when it was time to quit. The poor Dratini really did look startled at what was meant to be a harmless joke.

~'Tis quite alricht, Miz Dratini, ye've nothin' t' be afeared o' anyway. Luke here is richt; 'e wouldn' 'urt nobody no how unless 'e was made ter in battle,~ the kindly Breloom grinned broadly, ~Twas but a jest, m'dear.~

~Twas but a jest, m'dear,~ Sangue mocked, then shifted back into her normal accent, ~Don't start anything fun like that if you're not gonna go with it all the way, Lan! You're good at foolin' people, but you're too soft about it sometimes.~

~Or maybe you just don't know when to quit,~ Luke replied, sticking his tongue out at her.

She seized up in anger for just a moment, her blood red eyes blazing. Then, unexpectedly, she smiled, and nudged the little Nidoran with her head in an affectionate sort of way.

~Standin' up to me, huh? I wonder if that was the smart thing to do?~

She then walked off, leaving the small group in an uncomfortable silence. In an attempt to break the awkward moment, Lanyard coughed and shifted around, rubbing the back of her head in a sheepish manner.

~Shore is an odd un, i'n' she?~ she smiled at Esperanza, ~So, Miz Dratini, would ye not min' tellin' us a bit aboot yerself? Mayhaps yer name, yer hobbies, somethin' abou' yer life? It mus' be borin' jus' list'nin' to us'n's blither on all the day, eh?~

~~*~~

Luahana smiled brightly, Orph's fiendish grin having little to no effect on him. Being who he is, the white-furred Umbreon can hardly tell when he should be scared and when he should be laughing. As far as he was concerned, this was still very much the lighthearted joke he intended it to be; anything menacing Orph might've had planned he was completely oblivious to. Valkyre, however, was far more wary now than he was when he first spotted the Umflareon and Esvaeon headed for the picnic. To him, it was fairly clear that Orph wasn't too happy about taking a sandwich to the face; funny as it was, Luahana's foolish actions have once again gotten him into trouble. He sighed wearily, awaiting the time when he would be needed to step in and break up a potential fight (and he wasn't looking forward to that; they were both dark types after all).

~My deepest and most humble apologies, Orphy,~ Lua replied with a bow of his head, still grinning away, ~Here is a turkey sandwich, this time on a plate.~

He picked up said food item and placed it on a paper plate decorated with a simple flower print. He then proceeded to pick up the plate and balance it neatly on top of Orphyros' head, taking but a few seconds to adjust it perfectly. Luahana seemed particularly proud of his work, and sat back to admire it. Oh, where oh where were those silly human inventions like cameras when you needed them?

~Is there anything else you require, my friend?~ the white fox asked, sounding half sincere, yet half teasing.

~~*~~

Cecil looked dejected at first, but he immediately brightened up. The Charmander wasn't harsh in her reply; she must just want to be alone or isn't good with socializing, or something like that. Not completely understanding the situation, but being satisfied by it anyway, he shrugged at her and grinned.

~Well, whatever suits ya best!~ he sat the riceball he had brought over near her, then turned to walk away, ~If you decide to come on over an' eat, I'll tell the others not to bug ya, if ya want. That way you can eat without feelin' uncomf-... uncompr-... uncaml-... strange!~

Since he no longer had to carry the rice ball, he dropped to all fours and trotted away, humming a little tune as he went.

~~*~~

Rikotsu listened silently as the little Plusle and Minun pummled him with question after question. Really, he just couldn't understand how a creature so small could contain so much energy; and yet there they were, positively bursting with life and youth. He picked up on a crunching sound similar to walking and looked up, noticing a rather worried looking human stop dead in his tracks. He appeared to recognize the little electric rodents sitting in front of the Gyarados, and his troubled expression did not fade.

~Look,~ Rikotsu said, speaking in his usual emotionless, yet not monotonous tone of voice, ~There is a human there who appears to know you, your trainer perhaps? He seems ill-at-ease; you should go to him.~

"Look," Rikotsu said, speaking in his usual emotionless, yet not monotonous tone of voice, "There is a human there who appears to know you, your trainer perhaps? He seems ill-at-ease; you should go to him."

The two tiny pokemon blankly stared at the large Gyarados for a moment. It took awhile for his words to sink in to Divi who finally followed his glance towards Shaden. Multi, however, continued to look at the Gyarados.

Divi: Oh, you mean Shaden.
Multi: You talk funny.
Divi: What do you mean by ill-at-ease?
Multi: You should put more excitement into your words.
Divi: He always looks like that when he finds us.
Multi: LIKE ME!
Divi: Now that you mention it, he does look a little worried.
Multi: Why would he be worried?
Divi: Well we do have a tendency of causing trouble, especially you.
Multi: I do not cause trouble. There just happens to be trouble wherever I go. Besides, he should be more worried about Shadow.
Divi: Why Shadow.

"Yes. Why should I be worried about Shadow when you two are the ones over here bugging people?" Shaden stood over the Twins with a look of irritation. This was obviously not the first time the two pokemon had run off. "You two do this every time I let you out. You go off on your little adventures, which usually end up with me having to apologize to the person who owns what you "explore". And by “explore”, I mean broken.”

Multi: Hey, that stuff is usually broken when we get there.

"Yes, you are right. When YOU get there, that stuff BECAME broken." Shaden's voice was very stern. He hated being mean to the siblings, but if he did not show some authority, they would run wild.

Divi: "muffled laughter"
Multi: What is so funny?
Divi: Haha... I... I think I know... haha hmhmhm... Why Shaden should be worried about Shadow.
Multi: Haha. So you finally see him too. This is going to be great.
Divi: I feel kind of sorry for the Quilava though.

Shaden's eyes darted back and forth looking for Shadow. The Duskull loved to play tricks and pranks. Shaden started to get worried but eventually found his other trouble-making pokemon. This made him actually become worried. There was his Duskull, floating behind a Quilava, shaking a can of soda in his mouth. It looked like the Quilava was going to be given a very fizzy shower. Turning back to the two electric twins, Shaden's stern look became even more serious.

"You two had better stay right here. I do not want you two to cause any more trouble." With that, Shaden took off to stop his Duskull. On a day where the sun was shinning, the birds were singing, and a cool breeze was blowing, things were very stressful for Shaden Woodsworth.

Divi: Why is he so worried? Shadow cannot open that can. He doesn't have any hands.
Multi: Let Shaden worried about that. I am getting hungry. Let's get some of the food.

Multi scampered off towards the picnic food with Divi trailing, trying to stop her.

Divi: Wait! Shaden said not to move. That is it. I am going to go get him and he is going... Oh potato salad.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shadow floated silently behind the humming Quilava. The soda in his mouth was ready to burst. All he had to do now was open it.....

Crud! How do human work these things, thought the Duskull as he began to shake the can even more. WHY WON'T YOU OPEN! Shadow shook the can in fury.

"SHADOW. STOP RIGHT THERE. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT." Shaden's face was flushed red as he stomped towards the Duskull. "You better be glad I got here before you opened that or you would be in so much more trouble. Hand it here." Shaden reached out his hand, which was shaking, and tried to take the soda.

Fine, Shadow said as he dodged Shaden's hand. It is not like I can open it anyways. With that, the Duskull tossed the soda at Shaden. Not expecting it to be thrown, Shaden was caught off guard and completely missed the can. The soda fell past Shaden's desperate grabs and landed on a rock.

"Oh no!" Shaden gasped. Seconds later, he was covered in an explotion of soda and listening to the laughter of Shadow.

HAHAHAHAHA, That... hahahaha... Was Awesome... HAHAHAHAHA.

~Nanami~

Fiamma grinned humourously, making the white-tailed girl frown in annoyance. "Meri seems to think so. She says my new friend is too...wild, so to speak." The Vulpix shrugged, looking blitheful.

~~*~~

The colour was starting to return to the Dratini's face, but she still looked uncertain.

"My name is Esperanza and I was of the few dragons born in a certain part of town far off from Cerulean. At least I think it was Cerulean. I was too young to remember every detail fully. My home town hates dragons, so I was born in a small cave away from murderous human eyes. My mother and father were both well-trained Dragonites whose trainers died years ago due to old ages. Dragons do live a long time after all. Anyway, a few weeks went by after I was born without the humans noticing we were living nearby until that fateful day when a bunch of children wondered into our cave and upon spotting my parents, screamed and ran out of the cave. They must have told the others what they saw, because it wasn't long before our home was raided by humans and non-dragonic Pokemon."

The serpentine dragon took a deep breath, suddenly tired after that big explanation of her life.

"My parents might have been well-trained, but I doubt anyone can fight against dozens and dozens of other well-trained Pokemon. From my hiding place I watched them fight with bravery and honour. Then I remembered that my father had ordered me before the battle to leave our home when the enermies were too busy to notice me, so I slipped out just at the right moment and made my home in a large hollow tree of some kind. A kindly Hoothoot living there was unafraid of me and allowed me to live there until I grew older. A month later I left the tree and slithered even more further away from town until I eventually came across this HUGE town. It was much diferent from my pervious town I once lived near and despite being dreadfully worried that I'd get killed, I ventured into the town. I was surprised to find that people actually liked dragons here, but as I found out it wasn't exactly a good thing. I was told that I was extremely rare and valueble and I don't know if any of you are rare, but I got uneasy with all those "Oh, my gosh! It's a Dratini!" everywhere. Eventually some girl called Americus came across me and ordered everyone to bugger off and leave me alone. I didn't know why they were afraid of her back then, but now I know it's because she's one of the DNA subjects. I've been with her ever since."

~~*~~

The Umbreon's golden red eyes seem to narrow murderously. With a deep growl he lowered his head down, paper plate still perched on top and tossed his head quickly upwards, causing the plate and sandwich to fly high into the air. The plate had made its way back down to earth first and landed near the Umflaeon's front paws, but the sandwich was about to land back on Orphyros' head. With a well-aimmed headbutt, Orphyros sent the sandwich flying towards the white Umbreon. Having had been close enough to put the plate on Orphyros' head in the first place, it was doubtful that he'd be able to duck in time.

The Charmander blinked uncertainly, but with a shrug she picked up the offered ball of rice and slowly munched on it, thoughtfully.

Prehaps it wouldn't be too bad to make friends, but Mauruz was never the one to make playmates so easily.

~Shaden~

With a startled squeak, Eiradra's ears stood straight up. In panic the white-furred Pikachu darted deep into the park and away from the soda spray. Orzilonus gave an excited grin as he chased after the rodent, leaving Nanami, Americus, Fiamma and Lykou behind.

"Too... wild?" her brow furrowed, and she smiled apologetically, "I'm afraid I don't understand. Too wild can be a number of things, all the way from hyperactive to, well, frisky. It could just mean a dangerous lifestyle too, perhaps your friend takes too many risks for Americus' liking?"

Their pleasant(?) conversation was interrupted by a loud thunk, followed by the fast spray of some sort of liquid. Nanami looked up just in time to see some poor guy just get completely drenched in what looked like a recently shaken up soda... from her own picnic! Spotting a completely stunned Cecil nearby only confirmed her fears; this must be her fault. Grabbing the still damp towel she had previously used to dry her own hair, she pardoned herself from Americus and Fiamma with a quick bow and rushed over to where he stood. Without even hesitating, she draped the towel over his soda covered head and began scrubbing at his black hair vigorously, muttering to herself.

"Gah, you're gonna be all sticky now, this towel won't help as much as I'd like it too... Hey!" she paused and peered down at his face, her thoughts in a whirl, "You!" she laughed as she realized, standing back and letting go of the poor guy's head, "You're Shaden! I can't believe I didn't recognize you at first," she paused, looking around the area, "I wonder just how many of our DNA pals decided to visit the National Park today..." she shook her head, turning her attention back to Shaden, "Anyway, it's nice to see you again, though I can't imagine you're very happy right now. If you like, I can have Rikotsu hose you down, that is, if you have a change of clothes with you."

~~*~~

Both Lanyard and Luke listened patiently to Esperanza's tale; Luke had even stopped eating as the young dragon spoke. Both appeared to be at a loss for words, after all, what could they possibly say to her? She didn't express any need for comfort, and her tone didn't indicate any need for revenge or counseling. She just spoke, as though this kind of life was commonplace. The Breloom finished off the last of her sandwich, swallowing it with some difficulty. She offered the Dratini a smile of the softer sort and spoke up, leaving her tone of voice devoid of pity for fear of offending her.

~Sounds like ye had a rough one, thar. Yer a strong un', aren' ye? Most folks'll go through summat like that an' be a richt wreck, er be vengful, but ye seem t' be alricht. I respeck' tha', so I does.~

~And your parents, wow!~ Luke piped up, clearly amazed by her tale, ~They sound super strong, stronger than Furai, and even stronger than Sangue, I bet! And one day, I bet you're gonna be even stronger!~ he blurted out. Suddenly aware of himself, he let his shy attitude take over and his voice quieted considerably, ~Well, that is, I mean... if you want to. You don't have to be a fighter, and peace is preferable anyway...~

~~*~~

Valkyre sighed and shook his head, but re
