Gender Icons

I remember that before we used to see the gender icons next to the age, but why aren't there ??

Those icons are not integrated into vB by default.
They will have to be added to the postbit template manually, and will disappear again if an update requires revertion of that template, which is the reason why they disappeared in the first place.

It was quite neat seeing them, but they're not that necessary, as you can still see a person's gender in their profile.

In case people want them back badly, an Admin would have to take his/her time and put them back into the template(s). :x

It would be nice to have them back on all the posts. And it shouldn't be that hard to add to the layouts.

It was turned off when the server fell in August/September.

I liked them, but they're unnecesary, I won't complain about it xD

I don't believe the gender icons were one of the things that were turned off back then, though - it was just the more draining features such as search, who's online, and similar things. If I remember correctly, they disappeared when we upgraded to vB 3.6 a few months back (basically, the update/reversion that Scizz mentioned), and they've just never been added back.

Cowrie is right. The gender icons was never turned off to help the server. It was the search, who's online, and who's viewing the thread. That's pretty much what was turned off back then. We lost the gender icon when we upgraded vB (that's about the only way to lose it, and it's the only way we do lose it, because we never remove that sort of stuff).
