Careful With That Axe, Pichu!

Desert inspiration, uck.

The path on which the pilgrims stray is breaking by the fold
I look upon the deeds of men, and laugh at legends told
Beneath the arms of bitter will, aside the means of death
The shames of those were being judged, but disciplined by Seth.

The prophets talk of gates found close, but far to be decreed
The foolishness of years begun for those whose shadows bleed
We speak of glory after labor, the deities voice our rights
For I shall now ignore our fate and hook my sin on heights

Before the sand colossus, Cerberus' scene is keen
To wash our lust, the sun cascades amidst the desert screen
For decades' time we stole a prayer to be granted unprofane
And then converge to cast the sacred chant of devil's bane

But dreams ignore the flagrant truth, we scatter tender prose
For which we must be one again, a beast will nations doze
To overcome a trial, be a martyrdom confined
And seal our sinful proof, rather fools or mere mankind.
