I just restarted my Firered and I need a small team rate and help on a certain pokemon.

This is what I'm going to end up with:

Venusaur
Sassy Nature
Ability: Overgrow

-Sludge Bomb
-Razor Leaf
-Leech Seed
-Sleep Powder

Alakazam
Modest Nature
Ability: Inner Focus

-Psychic
-Calm Mind
-Recover
-Thunderbolt

I want to know which type of Snorlax would be best to go with these two. I don't want it to have to use a move you have to breed for even though "Curse" is such a awesome move for it.

Zam doesnt get Thunderbolt, but gets Thunderpunch in Emerald.

You can always just use a regular lax with Body Slam/EQ/Shadow Ball/Rest.

You really are stuck on Trick ._.

To be honest, it's a lot harder to use Trickbanding in-game or even in link battles as Blissey doesn't really run so rampant.

Alakazam @ Choice Band
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Trick
- Fire Punch
- Recover

I saw nothing wrong with his Alakazam in the first place.
um... Snorlax...

Snorlax@Leftovers
Curse
Rest
Body Slam
Self Destruct

The problem with his Alakazam, as Synch noted, is that it CANNOT learn Thunderbolt. It learns Thunderpunch instead. I also don't like Selfdestruct on Curselax. Talk about a waste of time. If you are going to bother cursing up, why throw it all away? Use Earthquake or Shadow Ball instead.

OK, then go with Rest, Earthquake, Body Slam, and Curse

Use Sandslash or Clefable In-Game to be cool.

Use Sandslash or Clefable In-Game to be cool.

Why would you do that?
Clefable is a sad excuse for a Sponge, and Sandslash is even more worthless.
Either way, you already have a sponge. Snorlax

You don't even use Sponges In-Game. It is called having fun instead of tearing through the game with Snorlax. And how is Sandslash worthless when it learns Swords Dance, Earthquake, and Rock Slide? Ok next time before you give me **** comments have a real point.

You need to chill. People use Sponges. Trust me. Clefable is an all around Sucky Pokemon except for its SpecDef

Clefable's Base Stats

HP - 95
Attack - 70
Defense - 73
Speed - 60
SAtk - 85
SDef - 90
Total - 473

There is a reason why it is a UU Pokemon. Also its HP is better than its SDef so that isn't its only good stat.

But why use Clefable when you can use Snorlax as a SpongeSweeper

Stantlerguy

Because Clefable is more fun than Snorlax. In-Game you don't need the best Pokemon, so you use something different.

He didnt ask us what he would have the most fun with.

The original question of the guy was which snorlax set he should use. But I agree with Stantlerguy, he said, Use Sandslash or Clefable In-Game to be cool. And I guess you read, Use Sandslash or Clefable In-Game because they are the best pokemon in the game. In game you can use whatever you want, even the crappiest pokemon trained up to level can beat any crap AI trainer in the game. If Stantler wants to you Clefable because he likes it, then cool, even if it may suck. (Which is doesn't).

I have a special sweeping Aggron that beat Steven in my Ruby version.
