It's simple, just play around with it. If you want to make a banner, please make the image size 400x100.

I suggest playing around with the layer settings. You can make more layers by clicking create layer in the layer menu.

Try the Filters, play around with it intil you are happy.

To align the picture to front, click Layer>Order>Bring to Front.

But heres the typical prices for art programs:
Paint Shop Pro 7 or 8: $99 US Dollars
Photoshop Elements 2.0 (Mac or Windows): 89-99 US Dollars
Photoshop 7.1: $700 New, $400 or 300 (i think) for used copy.
Flash MX: $300 seperate.. $1000 for whole suite (you know, dreamweaver, Freehand, etc.)
Fireworks MX:$300-400 US Dollars (?)

Umm...frostweaver, it's 15% not 14%. Provincial tax is 8% and federal tax is 7%.

Unless you're selling it I don't think it's illegal as long as you don't make "profit."

currently it doesn't violate any law right now. however there are certain companies that try to make cd burning illegal saying that

-even if they don't sell it, they may buy one copy only to share it to many other people as well

however, isn't that how things always have been? before the times of cd, video tapes are always dubbed for friends to watch. You record tv shows (on those pay channels) for friends to watch. Duplicating has been part of us for a very long time now...

plus even if they pass the law to make cd burning illegal, how in the world are they going to recall all those cd burners? very very hard... ppl can easily hide one too...

I doubt they would make cd burners against the law. They are excellent for backing up your data, only DVD burners do it better.

If they do that, they would have to take the internal ones out of the desktops. That would be a pain in a neck.

Installing and taking out a internal cd burner isn't hard at all, just open up the computer, and install a cd burner on the 2 slot, or if its all full, install a hard drive with a cd burner on it.

I downloaded the trial version for PhotoImpact 8.0, thats what I used to make my pics. Even though, I had to use my computer with the dial-up, and it took 3 hours and 43 minutes...

Well to me burning a Cd and recording on a Vcr or Dvd are practicly the same thing if they make cd burners ilegal they would have to ban Vcrs and Dvd burners as well.

burning copies of game aren't going to be a big problem in the near future... now there's invention of CD keys now (for the online computer games at least.)

but if you mean games for systems like PS2 then i really don't know. But i don't think you can really burn GCN games in any ordinary means (where can you buy a cd so small first of all?).

About an hour ago I got home from a debate tournament at university. It quite interesting, better than I expected, lots of smart people came to it. I volunteered as a speaker for the 2 vs. 2 debates debates going on in various rooms in the building.:):D

The root of Words o' Wisedom was from Dakota, and I think he got it partially from studying the bible. He kept comparing the fool to the wise.:/:D:P

well for me... i'm good at worrying about things, doing unproductive stuff on the computer, playing RPG (to a certain degree), whining... but i'm still the best at worrying about things. For a simple school project i can worry about it day and night that i can even sleep because of it...

as for Dizzy well certain tallking about his popularity, friends and what he does... a good way to call this is talkative and not secretive. He doesn't mind ppl knowing all these stuff about him.
