Pokémon Untitled

Ok... so many of you guys know I'm creating a Pokémon game too. This game holds a list with interesting features from the original games:

-CMS (Custom Menu System, like the original Pokémon games)
-CBS (Custom Battle System, like the original Pokémon games)
-CNS (Custom Naming System)
-Running Shoes
-Cycling
-2 Regions for sure, maybe even 3 (Johto & Kanto fur sure)
-and some more

And some totally new features! They will be:
-Pokémon Collectable Cards (over a 100!)
-Some totally new badges
-Team Rocket fuses it's powers with Team Magma! You and Team Aqua have to stop 'em!
-New kind of gyms, like you have to beat 2 trainers in a row, and then the gym leader

That's it for now. I'll post an early screen for you guys :) Remember that New Bark Town get's way more detail ;)

I've never played FR/LG, but I would say that merssage graphic looked slightly off-center. If it's supposed to be, fell free to correct me! :D :D

Yeah, the messagebox is supposed to be there. When you find an item, a small window will pop up at the right of the messagebox ;)

No screens yet from the CBS and CNS. The CNS is almost done though... Tomorrow screens, maybe monday... but they'll come soon, I promise ;)

It's ok to use my idea if you want, it is pretty simple.. but you should use my idea, not my actual code..
I'm interested on how you are going to do the CBS because there are more and more people who say they will do it then just give up.. I like your New Bark Town. is that the only town which you have finished?

Hacking is what I do to Megaman ROMs.
RPG Maker is COMPLETELY different.
If you've ever played Mario Paint, well, that's how you put maps together. Stamps.
And if you've ever used ANY game maker, you should know that this is NOT hacking.


Also, there's no reason to have a CNS.
Just get the patch that allows you to use the default Enter Hero Name command.
...Well... Unless you want a different look and stuff...

lol, i'm sure he already knows about the patch for the default EHN but the default is crap anyway. very limited and deletes two letters at a time.

well I'm creating a CNS cause I want the hero's name in the Menu, and not things like 'TRAINER' or 'STATUS'. When I work with variables for the hero name, I can put it in my CMS :)

And I'm creating my ówn CNS, so no idea stealing, code stealing whatever. I'm, creating my ówn game with my ówn unique coding ;)

no I'm not. I'm recreating the wórlds, not the games! And the game will include some new areas, not many though. But you'll just have to wait for a demo... or full version :P You'll notice the changes then ;)

Yeah I have. Sure, it will contain the 'catch em all and become the pokémon champion' story but it also contains some other things.

To start of with Team Rocket & Magma who fused together, cause of Giovanni. They want to control the world by capturing all Pokémon and getting rid of all the water. They have a whole bunch of plans to do so. Team Aqua is trying to stop them, but they just don't have enough power. That's when you enter in this situation. You and Team Aqua versus Team Rocket & Magma!

And the Collectable Cards will play a big role too. In almost every town you can buy a few cards. Some are only obtaineble by catching a certain kind of Pokémon, others by trading with some NPC's. What happens when you get em all is for you guys to find out.

And there will be a lot of twists in the story, like some sort of 'side-story' with a buch of PCC (Pokémon Collectable Cards) Thiefs after you and a gym leader that has been taken hostage. And more, ofcourse! ;)

If you guys have some more ideas, let me know! :D

are you going to keep the name as 'Pokemon Untitled' or is it just a working title because I think it adds a touch of humor and irony to the game because you have all these people trying to think of clever and cool sounding titles and you just use Untitled.

Seriously though, those screen look good! Excellent detail in recreation. I can't say the work is creative, but it is definately well-done.

When I create totally new maps, they ALWAYS suck, so that's why I'm doing this.
And as for the name: Pokémon Untitled is just the working title. When I think of something original and not things like 'Revenge of the Teams!' or 'Pokémon: [insert color]

the naming system isn't HARD... it's a LOT OF WORK :P
by the way... My fav game of all pokémon games is Crystal, so dun look at my other topic. The starter pokémon will be Chikorita, Totodile & Cyndaquil. Charmander is easy to get after beating Falkner... the rest I won't tell u :P

WHAT no Cyndaquil, or is that a typing mistake? Also could there be a cafe in Goldenrod where you can by food for your pokemon. In G/S/C a guy mentions that Goldenrod has a cafe however there is no cafe building there.Oh and could you please make a blackjack game for the game corner(should be called casino!). PLEASE DO THIS AND NO MATTER WHAT KEEP CYNDAQUIL. Thank you*faints after so much yelling*.

*A small update*

I switched to rm2k3, cuz I need the battle animations to overlap the pictures, something rm2k doesn't provide.

And as for your question DM:
Just check the scripting when beta/demo comes out ;)

okay. The only problem is one of Meerkat's events I can't open because it's too large. RM2K3 crashes every time I try to open it :D

I guess I can figure it out on my own, but it is helpful to have something to look at!

lol that will be the show picture event then.. rm2k3 does not crash, it just takes a long time to load. if you have a fast computer it won't take more than a few seconds.

sponge, how are you doing your cns? would you like some help?

It takes so long it goes into the state of "not responding." So yeah, I guess it does crash. Either that or I don't have the patience to sit and stare at my screen for a few hours.

anyway i have fixed a few bugs with the CBS and the CNS. in the CNS if you deleted a letter when there was no letter there it would do strange things.. fixed anyway. i will start changing a few things now.. not sure if i want to incorporate the screen panning thing.. but I can do the panning of the grass thing, i have that idea all planed out. soon i will be ready to add a few more pokemon to the battle.. maybe i will think about team-battle if i feel like it today
