Very well done and I think you would do well with a Milotic/Grovyle fusion.
Arlynn
January 1st, 2007, 02:52 AM
Thank you for the comment, I'll give that fusion a shot.
EDIT:

I like the Milovyle and Espinetails. Try doing something that you can't do. How about some legendary fusions?

Thank you both for your comments, any suggestions of what legendaries?

you think you could do a registeel pixel over?
Arlynn
January 1st, 2007, 10:54 PM
I can try. Is there any specific image you would like me to try with?
Gengar Master
January 1st, 2007, 11:49 PM
You should try a Rayquaza/Parukia fusion that sounds hard!

Registeel!
I also tried doing the Rayquaza/Parukia fusion - very difficult, and I couldn't get anything worth showing. :/ Any other suggestions for Legendary Fusions?

How about a Rayquaza/Lugia fusion!

And here she is; me. In a scribbly three minute mess. I decided to try scratching something on an unfamiliar program - paint. Ugh, I will never ty that again.
http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/5084/selfpit5.png
And people wonder why I don't do scratch stuff.

Hmm, I like the quality of the Registeel pixel over, good work.
It's a shame that you used so many colours though.

Guys, your suggestions seem more like requests in my eyes. It's alright if you give the pixel artist an idea of what she can do, but it seems to me that you're slowly leading this towards it being a request thread. Try to do less of that and more general commenting, please. :P

Unhealthy habit that. ^^;; I just love my variants.

heh, you should try a different style of shading, like dithering then, cause you can get the same effect.

hey, these are very well done! i think that exeggtrio is awesome.

Wow, that's feels so good coming from a great spriter like you, Samson. Thank you very much!
EDIT:
Took into account Ray.Z's comment and made a pixel-over using dithering instead:

Another pixel-over. I'm not sure where the art is from, so if you know who the artist is - please tell me so I can give them proper credit!

that leaf-lion thing looks pretty good. needs some darker outlining and needs shading. it looks as if it has none. it also needs to be given more life-like qualities, like a open mouth perhaps? XD what is it with the idea of leaf lions/tigers anyway? anywho, can't wait to see more and bully ya.

Fwee. Thanks for the comments Samson. I'll work on that. ^_^

I like the pochama. Not because It's a new diamond pearl pokémon, I just like it.

I took your advice into consideration Samson, and edited Aleo accordingly:

EDIT EDIT:
My very first trainer sprite, Natane. I really disliked the pose she had for the game, but I like her design.

Another thing I'm working on:

EDIT EDIT:

I don't like it as much as Natane. It's Alana, for a friend of mine.

hey! those trainer sprites are really nice. though they have too many colors and are quite large, the detail is quite nice and the poses are nice as well. i can't wait to see you improve on shading and outlining. i really think you may develop some wonderful spriting skills.
Arlynn

Thank you very much Samson. ^_^ Your comments always up my confidence. =)

January 12th, 2007, 02:55 PM
Hmm, the trainer pixel-overs are quite good, cept you seem to have gone a bit overboard with the dithering ^^; It's not necessarily a negative thing, it's just that the two shading techniques should be both be used.
Anywho, I'd like to see your attempts at smaller pixel overs (trainer sprite sized). The tend to get a bit more difficult, so it'd be a good way to test your obvious skills.
And yeah, no consecutive posts. If you have something new to post, just delete the prior post and post it again ^^; Thanks.
Arlynn
January 12th, 2007, 10:42 PM
Sorry, it says in the rules that if you have more things to post on your poixel art showcase you can double post ... but I'll not do that then. :/
And thanks much, I'll try doing a smaller one next time I do one. And yeah, I'm a dithering obsessor. ^^
