Another earthquake hit Japan?Well that stinks.How were the losses?

Yes, but this one's supposed to be historic! The magnitude rating they gave it was 8.0. I had to send an e-mail to my friend in Japan to make sure she was okay!
And I'm not really sure about how many losses there were. It was on the Msn home page, though, and most likely on the news too.

I've heard about it... It was 8.0? Whoa, thats even bigger then the biggest Earthquake in Taiwan... (7.0) x_x; Wasn't it in the very north of Japan? (Hokaiido? Or something...) x_x;

japan always get hit by earthquake... they usually get hit by an earthquake rated 8 or above every 3 year or so... that's bad...

I know... that'd be the only disadvantage of living there. :/
And I can't remember which areas it hit... I'll have to read the thing again. >_>;;

Taiwan is also in the Earthquake 'danger' area...but I'm moving to CA...But CA is also in the Earthquake 'danger' area...Argh! I can't escape! x_x;
Rated 8 earthquakes are scary, I mean I got a 3 rated one, and it was scary enough! x_x; Poor Japan people... ;_;

Lol, I thought Texas was safe -- then again we have tornados. o_O; I've got to search out one place that has completely safe weather conditions and move there!

And I know.. those poor people! I have a friend there that I sent an e-mail to, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. T-T I hope she's okay...

I used to live in NYC, but it wasn't safe there too, my mom got pick-pocketed there before. x_x; The weather is okay, I guess...so you can move there. XD

BTW, where does your friend live, Kayleigh? :/

Pick-pocketed? Wow... they don't do that much here. The thing that would be dangerous about living in a big city like that though is terrorist attacks! I like my small town just fine, besides some certain weather conditons. o.O;

Oh yeah, and she lives in Kagoshima! I can't remember if that's anywhere near where the earthquakes were. I hope not! *runs off to find world map*

I heard there were hundreds of injuries but no death so that's good n_n;; LOL

Many buildings were damaged but none collapsed. I think like, computers fell off desks and stuff so it did still cost a lot....

there is no safe weather zone... but the most dangerous place is the west coast of North America (Vancouver and etc...). Eventually all those cities along that coast will be destroyed in one GIGANTIC earthquake... I forgot what's the name of that ridge now i took it last year in science... but the teutonic plate for the Pacific ocean is going colliding into "this ridge." Right now the teutonic plate for the Pacific ocean is slipping underneath the NA plate, but a plate can only bend so much before it releases all those tension created... *shivers at the thought*

no,that does sound terrible though. did you hear about the earthquake which reached from New Zealand to Australia? *And I think it said it hit America* And I think the level was 7.5 at the highest, i think. It was a few weeks ago.

And I think there was something about the earthquake vibration coming from a radio station...Making it sound like that it was sound vibrations causing it.

EDIT: I was asleep when it happened, but my sister was woken up by it, and she thought either someone was attacking her or she was having a seizure.
It happened about 12:04
