Hello, I'm bmah, a new member from Edmonton, AB. For a couple of days, I've been browsing this board, and I've decided to join. You guys seem pretty friendly.
Well to start off, I'll talk a little about my history with Pokemon so you can know me a bit better (not that you would care :P).

In truth, I actually am not a gigantic Pokemon fan, but some interest has sparked up since. I started Pokemon when the craze began (1996-7?). My first glimpse of what a Pokemon was actually came from a card (showed Bulbasaur) that came in a pack of cheese strings.
Getting Pokemon Blue, I was easily addicted into it, as well as the trading cards (I'm a collector of all sorts). Eventually, my elementary school banned the cards because Pokemon literally infested everyone's minds. I recorded episodes for quite some time too (until 4th season I think).
Pokemon Silver and Gold came out, and I engrossed myself into that as well. When all of these newer generation games (e.g. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald,etc.) came out, I got tired of Pokemon, knowing it's probably a fad that will continue for some time. In other words, I lost interest pretty quickly.
Why am I into Pokemon now? My interest was sparked when Pokemon Mystery Dungeon came out. For once I didn't have to catch and train XXX number of Pokemons. I actually didn't get the game until very recently, so I'm still at it. I've also been catching up on some more recent episodes on the Internet and TV. Hopefully, all of this won't interfere with my first year at university/college lol.
extra tidbit: Some comics over the net has also raised my overall Pokemon interest. Take a good look at the Ace of Abra comic (go search that, I can't post links just yet).
