Hello everyone and welcome to first ever thread for Calis Projects' new pokemon game.
My-LifeOnline.com- Game's official website! (http://my-lifeonline.com)
Calis Projects Presents:
Pokemon Protectors

Introduction:
Hey again. My name is Neo-Dragon- well it's not, my name is Stephen, but my alias is Neo-Dragon ha. I'm working on a game called Pokemon Proectors, being made with RPGMaker 2003. I've been using RPGMAKER2003 for about 4-5 years now, and this is not my first game (just search my name and check the threads I have started, there was Pokemon Silk- Silk2:TakeOver and Digital Network.)
I go by my own set of rules when it comes to mtyhs in the Pokemon Universe- I'll stay true to the Pokemon, but I'll create my own regions and stories within them. So bare with me please guys, or gals lol. I started a group called Calis Projects (small team, with me doing the work, but with other great guys helping out eith the odd thing), and Pokemon Protectors is, what we are calling, our "Generation 3" game.
So...

Storyline:
(I'll Spoiler this)

For those of you wondering, as I said just above this, I go by my own rules in terms of story. This isnt to off put fans. It's to hopefully have the opposite effect. Keep things fresh.
Please, please remember, I make up my own regions (there are 3 fully planned out- I'll explain later), my own myths about Pokemon (but I'll stay true to who the Pokemon is), and my own devices and such.
Anyways- I have also wrote out a 100 year history timeline for all 3 regions. Everything will be explained in-game, and little hints, clues and easter eggs will be hidden in the gameworld itself. You will not be forced to read the storyline on this webpage to understand what is going on....
Anyways-
Storyline.
The game begins with the hero (male only at this point) with his grandpa at a place just outside Nutleaf Town (funny name- yeah- starting town). The place is "Look Out Hill." Suddenly a crash is seen in the land not too far off. A bang is heard. Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket (who's in his 40s in case you wondered), steps up higher on the hill. Without giving too much details, Giovanni explains that it was "his" Pokemon Mewtwo that crashed. Suddenly both Team Aqua and Team Magma show up. There is a slight power strugle between the teams as words are exchanged. The hero and grandpa flee the scene before things get nasty.
The next day- a member of the Pokemon Protectors (a group that fights crime all over the 3 regions and has been set up for over 20 years- 23 to be precise) comes to interview the hero on what he saw at the hill. This is where the biggest gameplay element kicks in. The Conscious Choice feature (see features).
The hero is able to make choices in the interview and can choose what info to tell the PP Member. Another day passes, and it's the day the hero gets his first Pokemon off Prof. Oak (remember, my rules with characters- he lives there). After picking a starter Pokemon (between Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle), the player is introduced to a female trainer who is also only starting the journey to become a trainer. She acts as friend to the hero, helping him out both in life and in battle. Prof. Oak tells the new trainer that a new element know as Minerals(see features) is used to level up Pokemon, and to use them, they must use a PokeCyber(see features). He gives them one. The 2 trainers set off like any young trainer, with the goal to battle in the gyms to earn a post at facing the elite 4. But along the way, the hero runs into Team Rocket at Seabud City (3rd place visited). The hero discovers what Team Rocket is really doing. They (Rocket) have created a device which can control Pokemon's mind, but depending on the strength of the Pokemon- it is having different effects, like confusing them, of even injuring them. Without ruing what happens- the player can make choices which can lead to him(hero) traveling all 3 regions, in the search for Mewtwo.

Features:
New Regions:
Altar Region.
<2nd Region not revealed yet>
<3rd Region not revealed yet>

Yeah, thats right, a new region, in my opinion, is a feature. This is the land on which the player will travel- and the space where the gameplay will fall upon.

The Altar Region:
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/2741/altarregionmapsx1.png
This region only officially became a region less then 50 years prior to the events in Pokemon Protectors. It's still pretty under developed compared to the other 2, but it's getting there.
Nutleaf Town (where the player starts off) is the blue town at the very bottom right of the map.
Prof. Oak lives in this Region also.

<2nd region info will be posted at later date>
<3rd region into will be posted at a later date>

Conscious Choice:
The biggest gameplay feature.
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/5629/interview2xh7.png
The screen goes into black and white- everything slows down.
This feature allows the player to make different choices in the game.
From giving info- to stealing from marts (yup....) and to joining teams or organizations (yup....).
The slogan for this game is Action/Reaction- Cause/Effect.
Remember this when playing the game and making choices.
THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWERS.
But do remember this- if the choice involves a Team(Aqua, Magma, Protectors, Rangers and Rocket), the choice will effect your Reputation with them- which will effect if you can join them or not.

Battle System:
http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/5858/newbattlelayoutjj0.png
The battles take place on a window which appears when a battle starts.
All the official battle damage stuff- and catch rates and all that are all in place (yes in RM2K3 haters- there is 200 variables- with 150 common events- with thousands of lines of code).
Also, you will notice there are no EXP bars- that's because of Minerals.

Minerals:
Minerals are a new element to Pokemon. A "Mineral Tablet" is needed to level up a Pokemon. After battle, you earn "Mineral Bits."
Using the PokeCyber, you can turn these Mineral Bits into Mineral tablets. It takes 100 bits to make 1 tablet.
These tablets can be given to ANY Pokemon on your team. Making it easier to level up.
At early levels- 1 Mineral Tablet= 1 Level, but as your Pokemon grow stronger, it will take more tablets to gain 1 extra level.
For example. At level 50- it will take 6 Mineral Tablets to grow to level 51.

PokeCyber:=
*Please note, so far, only info has been released has been on the Storage system + Phone system.- for info on that, see page 13*
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9569/pokecybermainmenu11su1.png
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/6385/phonesystemshowcase2jh5.png
The PokeCyber is a device given to the player at the start of the game by Prof. Oak. It is a wireless device that connects to a network.
It has 4 main functions.
Pokemon Storage System (Protector's version of Bills PC)
Mineral management.
Phone system.
And Cheat Menu.
The PokeCyber itself was created by Prof. Ashbourne (of an unnamed region to the south), and it's online storage system was developed by Prof. Maple (of an unnamed region to the north).
Mart:
http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/3183/stealing1pt4.png
When entering in a mart, you get a shopping cart. You can fill this cart up with items you must pick up from the shelves.
You can pay for them, or try your luch and run out of the store and steal!

Reputation:
Making the choices will earn you Reputation Points or REP Points. Depending on this REP, the teams and even people in all 3 regions will act different towards you.
You can join teams if they like you enough. That means you can join Rocket or Protectors, or the other teams in the game. It's up to you. It will effect your storyline though.

Menu:
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/4145/newmenu1sx8.png
*Test team*
The main menu displays more info right off the bat. You've got the time and day, a "Quick Pokemon Menu" and the normal options.
Speaking of options, if you click into it, you can change the menu frame- it's transparency, and message frames.

Day/Night system:
Explains itself. Time passes by in the game- 1 game minute is 1 second in real life- to make the cycle go quicker. It gets dark out and the tone changes. Different events happen on different days and times. People even go home at night and come back out in the morning....

Well, thats pretty much everything covered.
This bit might sound soppy, but I make this game for you people. For your future enjoyment and current interest. If you look over the pages of this thread, you will see the game has been revamped and re-designed about 3 times now. I love your feedback, sure I like reading "great game", but it's the long posts- like 5-6 lines long are the ones I love. Your feedback is essential to this game's development. Please, post and ask me anything, suggest anything.
PM me if you wish. Join my forum and do the same. Please people, keep this great intrest and feedback coming all the way until this game is on your computer, and even then keep it coming for future releases!
Thanks very much guys.

Finally a game where you can join a team. But is there only evil teams or there will be good teams to join? Anyway i really like the battle system. Good luck with the game and hope you finish it.

January 30th, 2007, 05:36 PM
I for to mention some things in the first post.
I have now edited them in.

Credits and what the game is being made with have been added in.

@abed: There are six teams in the game. 3 good and 3 evil.
The good teams are:
The Pokemon Rangers
The Pokemon Protectors
And the PNX (Pokemon New-age Xtremests)

The 3 evil teams are:
Team Rocket
Team Aqua
Team Magma.

Each good and bad team will have their on values and takes on the pokemon and the pokemon world.

I'll have a post in the future with more detail on this.

Yeah, it's a shame about your other projects being discontinued. But you've taken the right attitude in using the new skills you've gained to start developing a new, better game.

The screens look cool, the battle system style is nice. I noticed that the Pokemon names aren't there, are they to be added later on?

I still don't really like the colours on that text box though..XD

I had a bit of time to work on the game today, but nothing worth telling about just yet. I'm mainly focusing on putting together the region and code in the foundation for the battle system

I have a video that I posted on youtube a few days ago.
It's my "Proof of concept" vid.
It's just to show the coding is done for the menu and the basics for the battle system.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VACIK_ixZGc

*please note, that some graphics are missing in the battle system (like the hero throwing the pokeball at the start of the battle) and bulbasaur appears from the middle of the screen. These have been fixed/corrected. *

I really like the video. It shows that you have progressed very far with your CBS, where most other games fail... And that's a big plus in my book ; )

I've got a quick update for you all on the development of the game.
As most of you may have seen in the video I posted earlier, alot of the ground work for th systems are in place. So I decided to start laying out the basic mapping. When I say mapping, I'm putting all the town/routes in and linking them together. The game will be like my previous games, no load times, or fades between outside maps. The outside maps will be like the normal pokemon games - as if it is all one big map.
I am also adding in place names to the maps, for example:
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/8180/route101xp7.png

I've also made some slight changes to the message system. The message box backgound will be 30% transparent- and the boarder is not transparent
EG:
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/7499/transparentmessageboxshtc1.png
It is a small touch, but adds to the feel of the game, since most message boxs or menus in Pokemon Protectors are around 30-50% transparent.

February 14th, 2007, 04:10 PM
I am doing alot of work on the game this week and I'm looking for members to submit various forms of custom resources.

What I mean by custom resources:
Custom trainer sprites (both "overworld" and "in battle" )
Custom tilesets and buildings
Custom Music or soundeffects.
Custom pokemon (sprite and "artwork" ).

I am also looking for someone who can do fan art for the game- but this can come at any stage.

Any custom resources that are accepted into the game will get you to be part of the games beta when it is out.
If you do not wish to post your resources, please send me a PM instead.

It's a shame that your other projects died before they were finished. I wish you the best of luck with this one as it seems very cool. The screens are amazing as should be expected from your third game. But to me the PNX sound sort of like the pokemon version of hippies.

Neo-Dragon
February 15th, 2007, 02:58 PM
Hahahaha, yeah, the PNX are like that. That was my point of making them, I didn't want all the teams feeling the same. I didn't want all the good teams out to save the world, all the evil teams to stop it. I want each one to have a reason for why they are involved in the storyline and I want the player to be able to play the game 6 times, each time picking a different team, and getting a different experience.

Anyways.....

Small update for you all. Since monday, I've had the whole week off and free. I am doing alot of work on my game.
As i said in the last update, I am currently linking the maps together.
Thanks to a plan I made before I began the project, I know how the maps are all linked with the storyline, and which towns the player will be going to in order. This has made it alot easier for me to fly through it.

I'm trying also to finish off all the basic things that need to be in the game on the maps. When I say basic things, it is the coding for jumping a ledge, and just making sure that code is on all of the ledges in the map or maps. Making the signs show when you press the ENTER key on them.
These things I say are basic, but most fan game developers, myself included, leave out these things, and these things add to the game feeling more rounded and more like an offical game.

Towns are still NOT POPULATED yet.....
The reason for this I want to code all of the stuff mentioned above (the "basic things" ) first - then the storyline and the NPCs will be last to go in.
So In the screenshot I'm about to show you, it may look a little bit bare, but don't worry, I will be fixing that after everythng for the map is done.....
http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/6302/readingsigninhometownhj4.png
It also shows the style of the sign message box, were it shows a small screenshot of the town too .

I'd love to hear what you think....
And remember, I'm looking for staff to help me :).
Thanks.

Hey, I've got a little proposition for ya...

Well, I was making a game called Pokemon Dark, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to get it done with everything goin on in my life, so, how about this...

We are still going to make the dex, but instead of 151, there are 251 pokemon, we have about 75-100 concepts in already, and official art is being done by the illustrious ShiShiKo (I'm sure you've heard of her, she is amazing!!) I'm offering you to use our dex in your game, so pretty much, we'll provide the custom pokemon with official artwork, and possibly sprites (we have one spriter atm, Absol Attacker).

That's all there is to it, just need a yes, or a no, it's all you're choice on if you wanna take the dex :)

I got a nice update for you all.
And yes, a nice bunch of screenshots.

The free week I had is almost up, and all the work I've done on the game has been put in .PNG form lol. In other words, I took screenshots of some of the stuff I did.
You can read some earlier posts I made about what I was working on for the week, but let me tell you, and then show you the screenshots.

First- something that doesn't have a screenshot in this post, I put in the coding for switching pokemon in battle. Thats big news, since it was one of the "hard" things about my CBS. Well, its done and fully working and the way I have coded it, it will work no matter how many more pokemon I add to the battle system.

Second, I have finished mapping most of the BIG citys in my game. YAY.
I said in the earlier post, I was mapping the region out and well, I'm almost complete mapping the outdoor stuff of the entire region!
The maps are not populated yet, so they will look empty (in terms of NPCs) in the screenshots, but bare with me.

Finally, I re-done the intro. The prof. Oak speech has been "re-scripted" slighty from the first way I coded it.

Well here are the screenshots:
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/3313/introboytq9.pnghttp://img441.imageshack.us/img441/8158/introgirlui2.png
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/9994/outsidecavefs9.pnghttp://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4471/routeot8.png
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/71/lamoscityxl8.pnghttp://img248.imageshack.us/img248/8897/vanmircitymu1.png.

There we go. 2 screenshots of the intro.
2 of a route and cave.
And 2 in two different Citys.

Pleae tell me what you think.
Thanks.

Hey everyone. Finally, I did it. The ground work is done for the bag system.... YAY.
The coding for displaying items- item backgrounds, the number of items and the coding for moving around in the bag are finally finished.
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/984/bagscreenshotmr0.png
It's funny, this was the first feature I started work on, and I am only getting the chance to show it nearly a month after I first posted about the game.
I'm just happy with the code I put it. Now, when I am adding in an item, its just a matter of copying and pasting, and changing the variable. I still have to put in what happens when you use the items, but that should be rather easy.
What took me song long with it was showing every item in every slot, and not just having slot one, just for, well potions- then have slot 2 just showing paralyze heal. I needed to put in code for, if the first slot in the bag was used, potion would be displayed in the next, and so on.

Anyways, I knew I would finish the groundwork for that feature soon, and I'm glad I did it so early in the development of the game :).
What do you think?

Edit: Also, just noticed when I posted that screenshot, "20%" of healing of MAX HP was an earlier idea of how to use the potions in the game, that has since changed, and its the normal 20 HP healing, thats just an old background in that screenshot, it now says "20 HP of Pokemon HP." Not "%"

I really like the way the bag is coming along!! Very nice!! :)

Neo-Dragon
February 20th, 2007, 03:59 PM
Small update this time, but funny enough, its still to do with the item system.

http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/1981/quickitemselectinbattlele8.png

I just finished coding the items for use in the battle system. In a system I was dubbing as the "Quick Item System."
Basically, its a grid style menu. Each grid is taken up with the items most used for battle.
The top row in the grid is for potions and so on.
The Middle row is "other" - stuff like antidote, paralyze heal and so on.
And the bottom row is for pokeballs.

NeoBlade
February 23rd, 2007, 08:39 PM
*off topic* Neo-Dragon, how can you use all these graphics, cause rm2k3 only uses a 256 color palette?
*on topic* Really nice, loving the custom graphics although it's to bad you dropped your other project...
keep up the good work :D, really looking forward for even a walk demo or something XD

Neo-Dragon
February 23rd, 2007, 09:18 PM
@ NeoBlade: I use MS Paint and save the file in full color 24-bit .bmp file. I then use Irfan View to "decrease color depth" to 256 colors..... you lose NO color. So its awesome. I suggest that if your using RM2k3- use IrfanView for your pics .

And, second. what the hell.
I taught I posted an update on the lastest edition of the main menu. I guess not.
I have added a new feature called the "Quick Pokemon Bar."
This system has been bedded into the main menu. I wanted a way for the player to quick interact with their pokemon.
So, I have put the pokemon selection bar (the same style thats used in the battle system) - into the main menu.....
So with a quick press of the down arrow (if you have options highlighted) or up arrow (if you have exit highlighted) - will take you onto the Quick Pokemon Menu.

Using left and right arrow keys, you can select which pokemon (see screenshot 1) and by pressing enter, you'll bring up a sub menu (see screenshot 2).
In the sub menu, you have:
Ability: If a pokemon knows a HM, select ability and the game will automatically know which HM you want to use. EG. standing in front of a bush will use CUT (that is if the pokemon knows cut).
Summary: Will bring up a summary of the pokemon you have highlighted.
Switch: Re-arrange your pokemon.
Exit: Exits the sub menu and returns to the menu.

Here are the 2 screenshots:
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/5182/quickpokemonmenu1nr9.pnghttp://img258.imageshack.us/img258/3562/quickpokemonmenu2om0.png

What do you think?

Edit: Although, it should be assumed, that team is my "test" team. I just set the variables of each pokemon slot to the starters and their evos..... It's easier since its just setting them between 1-9 lol.

All I can say is awesome. Your custom systems look great, and your mapping is flawless.

By the way, I can probably make you some custom tiles if you want (I saw you wanted people to submit custom resources). I also have some premade ones, too. Just check Calis Projects for them.

Look's great, another great program to use for colour depth is Photoshop but if you can't get your hands on that I'm sure Irfan View works just as well. Works a charm. But yeah everything looks great.

This won't be an issue for seasoned Pokémon players, but your Quick Item System for battle might be a little bit confusing for new players without any text saying what the items are. I have to seriously think what a Revive looks like, seeing as it's a bit weird :P

It's just a minor issue you may need to think about, it certainly LOOKS very classy. Keep up the great work! :)

Ok. After almost a week of no update, or post.... I can finally show off the new graphics.
The graphics are made by Kyle Dove- so now he gets his slot in the credits.

I have always loved his graphics, and I actually started mapping Pokemon Protectors with his graphics when I started the game back in November. But then decided to get rid of them because I taught it would delay the game re-doing chipsets with those graphics.
Now, I had a change of heart. I decided to re-do the chipset of the first town with the graphics to see how it would look....
And it turned out pretty sweet.
So, I decided to remake my chipsets with his graphics. Yes, I am just going against the reason I got rid of them in the first place, but I really think the graphics give a nice feel to the game, and the strong greens in the tiles really mix well with the green message boc and battle system lol.

Since it is only the chipsets that are re-made, the map work is still the same. So I will only show a few screenshots just to showcase the graphics- and not really the mapping.

Here are some screenshots:

I'm not sure if I will change the color of the buildings. Wouldn't be hard to do ofcourse, just take long lol.
I doubt I will though.
I like the contrast it gives. The game looks really nice in motion with that contrast too. There are a few ground tiles- *not in the screenshots*- that also give a contrasting feel, not in a bad way.

I like it.
I love it.

In fact, I like it so much that I'll put custom tiles in Metro too LOL
Seriously, the tileset colors are just so nice, gives a sense of peace... pretty awesome.

I'm imagining myself playing Protectors with those lovely tiles, hearing pokemonish travel songs... Awesome!

Update time.

Ok, so the first thing I done was revamp the speech at the start with Prof. Oak.
I made it a bit more tradional to the offical pokemon games. My first version of the speech was really short. Now, it's just like the real games.
I added in some pre-set names for the hero/rival (which you can see in the screenshots).

I also finished off the all of the intro events. I still have to do the event of you getting your first pokemon, but all of th storyline stuff at the start is done.
The hero and his family move region rom Kanto to Altar. They go by boat, then by Van. And when they get to the first town (Nutleaf Town), they are given a warm welcome from the people that live there. (which you can see in the rest of the screenshots).
*Intro*

Also, something I have coded which isn't in the screenshots is how NPCs (Non-playable Characters) will react to the hero.
The hero has 3 stats which effect how people in Protectors see you.
Allignment (what team you are with) will ofcourse effect them in an obvious way.
Reputation will effect what they say to you in general. The higher Rep you have, the more your known in different towns. Each rank of your Rep will have an effect on them.
And a new stat- Morality- will again, effect what they say and what they do around you.
It is really cool seeing it actually happen, but I'll try explain. If you have a high Rep, people will be more aware of you, and talk about how they read about you in the papers. But depending on your moraility- people will either love you, or hate you.
If you have a high Rep and a high Moraility (good) stat, people will actually follow you around while you are in their home town.
On the other hand, if you have a high Rep, and low Moraility(bad) people will actually run from you.
It really is fun to watch.

Your Rep Ranking is on a scale of 1-10.
Here is an example of how it works:
Rep ranking:
0- Not known at all.
1- Not known anywhere but in Nutleaf Town
2-Known in towns 1-2.
3-Known in towns 1-3 and local hero in Nutleaf
4-Known to towns 1-4.
5-Known to town 1-5. Team Admins and other trainers heard of you. Worshiped in Nutleaf (people run to you if your good, or hide if your evil).
6: Known in towns 1-6. Team grunts have heard of you. Team Admins want you on their Team.

And it goes on like that.

So what do you think.

DarkPegasus
March 19th, 2007, 05:20 AM
I've just noticed this, but it's really cool how the charters' names are in blue ^_^

The NPC features look really neat, it will certanly add depth to the game...
Is there more rep than six or is six maximum?

Awesome screenshots!

I'm in love with that little room in the boat lol It looks so... small and real.
I gotta admit that this is one of the best Rm2k3 games I've ever seen... the way you use everything available to create a Pokemon-looking game.

I really think this is going to be one of the major games around in the next few months.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far.
At NeoBlade: I'm glad that the tutorial I PMed you helped you. I plan on posting it here. Oh, as for the help, thanks for the offer, but I am not looking for an extra coder at this time. Maybe sometime later.

At everyone:
Ok, so I never showcase a feature that is not finish, which is why it took me so long to show this update off.
I have finally coded a new feature into Pokemon Protectors. This feature is not something that will change Pokemon games, but it will add some life and longer gameplay to Pokemon Protectors.
This new feature is the addition for the player to have Secret Bases.
It was something I have planned to add in for awhile and never got around to coding it.
Then when I started coding it, it took ages because of how it had to be done (coding the grid menu, placing the objects, making sure they stay there and so on).
But it is done and dusted so here are some screenshots to show it off.
I'll talk you through some of them.

*Please note, that this is a test base. Bases on the actual maps will be more detailed in terms of mapping.*

So the first 2 screenshots show the grid menu, after selecting the item you wish to place, the Grid Menu pops up.
A red highlighted square is your cursor and you can move it around in any direction with your arrow keys.
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/4453/designingsettingpiece1de6.pnghttp://img294.imageshack.us/img294/3516/designingsettingpiece2vz4.png
After selecting the tile on where you want to place the Item, simply press Enter.
http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/5136/designingsettingpiece3fo9.png
Now, in the top right corner where I had selected, is the plant I wanted to place there.

Customisation of your base can be very detailed.
Each player can have a base that is theirs and noone elses. (Unless someone copys you lol).
Here are some examples of the base changing as you get more items for it.

Neo-Dragon
March 24th, 2007, 07:49 PM
At ~Azura: Yeah, Items will be awarded for doing different quests and favors along the way.
At NeoBlade: That would be kinda hard to give just a straight up stat or percentage. I can try though lol.
Eh:
Outside maps would be 65% done.
Inside maps: 4-8%
Events: ???% (up to where you get your first pokemon)
CMS Coding: I'm including everything accesed through the main menu too- like the Cross Pokemon Bar and bag and so forth. And since I am going to re-code the bag im going to say 50%
Battle System: 50%- attacks still have to be done- and Item usage.

Small update for you all.
I just coded in the Day/Night system.
As of writing this, that is all it is, time passes by and the screen tints lol. There is nothing coded in terms of what pokemon appear at what time or timed events, but I'll code all that in due time.
With the tint screen- there are not just 4 colors (for morning, day, dusk, and night)- but infact the screen changes tone has several stages of color tint.
So here are 2 screenshots at 5AM and 6AM
http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/6910/5amvn2.pnghttp://img144.imageshack.us/img144/8971/6amrg2.png
I tried to take the screenshots of the hero standing in the same spot. So at 5AM it starts to get brighter, at 6AM the sun is a bit stronger.
And each hour (7AM, 8AM, 9AM) has a different tint until it is fully day light.

So here are some more screenshots too.
This time of night breaking.
The times are 7PM, 9PM, 12AM.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.
Didn't really see any questions since my last update, but if you have any, feel free to ask me here. I'm always happy to answer them.
There was a suggestion to add in lights to houses in the day and night system. There is a problem as Rm2k3 tints everything on screen, including the charactersets and chipsets. So it would be kind of hard to do, unless I used pictures- which I might.

So.

Update:
Just a small, but nice, update for you all.
I have just revamped the menu to look more like Diamond and Pearl. After some quick changing the code, and importing the new resources I decided to add in the new look.
But I've also started working on the options screen. The options menu aint fully done yet, so I won't showcase that just yet, but one of the options is to change the menu frame.
It's a small cosmetic change, but makes a difference as it is something that is forgotten in most fan games.
Screenshots:

Notes:
Good thing about this feature is that I can keep release meu frame updates to make no limit to the look of the menu.
Also, I must point out, thats a test team and a test map :P

As always, comments welcomed.

Also, I'm working like crazy on my game, so expect some more screenshots later in the week. Im trying to finish off the attack coding.

Here is an update, so keep those comments flowing in after this.

@NeoBlade: I havn't even read my PMs yet. I have a few, so I'll read them later and get back to you. (im in a rush, so im just posting this update then logging off, you should hear from me soon though :) )

@NeoBlade and Everyone who had concerns with transparency:
Well, I got an update for you all. The option menu is done, and one option is the abilty to turn the trasparent background on or off.
So it's up to the player to chose if they want it or not.
The option screen may look bare, but the reason is, I've coded it so that options can be added along the way.

Enough talk though, here are screenshots with the options adjusted. It's the same set of screenshots, just with adjustments to the message and menu boxs so focus on those :) Example, different frames and messagebox styles and the transparency on or off .

Hey it looks great! The only thing that looks strange is options menu background. Looks like it should be white. But other than that looks great.

Also I'm guessing that map is some kind of test map? Cos I see some mapping mistakes. Just thought I'd point it out for you. You see the building on the left hand side.. its cut off slightly. Well the flower boxes are in a very odd spot they need to be down at least 7 pixels..
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b264/rm2k3kid/morelikethis.png

Also in the top right corner, where the mountain ends you have the wrong tile instead of grass underneath it is rock.
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b264/rm2k3kid/mistakeno2.png

Also I noticed you used a R/S character.. doesn't blend in with FR/LG graphics.

Lol Dash at that pic.....

Thanks everyone for such a positive responce. And yeah, Dash, I think it might be the first game even with a working option screen lol. About the whole frame thing, if you look at the Option screen, the window is alligned a bit to the left, that is because if I want to add ore frames i nthe future, I can expand the numbers easy. At the moment there are 5 of each (menu and messagebox). That could go up to 8 or even 10 before the release.

Thanks Rm2k3kid for pointing that out to me..... It is not a test map, although the chatacter on it is. I have a reason for those errors lol.... hear me out..... lol.....
That map was first done in normal Fr/LG graphics, then when I switched to KyleDoves graphics, I left out certain tiles (example, the right tile for that rock part) and I had alligned those flowers wrong.
I fixed those....

The R/S/E character was a mistake. Was only there for the test (as you can tell by hhis text).
*On a side note, has anyone got FR/LG N.P.Cs in RM2k3 character format that they could send me? I have a select few, but not all of them. I'm not looking for a sheet with them now.... Just in characterset form (since it would save time if they were).*

Don't worry everybody, I'm not giving up on this and not dead or anything.
I just didn't want to post until I had something (screenshots) to post about....

Finally..... I do....

After almost a month of no screenshots, I taught I'd better post some to keep everyone intrested.....

I present, the new bag system- compete with the new look of the diamond/pearl bag and some new coding I did.
Sorry for the wait, but I wanted to wait until it was coded before I showed it off.
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/5277/newbagscreenshot1uh5.png

And ofcourse, if you wish, you can make the bag system's graphics transparent by chosing so in the main menu:

What you think?

The new look and revamped bag system
Third time's a charm

Ok everyone, this is it.
My third and hopefully final version of the bag system.

After running into trouble coding the Diamond/Pearl bag system, I decided to make my own bag system from scratch. I got some mixed reactions to the diamond/pearl bag, some saying it was too complicated. So this new version is really simple.
I've coded it all into the main menu so it works right off the bat.

The bag now has a simple interface.
Press the number 1 or 3 keys to change the bag pocket, and the left and right arrows to change the highlighted slot.
Items will also be highlighted when selected (they appear grey when not selected).
The number of the item of which you are highlighting appears on the bottom right of the bag screen.

Here are some images:
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/2789/revampedbagscreenshot1oe2.pnghttp://img413.imageshack.us/img413/2116/revampedbagscreenshot2rs4.png

And again, like every menu or interface in the game, you can choose to have the background transparent through the options menu.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
If it's a big issue I'll edit the bag so it shows the x5 instead of the x:05. But its not really a big concern since it is something that can be done at a much later date into development.

But I've got a new feature for you.
A New way to level up pokemon.
Information copied from my forums:
Minerals:

In POKeMON Protectors, there will be a new way to level up Pokemon.
By feeding your Pokemon "Mineral tablets" (name may change), your pokemon will gain a level.
In the style of a rare candy, 1 Mineral tablet will gain your pokemon you've given it to by 1 level.

How to get them:
After you defeat a pokemon in battle (wild or trainer), the defated pokemon will drop "Mineral Bits" (again, name may change).
The amount will vary.
Once you have 100 Mineral bits, you can form 1 Mineral Tablet

How to access them:
Minerals will be stored in your "Mineral Box" which will be placed in your key items pocket of your bag.
Simple select your mineral box from the bag to bring up a sub menu....
The sub menu will show you what mineral tablets you have and how many you have got.
The Mineral Box will also show how many Mineral Bits you have.
The Mineral Box's menu will also have the option to convert bits into tablets.

Types of Minerals Tablets:
There will be different types of Mineral Tablets you can get in Pokemon Protectors.
Ordinary Mineral Tablets can be made by the player easly through the Mineral Box sub option.
But special Mineal Tablets can also be made.
Different Mineral Tablets can be made by a Mineral Smith (who will live in the region).
Different Mineral tablets will require different amounts of bits and other special items to make.

The effect of different minerals can effect stats and even bring on a new type of evloution to pokemon.

More info when its available

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So there you have it, a new feaure and a new way to level up Pokemon in the game....
Also, this new feature will bring in a new line of pokemon that can be leveled up using this method on exsiting pokemon.....

Comments and taughts please?

Hey everyone. I've been working pretty hard on my game latley, here is what I've done and some couple of screenshots to go with it. ;)
(Screenshots will be at the end of the post)

I'm going to keep what I did in simple form because I did a really confusing post on my forum of what I did and it came across as more of a ramble lol.

Here is what I did:
Coded in basics of Enemy "A.I". Enemy's use the correct attacks according to their level and the attack they use is randomly generated thanks to some nice coding maths with the variables.
- - - - - - -
Bulbasaur has been fully coded in terms of both on the hero/players side and an enemy/wild pokemon side. So that means Bulbasaur is fully usable in battle.
- - - - - - -
I've also coded in the official pokemon battle damage formula. So attacks do the correct ammount of damage that they would do in the official Pokemon games.
- - - - - - -
Mineral Bits are given out after you defeat a enemy pokemon. I've included some maths in the code so that the ammount given out is based on the enemy pokemons' level and is randomly generated between a certain set of numbers depending on the level.
- - - - - - -
Something I havn't showed off yet is the attack menu (which is in the screenshots at the bottom of the post).
That has been coded and shows the right attacks and so on without errors, also selecting attacks works just great so thats done.
- - - - - - -

So without much more delay:

Here are some screenshots of A Bulbasaur -v- a Bulbasaur on a test map...
Showcasing attack animations and attack menu.
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/5695/attackmenubulbasaur1iq4.pnghttp://img248.imageshack.us/img248/8743/attackmenubulbasaur2ok7.png
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9585/attacksherobulbasaurusixq2.pnghttp://img248.imageshack.us/img248/2590/attacksenemybulbasaurusqz8.png

Thanks for the support so far everyone and keep all of the support coming on as strong as ever.
Enjoy, and as always leave some comments ;)

thats really nice.

can i just say something...
I've also coded in the official pokemon battle damage formula. So attacks do the correct ammount of damage that they would do in the official Pokemon games.

from my memory the REAL formula requires EV points and what not. and those EV points are like really hard to determine and everythuing.
just a question. is it the EXACT formula or have you tweaked it ever so slightly, so slightly that it wouldnt really make a difference.

Booda Sack
June 27th, 2007, 05:55 AM
The EV points are only hard to determine in the actual games because you can't see them. If you are coding a game it's totally different because you code in all the hidden values.

jaysonic
June 27th, 2007, 10:47 PM
but you dont no the hidden values. thats what i am trying to say. lol. do you just make up the EV points? because i spose you could do that...

New update for you.
This update includes an artical on the feature (taken from my Calis Projects website) and a guide on how to use it.

Oh and 2 bonus screenshots :P

The new PokeMart feature.
Shopping.
Here is an extract taken from the Calis Projects website My-Lifeonline.com:
"In Pokemon Protectors, upon entering a Mart, you will be able to go up and take items from shelves and add them to your cart.
Your cart can only hold 5 of each item at one time EG. 5 Potions and/or 5 Pokeballs and so on.
You can go and pay for your items which will empty your cart and add the items you bought to your bag for use.

Since Pokemon Protectors allows you to chose your own destiny, an intresting thing to point out
is the fact that if you wish to be evil, you CAN steal from the store! You will not always get away with it though.
There are police and security in the Marts to stop people who wish to do that. But it is possible to get away with it.
If you are alligned with any 3 of the evil Teams or Organisations within the game (Rocket, Magma, Aqua), a grunt from your team
may help you get away safely!
Remember, stealing effects your moral rating. So if you want to be good, you might want to pay for your stuff.

Another really cool features inside the Mart is that the NPCs(Non-Playable Characters) have their own A.I.
Instead of just standing around in the mart, they will shop too. People will even come in and out of the Mart to
do a bit of shopping! Also, some Team Grunts may even steal from the store!"

So let's go have a small walkthrough style guide for this:
*Images included*
As it says, upon entering a Mart, a HUD (Heads Up Display) will appear on sreen.
It will showcase your "Shopping Cart" and how much money you have.
Now unlike the official games, were you can go up to the counter and buy your items, you have to "shop" for them by getting them off the shelves.
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_1.png
As you can see, there is the HUD and the player looking at the shelf. It has a potion.
The player is presented with the option to add the item to the cart.

Another thing touched in the artical from the website is NPCs have their own behavior. Here in this second screenshot we can see that a NPC has entered the shop and began to go ahead his own business.
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_2.png
As you can also see, the player has several items in his cart.

Again, players have to find the items on the shelves. This may seem confusing, but I have intended it not to be too confusing.
Here, by simply pressing enter facing the shelf, you can see another item.
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_3.png
In this case, a Pokeball is here.

Again, touching on the NPC behavior, here in this screenshot, the NPC has moved up to pay for his items. This helps add the feeling that the world is lived in.
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_4.png

When you are done, and have decided that you will pay for the items and not steal them (good thing too since a poilceman is standing at the dorr), go up to the main who works in the mart.
You will be given a choice to pay for your items, or the mart worker will empty your Cart for you.
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_5.png
For the propose of taking screenshots, I chose the "Nothing" option so I could take more.

Like every interface- you can set the background of the HUD transparent via the Options screen:
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_6.png

And just for fun, here are 2 bonus screenshots not on the website:
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/pokemonprotectorsscreenshots/MartFeature_queforming.png
A que is forming.

Probably there's an event that checks if you have items in your cart and asks you if you want to discard the items before leaving, otherwise you can't go out.

Neo-Dragon

You can walk out without paying. It's called stealing ha.
Since the game allows for the player to be good or bad, if you want to steal, you can, but ofcourse it will make you a bad person. But watch out, the guard can stop you but will not send you to jail (since the hero character is too young). You will be sent back to your Grandpa's house. Which can be a drag if you stole in a far off city and don't have fly lol.
I think I said this in the other post, but anyways, if you are a member of an evil team, the grunts of the team your with can help you from getting caught.

It is possible to stop a grunt. But I don't really ant to talk bout that yet, since I havn't actually coded it in the game yet (it's just planned as pat of the mart feature). When its done, I'll let you know.

And, you don't have to steal if you have items in your cart. You can ask the mart worker to empty your cart for you.

If you guys have any more questions, feel free to ask, and there is a guide on how to use the mart feature my website incase you get confused.

EDIT:

I posed this on my forums and not on my site since the update wasn't finished, but I'll post it here just to prove the game aint dead.

The update is, I have been rather busy with the game and decided to go back to the drawing board so to speak with both the story and the region.
So I am currently writing the story in wordpad and it's not done, so info on that won't be told yet. But the region itself has got alot bigger. Routes now have 2 or more paths to go along and the towns and citys have a bit of character.
I have taken screenshots of the Altar Region in it's revamped glory.

Mainly just of the first 2 towns and 2 routes.
I've updated the graphics slighty by change the colors slightly and adding in new tiles such as the tall grass.
I've also imported the music from Diamond/Pearl. So you'll be playing the game with the latest soundtrack :P

Well here are the screenshots:

Hey everyone. A game update. Finally I hear you cry!

This update is part of my game revamp. Nothing on the new storyline just yet, but this update should keep you all happy for awhile.

The first part of the update is that a new option has been added to the options menu.
The option to turn the message box background black or white.
Something small, but this can help the player customise the look that suits them and expands on the already big option menu.

In the screenshot I took, I also made the messagebox background transparent (also done in the options screen).
http://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/blackmessageboxbackground_transparent.png

The next part of the update is that I have revamped the pokemon selecting screen from in the battles.
The old look has a cross pokemon selection bar in the middle of the screen.
I have now moved that up to the top of the battle window, and display information on the current pokemon highlighted in the menu.
The info now displayed is:
The Pokemon HP
The Pokemon Level
The Pokemon Status (being paralyzed for example)
And the pokemon frontsprite.

Again, the idea was to keep it simple for the player to use and yet offer the information needed for him/her to make the right choice in battle.

http://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/revampedTeamSwitching1.pnghttp://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/revampedTeamSwitching2.png

Tell me what you think. Hope you all like it.

Well it is here.
The big update that alot of you have been waiting for.
It is great to be finally writing about it.
For, what I think, has been a month of talk and alot of work, it's done!

The first stages of the revamping process!

I have talked about how i felt I had to revamp the hole game over,
from storyline, the region, and even features.
I felt that the first 5 minutes of gameplay are the most important, and they
set the player up for whats to come in the game.
Well, this is what I'm going to show off today.
The first 5 minutes!

http://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/Revampedstoryline1.pnghttp://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/Revampedstoryline2.png

Ofcourse, the game starts off with Prof. Oak giving you his traditional
intro speech.
If you wish, he will explain the adventure you are about to go on. Well that is,
he will explain the traditional adventure you WOULD go on.
But once this speech is over, you become aware, that this
will not be a traditional pokemon adventure.
It begins with a scene of you and your granpa looking over a cliff side.
Suddenly, you see something crash into the mountains... The ground shakes with the impact.

http://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/Revampedstoryline3.png

Just as you go to run off, you get an unexpect visitor....
Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket!
As you might guess, this isn't an ideal situation.
But it gets worse!
Team Mamga and it's leader Maxie join in....
And to make matters completely worse,
Team Aqua and it's leader Archie come along to.
Without giving away too much info,
You manage to get away before anything serious happens.

http://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/Revampedstoryline4.pnghttp://www.my-lifeonline.com/images/Revampedstoryline5.png

The screen goes black and fades into a scene.
The setting...
The Altar Region Police station.
The Commissioner is giving a speech to two teams about what has happened.
Sitting on the left are the Pokemon Rangers, and the Ranger Leader Lana.
Sitting on the right are the Pokemon Protectors, and the Protector Leader Liam.
The Commissioner fills them in on Mewtwo, the the presence of Team Rocket.
The 3 teams (3 including the police) decide to head to Lamos City, the city nearest the crash and investigate,
but they are unaware of Team Magma and Team Aqua.

What excellent style of using those tilesets and events even if those are yours anyway. Very good! I mean just brilliant! Someone should put a 2007 best Pokemon Game Nomination for this thread and put yours as 1st place for RM2K3! It's just getting hot here!

New Update.

well kinda.

This is a peak at a future update about a major feature of the game.
Ofcourse, a Pokemon game is all about adventuring and battling, but Pokemon Protectors allows the plater to become good or evil.
The game allows the player to join a team or organisation of your choice....

How this is done will be revaled in a big update coming soon, but here is a new screenshot just to keep you smiling!
It's the Stat Card (replaces trainer card, since most of the info shows up on the main menu's window anyways).

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/6832/revampedstatcard1bg3.png

So, each team has their own bar. If the bar's black indicator is in the middle or yellow zone, the team has no real opinion on you. If it's in the red zone, this means the team hates you and will try and get in your way.
If it's in the green zone, it means this team likes you, and they will help you through out the game.
And the Pokeballs under your picture is your trainer rep.
There is 5 pokeball rep slots to fill. The more you have, the more of an established trainer you are!

Again, stay tunned for the future update to explain how this all works out!

Thanks for the great comments everyone. Means alot as always.
And no this game aint dead, it is just that the project is so big, updates are along time part. Also, i like to post meaningful updates, so thats another reason.
Have faith people.

Got none?
Well let me restore some!

Well this update took alot longer then expected.

It is a really big update, so there will be alot to read. I'll make another thread on one of the features.

Sorry to everyone who was waiting on it, I know I said I would post it yesterday, but I got a horrible bug with the pokemon re-aranging system that needed to be fixed or else I wouldn't post it.
But as you can guess, It's fixed now.

As of writing, this update is not up on the main website, but should be up later tonight.

I'll go into detail what has been done, and give you an insight to my mindset as I did all of it.

Speaking of my mindset, I'm draining from working on this ha... It took awhile to do, but it needed to be done.
My thinking of this update was to improve some lazy code work I had done and to improve actual gameplay for the player rather then just a system that the player will not notice.

So my first part of this update is more of the introduction/storyline has been coded and a great scene happens with the player being interviews by the police. I won't spoil it here, but you can head over to my forums for the inside look. I will post the update here in the future for everyone to see soon!
The new feature that is in the game plays a vital role to the story and effects the game right from the start!

******

Ok, so remember I said this update is big right?
As well as adding this vital gameplay feature I have also added a new item.
It is simply a Diary that is given to you to help you keep track of what you have to do.
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/9139/introdiaryvy6.pnghttp://img368.imageshack.us/img368/3667/diaryinbagxm0.png
http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/9647/diaryfirstentrymp5.png

This diary will get updated as you play through the game. This helps make it easier for the player to start playing the game and knowing what she/he has to do.
Also, you can make the background transparent from the menu.
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/5984/diaryfirstentrytranspardx1.png

Now, onto the menu.
You may remember a feature know as the Cross-Pokemon Bar, or Quick Pokemon bar.
This showed you what pokemon was on your team on the main menu.
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/2203/menuhighlightedpokemonre4.png
Well this has also been updated.
With the press of the enter key, you will be taken to the Universal Pokemon Menu.
This is the same pokemon menu layout thats used in battles.
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/5078/universalpokemonmenuvu7.pnghttp://img368.imageshack.us/img368/2609/universalpokemonmenu2nm9.png
It displays the information needed when you need it.

Again, this menu is know as the Universal Pokemon Menu for a reason. It has the same look for everything...
Even using items.
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/6066/usingitemsoverworld1rb2.pnghttp://img485.imageshack.us/img485/3160/usingitemsoverworld2fq4.png

This is like this because it will be stream-lined for the player! No confusing different menus. All the same look to the pokemon menus!

So please tell me what you think of this update, as I worked really hard on it.

*** More updates still to come!!!! Including this new VITAL feature soon***

Neo-Dragon

Thanks guys.
Remember I said there was a new feature which would change the way you would play the game, and that this new feature was vital!

Well....

HERE IT IS!
The Conscious Choice Feature!
Thats right....
Some of you will remember this if you have played my older game, Silk2 (Download here : http://www.freewebs.com/martyrgames/Pokemo..._v01.9_real.zip (http://www.freewebs.com/martyrgames/Pokemon_Silk_2_Demo_v01.9_real.zip) ).
This feature made the game.
This feature made it stand out from the rest of the games.

Why?

Because it was for this feature that the player could choice his or her own path.
This feature allowed you to make choices, and with each choice came different outcomes.
And lead to the demo of Silk2 having 3 different endings.

Well now. This feature is back in Pokemon Protectors, with the choices and effects blown up!
I have said in earlier posts that you could join Teams right?
I have said you could become good or bad and people could like or dislike you right?

Well I wasn't lying!

Lets have a deeper look!

Here is a scene from the intro of the game.
It is about 5 minutes into the game.
After seeing Giovanni, Team Magma (and it's leader Maxie) and Team Aqua (with it's leader Archie), the police stop by your house to ask you some questions.
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/8118/interview1gv5.png

Suddenly, before he asks you questions, the screen's colors are drained.
Everything is silent.
And the little voice in your head can be heard!
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/5629/interview2xh7.pnghttp://img368.imageshack.us/img368/3590/interview3vk0.png

Right off the bat, 5 minutes into gameplay, this feature kicks in.

As I said, the choices you make WILL effect the gameplay!

Right...
So you are being interviewed by the officer.
Instead of just pre-scripted answers, you can choose what intormation to give him!
http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/7730/interview4og7.png
As the screenshot says, the choice is yours.

First Question:
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/2467/interview5sz8.png
Do you?
It's very clear in the opening cutscene (which was posted in an earlier post) that Giovanni was after Mewtwo.... But do you want to tell the officer that?
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/3188/interview6mg6.png

Ok, the first question has 2 choices. Very simple. But the outcome will effect your reputation with Team Rocket.
Telling the officer will make your REP Points with Team Rocket decrease.
Giving no information will make your REP Points with Team Rocket increase.
In this case. I'll tell.

Remember, just cause you told on Team Rocket, it doesn't mean your good. It just means Team Rocket will not like you as much. But the other 2 evil teams still have no opinion of you!

After I picked yes, my stat card was shown and Team Rocket's REP Points decrased by 2!

Second Question:
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/7640/interview7tv0.png
Again, yes, we know that Team Magma and Team Aqua members and leaders showed up.
But do you tell the officer.

Let's look at the choice!
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/7154/interview8au8.png
Hmmm.
This has 4 choices!
And the effects are more complex.
You can say tha both teams were there, and post teams REP points will decrease.
Or you can say only 1 Team was there, and which ever Team you give info on REP Point will dcrease, and the team you DON'T give info on REP Points will increase!
OR
You can say neither team was there and have both teams REP Points increase!

The choice is yours.
I decided to say noone else showed and look what happened.
http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/4339/interview9ey0.png

You can see both Team Aqua's and Team Magma's Rep Points both increased (also note, Team Rockets decreased from earlier).

***

Well end
