A few Questions

1) I have imported some palletes in advance map but the picture appears in wierd colors. They're not the colors that appear in the game. How do I get them to appear in regular color?

2) Also When I'm making a whole new set of palletes will advance map put it all in grid format equally for me as long as keep the in size and width format they were in.

You can export tilesets using Advancemap. After you export the tileset you want, import it into the game you want that tileset in. Unfortunately, you'd have to palette hack to make the new tileset look like it was in ruby/firered because it looks awful if you don't... Hope I've helped!

one way to do it is to decrease the number of events but i DONT recomend this as you cant pick the one that gets taken away. If you dont want it put in some trees that way it wont have any effect on gameplay

I haven't been able to find this out but i know it can be done.

What is the best way to insert new music into a rom, ease isn't an issue to me anymore now that i've started to get the hang of editing roms :)

If anyone knows can u please answer as it would help me out a lot.

Just change the event number from the event you want to delete to a number higher then any other on the map ;)

Hey I have a quick question about sappy. Yes, I have used the search. My problem seems to be unique. I figured out how to use midi2gba, and i inserted the midi file. It plays just fine in sappy, but it won't work in-game, it just sounds like static. I am using scizz's ripped midi files from diamond, if that helps. Please help me figure out this problem! Thank you very much!

Hi

I've created a New town For Pokemon Ruby using the Advance Map Editor but how do i use the create New Names Button. Its always greyed out, and using the Change Name Button Changes the Name of My town and the Town selected in the Drop down menu

If you had created a new map since you selected another map than your new map has the same properitys than the selected map(That includes the map name as well!)

It's really a simple question because you can't find Pallet Town im unLZ. You have to use Advancemap or Elitemap. But I think Advance map is better than Elitemap.;)

Ok so if I find the offsets in advance map how do I edit them from there cuz I used the crappy method of saving the tile sets but the colors come out horrible for the tiles

Yes you have to change the colors palette. But don'T ask me just read the tut.:classic:

When I run OW RE, I load FR, and when I put my cursor over that yellow-ish color, I get runtime error 9. I've installed the VB6.0 files and I have them in it's folder.

Any suggestions to get it working?

Maybe the rom isn't clean. Is there any other way to tell if it is?

Edit: My friend, we are using the same rom, and it errors us both, so it must be the rom.

You have to create a new warp point. Just raise the warp events by one. Put it where you want and give it the Mapbank numbers of the map the warppoint should lead you. Look at Warppoints of maps and compare it. You should find out how it works. If not I'm going to PM you a Pictut okay? But first try to find it out by yourself.

It's fine.

Do you have a way to tell if the ROM is clean? I don't want to make the same mistake.

Just unzip the ROM-file again.

Click on it and hold. Than put it there where you want.

So that I don't repeat my question from before that wasn't answered yet word for word, has anyone tested using the midi files from D/P? I know that you can insert them, but do they work when you her them in-game? If this doesn't make sense, please read the post from before I made. I don't expect an immediate response, I figured that I may have been confusing earlier in my post since no one was responding to mine. Thanks!

There are two methodes.
1. With unLZ. Search by the numbersd 6**-14**. Save the Pokémonpic change it and import it. Write it to your ROM. But be careful. You shouldn't unmark the "Auto abort" button!

2. With Poképic. You can get it on every ROM-hackingtools site. Do the same as above.

Is that what it looks like in game? If so, it's probably too many pixels. When you add it in via unlzGBA, tell it an image offset (use freespace finder to find one). Make sure you have the pointers option checked as well.

Its because your sprite is bigger then old one

Yes you have to write an ereasescriptpart in your script. Maybe you should have a look at an Item in your map or ask someone if he/her can give you an erease part. But its easier if you post your script. So all can find your mistake.:surprised:

I'm not sure if this really belongs here but...
1. On Emerald, is it a Flag that makes PokeNav appeear on the Start Menu?
2. If so, what Flag is it?
3. Can you take away something from it such as... the Map?
4. If so, can you add the map back later by talking to someone?
5. Can you make the game start in the room without SMCA, and completely eliminate the truck(For Emerald)?

It has 3 fields.
Warp no.
Map Bank
(and)Map.
Okay, for Warp. No, you go to map you want and find out what is the Event Number for the warp you want to go to.
For Map Bank and Map, if you hover over the place you want to go(on the sidebar) it gives you a number like 3,5. If thats it, put 3 on map Bank and 5 on Map.

Ugh, another problem with a program. Great lol.

When I run PET, and load my FR rom, I look for a Pokemon I want to change, but the names are really strange. I haven't edited the names for the Pokemon at all. It doesn't let me go graphic(it errors me o.o), and I don't know what the Pokemon names are.

Any advice/suggestions etc?

I know this isn't a tool request thread.. but where can I find PET in english?

Also I'm trying to edit the text in Pokemon Ruby and it only goes up to Route 101.. What can I do so I can get all the routes, towns, ect?

If this message appears you made something wrong in your script. Post the script so everyone can take a look at it and find the error.

1.No clue was IrfanView is sorry.
2.It means your rom is corrupt. It won't be hackable or clean. Go find a clean one.

IrfanView is like an Paint program but it also can play movies and play sounds. But I don't like it.

Ok, I only downloaded Advance Map about 15 min. ago, and joined this forum about 10 min. ago, so I have no clue how to use anything. I have a Pokemon Ruby ROM, and I was wondering if someone could give me a tutorial changing anything at all just to show me how it works, and answer some of my questions below:

1. Are you able to play a ROM in Advance Map?

2. If not, is there a progrma that will let you do this?

3. Can you create your own Pokemon games with Advance Map and a Pokemon ROM?

2. VisualBoy Advance will allow you to play Roms

3. You can create your own hacks of the originals with AdvanceMap and other useful tools. It's not an easy process, so get some tools and read tutorials thouroughly. Read through threads like this.

Ok, where can I download the newest version of Visual Boy Advance, and where can I find good tutorials for Advance Map, because the ones on this forum are way to hard for me to understand. Oh, and with Visual boy Advance, can I play through the game until the end and save my game and all that, just like I was playing it on a game boy advance? Thanks!

Google or yahoo for VBA! It isnt that hard to figure it out im still learning and well it is almost common since cause I learned all the stuff first hand with out tuts>
Yes you can play the whole game just as if you are using a real GBA!

Ok, i downloaded VBA, and it worked fine. Now, can someone tell me what I would need and how to change the player's sprites? Also, what would I need to change the level of my pokemon? How can I delete the people in my game? The one I want to delete is the one in LittleRoot who will not let you leave the town until you have a pokemon. Thanks, and sorry for all of the questions!

Unlz .gba, RS Ball and PokePic will help change player sprites (The big ones) and Overworld Editor and Spread will change the mini overworlds.
Most of these programs come included with EliteMap.

By level of Pokemon, what do you mean? (Like level of enemies, wild or starter Pokemon). AdvanceMap to change Wild Pokemon, Pet to change trainer's Pokemon and a Hex Editor to do all 3.

You can delete people with AdvanceMap (Under the events toolbar).

Also, before you post more questions, maybe you should search through this thread to see if they have already been answered.

I searched and couldn't find an answer so here's my problem:
I'm edit a level of Pokemon Sapphire in Elitemap, then I save the level, and close Elitemap.
Then, when I open up the level I edited, the tiles are completely different and 50-75% of the map is messed up! This has happened to both the Mauville City and Rustboro City edits I've tried to make.
Is there any way to stop this from happening?

P.S. I can post links to before-and-after pictures if needed.

Advance Map won't open the ROMs I have, it just freezes up.
I've tried redownloading Advance Map as well as the ROMs, but that doesn't seem to fix it.

Yeah happens to me a lot too. Be patient when it loads cuz it takes a little while. It seems like it freezes and not responds but in reality it just takes long to load.

I'm trying to access Cyclone but when I open it, it tells me that "Component FM20.DLL or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" how do I get this program to work?

im hacking emerald but if you remove oak taking you to the lab and dont remove the proper scripts then you will end up walking somewhere with no one there

okay
now remove the people and scripts by the grass by making them the highest events/scripts/people/etc. them delete them by click on the events and moving them down by the number of people and scripts the number there are

you search the coponent on google then download it

No matter how many times I try.., I can't change the title screen of my Ruby hack. I don't know how... I guess...

I just want to change the VERSION word in the title screen "RUBY VERSION" to "RUBY DESTINY"...

In Advance Map, how do I make new map headers without replacing old ones? When I view the header on maps, the button "Created New Names" is faded, and could not be clicked... help please?

I have the same problem and I found nothing out. At the beginnig it worked but later on there's just an empty space or -----------------------. I don't know why. And reinstalling isn't helping.

When I took item scripts from Viridian forest, and put them on a route, I put them as people, and when ever I pick up the item, I get it, and then when I walk one step, it reappears. Why?

I have a few questions that need awnsers....

4.When i add new city's and try to change there name it also changes the name of an other city like im making pallet town i change the name to that click the change name ubtton click find click on an offset click repoint but evry time it changes the name of other city's like little root town

Ok, the problem with UnLZ GBA is fixed, now, when I import a new image to replace a pokemon, how do I create a pokemon with its own name, types, stats, etc, with that image and import it into the ROM(Sapphire)? Thanks!

under the wild pokemon view, once you have loaded your ROM, it has what wild pokemon appear on the route or town/city (of course if you want them in a city you would have to click expand first to create wild pokemon data on the map)the more that one pokemon appears in the wild pokemon view, the more common it is. Lets say on Route 1. there are:
Pidgey
Rattata
Pidgey
Rattata
Pidgey
Rattata....(etc.)
there are 6 slots of Pidgey and Rattata each, which means they are equally common. Now lets say you were to add 1 Squirtle, over a Pidgey.
Rattata would be more common than Pidgey and a Squirtle will be extreemely rare.

1. You could change the badge in hex, I am not sure where though xD

2. In Unlz.gba Ruby/Sapphire- Groudon/Kyogre = 78
Fire Red/Leaf Green- Image offset = 0xEAD508 under 256 colour mode
-Pokemon Image = 0x40E740 under 16 colour mode

Well of course a DP sprite is too big, they get bigger each generation... a Sapphire Sprite is 64 x 64 whereas a DP sprite is 80 x 80, also index the sprite by exporting the image you want to get rid of and then paste the DP sprite over it and then import that.

Search for that file on google and then put it in the same location as where the program is.

actually, you can. Get an image editor, then resize the sprite until it fits.

If I have a saved game on Pokemone FireRed, and then I edit the ROm in Advance Map, do I have to restart the game to see the effects? And, in VBA whenever I play FireRed, it always starts the game like there was no save file, but there is. Please help, thanks!

I can answer half your question :P
If you save in a pokemon center, then edit the town it's in, you can see the difference.

You just have to "reload" a map to see the difference if your in it.

Read the tutorial of Scizz in the documents and tutorial section here. For changing the speed and the attacks also use Amplifier form the link above.

Use hex or script to create a person event so that they give 99 rare candies.

In Hex, 99 rare candies = [44][63]

can i make it so when i use a dragon scale on eevee it evolves into the dragon evolution?

You could make a Pokemon hold and maybe level up or trade with the item or you could create a similar item to the stones and create a dragon scale that does that, could mean alot of scripting/hexing and then change the evolution data, I think there is a tutorial on this site on how to do it.

1. It depends what events though, some scripts only correspond to the map originally made... so you could create new scripts.

2. There is a code I think that can turn wild battles on and off(I know the one in gold) but I wouldn't know where the code in hex for FR would be.

on my new custom pokemon game (FR BASE) i am recreating johto but with a few minor adjustments. But when prof elm comes and warns you not to leave newbark without a pokemon he says here come with me. And leads me to the lab except the lab is in a different place. Can i make prof elm walk to the NEW LAB??

1. Bewildered and BaseEdit say the message " Supported ROM, but wild pokemon base is unspecified". BaseEdit says that the monster name is unspecified.

2. Is there a program that changes the text in games, such as the intro with the professer?

3. With FireRed, the names of Pokemon in Patted are messed up.

4.How do I use Spread?

Hey dude I feel ur pain this whole thread is one CROWDED FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!!!! Half of our questions get answered around here and the majority of the time no one can help. Whenever I try to post my own thread they say the moderator has to let it launch but it never shows up on the message boards.

Anyway to answer your question, if u wanna change the region I would try using this program called Cyclone which will change the overworld map to your liking just make sure you saved the pallete of the region but I don't know the offset in Unlz. As far as adding a new region I'm trying to do the same so we're in the same position so, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US!!!!?????

ok, i make a script, im not a noob, i have both the ROM (fire red) and my script saved in the same folder. I go to open my Script with scriptEd and nothing appears. I have saved it right, i have put the .rbc at the end, but still nothing appears on ScriptEd, when i open it with Rubikon notepad it shows. This is a problem because when i compile the script, and i talk to the designated person in the game, no script appears, which means ScriptEd has compiled nothing.
Please help me.
(PS) dont tell me to download Irish Witch's pokescript whatever its called, because i dont want to download anything new.
(PSS) i also have redownloaded ScriptEd, and it has not fixed.

Although some people don't need to, a reason ScriptED may not work for many is because it doesn't see the file extension. To make it see it, in a folder, go to Tools> Folder Options> View, and turn off the "hide filetype extensions" box.

Some things to make all clear: first, I'm not new at romhacking, so yay. Second, I'm not so new at P.C., I just preffer to read than write. Checking all approx. 60 pages of help topic would take me too much time... If the answer was somewhere earlier, sorry. So, here goes whole problem.

WARNING! HEX!

I've seen the movie with red Gyarados in Shiny Gold (btw. good luck Zel at finising it!), and I would like to know - how looks the script of this battle, but... in hex. Yeah, not Rubikon, but hex.

Mine looks like this:

6A 5A B6 99 01 46 00 30 A1 99 01 02 00 28 28 00 C5 29 00 04 B7 53 02 00 6C 02

Now, analyzing my script...
6A 5A - stops all sprites on the map, turns the sprite of the wild pokemon to the player
B6 - wild pokemon battle command
99 01 - hex number of a pokemon
46 - level (in dec is 70)
00 - item, which the wild pokemon is holding (here - nothing)
next 99 01 - sound of a pokemon (the same hex number as pokemon)
00 04 - flag
02 00 - number of a sprite on the map - this sprite will disappear after the battle
6C 02 - end of the script.
Rest is unknown for me, but without it the script would not work.

So, any ideas? Thank you in advance for help.

With ScriptEd working i can finally make a script, which sadly doesnt work ;o;
overflow error, its late and i cant see any errors in it, can you guys? (it is saved as .rbc file and no spaces in name of Script and ROM, both in same folder)

Odds are this is a dumb question and has been answered more than once before, but looking through 47 pages for any help with this, isn't my idea of profitable time...

anyway... i can not for my life figure out how to get diamond cutter to work... I've tryed renaming scripted to rubikon and all other things, but no luck anywhere,

even redownloading it hasn't helped me...

if anyone can help me set it up so i can use it that would be great...

and one more question, what do raw commands in scripts do?

odds are you have a messed up rom, try getting a clean one and see if that helps

I think your best bet might be to write over the old maps with new ones, but that's just me. :\

i think you can use advance map for emerald's wild pokemon, like the rest of the advance gen pokemon games,

editing the starters can be done in a ton of ways, u can use hex, or apps found in the toolbox.. i'm not shure if all the apps work on emerald though, so u might have to hex edit them...

I'm having trouble opening Advance Text. Whenever I attempt to open it, it says that it needs to close and gives the options to send (or not send) an error report. However, it doesn't help either way.

Is it not compatible with the laptop I am using? Because whenever I use a different laptop, it opens fine.

Ok, I have a potentially disaterous problem. When I open up a menu or get into a wild Pokemon battle in one of my caves, I end up "becoming" a Trainer on the map and have limited movements. The Trainer's overworld also becomes the male hero. I have a screenie. If anyone knows how to solve this I would be extremely grateful.

I'm not sure about how you would change the levels in Ruby but you can use Advance Mart to edit the PokeMart items.

It still isn't working after I've downloaded it again.

If it helps any, I downloaded it from rhtools.scizz.net twice and then from wah.studiopokemon.com twice. The filename shows up as a-Text_311.zip.

This happened to me, I asked the question before, but now I can't find the answer I recieved.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Unknown, and Values of your trainer, in AdvanceMap.
I'll look for my post later.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was a different questions.
My suggestions include switching the position of the guy who you battle. That's what I did, and now it works fine.

THis probably has to do something with the pointers.
I suggest, you download PokePic, which comes with EliteMap, if you need to go back to the BackSprite.

I found many questions similair to this, but not quite what I'm looking for.
I'm making a hack of Sapphire. Using Advance Map, I created a new house in LittleRoot. I also created the inside of the house and inserted it into the ROM. However, when I enter the house, it takes me to a black screen where the only thing visible is my overworld sprite. He can face different directions, but not move around or go back outside.
When I click "Folloe Warp" in Advance Map, it takes me to the correct place.
What could I have done wrong?

The map, in most cases, is corrupted.
First, look at your warp, and make sure it's warping to the correct place.

Then, check all the events inside the house, if there are any, and make sure nothing is wrong with them.

If all these are fine, your map is just simply corrupted, and as of now, there is no way to fix it, just re-create it elsewhere.

Did you edit the moves?
Pokemon Trainers, not only have pokemon you can edit, but you can edit their moves too, unlike normal trainers. It should be near the bottom of PET.

Ok, tried that. Nothing changed. I think there are some pointers or something that are incorrect. Could that be possible? I'm still new to this, so there could be something I have to tell it to do that I'm not.

Also, I have another map in Oldale that leads to a cave. You can go into the cave just fine, but the warp that's supposed to take you back out doesn't work.

Go to the toolbox. It has a bunch of good newer tools and an archive to equally good older tools.
I do have a question about a tool though, and it may not exist, but...
I'm looking for a user friendly Trainer editor. Something that let's me edit who has what pokemon and their moves. I saw people talking about PET? Is that a trainer editor?

Ok, go to the Toolbox in the Emulation section of the forum.
go to the temporary tools resource and download, Elite Map and Advance Map. Them two are the key things a hacker needs. You can also go in the Tools archive and download Sappy for music hacking, A-Starter (change the starter Pokemon) etc.
You might also want to get a Hex-Editor such as Translhextion (which i use), or another one such as Hex Workshop. Just google them. To start scripting and such, go to the Documents/Tutorials in the Emulation section, and have a look at Christos' tutorials (for help with scripting) and Zel's "homemade" (XD) tutorials, for help with a bit of graphics and other usefull things. Also make use of the other tutorials there. If you are stuck, feel free to pm me.

PET is a trainer editor. For help with that, go to the Documents/Tutorials, and im pretty sure i saw a tutorial on Trainer Editing.

If you had created a new map since you selected another map than your new map has the same properitys than the selected map(That includes the map name as well!)

Any way to avoid this? Cuz if you select a map, it kinda like can't be deselected...

I've inserted a new player's back set into my Sapphire ROM. For the male trainer it worked fine, because it used the same pallete colors. For the female, who also used the same colors as the male, the game changes the colors. I don't know why it does that though, it says that both images use the same pallete, so shouldn't they show the same colors?

Oh Okay. If you want to edit the map shown in the PN, you have to use unLZ. Open your ROM and search for the map of HOENN. Maybe you should use the Black/Whit color mode.

It should lay by number 200-800 or so. Just Save it Edit it and insert it. If you want to import the KANTO Map, you have to open FR/LG and search by number 200-500 for the map. Save it. Open your another rom and search for the map. Import the Kanto Map.(But be carefull maybe the Kantomap is bigger than the Hoenn map and you can't import it. Of course you can delete the Auto abort function but so you maybe have probs. I just warn you):)

Maybe no need to ask the question but anyway...:

I can answer your second question. You have to have the Warp number of the exit to the cave the same as the entrance Warp number. It sounds complicated but it's not. The warp number can be edited by looking just above the Warp settings. You know the things that say something like "Map Number" and that.

PET has a bug on that. The move list is shifted by 1, so you have to select the move that is after the one you want. If you want it to know POUND you have to select KARATE CHOP. I think that it's because Interdpth forgot that 0x0000 means "no move", since that option is not there and 0x0001 POUND is in its place.
If you want it to make it know psicho boost (0x0162), the last element on the list, you have to edit it in hex. The pokemon data offset is displayed in pet.

Find the program "Free Space Finder". Tell it to find some free space, and then use the number it gives you in unlzgba in the "image offset" field when importing the new pokemon's image.

I'm trying to use pokescript but I'm having a very hard time getting it to work. I followed the tutorial very throughly but can't get it to work. For starters I tried to use the compile button but it never showed up when I right clicked my rbc file. I then tried using method 2 but when I'm in the other program and when I click on the book icon and open my rom the program freezes......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the repointing in A-Text, that's strange, it always repoint it for me. Maybe u have no more space empty/you're writing too much (that's unlikely, just an idea).
For Ultima Super, there's a whole tutorial about pokescript that fully explains smtg linear as u ask for. Check it, try a script and then ask if it's correct.
For me:
1-I've looked a lot, but can't find an easy way to do what i want to, which is, ehr, translating? I'm italian and i'm doing a funny text hack (with a bit of scripting too, i'm learning) but to use all the toolz, i've had to use the english rom. Any way to quickly find ALL the offsets for text? A full (or near-full) A-text or Poketext .ini for Pokemon Ruby is available? Or some procedure to easily find text in hex editors (some code at the beginning? who know?) to distinguish from the scripts itself?
For now, i'm playing the game looking for all the messages, but that's terrible (and i'll sure missing stg)
2-In the simple questions, sbd asks 4 creating new pokemon where the missingno. are (near 252-260). "U can but u need repointing". WHAT? XD what exactly should i do (other than creating the sprites, modifying attacks and, if i want, evolution, with the tools)?

If it is editing the text to make it longer, then that shouldn't be too hard, use a-text to find the text and keep the offset in notepad. Now you must make sure you have downloaded thingy32 (Can be found at WAH) and use the TABLAS.tbl as the table file, it will show all of the text. Another way is with Translhexation, which allows you to use Thingy32 Table files. What you do is with that open the TABLAS file and go to find using table, and type in the text, from there you will be able to find the text you are looking for. Using a hex editor will allow you to expand the text there.


EDIT: For those of you who may need it, I have located the offset for the Emerald Trainer Back Sprite for a program such as TLP or Tile Molester: D66580.

Alright, I need some help with a problem I'm having. I'm trying to put a script in Fire Red, that adds in dialogue. Now, I've followed this tutorial to a tee, but every time that I play my game, I just get a blank text.

I thought it was a problem with how I was inserting the script, but I've tried other scripts, and those work just fine.

Here is an example of an attempted dialogue script:

I compiled this, put the offset into advance map, and loaded the ROM. But when I talk to the person, I get some unrecognizable characters. (This is interesting, as my usual attempts result in blank text boxes)

I feel like I must be doing something really obvious wrong, but I don't know what.

the script seems right, at least for ruby. dunno if FireRed use the same commands (think yes BTW)

Hello, I'm creating a pokemon ruby hack, and i am having serious trouble editing the key events, i was wondering if there was a program that helps you create new ones, e.g, when you help wally catch the ralts, or when you have to go find steven in that cave...if anybody knows anything then please let me know :)

Are you using Pokescript or ScriptEd? Cause, ScriptEd does not folow the format you are using, but if you are using Pokescript then i guess the script is ok? Cause i dont use Pokescript, i use ScriptEd.

Yeah. Like I said, I've tried other scripts, and they work. It's just, when I try for dialogue, it glitches. A box shows up, but the dialogue is either messed up symbols, or it's completely blank.

Have u tried editing a new clean rom? maybe u've overwritten sm text already there while scripting before...

P.S. anybody can help? ^^
1-I've looked a lot, but can't find an easy way to do what i want to, which is, ehr, translating? I'm italian and i'm doing a funny text hack (with a bit of scripting too, i'm learning) but to use all the toolz, i've had to use the english rom. Any way to quickly find ALL the offsets for text? A full (or near-full) A-text or Poketext .ini for Pokemon Ruby is available? Or some procedure to easily find text in hex editors (some code at the beginning? who know?) to distinguish from the whole scripts themselves?
For now, i'm playing the game looking for all the messages, but that's terrible (and i'll sure miss stg)
2-In the simple questions, sbd asks 4 creating new pokemon where the missingno. are (near 252-260). "U can but u need repointing". WHAT? XD what exactly should i do (other than creating the sprites, modifying attacks and, if i want, evolution, with the tools)?

Hmm...i do not know about adding to the existing Pokedex, but you can, nevertheless, overwrite existing Pokemon. All you need is Pokemon Amplifier, and UNLZ-GBA. You put the new sprite in with UNLZ-GBA, and use Pokemon Amplifier to change stats and so on.
To change starters go to the toolbox and download A-Starter,
Once you have done this, open your ROM and there should be three lists with Bulbassaur Squirtle and Charmander. All you do is search for your created pokemon, and select it. Its pretty simple.

Depends on what you mean by automatically... I personally choose to give the flag "0x10A" pretty early on. This flag, when combined with the regular pokedex flag will enable the national dex.

You really should have read up first, but oh well...:(
1) You more than likely have erased something that the game needed to function. If you didn't back your game up, there is nothing you can do exept start over. ~always back your game up~
2) I would use pokepic, it comes standard with Elitemap. It will let you replace the bulbasaur image with your own, that is, if it meets the same limits.

Nope, you CAN skip it (I saw it in one Hack, but don´t know which). But I really don´t know how, sry...

EDIT: But now, my question: I´ve downloaded FreeSpaceFinder, I have unlZgba, and I have my Fakemon, but I don´t know;
1.) What to search (the bytes)
2.) what to do with the found number (where to put it in)

If someone knows, please tell me (but not 2 sentences please^^)

you cannot "open" a rom in it, you need to write the script in note pad and save it as .rbc, and right click it and select compile. from there bufrite will appear and you choose the destination(the rom you want the script on) then, you click the blue thing in bufrite and select one of those codes, selct burn and it's on the rom.(make sure you right down the first 6-figure number on the first thing, because that's the script offset)
and that's how you do it :)
