Hey, hey, hey! What's the big idea with including our west neighbour but not Finland, eh? I'll have you know that I'm deeply offended. <.<
Well, okay...not that offended, but still...as far as I know both languages are more or less equal in popularity so I see no reason to include one and not the other. Anyway, yeah, I speak Finnish, Swedish, and English quite fluently (Yay for multi-lingual education ^0^) and I can also speak a bit of basic German. I've studied French too and can understand some basic stuff in reading but I couldn't pronounce it for the life of me so yish, I didn't state it in the poll.

I speak English fluently since it's my native language. I've been learning French (almost!) all my life, so I speak it fairly well too. Not the greatest, but I can definitely get by. As for Japanese, I can read and write it at a decent-ish level so long as I've got a kanji dictionary, and I can speak it a bit too. Definitely not very well, but I could get around with it if I had to. XD;

I can speak English and Mandarin. I wish to speak Japanese fluently too, but frankly I have no talent with languages. o_O;

Well, the langauges I speak fluently are English and Italian. I take French in class on school days, but I never really consider speaking the language, nor do I know much. I'm not even close to being interested in learning it, but it's mandatory. I will eventually start taking classes in learning Japanese.

Spanish is my native language, and I can speak/write English very well too, even though I never took lessons; I thank closed captioning and subtitled movies, as well as English music. ^^

How long has Irish been a different language?
I speak fluent English, obviously. I'm pretty good at speaking/writing French but not that great at understanding it verbally. And I know tidbits of Italian and Spanish. Well, enough to insult people, and then apologise, whenever I'm in those countries, anyway.

I speak:
English (My name is EmeraldSky)-my native tongue
Spanish (Me llamo EmeraldSky)-I've studied this for a while, and am getting back in the groove of learning it after taking a bit of a break...I'm surprised by how much I still remember! so despite me being a bit rusty, I'm actually pretty fluent.
Japanese (Watashi wa EmeraldSky)-Thanks to watching anime, I've picked up enough words to at least survive in Japan

English, obviously; it's my native tongue. ;3
I also know some German. I'm in German III in school right now. I think I'm a little behind on vocabulary (but then again, there's a ton of native speakers in that class too, so I might not be as behind as I think), but overall, I usually understand what's going on. I can speak it okay, I guess. It's not too terrible to pronounce. I just have to remember the difference between the vowels with umlauts and the vowels without them (ie: ö and o). I hate speaking it though. I'm afraid of messing up and having the Germans laugh at me. >:
And I picked up a few random Japanese phrases; no, they aren't kawaii and baka, before you ask. I lived in Japan for four years, so I learned a few things there. It's nothing to survive, just a few random things they actually taught us in culture class. XD; I won't vote for this in the poll though.
...isn't it "Korean"? *shot*

I speak English since it's my native language and all. Then I've been learning french for about two years now so I'm pretty good with that as well. Finally, I can speak some Arabic. It's my Dad's native language so he's been teaching me since I was younger but I really had no interest in learning it. Now, I'm trying it again and I can write some and speak, enough to understand my realitives on the phone, but it's not the best by any means XD.

I'm only fluent in English atm. I have a good understanding of French (know the basics etc.), understand some Laotian (though I can't read, write or speak it fluently), know a bit of Thai (maybe), and know a few Japanese words or phrases. I've also touched on a bit of Vietnamese as well, but only know a few words and the Vietnamese orthography (alphabet).

I'm stupid, I don't know any other one fluently except for English. I can speak a little spanish, just barely, though I think I'm going to have to take it next year as a class. And a little Italian which I picked up from my Itilain grandmother and all her relatives talking.

I can speak English and Mandarin fluently. However, I'm still learning Cantonese, I can fully understand it and speak with it, but can't seem to form some sentences now and again. I actually know a bit of Malay too, it's something our school thinks we should learn, since we're growing in a multi-racial society. Go figure. Anyways, I like learning languages. =D

I'm most fluent in English. I can understand my native tongues but can't respond in them without sounding totally awkward. I lived in America for practically the first half of my life, and since English was spoken most where I stayed, I never had a chance to broaden my perspective on language. People claim I talk in my sleep sometimes. Murmurs, groans and mumbling probably wouldn't be considered an actual language though. :P

The one I speak fluently is English, although I've communicated to an extent in Spanish at work (I've been taking classes for eight years) and I've had to use Portuguese to help someone run a site before, but I don't know what's left of that. I know a very bare minimum of Catalan and French as well.

English is my primary language and I'm intermediate when it comes to Spanish. I only studied Mexican Spanish for about three years but the first two years of it was really poor because my teachers continuously switched out (and many substitutes). So I had to take an after-school college class that offers a Spanish class. It's going well so far.

Thanks to the italian studies of my mom and Beyblade G-Rev I know a few words in Italian, and same goes for my tiny knowledge of Japanese (but that's only thanks to anime)

I only speak English. I really do regret not carrying on learning French or Spanish, though. I think it's quite important to learn a different language other than your native language.
I can speak a little bit of French, but only what I learnt at school. I can also speak a little bit of Portuguese, although, it's only a limited amount of words that I've gathered from my job. Hopefully when I've been there for a longer period of time I'll be able to speak it properly.

I love swearing in Japanese though alot
Lol, I do that a lot too...I usually try to do that under my breath though, particulary when I'm in school...although if I get really going, then I'll be shouting it at the top of my lungs...I clearly recall in gym class one time when we were playing team hand ball, and some kid elbowed me hard...and I wheeled around and practicaly screamed "KII-SAMA!!" And then after that...enter "Crickets Chirping Mode" xD;;

I speak English because i came to America when i was about 5 and now if you look at me i have about 6 language arts awards for excellence in English. As for Spanish it was a required class in elementary, and i hated it, though i learned how to speak a few words in Spanish through my sister-in-law. And i know jow to read Jamaican, because my family is Jamaican and so am i but i came to the USA when i was little so i forgot my heritage quickly.>=(
