First of all, how do you evolve Chancey into Blissey? Is it just making it happy? Second, whats a good set of moves for Blissey?

EDIT:
Also, whats a good pre-elite-four phychic pokemon? I'm using Alakazam right now, but he has really low health so I usually can only get in one hit with him before he gets killed -.-

jynx... it's just as weak as alakazam, but has ice attacks to help you get through a lot quicker. trade a poliwhirl for it.

hypno... can take a lot of hits and is easy to catch.

You can get the TM 13 (Ice Beam) at the Rocket Game Corner as well as Iron Tail, Thunderbolt, Shadowball And Flamethrower.

There is no better Psychic-type in the game than Alakazam. With its speed and power it should be able to KO things before it gets hit. Sounds to me like you are keeping it in when you should be switching it out to something else.

Blissey's moveset has already been covered. Just make sure that it is Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) and you max its Def EVs.

Alakazam is UHMAZING..fire/ice/thunder punch with psycic. Max out Sp. Attack and you rock.

So is fire/ice/thunder punch a Special Attack move then? Cause it's kinda confusing, being a punch and all.

And since this is FR/LG discussion, you will not be able to evolve your Chansey until after the Elite Four since you get the national dex after Elite Four. I maxed out my Chansey's happiness at about level 34 (caught level 29) and it would start to evolve, but then once it started changing shape it would just say "...?" and that's it.

In this generation attacks are categorized as special or physical by what type of move it is(fire, electric, normal, etc.).

How does Chansey learn Seismic Toss?

It learns Seismic Toss through the Move Tutor in Pewter City, at the Museum, through the entrance you have to use Cut to get to.

Once again, Chansey and Golbat WILL NOT evolve in FRLG until you have successfully defeated the Weak Five, and are in possession of the National Pokedex from Prof. Oak (requires 70 different species in your Pokedex).

Thank you! I couldn't seem to find the answer on any sites at all...

a VERY simple and quick way to get your pokemon to like you is raise its EVs, aka use vitamins. for instance, give your Chansey 10 zinc and 10 hp up, and once you raise it up a level and have the national dex, it'll surely evolve.

I think this thread is pretty much done for by now. Everything that could be has been said, and the rest is only unnecessary repeating of things that were already mentioned.
So I'm going to lock this now.
