For starters, your banner makes my eyes hurt. The repeaty-tiley thing on the Pikachu and the text just makes me feel dizzy, and it's hard to read. x.x
Moving on to the rest, it just doesn't fit together very well in some places. You desperately need some padding on #globalNav (though it doesn't appear that you even have #globalNav in your CSS.) You don't even need very much, three pixels would probably make it look much better. I'd also change the size of the font in #globalNav to something smaller and less default-feeling.
The stuff on the right side, Pokemon of the Month, Affiliates, etc., feels like it's glomped together haphazardly. At least organize it with some of the menu headers (.menutitle) to make it more consistent with the menu on the left. Also, while on the topic of the menu, I would put the newer items closer to the top instead of vice-versa. By that, I mean instead of putting the Gameboy games at the top of the Games list, put the Diamond/Pearl at the top. Instead of putting the first Movie at the top of the Movies list, put the new Ranger movie first, etc.
As for content, you really don't have a whole lot. You appear to have started a few pages, but none of them are very useful, and if your pages aren't useful then nobody will be coming to your site anyway. What I recommend is you just sit down one day when you don't have any distractions and you have a lot of time, and just get one section as complete and detailed as possible. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make when creating new websites is that they try to do too much at once and end up with a larger number of 90%-empty, completely-useless pages. It's better to have only a few big, complete, thorough section than to have a bunch of tiny useless ones.
Overall... at least you've got your foot in the door. Just don't give up in trying to make your site great. Tweak your layout a little bit, maybe add some graphical flare here and there, and get your content up to par.
