be sure to have a little over 50 Full Restore XD. that's just the whole point of this thing really... annoy those who plan on using legendaries. my guess is anyone who actually plans on using legendaries either doesn't know crap about battling or just doesn't have much patience, so shuckle will (hopefully teehee) take care of either one. i wanted to go for a berry, gluttony and teach it Recycle so that it could manage its hp on its own, but to my fatal suprise, shuckle doesn't learn recycle =(. gamefreak made the dumbest mistake evar.
and if you're wondering if i'm being serious... i dunno, it'll be fun to try. it has a steel weak but i'm hoping that deoxys and jirachi will be maintained with physical attacks.

Just say "NO!!!!!!" to Shuckle, especially as some sort of Legendary counter. Here are a few things you are overlooking:
* Most legendaries use special attacks, making your nature and most importantly your held item useless
* You need all 510 EVs in HP, not the already very strong defenses
* You cannot put all 510 EVs in HP, making Shuckle fail
* I cannot think of a single Legendary that uses a Steel move
* This piece of crap is also weak to Rock and Water
* Most importantly, with your build Shuckle is OHKO'd by Kyogre
If you want an unorthodox Legendary wall, use Shedinja.

yah it's weak to rock too... it can still handle waters with sandstorm and toxic... but yah, i get your point. i just wanted something that can take major blows, and to completely get on the person's nerves, full restore. with a moveset like that, it can even annoy annoyers, make waste of their PPs as well.
but shedinja sounds promising. if i use it, i'll probably have to max out its protect and substitute PP. thanks shane ^.^

Dont forget the Double-Edge, every sheddy needs double edge, especially against T-tar in Ubers =D

What about the supposed boost in Special Defense that Rock-types get now in a Sandstorm? One would think that would make point #1 a good thing (the part about special attacks, not the rest of it) and point #2 pretty tough unless said Kyogre's water attack is Physical, which even then would be a long shot.
Of course, it doesn't matter overall, because Shuckle would still die from a rock or physical water attack...

wait... can rock and ground types still get inflicted with poison? that's what i was focusing on when i was saying it has a weakness against steel types. it can't inflict poison nor can it reduce hp of a steel type with sandstorm.

If this build was for DP, then I won't comment on it since I won't be having anything to do with it. The more I study about DP, the more I dislike it. Seriously, what was GF thinking???

Rock and Ground-types are also immune to Sandstorm and will have KO'd Shuckle LONG before Toxic can do anything to them. You are still concentrating on its high defenses instead of its horribly pathetic HP. Self-inflicted HP loss without any way to recover it is a horrible idea on Shuckle.
