Set Up:
2 GameBoy advances. One original. One SP.
1 FireRed: Pretty much 100% complete.
1 Emerald: Getting there. Just beat Final Four. They have been beaten. I won, blah, blah, blah.

Problems:

Problem 1:

After beating FF, I go to island one to fight the 2 Team Rocket members to get the rainbow ticket. And surprise! I cant. I cant get them to fight or do anything different then before. I thought I was able to fight them and gain entrance to the cave after I beat the FF right?

Problem 2:

I connect my 2 GBA together to trade now that I've beaten the FF in FireRed. I can get a connection, I tested it by battling with the 2. But yet when I try to trade the clerk says "I'm sorry, were not set-up to trade far away with other regions yet" like I haven't ****ing beaten the FF yet. Agian I was under the influence that after you beat the FF you can trade.

So, anyone got a clue whats going on here?

Sorry but beating the weak 5 just wont cut it this time. you have to do a side quest on the sevii islands where you get the ruby/sapphire plate for celio. ruby is 1 island sapphire is on 6, then taken to 5.after getting these gems you hand them to celio on island 1 who fixes the machine for the trading to r/s/e but also in-order to travel to the other islands (4-7) you need the national dex which is gotten from professor oak after catching/evolving 60 diffrent types of pokemon due to the fact that there are jhoto pokemon on those islands.

Oh. Ok so once I evolve/breed/whatever 60+ pokemon I can then fight the 2 team rocket grunts and then finish the side quest on the seveli islands and then I can trade?

Okay... I'll put all the conditions here...

FIRERED
1. Have at least 60 CAPTURED (this means it has all data and everything) Pokemon in your Pokedex.
2. Beat the Elite Four.
3. You should get the National Dex from Prof. Oak.
4. Defeat the two Rockets and get the Ruby. Give to Celio.
5. Go to Six Island's Dotted Hole and get the Sapphire.
6. Follow the scientist to Rocket Warehouse on Five Island and defeat him.
7. Give Sapphire to Celio.

EMERALD
1. Have at least 100 CAPTURED Pokemon in your Pokedex.
2. Beat the Elite Four.
3. You should get the National Dex from Prof. Birch.
