Personally, I think that there aren't enough POkemon centers in the US. Most people are hundreds of miles away and can't attend the fun and benificial events they hold. Plus it's an awesome store. I feel jelous about Japan with their Four pokemon centers, and I feel sorry for the people in countries that dont have pokemon centers. What do you think?

edit: There was supposed to be a poll with this, but something retarded happened that prevented me from putting up the poll, so just put your opinion in a post.

actually, japan has four (Lucky dogs). I wish we could write a petition and ask them to make more pokemon centers for us that live too far away to go to the one in New York.

Yeah, ditto for Canada. I wish we could have a Pokemon Center here too, though it's not as far from New York as Australia. :P

They should have one everywhere in the world. I'd love to visit one near my home, but my country's too small to possibly have one.

I want one in Hong Kong!!!
Only one, not demanding for more.

You have no idea what it's like to live in a country as vast as ours...Most of our states are bigger than all European countries...

I find it odd that Japan is roughly the size of Montana, yet they have four pokemon centers there...surely pokemon is more popular over here than it is in Japan! Even if they made more, I'm stuck out in the country faraway from all major cities. I just plain think it would be smart to make another pokemon center somewhere in America...although personally I'd love it to be in Cincinnati, it would likely be somewhere like Chicago or DC or Denver...

just one more pokemon center, and before you know it, the success will grow and they'll build more, just like japan. All we need is one more to start a trend.

Hmm... you guys are kind of forgetting that Pokemon's popularity is waning. Japan has four Pokemon Centers because it has so many people and Pokemon is still HUGE there. Yes, the US is a big country as well, but the Pokemon Center is a specialty store and in order to build one, there has to be a certain threshold population in the city. (That's also why it was built in New York and not a more central location - because NY is where it would likely get the most business.) There just wouldn't be enough profit from opening another store. o.o Besides, it could be worse, there could be none at all outside of Japan. =\

Oh, and I can add a poll if you want. What do you want the options to be, "yes" and "no"? ^_^;

I'll definitely go and visit Australia if there is one there, or anywhere around SE Asia so long as it is not Japan. I doubt I would be able to go there, that's why. (Very ex-)

Yup, definately need many more Pokmon Centers in the world. If they need to place one in some cities, they could downsize them if popularity isn't high there. They definately need some in other major cities in the US as well as the rest of the world.

Pokmon popularity in the US? I dunno, but Pokmon Colloseum and Pokmon Ruby and Saphire were massive hits. Colloseum still is one of the best selling games right now and Ruby and Saphire already hit well over 1 million sells.

ya but one million is not enough to run a store soley for pokemon.

I said well over 1 million. Also, Pokmon yellow reached a record 3 million.

Besides that, the show was ranked number 1 AGAIN recently!

Cherrim

Well over 1 million where? Just in the United States as a whole? That's not enough for a specialty store like that. You need a BIG fanbase in order to support a store like that. As in... 1 million fans in the city alone. Otherwise, it won't work out. =\

Well, um. I dont think we need alot of Pokemon Centers, just ones in big cities, like there's one in New York City, right? If there was one in my town, it'd be sorta funny to see how many less Pokemon fans there are.

Logically, IF they make another pokemon center (I don't think they will) they'd make it in California, the second biggest import place in the U.S.
I'm suprised they didn't make on in Europe ANYWHERE. Hm. Well, I guess we'll see.
Also, for the person who heard of plans for one in D.C., are you sure? Cause D.C., although popular, isn't exactly a shopping place. Its more of a tourest and government thing. California is where every one goes to spend money...

Yeah its not fair! We have 1 and japan has 4 and japan is like the size of like california!

Pokemon Center DC would be cool... outside of it would be a Pikachu that is wearing a wig and clothes so it looks like George Washington! lol

But yeah, DC is more of a government place. Pokemon Center Los Angeles, anyone?

do u know what would be funny? Pokemon Center Las Vegas! lol, and there would be 18 and under slots! lol!

I don't know about the popularity of Pokemon in Singapore, but no one so far has complained to Chuang Yi to stop translating and sell the Pokemon Adventure manga series of books. (In fact, they reprint the older volumes once in a while.) Check the guestbook entries and there are at least 3 asking when the next volume will be sold.
So, Pokemon isn't dead here yet. It's only the anime that has a problem IMO...2 shows a week now reduced to 1...
We should really have a mini-Pokemon Centre around here, I feel.

I hope they put one in DC because I don't know about you guys, but DC is a heck of a lot closer than New YOrk.

There aren't any in Manitoba at all at least none that I've heard of

Cherrim
May 8th, 2004, 10:52 AM
Nope, you'd be hard-pressed to find one in Manitoba since the only one in all of North America is in New York. ^_^;;

I have to be grateful that I live in New Jersey, about 2 and a half hours from NYC, but there should be one in every three states or something like that. But, there's always online shopping!
