You could use a Zubat/Golbat/Crobat with Mean Look :)

Yeah, that's what the move Mean Look does, it stops pokemon from fleeing from battle :)

I think you mean wobbuffet... they have the ability shadow tag which prevents foes from fleeing or switching out =P, but they cant quite damage very well, so you're better off with a mean looker

That's true no TM for Mean Look, btw Gengar is pretty fast along with crobat so it's whichever you get first...i'd recommend Gengar, careful though weak to psychic...so obvious choice..if you have one..is wobby.

Edit: forgot to say Crobat is also weak to psychic, though you probably know this..just in case.

okay i had the same problem with mesprit, and i swear to god i wanted to kill that pokemon.so here is some advice and a loop hole.

if you cant get gengar(i did not),then catch a pokemon that knows mean look, equip with quick claw, use mean look and try to cause as much damage till the pokemon somehow manages to escape.i had alot of luck using that pokeball that you use in the begining of the battle,it was one rotation from capture.well i started again and this time misprit you are coming home with me in a masterball.

God bless Master Balls. My play time would be tripled by now without them.
