I've always wanted to learn the violin because it is the most beautiful instrument in the world...and then the piano...but I learned the loud and hard to use trumpet...son-of-biscuit

I have three-year of playing the saxophone. I never wanted to learn piano, violin, or any orchestra instrument cus I hate anything calm.. >.< I wanted saxophone cus it seemed cool.
Unfourtunately, I'm not in band anymore cus my teacher kicked me out cus I p***ed him off. I did graffiti, said bad words, and dressed gothic, and he said that if I was going to be in band, then I better change. I told him to *bleep* off so he kicked me out. He tried calling my mom, but I deleted the message on the answering machine. ^^;;
My family wanted me to try out for flute, but I said that's too d**** girly. >.<;;
My brother's learning violin! ^.^

I wouldn't know where to vote...I play piano very good, I self-taught myself when I was 7 so I don't know what this grade thing is...
I just got enrolled into piano class and it's SO EASY because so many things that the teacher teaches I already taught myself...x_x so why waste so much money on private lessons when you can learn in 3 years of practicing by yourself? oh but this gotta help some anyways... ^_^
I want to learn how to play guitar!!
oh and I also played a little flute but I forgot everything now... ^^ >_>
And it's true, I don't enjoy playing piano right after listening to Linkin Park or Evanescence or Shakira x_x. Playing the piano really fast can be fun...:P but I do enjoy calm things too sometimes ^^ sometimes...sometimes I wish I could play a louder instrument (that would drive my dad nuts though...he hates all that extremely noisy noise...he likes classic rock >_>)

I used to play the trumpet, so I picked brass instruments. Well, I can still play the trumpet, but I haven't had lessons or practiced for around 2 years since I moved away from the school that had a band. ;_; I forgot to sign up for band at HS too, so... yeah. o.o I want to get back into lessons, though. The trumpet is an awesome instrument.
...even if it is really heavy and a major pain to tote around. o_O

I play the guitar, piano (by ear), a bit of cello, tenor saxophone, a bit of percussion, and eh... Thas' it, unless you count the 5 dollar recorder that's required. But this year I'm in the Concert Band, so I play the tenor sax! 7th grade, no literally, that's my grade. We play like Grade 2 to 4 music.

Iv been playing drums since 5th grade. n.n() That's nearly six years now if I'm not mitaken. X.o() Last year I took guitar for a semmester, and I didn't really like the class. My brother gave me his electric guitar a few months later, and I enjoy electric alot more than acoustic...
That's really all. I'm not in a public school, so I take private lessons else where.

Yay. I started private classes. I've decided group ones SUCK, and I'm never going to one again. >_> Sooo...I think I better try my best because, I'm good at playing, but I can't read basic stuff but I play songs that are kind of hard XD so yup it's really messed up...I hated havinig to answer
"First time playing piano?"
"No."
"Where did you go to classes before you came here?"
"Nowhere. I taught myself"
"So in what in which level do you think you might be?"
"I don't know"
x_x but it's alright now...so yay.
I'm happy though, the guy that saw me play said it seems like I have a nice strategy for playing and seem to have talent and if I wanted to stay I should because it would help me lots. BOO YA!
I still want to learn guitar someday...^_^ *now has evil plans to learn how to play a guitar by herself* My parents can. So far I've saved $50 dollars to see if I can buy one myself! XP

Does the recorder count?
*sigh* I've played piano for a little more than six years, and am grade three. Yes, I started lessons late and I'm not very talented, and most of that time I forced myself to play. Piano just doesn't "sing" to me. I've always wanted to try a wind instrument instead of piano, though I don't know which one. If I could pick something, then maybe I could convince the folks to trade in the piano....*more sighing*

Wind instrument? I love to learn one too. I know how to play the piano, recorder, guzheng (zither) basics (but a bit rusty by now ^^;; ), erhu (a chinese bow instrument). Wish I could get a chance to play the dizi (chinese wind instrument) too, coz I have confidence to learn a new instrument and I probably have enough breathe to be able to blow it (maybe).
I love the Grade 7 pieces this year :D

^__^ I'd love to see what a erhu and a dizi look like! Do you have a picture? There's a wind instrument with an Arabian sound to it...though I can't recall the name. I'd like to try it, or maybe some other one.

Well I found these. The one with the bow is the erhu, and the dizi is the woodwind instrument that is a flute.
Here's the link to where I found them.

I've no idea. It really depends.
Like if you have to play an intrument with the use of hands like guzheng or erhu or pipa your fingers will really have to be nimble.
If it's woodwind instruments I think you'll have to be able to hold your breathe for some periods of time. Often the ones playing the dizi at school went out of tune or rhythm because they could not do so.
Maybe the easiest to not to get out of tune with is the drums ;)
