Drifloon just won't go away...

Hi everybody! Hope you're all having a great Pokemon adventure, or something.
Anyway, I've been resetting for about 2-3 hours trying to get a shiny Drifloon. Now I'm not complaining about this, but it strikes me as odd... the time on the DS menu is 12:19. Saturday. Yet when I reset, Drifloon still shows up. But Drifloon only shows up on Friday. It is not Friday. So the big question is... why is there still a Drifloon?
I should also really be soft-resetting to save time, but I fear that if I do, it'll make Drifloon go away. Is my lack of soft-resetting keeping Drifloon at the valley windworks? Has anyone else experienced this? Or do Drifloons just like me? :P

well you saved ur game right in front of drifloon right?
the game in its memory has saved that map with everything in it
so when it loads another map, and you come back to it, it won't be there anymore

Hehe thanks, I saw it in the default ones and thought it was cute :P

And thanks for the info! So no matter what I do, as long as I don't leave the map, Drifloon will always be there? Sweeet.
